#I'm glad that Lucky and Stan managed to get out of there all right too though

Thank you for even making that post because I honestly feel like I’m going to explode!! Championing every issue is EXHAUSTING. I have such empathy fatigue. Bombardment of “rules”, behavioral guidelines, services, companies, networks + food brands & PEOPLE to boycott ALL THE TIME. Fandom is space many of us come to unplug from reality…it’s certainly my hyperfixation & ppl be like “well then get another one because you shouldn’t support–” IT DOESN’T WORK LIKE THAT. Fuck. I can’t take it anymore. Calls to action being in EVERY single place have weakened my mental state even more than it was before which was already on “pending disability” level of severe & now I’m just. burned t-absolute-f out….at everything!! I can literally FEEL myself unraveling. Kpop stans & their toxic activism can go to hell. They’re so worried about making sure to condemn others for “not doing enough” or being bad people, that they don’t even realize their actions are making them into bad people. This shit takes a toll on mental health, there is science behind this, it is real and what happens to human beings when inundated with constant terrible news, and it’s not just being ~too privileged to care~ but these performative mfs have no concept of blacklisting anymore and just want to assume the absolute worst about someone, call them names & wish harm on folks who are at the end of their ropes! It’s maddening! So even if compassion fatigue isn’t why you didn’t go out of your way to Denounce and Drag™️ him (bc you totally have the right to simply not want to do that on a fanfic blog!) I’m just glad someone else stated that this is supposed to be an ESCAPE. fuck.
Baby, burnout will fuck you up. Don't do that to yourself. Take the time you need and recoup. Life is a constant war and you can afford to lose a battle here and there to focus on your own health and well-being. Getting yourself back into a good place mentally will be a huge win. We both know the ppl obsessed with performative activism aren't doing anything from a place of compassion. The real ones are out there making change, not sending people death threats online from the comfort and safety of their mommy's basement.
When I posted the pic of NCT Dream and Big Time Rush, I wrote in the tags how BTR was something my sister and I loved and bonded over. We watched the show even though it was obviously a kids show and we were both adults. It was just something that gave us joy. My sister passed away years ago and anything BTR-related will make me teary because I think about how much we laughed together over it.
So the first thing I get are messages over how problematic BTR is, that I should delete the post or I'm pro-genocide if I don't dislike them. Ngl that made me so upset because I got a bunch of faceless people trying to taint some precious memories of me and my sister. If they came at me trying to educate me on things I didn't know that would be different, but it's straight to judgment and hatred toward me over something I posted that was totally innocent.
Meanwhile I get criticized for posting about a kpop group instead of reblogging every call to action post. I donate my money to these causes, but I don't post about it because I don't need my ass kissed for doing what I know to be right. I am 1000% sure the anons in my inbox that try to police me have never given a dime to anything, but are policing people's blogs for not reblogging posts or talking about it more.
I feel bad that I haven't been very active on here this year so I try to come on when I have some free time to interact with you guys. I make a silly post about Doyoung and get anons tearing into me for it like I'm his social media manager. Okay so because the world is going to shit we aren't allowed to enjoy anything?? Can't make jokes about anything. Can't show support for anything. Just wrong on every fucking count.
Believe me I am so goddamn aware of how lucky I am that I can sit here and say I'm very privileged that I live comfortably in the life I have. I know what's going on in the world and I do my part to help where I can, but I also have to keep functioning. I don't want every minute of my life to be seeped in anger, I did that for a long time and it not only eats away at you, it makes you ineffective in actually changing the things making you angry in the first place.
This was just supposed to be a blog where I posted my stories. One of the few places I could go and not constantly be reminded of how fucked up the world is. I've always said that people who told me reading a fic of mine made their day a little better or helped them escape for a bit were always my favorite. That was what I came here for and I loved being able to share the tiniest moments of peace and quiet with others through stories with guaranteed happy endings.
I'm frustrated because I have 4 drafts ready to go next year. I got the story posts done and made all the headers. But I don't want to post them. I have no problem admitting I'm selfish and spiteful. Even though I can turn off anon, I can't block these miserable people and I don't want them reading my stuff. They don't get to consume my content and then tell me to off myself right after.
A massive fuck you to those of you that ruined this blog for me.
#empathy fatigue is real#and the reason these shitheads arent getting tired#is because theyre not doing any of it from empathy

T H R E E - Lois Lane

Y/N was the first to break the silent staring contest the boys all seemed to be having, quickly stepping by her cousin and hurrying over to the boy who was lying in the water with a bloody shirt. "Are you okay?" Y/N asked softly as she knelt down in front of the boy who just stared up at her with wide eyes, surprised that she was talking to him.
"Not. . .not really," the boy admitted and by the slight crack in his voice, Y/N could tell it took all of his willpower not to cry. She didn't blame him for wanting to. Judging by the amount of blood, it looked like whatever injury he had was painful. Not to mention that the events leading up to him getting hurt might've been painful as well.
Footsteps behind her had Y/N turning to see that Stan, Bill, Richie, and Eddie had come over to join her, their eyes on the hurt boy while Eddie grimaced. Y/N looked back at the boy and gave him a kind smile as her eyes flickered over his face.
His dirty blonde hair was matted to his face, slightly covering his brown eyes which stared back at her almost nervously, like he was afraid of what was going to happen or what the group would do to him. He was leaning back slightly as he were afraid they would take a punch and Y/N couldn't help but frown slightly, a sadness flashing through her eyes as she stared at the boy.
No one spoke as Y/N reached out and gently brushed the boy's hair from out of his eyes. The small gesture was enough to make the boy blush as he looked at the girl shyly. Y/N just gave him a gentle smile as she whispered, "We're going to help you, okay?"
The boy stared at her hesitantly for a moment before nodding his head ever so slightly. Y/N's smile was enough to warm the boy's heart as she gently took his hand and helped him on to his feet, turning to the other boys in the process.
To her surprise, they were all staring at her with wide eyes. Stan's was out of pure pride for having someone as sweet and gentle as his cousin. Richie and Eddie were just in shock, having forgotten just how nice and caring the girl in front of them was. Then there was Bill who was staring at her in awe, the corners of his mouth twitching up slightly as his heart skipped a beat.
