It's my first cold season in my first apartment, which is part of a house built in 1917; I figured they haven't updated much of the structure, so I was telling my coworker that it was built before insulation was invented so it's gonna get cold. They were like "Nahhh no way they haven't added insulation by now"

Okay so why is it so cold I can't use the blankets cause they're cold too lol

The only heat is 2 steam radiators, and I tried turning the knob but it wouldn't turn counterclockwise which is the way it should go to turn on (also I don't know when they were last used so I'm not sure they even work or how well they do work). I submitted a maintenance request, but they haven't done anything yet, so I'm just not using any heat. It's so colddddd
