#I'm imagining feathery bird wings but I think most of these could work with other wings too.

K k so- Ramble time!
I have this little project that's been in my head for a while and has gotten bigger and better yet I have very little documentation of it hjgrhuyjgse- I've been calling it Project: Phobia though I'm probably gonna change the name eventually. I might talk about the story and characters and whatnot another time, but! Here's the critters I have created for it at the moment! Also keep in mind that this is in an underground setting! The environments may vary, but there is always a ceiling somewhere above and tunnels between places. This also takes place in a big lab with greenhouses and all that fun stuff!
I don't have any images of them other than some traditional sketches of one and the only photo of it that I can pull up rn has kinda dim lighting jhfgjhregjerg but I'm working on it-
Firstly are the anglers! Think Half-Life barnacles but with no visible tongue, dull brown and more squished body, and with loooooong thin stalks with big glowy bulbs like an anglerfish! Which is where they get their name. Basically they hang around on the ceiling and hang their little bulbs to attract prey. They have a long tongue and are pretty strong and sturdy. When something touches their bulbs/stalks, their tongue snaps down and snatches them up into their mouth, and they retract their stalks towards the ceiling to avoid getting them irritated by curious critters until they've finished their meal. Sometimes they'll move to another place if they're not getting any catches. Their feet are like little claws and they skitter around sometimes, though if they're stuck on the ground they'd be forced to slowly scooch around like a slug.
Next are the behemoths! Not very developed, but they're these big fluffy bird/moth things with four wings, a big poofy neck ruff, compound eyes, the moth antennae, bird beak, six legs, and a long feathery tail. I typically imagine them as pure white, but there'd likely be a lot of patterns/colors it could be, especially since it's based off of birds and moths. Adults are pretty huge, think like five adult people on top of each other's shoulders. The babies, though, are the size of a house cat and are very fuzzy and fluffy. Typically there'll be one adult female looking after her babies, and when they get old enough everyone separates and claims their own lil den.
Then the hydras/pseudohydra! Also not too developed hhh. The hydras are these huge scaly things with komodo dragon-esque bodies, leathery bat wings, and several snake heads/necks. Their colors are pretty dull and they live in the more cave-y/tunnel-esque areas. They're pretty tanky and some are venomous, though they're also pretty slow and incapable of flight. They're around the size of an adult behemoth, but tend to be slightly smaller. They're basically the kings of their clans. Pseudohydra are smaller than hydras, around the size of a house cat. Their bodies are thinner and more serpentine, their claws are more talon-like, and their wings are much larger in comparison to their bodies. They're more quick and nimble, are capable of flight, and tend to be extremely venomous, though they aren't very capable of taking a hit. They tend to flock hydras and behave as their minions. Where the hydras are the kings, they are the workers and the army. Clans usually consist of many pseudohydra and one hydra, though larger clans may have multiple hydras and even more pseudohydra. Despite the intimidating size of hydras, pseudohydra do most of the fighting, the hydras only getting involved when fighting other hydras or the spats near their nests. Hydras are extremely territorial, and because of this clans tend to fight often.
Next are a species I've been calling scolopendrphobia after the fear of centipedes, but that's pretty long and I want to give it another name. It's also more horror-looking btw. Which I haven't come up with yet. It's this very flexible and dexterous creature that looks closest to a mix between a snake and a centipede. It has a hard, smooth, and very sturdy exoskeleton the color of dirt, a cluster of compound eyes on it's front in a circular indent, (which makes it look kinda headless, or like a tube-) a bunch of mandible-esque limbs around the "face," two sets of centipede-like legs (one facing up, one facing down), two long mouths on its back and belly filled with shark-like teeth, and two centipede-like stingers. And it's the size of a train. Yea. I have a picture of it too! Look:

I'm working on a digital ver but buggy legs are a little hard- These things are burrowers! They make tunnels and are very good at it! They also usually target smaller prey, but will go to larger creatures if they're hungry enough. They live in nests in the tunnels with tons of these guys, and will fight any others who belong to a different nest. They look like a relentless predator, but they will back off when around high-pitched noises or when they get injured.
There's also the mantis guard, the sentient bees, and the parasites, but I don't wanna talk about them rn, so this is all you get. Feel free to ask me questions about my critters! I love them lots and would enjoy answering them :)
