This is exactly the right attitude to have toward gravy.
And most restaurants (and people) who make dishes with gravy don't have NEARLY the right attitude.
One of my favourite bits of linguistic trivia is that in Ancient Greek, the word ἰχώρ (cognate to the modern English "ichor") is attested in extant literature to mean both "the bodily fluid which gods possess instead of blood", and also "gravy", which implies several things about Ancient Greek culinary culture's attitude toward gravy.
#in other words: THERE'S NOT NEARLY ENOUGH GRAVY#EVER#if you don't have enough for me to ABSOLUTELY DROWN my meal AND SECONDS in gravy then you are a FAILURE#there better be enough for that AND LEFTOVERS#otherwise GTFO#NO EXCUSE for the smidge of gravy these restaurants and N00BS keep churning out#amazing gravy doesn't mean you use LESS#you use MORE#all you cooks who settle for a measly single gravy boat have FAILED the BASICS#it's not like it's hard. these are rock bottom principles#do i have a vendetta against LOSERS who won't serve me GRAVY???#no ofc not. <_<#why do you ask. >_>#they can be BROKEN USELESS COOKS if they want to#I'm happy to leave 1-star reviews for INCOMPETENCE#anyway#8)
