I like to think the R.A. is technologically advanced, but is forced to use the old Cold war/WW2 era planes due to a lack of material and money to buy jet fighters and jet bombers.

Like, they use Lavochkin and Yakovlev planes (like La-5 and Yak-9) and Tupolev and Petlyakov bombers (Tu-4 and Pe-8), which are WW2 mostly era.

And if there's like any Blue/Green rebellion, they could have jet era fighters, mostly british and usa I suppose? Like the Eurofighter Typhoon, or if they are lucky, an A-10 Thunderbolt II (ground attack).

I'm pretty sure a few well trained pilots with a few Typhoons could take down a fleet of Cold war era props and bombers, with luck as well. Most russian planes are made of wood, and wouldn't resist new war tech so Tord's army would either have to surrender, either run away and get new aircrafts.

Same goes for tanks and ground vehicles.
