Soap who hated himself every time he had to be harsh with her and said it wouldn't work. Soap who blamed himself for not being able to hlep her more. Soap who also recognizes that his mother is her own person and will get through the hardships, but she's also going to make her own decisions, good or bad.

Soap who's hesitant to share any of his problems because what if someone else needs his shoulder to lean on more. Soap who was hesitant when Ghost said he wanted him, regardless of his own feelings, because he was afraid he'd be like his mother. Soap who sometimes has bad nights in Simon's arms because he can't fix any of it.
