anon: But consider the Shiratorizawa team playing Monopoly and the absolute chaos that would ensue bc Tendou would have like 4 hotels in a row
a/n: took a while, but as promised, here’s the next extra for shiratorizawa antics! posted on here for easy reading pleasure.
It was supposed to be a friendly game.
“I said pay up, Eita!” Tendou stated, holding out his open palm to Semi. There was a teasing glint in his eyes as he wiggled his fingers.
The Monopoly board on the table shifted a bit as Semi stood up in his seat to object. The pieces shook and a couple of bills flew off.
“You’re totally making up that rule! I’m not paying you two thousand dollars!” Now, Semi was pointing his finger at Tendou from across the table. Sitting right beside Semi, you took the initiative to try and deescalate the situation.
“Guys, remember it’s just a game... Since Shirabu’s the banker, let’s have him say the final word about the rules,” you suggested in hopes that things would settle down.
Semi shook his head. “There’s no way this rule even exists! This is just Tendou trying to scam me!”
“Well, it’s not my fault you landed on my property. Don’t be a sore loser!”
“I’m not! It clearly says on the card that I only have to pay you a thousand!”
The two continued on with their little dispute about the board game, Tendou shrugging his shoulders every now and then while Semi waved his arms animatedly to get his point across. This entire ordeal was taking the fun out of the game. In the beginning, no one really seemed to care too much about Tendou’s suggestion to play, but after a few rounds, the guys started to get more heated. Only you, Ushijima, Tendou, Semi, and Shirabu were left playing as the other guys went back to their dorms. Now, in this current play-through, Tendou had a plethora of properties, nearly dominating an entire side of the board.
“Read the fine print!” Tendou waved the card in the air and Semi snatched it out of his hand. He squinted his eyes and recoiled in shock once he realized Tendou was right.
Grumbling, Semi slid a pile of Monopoly money towards Tendou. With one final victory laugh, Tendou organized the funds into his piles of cash.
“I think Eita should go to jail for the false accusation!”
“Well, the last game you tricked Tsutomu into giving you five hundred… I’m just being cautious with my money,” Semi replied with a huff, slouching into his seat. His eyes were zeroed in on his small hat piece.
“Kenjirou, c’mon, don’tcha think he should go to jail this round? For tryna defame me?”
Shirabu’s eyes flickered between Semi and Tendou; for a second, he considered his options.
“Yes.”
Semi looked like he was about to lose it. “What?”
“Go to jail, Eita!” Circling his finger around the red space, Tendou hummed happily while wiggling his torso to an unknown beat.
“You’re kidding. This isn’t a real rule!”
“Shirabu is the banker, so he gets the final word,” Ushijima said, picking up the pair of dice for his roll. A look of disbelief was sent his way, but he didn’t seem to notice. In a final attempt, Semi turned to you and grabbed onto your forearm.
“C’mon, just listen to me!” He was literally begging at this point. “You know this isn’t part of the rules!”
“Uh…” For a second you were unsure of what to even say. You didn’t want to cause any type of discord between the group even though you knew Semi was right. Tendou was being too adamant on his side to let this go, meanwhile Semi was in the wrong the first time around. “...Maybe we should play a different game?”
Tendou let out a disgruntled sigh.
“Just because you guys are being sore losers doesn’t mean we should stop!”
“Excuse me?” You narrowed your eyes at Tendou. Yeah, you definitely weren’t winning at the moment, but you sure as hell weren’t sucking as bad as Semi was. “I’m not being a sore loser. At least I don’t have to use cheap tricks to win, Tendou!”
“Cheap tricks? Semi-Semi going to jail isn’t a cheap trick! It was merely a suggestion.”
“Shirabu, you know Semi doesn’t have to go to jail now.” You turned towards him, a fire burning behind your pupils as you stared him down. He avoided eye contact with you and kept his gaze on the little properties scattered about on the board.
“Yeah, it’s not in the rules…”
“Kenjirou!” Tendou was appalled by the betrayal. With a smug look on your face, you tilted your head up slightly as you crossed your arms in front of your chest. Semi did the same next to you.
“Banker’s word is law,” you replied, words containing a staccato like bounce as you spaced out the stacks of money in front of you. Before, you were pretty indifferent about winning, but now? The only thing that mattered to you was completely wiping the floor with Tendou.
Raising an eyebrow, Tendou fixed his posture and then leaned in towards you.
“You’re going down.”

In the end, Ushijima destroyed everyone, leaving you all bankrupt as his properties filled the spaces. Nobody wanted to play another round of Monopoly and instead went their separate ways back to the dorms.