Y/N didn't seem to notice their expressions and only gave them the smallest of smiles as she said, "Come on, boys. Let's get him out of here."
The four seemed to snap out of their thoughts at that and quickly rushed forward to help Y/N get the boy over to their bikes. With some help they managed to get the boy onto Bill's bike and Y/N made sure that the boy was secure before she looked to Bill, giving him a small thankful smile before she hurried after her cousin to get on his bike.
Bill stared after Y/N for a moment, his mouth hanging open slightly as he watched her get on Stan's bike. From behind him, a small voice whispered out, "She's really kind."
Bill glanced behind him and at the boy who shared his bike and smiled softly as he looked back at Y/N. "Sh-Sh-She sure is," Bill agreed before him and the others began to bike away from the Barrens and towards town, neither of them noticing Patrick Hockstetter, a member of the Bowers gang, stumble into the small river right after they left.
The ride out of the woods was mostly quiet as the group biked towards town. It was only when they had left the woods that Eddie began to ramble and lucky for Stan and Y/N, they were the closest to the boy and got to hear all of it.
"I think it's great that we're helping the new kid, but we also need to think about our own safety. I mean, he's bleeding all over and you guys know there's an AIDS epidemic happening right now as we speak. I mean my mom's friend in New York City got it juist by touching a dirty pole in the subway and she got AIDS blood into her system through a hangnail," Eddie said as he glanced over at Y/N and Stan, the girl staring back at him intently while she leaned her head against her cousin's back.
"A hangnail?" Y/N questioned, knowing that the best way to handle Eddie's rambling was to go along with it.
Besides, she knew he secretly liked it when someone actually seemed to enjoy when he talked and it was obvious that still applied by the way he smiled ever so slightly before exclaiming, "A hangnail!"
Stan let out a soft sigh and glanced at his friend before looking back ahead as he followed after Bill and Richie, Eddie right beside him.
"And-and they can amputate legs and arms. But. . .but how do you amputate a wai-? How do you amputate a waist?" Eddie asked, his eyes wide as he realized that the boy they found was going to die because they didn't know how to amputate a waist.
"Eddie," Y/N said softly, her voice causing the boy to look over at her while he nervously bit his lip. "It's going to be okay. We're not going to have to amputate his waist and the boy is going to be just fine."
"But how do you-?" Eddie began to ask.
"Just trust me," she said as her eyes flickered over Eddie's face. "You trust me, right?"
For a moment Eddie was brought back to when the two were six. He had just fallen and scraped his knee on some gravel and since they were too far away from his house to get his mother, Y/N had been the one to bandage him up with the things in his fanny pack as she softly hummed to him, her humming being enough to calm the crying boy down while he stared at her with wide eyes.
Being six years old, Eddie had thought his scraped knee was going to be the end of the world. But Y/N had been the one to calm him down. She had even the one to assure him that he was going to be okay and for the first time Eddie had believed her. It wlas that day that their friendship began to form and by the end of that summer, the two were like brother and sister.
Even after five years of not seeing her, Eddie still saw her as such and knew that his trust in her would never waiver.
"I trust you," Eddie agreed, his eyes staring directly at Y/N while Stan looked back at the two with a soft smile. It always had made Stan happy to see his friends get along so well with his cousin.
Y/N gave the boy a small smile before looking ahead as the group turned their bikes down an alley next to the pharmacy they needed to go to.
"You know that there are alleys full of AIDS infected needles, right?" Eddie spoke up, his tone still coming out nervous but not as much now that he had talked to Y/N. "You guys do know that?"
The group came to a stop and Y/N was quick to hop off Stan's bike and head over to Bill, the two helping the boy get off before sitting him down on top of a box. Y/N and Bill both knelt down in front of the boy and silently checked to make sure he was alright before Y/N whispered, "I'm Y/N by the way. This is Bill."
Bill nodded at the boy in greeting while the boy looked up at them for a minute before nodding. "Yeah, I-I know Bill. We. . .we had a class together," the boy said, not noticing the way a flicker of confusion flashed through Bill's eyes. "We never talked though, so I doubt you know me. I. . .I'm Ben."
Y/N smiled softly at the boy as she reached out to squeeze his hand. "Well, Ben, you're going to be just fine, okay? We're going to go get you some things to clean you up and then you'll be good as new in no time," she said, the optimism in her voice being enough to make Ben calm down slightly.
"Thank you," Ben whispered making Y/N smile widely.
"It's no problem," she assured him as she stood up, Bill following suit.
Bill looked at his friends as he began to back up. "Alright, s-s-so, Richie, wait here. Come on," he said before him and Y/N took off towards the pharmacy, Stan and Eddie right behind them.
Richie frowned as his friends left before looking down at Ben who was holding onto his stomach in pain, "Glad I got to meet you before you died." Ben glanced up at Richie before the two looked away, an awkward silence falling upon them.
At that time, the others managed to reach the pharmacy door and were quick to head in before Eddie led them straight to the aisle that held all sorts of bandages, gauze, ointments and more than necessary supplies than they would need.
Eddie on the other hand seemed to think they needed everything he could possibly grab and went down the aisle before grabbing so much that he could barely hold it all.
Bill and Y/N watched the boy silently while Stan counted the money that they had. "Can we afford all that?" Bill finally asked, knowing that all of the things Eddie was grabbing had to cost a lot.
Stan frowned before showing the three the little money that they had and from what Y/N could see, it really wasn't that much. A couple of dollars perhaps?
"It's all we got," Stan muttered while Eddie turned to look at the money with wide eyes.
"You kidding me?" Eddie asked, his voice soft as another wave of nervousness washed over him. The others all sighed while Stan stuffed the money into his pocket, each of them trying to think of what to do next.
"Wait, you have an account here don't you?" Bill asked, his eyes landing on Eddie while the Uris cousins looked to the young boy.
"If my mom finds out I bought all this stuff for myself, I'll spend the whole rest of the week in the emergency room getting x-rayed," Eddie told them, each of them letting out a sigh as they realized they wouldn't be able to use the boy's account.
It was at that moment that someone else entered the aisle and the four were quick to look at the newcomer, some of the items in Eddie's hands falling onto the ground in the process.
There at the end of the aisle stood a girl with long red hair tied back in a ponytail. Her startling blue eyes stared at the four and Y/N couldn't help but think the girl was extremely pretty. Her freckled face and flawless features being something Y/N would die to have herself.
