# tsukishima kei ‐ better for you
a/n: a request for anon that definitely took me too long to write T-T i'm terribly sorry for the delay .... also this strangely reminds me of my first ever fic on this account (which was also abt tsukki) so it's kinda silly :33
summary: tsukishima is jealous and not exactly good at hiding it.
warnings: none, pure fluff
tsukishima has been awfully quiet since you arrived at the training camp.
it's not like that was an unusual behavior from him - he was naturally a quiet, introverted person, so anyone with a basic knowledge about his personality would assume it's perfectly normal. but you knew better.
he was your boyfriend, after all. even if quiet and rather reserved, he would continuously taunt you with his snarky comments and witty remarks, almost twice as much as he would his teammates. but for the last two days or so, his demeanor changed; there was something that ticked him off, and, contrary to his beliefs, he was not good at hiding his jealousy.
figuring out the reason behind it was a no-brainer.
tsukishima adjusted his glasses as he observed yet another guy walking up to you, and he could already recite the way this conversation was about to go from memory. he stood next to yamaguchi, back resting on the outer wall of the gym, eyes staring daggers into the fukurodani jersey of the boy trying to hit on you. but of course, he didn't do a thing about it, instead opting for a low, annoyed huff.
you could see him from where you stood, and a sigh left your lips as you saw his eyes dart away from yours the moment they met, the blonde boy wasting no time in walking away to a spot where he wouldn't have to see the situation in front of him.
the boy in front of you, whose name you've found out to be komi, fukurodani's libero, kept on babbling about something, but you've stopped listening a while ago, quickly excusing yourself to follow after your boyfriend.
'wait.' you said, voice just loud enough for tsukishima to stop in his tracks, head turning around to face you, waiting for you to continue what you wanted to say. you caught up with him, eyes squinting a little as you looked up because of the sun positioned right behind his head. 'are you really jealous of all these guys?'
'no.' he rolled his eyes, a classic sign of frustration from him, almost as if he intentionally tried to show you that despite his words, he is indeed annoyed with them.
'i can clearly see that you are.' he didn't answer you this time, silence taking over as he avoided eye contact with you, acting more childish than ever. you couldn't help but smile, hand reaching out for his with a gentle squeeze. 'you know that they could never steal me from you, right?'
silence.
'oh, come on, you're sulking like a five year old baby right now.'
'says the one who acts like a baby all the goddamn time.' his remark made you crack a smile, happy that you got him to talk. 'it's annoying. and it's not like i don't trust you either. it's something different.'
'hm?'
he let go of your hand, taking a few steps forward, the setting sun hitting his face as he stared into the magine in front of him; the hill he had to run up and down at least five times that day, barely noticeable roofs of homes situated not far away.
'don't you think that at least one of them could be, you know.' you already knew what point he was trying to make, and yet hearing it from him made your heart break a little. 'better for you?'
a moment of silence passed, the chirping birds being heard from away.
'no.'
he could hear the sound of your shoes hitting the ground with each step you took towards him, your arms gently wrapping around his torso from behind, face nuzzling into his back.
'look at me, tsukki.' hearing your words, he slowly turned his head around, only to be met with your lips already on his in a sweet, short kiss. 'listen carefully, alright?'
'i'm.' kiss. 'not.' kiss. 'going.' kiss. 'anywhere.'
he couldn't help but smile at your actions, breaking out of his aloof persona for a split second, hand searching for yours to hold it tenderly.
'besides,' you added, lips curving up into a sly smile. 'none of them could give me the same level of sarcasm that i love so much.'
you continued smooching his lips, cheeks, forehead, nose, trying to cover his entire face with kisses.
'alright, alright.' he mumbled quietly, pulling you away as he adjusted his hair. 'don't be so touchy here, though. not that i don't like it, it's just-'
'i knew it!' you recognized the voice behind you immediately, and tsukishima's shocked face only confirmed your suspicions.
'let's leave the lovebirds before kei kills us with his death stare, bokuto.' another familiar voice was heard, and as you turned around, you immediately noticed the spikey black hair and kuroo's tall frame.
as they ran away, shouting a familiar rhyme of 'y/n and tsukki sitting on a tree', you couldn't help but laugh, resting your head on your boyfriend's shoulder. he didn't look half as content as you, lips in a straight line as if he just got caught doing something so utterly embarrassing he would never recover from it.
'if they continue this, everyone will know.' he mumbled, back to his usual, annoyed tone.
'look at the positives, kei.' you nudged him on the shoulder, smiling up at him. 'at least now no one will flirt with me anymore. no more frustrations for you.'
and maybe you were right.
or maybe you weren't, as he found out later, when the information of your relationship got to the ears of his overly excited upperclassmen.

