Hey guys. I know I don't do much promotion stuff here, but I figured since I just released a big update I'd do one.
I've been working on a Minecraft Mod called the Enlightened Mobs mod. What does it do? It effectively turns you into any mob in the game, with some extra player flair for some of them. Using both the Origins mod and the Customizable Player Models mod, this mod gives you the abilities of the chosen mob, good and bad, while also giving you the size and appearance of the mob. The lore here is that you are a mob that has suddenly been granted the consciousness of a player.
How does it work? The mod itself is an Origins addon. You technically don't need CPM for the mod to function, but you're gonna run into some interesting problems if you don't. The way CPM works has to do with your skin. If you upload the skin corresponding to your chosen mob (link in the mod description), the mod will read your skin and change your model to the chosen mob! This does mean you have to choose your mob before you open the game. I'm working on a Google Doc with all the mobs and their powers listed.
A neat thing about CPM, though, is that you can download the skin model (also in the mod description), and with that, you can open it in the Skin Editor found in the top left of the main menu and give yourself a little custom flair!
Here's some screenshots of the mod in action.
What a Warden sees.
A Warden in full Netherite.
A Creeper exploding. (Also baby's first Replay Mod Render)
An example of a custom Enderman skin.
Here's the link to the mod if you wanna check it out!
Currently I have made exactly 30 Mobs. So that makes... 30/74. Almost halfway there!