The girl seemed to be startled as she stared at the four, quickly hiding something behind her back and by the looks of it, Y/N knew exactly what it was. Y/N let her eyes flicker to Bill, Stan, and Eddie and by the startled looks that seemed to be on their faces as well, the four obviously knew each other.
Y/N shook her head slightly at the four before looking at the girl and asking softly, "You okay?"
"I'm fine," the girl insisted a little harshly before she winced at her own words. "What's wrong with you?"
Stan frowned, not liking the tone the girl used with his cousin before saying, "None of your business."
"Stanley," Y/N scolded as she looked back at her cousin, but all Stan did was give her a confused and annoyed look in response.
"There's a kid outside, looks like someone killed him," Eddie suddenly said, Stan and Y/N both giving the boy an incredulous look.
Knowing that there was no way around it, Bill spoke up and said, "We need some s-s-s-supplies, but we don't have enough money."
The girl's eyes flickered over the four before she gave them a small nod. "Okay then. You guys be ready to run when I tell you," the girl told them before she began to walk down the aisle.
The four blinked in surprise before Eddie scrunched up his nose and asked, "Wait, what?"
The girl ignored him and only looked over the group before stopping on Y/N. "Do you mind helping me out?" the girl asked.
"Uh. . .sure?" Y/N said, still unsure what was happening but stepping forward to follow the girl towards the counter.
"Woah. Woah. Woah. Wait," Stan began, but Y/N was quick to stop him from stepping forward.
"It's okay, Stanley. I'll be right out there in a minute, okay?" Y/N assured him.
Stan was silent as he stared at the girl before finally allowing his gaze to fall on his cousin. He nodded a little reluctantly and Y/N gave him a small smile before beginning to follow the girl down the aisle while the boys watched after them.
"I'm Beverly Marsh by the way," the red head introduced herself as she glanced at Y/N.
"Y/N," she said as she reached out and shook the girl's hand. "Y/N Uris."
"Uris?" Beverly questioned before it seemed to click. "Oh. So you and Stan are related?"
"Yes. We're cousins actually. I'm just visiting for the summer," Y/N explained.
"That makes sense why I've never seen you at school before," Beverly hummed before the two finally began to approach the counter.
"So what's the plan?" Y/N asked, curious as to what the girl had in store for them.
Beverly just sent the girl a small smile and winked before saying, "Just follow my lead." Y/N didn't have time to question her before Beverly had gently grabbed onto her wrist and pulled her up to the counter.
Y/N didn't quite understand what was going on and glanced back at her cousin and new friends. They gave her a confused look and she merely shrugged, not knowing what was going on.
"I like your glasses, Mr. Keene," Beverly suddenly said causing Y/N to snap her attention back to what was going on. Her eyes flickered over to the pharmacist with the glasses and gave Beverly a side glance. "You look just like Clark Kent."
The man let out a small laugh and adjusted his glasses as he looked down shyly. "Oh, I don't know about that," Mr. Keene said.
"Can I try them?" Beverly questioned as she tried to put as much curiosity into her tone as she could. It was then that everything seemed to click in place for Y/N and she silently chuckled to herself as she realized what was going on.
Mr. K was silent for a moment but nodded, "Mmm. Sure." He then took his glasses off before handing them over to Beverly who chuckled and put them on.
Beverly glanced over at Y/N and sent her a smile. "What do you think?" she asked.
"You look just like Lois Lane! Doesn't she look like Lois Lane, Mr. Keene?" Y/N questioned as she played along and pointed to the girl with a smile.
Mr. Keene smiled softly before saying, "Well, how about that? She does look like Lois Lane."
"Really?" Beverly asked with a small childish laugh that made Y/N want to chuckle at how fake it actually was. Mr. Keene didn't seem to notice as he just nodded and hummed in response.
Beverly took the glasses off, making sure to keep the smile on her face. "Well, here you go," she said as she went to hand them back, but she 'accidentally' hit several packs of Carolina menthol off the counter and onto the floor. "Shoot. I'm so sorry."
"It's okay," Mr. Keene assured them as he put his glasses back on and bent down to pick the containers up off the ground.
Once he was out of view, Beverly and Y/N looked over their shoulders and made eye contact with the boys. Beverly gave them a small nod and Eddie, Bill, and Stan were quick to rush down the aisle.
Eddie ended up bumping into a display, but Bill was quick to grab the boy before they followed Stan out the front door. Y/N chuckled softly to herself and turned back around as Beverly stuffed a pack of cigarettes in her pocket.
The two girls glanced at each other before smiling softly and giving each other a fist bump. Y/N could already tell this was going to be a beautiful start to a new friendship.

"Just suck the wound," Richie muttered impatiently as he looked to Eddie who was busy trying to fix Ben up. Ben glanced up at Richie before looking back down at Eddie who frowned as he pressed some gauze against Ben's stomach.
"I need to focus right now," Eddie said, biting his tongue in an attempt to stop himself from yelling at Richie who was currently annoying him. Eddie knew Richie was merely bored, but that didn't stop his actions from being any less annoying.
"You need to focus?" Richie asked, his nose scrunching up as if he couldn't believe what the boy was saying.
Eddie ignored the questioning tone in his friend's voice and said, "Yeah, can you go get me something? Jesus."
"Oh, what do you need?" Richie asked and for a second Eddie swore the boy sounded as if he actually wanted to help.
"Go get my bifocals, they're in my second fanny pack," Eddie instructed,
"Why do you have two fanny packs?" Stan asked confused, while him and Richie shared a look.
"I need to focus right now and it's a long story," Eddie muttered as he pressed the gauze against Ben's stomach a little harder, Ben wincing in response.
"I don't want to hear it," Richie assured him earning a glare from his friend.
Bill shook his head at his friends in slight amusement before biting his lip nervously as he realized Y/N had yet to return. He knew she was fine, but that couldn't stop him from walking out of the alley to look in the direction of the pharmacy, hoping to see her and know that she was okay.
It was at that exact moment that the door to the pharmacy opened up and it was almost like everything went in slow motion for Bill, his eyes locking on Y/N and his mouth dropping open slightly as he watched her walk out.