His shirts
Mafia dad Levi x fem reader
It'd been a long few days for Levi and being away from his family was something he hated, but sometimes he had to go away with Erwin and a few others to do business in another country. Normally, Levi would take you and his daughter along with him to enjoy a foreign country, but it was too dangerous this time. So, you, his goddess of a wife and precious little baby girl were left at home with his mum helping out.
With arms full of presents and a smile on his face, Levi strolled from his car to his home on the hill with glorious views of the city and sea with mountains behind. It made him smile that as a couple you'd gone from a tiny apartment to this large house. The two of you had worked so hard together.
He pushed open the front door and slipped his shoes and coat off. He slowly made his way into the large living room to see the sunken sofa and sitting area in front of the TV was occupied by you and his three-year-old daughter.
Levi's heart skipped a beat when he heard you giggle at your daughter. He blushed at seeing you and his daughter in shirts of his. He moved closer until he was close to the steps down to the sofa area. Levi's feelings and emotions kept changing. He was aroused by you being in just his shirt and thigh-high socks with your thick thighs he loved biting on show. He felt like he could just melt into a gooey mess at seeing his daughter in his shirt that was too big for her.
Daisy stomped her little feet up to her bear and picked it up into the air. "Sleep with the fishy!" She then threw the bear down to the ground. "Bye-bye." She huffed before looking up and noticing Levi. Daisy's face lit up in pure delight. "DADDY!"
You flinched and turned your head to see Levi. "Hey, grumpy kitty. Welcome home."
Daisy ran over to him with her arms open. "Daddy!"
Levi placed the gifts down before scooping his daughter up into his arms. "Hello, my cute little flower. Have you been good for your mummy?"
She nodded. "Yes! We played, we cuddled and mummy told me so many stories."
"Sounds like a lot of fun." He walked down the steps and sat on the sofa next to you, you were clearly buzzing with excitement at seeing him but you were happily waiting. "I'm glad."
"I slept in Daddy's bed."
"You did? Were you keeping mummy company?"
She nodded. "Yes."
He pocked her cheek. "Thank you." He kissed her puffy cheek. "So, what was this sleeping with the fishy?"
She grinned. "You say it!"
He released a long sigh. "You're right..." He placed her down on her feet. "I have a few presents for you." He leaned over and grabbed the ones for her. "Go sit with your teddy and take your time with them, okay? I have a very beautiful mummy to kiss."
Daisy hugged her gifts as she giggled. "Thank you, daddy. Give mummy lots and lots and lots of kisses!"
He watched her run off before slowly turning to you. He shifted closer as excitement throbbed inside him. "Bunny." He growled your pet name with a deep voice laced with desire. "I missed you." He caressed your cheek. "Come here."
You dove into his arms. "Mm, Levi."
He dragged you onto his lap and inhaled deeply allowing him to enjoy your scent. "Fuck, I missed you so much." He tilted his head and kissed you. The two of you moaned and purred in delight. "Oh, bunny you are a delight and pleasure."
You massaged your fingers in his hair. "So are you." You shifted on his lap. "Promise you're staying a while?"
"Promise. No more going away for days."
"Good, 'cause I might have to lock you up."
He chuckled. "I think I'll like that." He massaged your thighs. "So, my shirt huh?"
You nodded and looked over at Daisy playing with her new toys. "We both missed you. Daisy got very teary-eyed about it so I told her what I do when I miss you, I get one of your shirts. She said we should wear them and we have been for two days now." You looked back at Levi. "That okay?"
"More than okay." He nuzzled his nose against yours. "Wear it later?"
You saw the sparkle in his eyes and knew what he was talking about. "Oh, I will." You nipped his neck. "I'm all yours." You slipped off his lap making him whine. "Now! I think you should help your daughter make her toys sleep with the fishy."
Levi slipped off the sofa and sat on the floor. "Alright, little flower. Who we making sleep today?"

You Deserve Better
Tsu'Tey x GN! reader
Word count: 1.5k
Warnings: suggestive, no use of y/n
Synopsis: Tsu'tey has avoided you since your Iknimaya, his silence far more reluctant complicated than his normal stoicism.
You find yourself wandering on the very outskirts of the clan after the night's evening meal, it barely being days since your Iknimaya, Tsu'tey had hardly spoken a word to you in the days since. You find yourself leaning against one of the trees, as your thoughts left you restless.
Your tail swayed at your ankles, a hand came to rest on your shoulder, you stumbled back a few steps, swinging around to see Tsu'tey staring you down.
"Tch, I had thought you started listening to my lessons."
"I do, I'm just... distracted." You rolled your shoulders and cleared your throat recovering from your embarrassment; all under his trademark scowl.
"Distracted or a skxawng?"
You scoff, crossing your arms a grin tugging your lips
"Never change will you?" He shoves you jovially, walking past you and the clearing.
"Are you not coming Tawtute?"
Your ears perk up, taking a few long strides to tail behind him as he keeps walking along. He spared you no glances till your strides met his, walking side by side.
