Learning Experience update!! Chapter 12: Lookaftering

Living alone on the streets and in the wilds quickly taught Pip to hate the cold for many reasons. The most pressing issue was illness--hypothermia or otherwise. Falling ill when he only had himself to rely on was troublesome to say the least, and he sometimes suspected he'd only survived previous winters because the gods didn't want to give up their plaything yet.

Pip didn't need to go through his normal motions anymore. He could accept the housing he'd been provided with and maybe go a winter season without a horrible bout of sickness. Except he couldn't, not really, especially not now. He'd rather be sick.