He swore he had never seen someone as beautiful as Y/N Uris in his life. Even all the celebrity crushes he had would never match up to the young girl in his eyes and he knew he would never forget a face like hers for as long as he lived.
Her h/c hair seemed to shine in the sunlight as she walked out, her braid still being perfectly in tact with a few stray hairs poking out here and there that weren't really noticeable. Her skin was glowing, almost making her even brighter in Bill's eyes and making it hard for him to focus on anything else.
Then there was that smile of hers, the one that seemed to reach her eyes and make them crinkle on the sides. That kind of smile that only belonged to Y/N Uris and that made Bill's heart skip a beat. It was that special smile of hers that Bill knew shamed the sun.
He barely even registered Beverly walking out beside her, the two girls beginning to make their way down the sidewalk before Y/N turned her head and caught sight of Bill. The sight of her eyes was enough to leave him breathless. It was like her eyes held their own vocabulary that Bill desperately wanted to learn and each time he saw them he was met with a new word he had never heard of.
He hadn't felt this way since he last saw Y/N five years prior and that was when Bill knew that he was completely done for. For his feelings for her had never gone away, only been tucked away until the day when she came back and they could flourish once again.
It was a crush he assured himself. Nothing but a crush.
Y/N's smile being directed towards him was the only thing that seemed to snap him out of his thoughts, the two girls stopping in front of the boy while Bill desperately blinked in an attempt to snap himself out of it.
The only thing Bill could think to do was turn his attention to Beverly, the red head already giving him a calculating look as her eyes flickered between Bill and Y/N. Bill didn't give her time to think much longer before he began to reach in his pocket, pulling out a lonely dollar bill.
"Uhmm, th-th-thanks," Bill muttered as he held the dollar out.
Beverly seemed to realize what he was doing, but didn't question it as she held up her pack of cigarettes and smiled. "Even Steven," she assured him with a wink.
"Oh god, he's bleeding," Stan's panicking voice rang out from the alley, causing the three to glance that way.
Beverly's eyes widened slightly before a look of confusion flashed across her face. "Ben from Soc?" she whispered before beginning to make her way down the alley and towards Ben who was surrounded by Eddie, Richie, and Stan.
That left Y/N and Bill standing there on the sidewalk. Y/N turned to look at Bill at the same time as the boy and she smiled softly while Bill looked to the ground bashfully.
"Th-Th-That was really cool. . ." Bill whispered. "What you d-d-did back there."
Y/N tilted her head slightly as she looked at the boy and shrugged. "It was all Beverly's idea. I was just kind of there. I didn't do much," Y/N told him.
"I wasn't t-t-talking about that," Bill said, his eyes flickering up to look at the girl. "I was talking about the b-b-barrens and how you helped Ben. That was r-r-really cool."
Y/N blinked in surprise, her cheeks growing a tinge pink at the fact that Bill was telling her that her helping Ben was 'cool.' Really cool, nonetheless.
"Oh, I would've done the same for anyone," Y/N shrugged it off like it was no big deal.
"I-I-I know," Bill smiled at the girl, his gaze on her soft and gentle enough to make her smile widen slightly.
"Thanks," she whispered and Bill smiled shyly at the girl and bowed his head before nodding towards the others.
"We should-" he began, but Y/N quickly took the hint and nodded her head before the two began to walk down the alley together side by side, only coming to a stop behind Beverly who was watching the boys in silence.
"Are you okay?" Beverly finally spoke up, her worried eyes locked on Ben. "That looks like it hurts."
Ben glanced over at the girl and his eyes widened before he quickly dropped his shirt and sat up, Eddie backing up slightly once he couldn't see the wound anymore. "No, I'm good. I just fell," Ben assured the red head, wanting to seem strong and brave for her.
"Yeah, right into Henry Bowers," Richie muttered, his eyes narrowing at Beverly almost accusingly.
"Shut it, R-R-Richie!" Bill hissed at his friend causing both Beverly and Y/N to look at the boy confused. Y/N didn't quite understand what the big deal was. Why did they not want to tell Beverly what had happened?
"Why? It's the truth," Richie persisted while Ben looked down at the ground almost sadly.
Beverly's gaze fell on the hurt boy once again before she asked in a teasing way, "You sure they got 'the right stuff' to fix you up?" Ben looked up at Beverly and the two shared a small smile that made Y/N look between them suspiciously, wondering what the two were talking about.
"You know w-w-w-w-we'll take care of him," Bill interrupted, the red head looking away from Ben and over at Bill. "Thanks again, Beverly."
Beverly nodded slightly, "Sure, maybe I'll see you around."
"Yeah, we were maybe thinking about going to the q-q-q-quarry tomorrow, if you wanna. . ." Bill muttered, his eyes flickering over his friends who were all looking at him surprised. "Come?"
Y/N locked eyes with Richie and mouthed, "Since when were we going to the quarry?" Richie merely shrugged in response.
Y/N glanced back over at Bill, a small frown appearing on her face as she realized he had made it up on the spot so that Beverly could hang out with them more. It's not that she had anything against Beverly because she didn't, but something about knowing Bill had been the one to suggest her hanging out with them more made Y/N feel weird.
"Good to know," Beverly said as she nodded. "Thanks." She then turned and began to walk away, but not before waving goodbye to the boys and Y/N.
"Bye, Beverly," Y/N called out, waving at the girl and giving her a small smile despite what had just happened.
"Bye, Y/N. It was nice meeting you," Beverly aid before she smiled at the girl and disappeared around the corner.
Y/N stared at the alley for a moment longer before turning around, her eyes instantly locking with Bill who was staring at her. She was quick to look away, the action making Bill's eyebrows furrow in confusion and his happy expression dropped slightly.
"Nice going," Stan muttered causing them to all look at the boy who was glaring at Richie, "bringing up Bowers in front of her."
"Yeah, did you hear what she did?" Eddie asked making Y/N furrow her eyebrows in confusion as she walked over to her cousin. She stopped by Stan's side and the boy glanced at her, sighing in relief slightly at the sight of her.
"What'd she do?" Ben and Y/N both asked, their eyes locking for a moment before they looked to the others for an explanation.
"More like who'd she do?" Richie corrected them. "From what I hear, the list is longer than my wang."
Stan rolled his eyes before muttering, "That's not saying much."
