Five hours before a deadline when you've been sweating over the right introduction for days always brings out the worst in me, so I have decided to quote Thomas Aquinas in order to begin an essay that isn't even about him and you know what sometimes I think I should be allowed to be a pretentious git

#I'm not even that well up on Aquinas if I'm honest he just seems to be the only guy who can give me a passable definition of the issue #Even though he lived about half a century later than the subject of the essay #So I'm trying to justify it to myself because this is NOT good method #On the other hand I also do think we should all be a little pretentious at least once in our lives #My essay for my other course is already going to lower my grade average spectacularly #Why not at least ruin this essay in STYLE #To be fair #I lack self-restraint #And there are worse things you can do when you lack self-restraint than quote long-dead Dominican friars #Also should note that just because I'm sweating over the introduction that doesn't mean I'm behind #I just tend to write my introductions and conclusions last #My excuse it it allows me to reorganise my thoughts more effectively; in reality it's just because I'm a Coward and they scare me
