Ooh hang on- for kwko kids, what grade of music do they play at? I'd assume specifically 🐚 plays grade 10 or 11(I'd have to check how la campenella is graded) but I don't know all that much about string/flute mastery grading lol(this popped into my head cause my teacher said I'm ready for grade 8/possibly grade 9(!!) Pieces now and im Excited..)

And you are correct! Most of them are actually at around grades 9/10 currently. I've talked about it before in private but KWKO are kind of outliers in skill among their peers, even Karin aside (who's just. Like That). I evoke anime license to whether that's realistic or not.

Karin has graduated Grade 10 a while back in Junior High and is currently (at the beginning of the story) working on her Mozart 4 & 5 (and failing miserably but don't tell her I told you that). Kairi is working his way through Grade 10 exam but his grading is kind of skewed because he has a bad tendency to jump to pieces he's not ready for and just brute force it. Suzuka and Reishi are comfortably at grade 8, Reishi is learning Reinecke (grade 9, for no particular reason than that he likes it) and Suzuka is just chilling.

Maki's a bit of a strange one because with her as well grading is all over the place and she never followed an official syllabus & was left to her own devices a lot. She never passed any exam but I'd say she's at about... 5? 6? with just the pieces she could reasonably learn in a set amount of time. But then she just kind of falls through with scales/arpeggios which she probably (absolutely) doesn't play well enough for that level when you isolate them from the pieces. She's a mixed bag with weird skills.

Akari's also in a weird place in that she graduated Grade 10 a while back too, but her skills are very unlikely to still hold up to that standard as of right now.