Y/N's eyes widened in surprised before she quickly put a hand over her mouth to stop herself from laughing out loud. Richie glared at Stan and Y/N was quick to hide her face in her cousin's arm as she chuckled softly, not noticing Stan's smile as he realized he had just made his cousin laugh.
"They're j-j-just rumors," Bill assured the group while Richie rolled his eyes.
"Anyway, Bill had her back in third grade," Richie explained, this making both Ben and Y/N look to the boy. "They kissed in the school play. The reviews said that you can't fake that kind of passion!"
Y/N's lips twitched downward ever so slightly, but she was quick to hide it, already used to having to hide how she really feels due to everything going on with at home.
Richie clapped his hands together to gain everyone's attention once again. "Now, pip pip and tally-ho, my good fellows, I do believe this chap requires our utmost attention. Now get in there Dr. K! Come on, fix him up!" Richie exclaimed in a Bristish accent as he gently shoved the boy towards Ben.
Eddie frowned and bent down in front of Ben as he glared at Richie. "Why don't you shut the fuck up, Einstein, because I know what I'm doing and I don't want you doing the British guy routine right now," Eddie muttered.
Richie just ignored him and continued on with his British accent, "Suck the wound. Get in there."
The usual banter between the two was enough to make Y/N smile softly, but no one except for Bill seemed to realize that it didn't quite reach her eyes like normal. Y/N ignored Bill's questioning gaze and instead leaned against her cousin as they watched Eddie fix Ben up.
Maybe their first day of summer hadn't been what they had been hoping for, but with her new friends and her cousin by her side, Y/N knew it could only get better from there.
Right?

Lucky!Ford Chapter 5
Here’s the last chapter for this guy for a while. Heh heh; I had fun working with this one.
And @howtotrainyournana (and recently @impishnature) know some of why that is. There are a couple characters who pop in from another dimension and come over into this one...and they mention a character who belongs to Nana, but that character doesn’t actually make an appearance. Let’s see what you guys think of these little inter dimensional visitors, eh?
Just so you know, if I write anything more for Lucky, it’s probably gonna be one-shots of future shenanigans he gets himself into -- and his luck gets him out of!
Unexpected Visitors
It turned out that Ford’s “safe trail” wasn’t actually as safe as it had been thirty years ago.
Ford dove into the underbrush, leaving Stan yelling curses behind him as he was dragged into the open clearing they had arrived at.
One of the three figures that had suddenly appeared in their path hit Stan over the head -- a pig-like creature with leather skin and thin, sharp spikes jutting out along his spine. “Shut it.”
Stan collapsed to the ground; Ford’s hand instantly went to the gun at his belt, and he gritted his teeth. Bounty hunters. How they had managed to reach his dimension and disturb the peace, he wasn’t entirely sure and he didn’t want to find out, because that question would lead to him being captured and being taken away from the home that he had fought so hard to reach.
“That one’s got five fingers,” said the stick-thin, green humanoid figure with pointed ears. “You grabbed the wrong one! We want the six-fingered one, not this oaf.” He kicked Stan, who rolled over and let out a groan, still stunned from the whack to the head.
“Use him as bait,” said the third figure -- a portly, scaly lizard humanoid who was anything but fat, if Ford’s experience was anything to go by. “They must be related, if you look at their faces. Humans look even more alike when they are.”
Ford gritted his teeth even more tightly. He had to do something, but his gun didn’t have very many shots left, and they wouldn’t be able to do much against two of the three hunters.
Of course my luck has decided to run out.
A hand came down on Ford’s left shoulder, and he stiffened and whirled, pulling out his weapon. He froze when his eyes locked with the figure who had come up behind him. “What in--”
“Shh.” The red-gold, fox-like ears on top of the other’s head twitched and swiveled, tracking the sounds from the clearing and the forest itself. “I’m here to help.”
The last person Ford had been expecting to hear that from was himself.
“Help?” he hissed. “How do you expect to help?”
“A distraction.” The other Ford’s seven red-gold tails twitched in a way that made Ford think of a nervous, cornered animal. “Wait here; we’ll take care of the rest.”
“What are you--”
His counterpart dashed out of the underbrush before Ford could say another word. “Leave him be!”
The bounty hunters looked up from Stan’s form sharply.
“Cipher’s runaway pet!” crowed the lizard. “That’s a double score! Get him!”
Ford felt a chill run down his spine. Cipher’s runaway--
His counterpart held a hand back behind him as the bounty hunters ran towards him. A fireball materialized in his open palm, and he threw it at the bounty hunters -- who dodged it -- before bolting into a different part of the forest. “Maria, now!”
Another figure came out of the forest as Ford’s counterpart disappeared: a young woman in red, orange, and gray armor, and a frown on her face that made her seem older.
“Wait!” The pig started flailing, trying to stop. “That’s--”
The young woman flicked her wrists, and a flat disk of blue energy appeared under the three aliens. Ford’s eyes widened sharply as the three dropped into it with yelps of surprise, the disk winking out of existence a moment later.
The woman relaxed, her frown shifting into a wide grin. “Got ‘em, Sixer!”
Ford’s counterpart came out of the trees, looking relieved. “Lower-level bounty hunters; obviously, they’re still running around despite the fact that we’ve cut off the head.” He looked over at where Ford was and motioned with his head to come out of hiding.
Ford hesitated, then stepped out from the trees, gun still in hand and the two newcomers kept in his line of vision as he moved over to where Stan lay on the ground. “Stan, are you all right?”
Stan groaned, then rolled over and started to sit up. “Ugh. What the he--eeeck was that? They looked like something out of a B-rated horror movie.”
“You can swear in front of me, Stan, I’ve grown used to it,” the woman called over -- right; Ford’s counterpart had called her Maria.
Stan muttered something as Ford dropped his gun near him and grabbed his brother’s head to give it a look over. “H-hey! Watch it!”
“Hold still; you might have a concussion,” Ford replied shortly as his counterpart and Maria came closer. He eyed them as they came to a stop, then looked back at Stan and looked him in the eyes. “...it doesn’t look bad; some aspirin and you should be fine.”
Stan grunted and pulled his head back. “I could’a told you that, Poindexter.” He looked over at the other two and blinked. “Am I seein’ double or…?”
“I’m actually physically here, yes,” Ford’s counterpart replied. “I’m a dimensional double of your brother, to put it simply; others call me either Kitsune or Sixer.”
“Would’a thought they’d’ve called ya Seven or somethin’.” Stan frowned at the seven tails behind Kitsune, which twitched in response to Stan’s comment.
“He had six when I met him,” Maria explained. “One of his tails split two years later.”
“It what?”
“Is this natural or is this something else?” Ford asked sharply.
Kitsune’s tails stilled at the question, falling limp behind him; his ears flicked back. “...Something else.”
“If you’re worried about Sixer, you really shouldn’t be; the Cipher that did that to him isn’t around to cause anymore trouble.” Maria folded her hands behind her back and rocked on her heels, a knowing smirk crossing her face.
Ford’s eyes widened sharply.
“What are you talking about?!” Stan demanded. “Yer leavin’ me out of the conversation here! Who is this Cipher guy you’re talking about?!”
Maria and Kitsune stared at Stan, then looked over at Ford.
“You haven’t had Weirdmageddon?” Kitsune asked in confusion. “Or has Stan not recovered all of his memories yet?”
“What are you talkin’ about? I haven’t forgotten anything!” Stan snapped back.
“Weirdmageddon?” Ford repeated in confusion. He blinked, and his eyes widened as he connected together the information he was hearing. “You mean that’s what would have happened if I had come back through my portal and Bill had gotten his hands on the Rift--”
“Yes,” Kitsune replied flatly.
“Who’s Bill?” Stan grumbled.
“His full name is Bill Cipher,” Maria replied. “He’s...simply put, he’s a demon who has an odd attraction to Fords across dimensions. Your brother’s lucky that he managed to get back here without opening a rift -- speaking of which, how did you get back?” She looked at Ford with a raised eyebrow.
“A young man named Joshua did the exact same thing for me that you did to those bounty hunters.” Ford motioned to where the bounty hunters had been a moment ago. He was a little confused as to how the girl knew anything about Bill Cipher and was willing to speak freely about him and not attempt to arrest them.
Maria blinked, then a smirk crossed her face and she snorted. “Joshua is neither young nor human, and neither am I.” She rapped her right hand against her chest.
Clang clang.
Ford stiffened at the metallic noise; Stan’s eyes widened.
“I’m surprised that he managed to get you here without Cipher getting involved, though.” Maria frowned, lowering her hand. “I’ve tried that before -- he always blocks the natural pathways off; that’s why your rift maker is usually the only thing that works. Why wouldn’t he get involved this time….” Her frown deepened, and she tapped again against her chin thoughtfully.
“I think I know what happened.”
Maria, Stan, and Ford looked over at Kitsune.
“Enlighten me,” Ford said dryly.
“There is someone that we have made the acquaintance of a year after I met Maria,” Kitsune said carefully. “A being who is a fury goddess who has had interactions with the Mas -- w-with Cipher.”
Maria looked up at him with a worried expression as Ford’s eyes widened sharply. Maria slipped her hand in his and squeezed it, which seemed to ground Kitsune.
Kitsune closed his eyes and took in a breath for a moment, then opened his eyes again. “She was in a relationship with him previously, but after he stole part of her power from her, she went on a sort of revenge quest against any and all versions of Cipher. Which leads me to believe that she has already found your iteration of him and has destroyed him utterly.”
“Huh.” Stan blinked. “Well that was nice of her.”
“Did you just almost call Cipher Master?” Ford demanded harshly. Even more connections were starting to come together -- especially considering what the bounty hunters had called Kitsune.
Kitsune winced and pulled back a little, but not very far because of Maria’s grip on her hand. “I-I was not--”
“Sixer.” Maria looked at him with concern, then looked back at Ford. “You didn’t know about that either, huh.”
“Know about what?” Ford hissed. “That the bounty hunters referred to him as Cipher’s runaway pet? Because that and what he nearly said are all that I am going on and I would love to know why.”
Kitsune’s ears flicked back as he shuddered. “I lost. That’s the simplest answer.”
Ford stiffened at Kitsune’s statement, eyes widening. “You what?” That was not the answer that he had been expecting from his counterpart. He rose to his feet, staring at Kitsune. “But...but the Quantum Destabilizer -- Our -- my plan to--”
“I missed.” Kitsune wasn’t looking at any of them. “The Zodiac could have worked, should have worked, but Stanley and I got into an argument and Cipher took that to his advantage.” He took in a shaky breath. “The appearance I have now is a result of that; the reason that I nearly called him that is a result of that. And he did this not only to me; he did it to the rest of us as well.”
“No….”
Kitsune nodded glumly. “The four of us were changed and forced into service. We were saved from that some time ago, but...our dimension….” He shook his head again. “We were able to save the people in Gravity Falls, but no one else.”
Ford stared at his counterpart as Kitsune’s statement sank in, Stan also looking at him with a murderous expression at the mere idea that Dipper and Mabel could have possibly been pulled into this. Ford hadn’t thought that it would have been possible for any one of his counterparts to lose against Bill, to lose with not only the one weapon that they planned to use against Bill directly in the Nightmare Realm, but also with the possible backup they had if he ever happened to enter their respective worlds -- much less if they ever managed to find all the parts of the Zodiac, which was apparently possible but not something that Ford was entirely willing to put stock in.
Especially since it was apparent that Cipher was no longer going to be attempting to make his way into his dimension.
“So, wait.” Stan pushed himself up to his feet, swayed for a moment, then managed to keep his balance. “Yer sayin’ that there are some places where yer entire dimension fell ta pieces?”
“Unfortunately, yes,” Kitsune replied. “I’m at fault for that as much as the Ciphers, considering what I was used for. Those bounty hunters you saw were no doubt planning on reporting in to some Cipher with your brother so they could utilize the network that I left behind. Maria and I have been working to tear it apart, but...it’s been difficult, considering how large the mess I left behind is.” He sighed and shook his head.
Ford stared at his counterpart, his mind whirring as he put the pieces together -- what his counterpart was saying, what it was that he wasn’t, what it possibly meant for his other counterparts--
“How many?” Ford asked finally.
“I’m not sure of the exact number.” Kitsune shrugged a little.
“I’m sure Agnostic might know,” Maria commented, thoughtful. “He doesn’t like to think back on what happened, though.”
“Who?” Stan frowned. “Another Ford?”
“Yeah.” Maria looked over at Ford. “One who got brainwashed pretty severely. He’s one of the few that we’ve managed to rescue from Cipher’s clutches.”
Kitsune shuddered. “And I’m glad we got to him first. I don’t know what things would look like if Bishop was still--” He shook his head.
Ford flinched back. He’d heard of Bishop, of his religious fantasies and how easily words flowed from him that could make you consider changing sides. If he was going by Agnostic now --
Well.
“What, was he some kinda demon-worshipping -- “ Stan stopped short when Kitsune nodded. “Holy Moses.”
“He’s just the tip of the iceberg,” Maria said. “There are versions of you running around doing his bidding too, Stan.”
“Me?” Stan snorted. “Like that Cipher guy would want anythin’ ta do with me. I don’t got the brains that Ford has.”
“But you have the skills to see through his attempts at making deals,” Maria replied. “It takes a con to outcon a con, and you have the reputation of being the best at that out of the entire multiverse.”
Stan straightened himself up at that, puffing out his chest as Ford rolled his eyes.
“That can’t be it,” Ford said, frowning.
“Considering that Stans have been rather consistent throughout the multiverse as being the one to trick Cipher in a final deal? I’d say that Maria’s actually right,” Kitsune replied.
Ford stared at his counterpart in disbelief. “You...you’re backing her up?”
Kitsune shrugged. “The dimension I now call home has nine other versions of me and eight versions of everyone else in our family. I’ve grown to know and appreciate the quirks everyone has.” He smiled a little. “It gets to be rather entertaining when my brother and his counterparts attempt to out-con each other, especially after a few drinks.”
Maria snickered. Ford stared with an incredulous expression. His counterpart could not have been serious.
“That’s a crowded house,” Stan commented. He swayed a little, then righted himself. “Speakin’ of which, we should probably get back to the Shack. I don’t want to leave that place in the kids’ hands for too long.” He started to take a few steps forward, then stumbled and started to fall over, only to get caught by Kitsune before he could hit the ground.
“We’ll stay in this dimension long enough to get you back, at least,” Kitsune said. “Then we should probably get moving ourselves.” He looked over at Maria, who hesitated for a moment before nodding in agreement.
“I’ll be fine, you.” Stan righted himself again. “You go on an’ keep huntin’ down those guys who are goin’ after my brother. If any more of ‘em show up again here, we’ll be ready fer ‘em next time.”
Kitsune hesitated, unsure. “Being out in the forest with you as you are could be--”
“Grunkle Stan!”
“Great-Uncle Ford!”
The group of four turned their heads as Dipper and Mabel suddenly crashed through the underbrush and grabbed their grunkles in tight hugs.
“What are you two doing out here?” Stan demanded, looking down at Mabel. “I thought I told you kids to stay back and watch the Shack!”
“We saw these monsters come out of a portal!” Mabel looked up. “They were talking about taking Grunkle Ford away!”
“W-we gotta get back to the Shack before that mean pig-thing finds you,” Dipper added. He started tugging Ford back the way they had come.
“We’re already taken care of them, Dipper,” Kitsune spoke up. “You don’t need to worry about them finding your grunkles, I can assure you.”
Dipper and Mabel stared at Kitsune and Maria with wide eyes; Maria started giggling at their expressions.
“U-Uh….” Dipper looked between Ford and Kitsune. “What’s--”
“Ohmygoshyouhavetails!” Mabel let Stan go and moved closer to Kitsune’s seven tails. “They look so soft! Can I--”
Kitsune chuckled as one of his tails moved a little closer to Mabel. She instantly buried her fingers in his red-gold fur and gasped.
“Dipper, come over and feel this! It’s like a cloud or something!”
Dipper came over, frowning, but curious. “Mabel, clouds are water vapor, they can’t exactly be--” He stopped when he put his hand in Kitsune’s fur. “Whoa; that is soft.”
A low rumbling noise came from Kitsune; Ford was startled to find he could identify it as purring.
Mabel gave a delighted squeal. “Ohmygosh! You sound like my cat when he’s on catnip!”
The purring puttered to a halt as Kitsune looked down at Mabel with an unsure expression.
Stan and Maria laughed at the look on his face as Ford’s mouth quirked up in a slight smile. Another thought popped into his head then, and the smile faded.
“Who were you before?”
Kitsune looked over at Ford at the question while Dipper and Mabel exchanged confused looks. “You mean….”
Ford nodded. “Yes; before...all that.” He eyed the flicking ears on top of Kitsune’s head.
Kitsune frowned, then sighed and shook his head. “It’s...difficult, to remember before. I’ve spent well over six centuries like this; my memory-keeping abilities may be sharper now, but...some things still fade. One or two memories stand out among the mess, but not many. And...not very many good ones.”
Maria looked up at him with a concerned expression, biting her lower lip. Ford got the impression that she had heard him say something similar before.
“Why do you ask?” Kitsune looked at Ford with a slightly-cocked head, almost like an animal that had spotted something curious.
Ford paused. “I wanted to know if -- since you ran in...similar circles, for a time -- if you knew of a mercenary known as Fish.”
Maria’s brow furrowed, and she closed one eye as Kitsune’s left ear twitched.
“Fish? I don’t-- Oh. Oh, you mean Pirana.” Kitsune nodded a little. “I heard of him, but I never met him myself. Considering he hunts us down for sport, it was more than likely that he would have killed me on sight, so we were kept out of each other’s way.” He paused. “Although, now, there’s no doubt that he’s coming after me.”
“Ho-ly scrap,” Maria squeaked as she opened her eye again. “Holy scrap I do not think I’d do much against him.”
“Interdimensional database?” Ford guessed, not sure how the World Jumper would have been able to gain such an expression so fast.
“Tumblr,” Maria replied flatly. “Any alternate universe that exists, there’s a chance there’s something for it on Tumblr.”
“Considering that you’ve heard of him, you must have had times where he passed you by for another--”
“I’ve had him chase me five times.” Ford’s interruption caused Kitsune’s eyes to widen sharply. “Joshua saved my life the fifth time.”
“...you must be quite lucky, then,” Kitsune said.
“How bad is this Fish guy?” Stan asked.
“He’d kill the entire town without a second thought, so long as he could get to your brother -- and then he’d kill him, too.” The grim tone in Kitsune’s voice caused Stan to stiffen. “He is not someone that people can stand toe-to-toe against -- not unless you can appeal to his sense of humanity, somehow, but the chance of that is silmmer than Cipher when he’s looked at from the side.”
“Who?” Dipper asked in confusion.
“No one you have to worry about,” Maria replied quickly.
“And to hear that you’ve gotten away from him five times, I can’t say I--” Kitsune stopped short. “Wait. Lucky.” His eyes widened slowly. “That’s you, isn’t it? The luckiest of us?”
“...so I’ve been told,” Ford replied carefully as Maria and his family stared at him with wide eyes. “But that was only once, from Jheselbraum -- how do you know about--”
“I think I was the one who gave you that moniker.” An excited smile started to spread across Kitsune’s face. “You remember -- in the marketplace? Your translator wasn’t working but you knew enough of the language to barter with one of the shopkeepers for--”
“A part of the Quantum Destabilizer while barely keeping in his good graces, yes.” That was a memory that stuck out in Ford’s mind clear as day. It had been early on in his journey across the Multiverse, when he had still been getting his bearings and trying to figure out how in the world he was going to survive with Bill constantly on his tail. A figure with salt-and-pepper hair and a covered face had found him after a nearly-botched trade with a tradesman and had offered to repair his translator and give him a little advice.
“Well, Lucky, I’m surprised you managed to get away from him without losing a finger!”
“That was you?” Ford stared at Kitsune.
Maria was looking back and forth between the two of them with a wide-eyed expression, a grin crossing her face as Kitsune nodded.
“Yes; it was!” Kitsune laughed. “It must have been...oh, five years before I’d managed to gather all the parts I needed. I’m glad you managed to return home safely after that, and with a surprising turn of your luck then, as well. Your luck should certainly hold now.” He looked at Maria. “I think we’ll be all right leaving them as they are.”
Maria laughed. “All right.” She looked at Dipper, Mabel, Stan, and Ford in turn and gave them a thumbs-up. “I’m glad you guys don’t have to go through what your counterparts did in other dimensions. Hopefully Gideon Gleeful will get a swift kick to the pants some other way.” She clapped her hands together, and a shimmering blue, flat disk of a portal appeared in the air next to her -- a doorway between dimensions.
“Wait!” Dipper moved closer. “I have so many questions!”
“We don’t have much time to answer them, I’m afraid.” Maria rubbed Dipper’s cap-covered head. “You’ll get your answers eventually; maybe your Grunkle Ford will be willing to tell you stories one day, when you’re a little older. Until then, you kids stay safe, don’t read any weird cave inscriptions aloud, and try to teach Gideon a lesson in a way that will get him to see reason without putting you all in a life-or-death situation. The kid needs guidance, not to be turned into an outcast.”
Mabel fidgeted as Kitsune slid his tail out from under her fingers. “But...but Gideon--”
“I know what he did, sweetheart, but he can change. It’ll take time, and probably more lessons that he had to learn in other dimensions, but he will eventually become less stalker-ish. Eventually.” Maria ruffled Mabel’s hair as well. “Don’t ever tell him he’s good boyfriend material, though; I wouldn’t trust someone with a stalker past to get in a relationship with me.”
Kitsune chuckled, his tails curling at the tips. Ford found the display odd, but he didn’t get the chance to ask what it meant, because the next thing they knew, Maria and Kitsune had stepped through the portal and out of their dimension.
Leaving Ford to be stared at by Mabel and Dipper.
“Why didn’t you tell us you knew another you?” Mabel asked, eyes shining. “Are other ones gonna show up now?”
“Highly unlikely,” Ford replied.
“I find it hard to believe that you’re the luckiest you out there,” Stan said with a snort. “There’s no way that’s possible; you’ve never beaten me at poker.”
“Because you cheat, and besides, my luck only seems to work when it’s to my advantage somewhere in the future,” Ford hissed back.
Stan huffed, took a step, and stumbled. Ford quickly caught him and pulled Stan’s left arm over his shoulders.
“Let’s get you back to the Shack and looked over properly,” Ford muttered. He started to move back towards the house, Stan limping in step with him and Dipper and Mabel moving ahead of them.
“C-could you tell us about the other dimensions?” Dipper asked, hesitant and hopeful.
“Oo! Oo! Did you find a dimension made of cotton candy?” Mabel asked.
Something about Mabel’s eagerness made Ford laugh a little. “No, no.” His face scrunched up as he thought back to some of the dimensions he’d been to. “Although, there was this one where everything was shaped like the letter ‘M.’” He shuddered.
“That doesn’t sound so bad,” Mabel commented.
“Every single word they spoke started with the letter ‘m,’” Ford said. “I was considering ‘mommitting muicide’ if I never found a natural rift away from there.”
“Ford!” Stan looked at him sharply as Dipper and Mabel stared at him with wide eyes. “Lay off that kinda talk, will ya? Lighten up for once, geez.”
Ford ducked his head a little at that, but a slight smile appeared on his face. “All right, all right. Let me try to think of a different one….”

I have only 5 lectures this semester (because 2 got canceled for me) and I am only visiting 3 actively :’D
I got into Ateez shortly after the SayMyName MV came out. But I was like “Nah, I don’t need to stan them” 2 days later I knew more about them than the friend who introduced me to them ^^’ I swear I only wanted to know all their names
So I managed to get tickets for the concert and somehow managed to get into the fansign as well. Since then my biaslist is basically a mess, I stan them harder and they are my Ultimate group :’D
It’s my 3rd comeback with skz I think? Maybe more. Because my flatmate is stanning them hard I was dragged into them. I lover their songs and listen to them a lot. I just don’t find the motivation to “investigate” about them enough^^
I’m glad I can tell them apart and I think i know 6 or 7 names to the faces. So I am fine :3
Oof, the Ateez comeback killed me. All the sleeveless shirts, the summer vibes, the good mood? I love it!
Favorite song is really hard tho because there is no song I'm ever skipping since they are all so good ~ Right now I would say Aurora and Promise I think
#🐌Anon#I like that you're ranting#It makes me smile#So don't worry about it please#Atiny anon project#Aap#Never make me choose favorites#I'm bad at that#XD