"Why have you been ignoring me?"
"I have not."
"That's bullshit Tsu’tey."
You speak, stepping in front of him, he winced back at his name, lips pulled straight; his ears lie flat. Nonetheless he turns his head up and continues on.
"Hush, this is not important."
"Is it not important, or you don't want to talk about it?"
"Always talking, mouth can never close." He paused for less than a moment, sucking at his teeth. "Now hush and let me show you."
"Show me what?"
"You stop talking and you will see."
Tsu'tey says, stopping in front of you shortly, hand on your back pressing you to continue walking with a persistent nudge. The tips of his fingers lingered just longer than needed.
You quickly fell behind, you trudged behind him, your attitude soured all while you followed behind him, your ears pressed flat. A soft glow raised past a steep hill as your steps slowed, the cliff revealing a small lake beneath, the glowing water flora lit your bodies from below. Eyes widening, your shoulders relaxed, dropping to your knees to lean over the short cliff.
You look up to Ts’utey, a stupidly wide smile plastered on your face, he grinned back down to you smugly as he straightened his shoulders, dropping to the balls of his feet beside you.
"Go on." His voice lower-- kinder than before as his palm mildly slapped your back, urging you forward.
"What?"
"Jump."
"I knew you wanted to get rid of me!" You teased, pushing him by his shoulder as you stood yourself.
You peered just over the ledge shrugging your shoulders as you took a running start back. You sprinted to the ledge, smile a mile wide, your eyes screwed tight for the jump.
"Cannonball!"
You sank past the surface, your eyes flickered open looking below your feet, the scattered plants below still swaying from the ripple of your jump, tickling your ankles while you drifted there weightless.
Swimming along the lake bed, hand grazing the smooth stones, and colorful water grass.
Amongst your underwater frolicking, you'd nearly forgotten to resurface as your lung's pulled a harsh reminder back to mind.
Coughing when you broke the water's surface, you pushed your hair out of your face, staring back up at Tsu'tey still standing on the cliff above you.
"Well? Just gonna make me swim alone down here?"
You hardly made out his dry chuckle as he took his swan dive just past you. Rippling waves pushing you back into a low hanging branch. You looked around for his head to break the surface– pushing away from the downward leaning tree you lie on your back floating over top the cool current of the water.
You heard him gasp behind you as water splashed onto your face, sputtering as you regained your balance, glaring back at the Na’vi in question.
“You ass!” You cackled, splashing him in your righteous retribution.
You both swam around each other, losing track of time as you both enjoyed the lighthearted play fighting between you two. So innocent– childish yet the glances he spared you in the water lasted too little too long for that to be completely true.
You floated aimlessly as you tried to clear the water from your eyes, all while you struggled for breath among your own wheezing laughter. Meanwhile you swam back into his chest.
“Oh sorry-”
He grabbed hold of your arm, his eyes bored into you as you. Water still soaked your face, even through your blurred vision his intense stare still captivated you, you could’ve sworn your heart stopped.
“Tsu’tey is something up?”
“You are one of the clan now.” He paused, swallowing back the knot in his throat, his voice nearly wavering. “You may make your bow of the hometree… and choose a mate for yourself.”
“Would you help me?”
“Hm?”
“Make my bow I mean.” You spoke softly, offering a kind smile to him.
“If you insist, how could I refuse?” He bows his head away from your eyes. “I must tell you something.” His voice faltered, he tittered embarrassed.
“Mhm?” You reached for his shoulder in reassurance.
He led you both over to the lake’s edge, leaning on the soft ground as he let his grasp on your arm drop.
His head hung low looking up at you through his half lidded eyes. He gnawed as his tongue, biting his fear back as he finally spoke.
“Nga yawne lu oer, I love you.” He sounded desperate, barely above a rasped whisper. “I have not treated you as such, I know and I do not deserve you.”
“...But if you would have me, I swear you would get nothing but my best tiyawn.” He takes your hand in his, resting it on his forehead.
“Tsu’tey, I didn’t… You do?”
“More than you know.”
“Then you should know I love you too Tsu’tey.”
You grabbed hold of his face and brought it close to your own. His nose nuzzled against yours, bodies nestled against each other. His arms held against the small of your back, strong arms bringing you ever closer.
You paused a moment, biting back the bile in your throat. “I see you Tsu’tey.”
“I see you.”
His response left your heart doing leaps, the sinking pressure in your chest replaced with a souring catharsis, putting the fears you had aside. You tested the waters, brought your hands to the nape of his neck. The bridge of your own nose flush to his; lips brushed against the other’s closing the pitiful gap between you, mouths melded together. He sighed into the kiss, as if it was all he ever needed, his back leaned into the surface of the water’s bank, holding you on top of himself; supporting you both the best he could. He broke away from you, forehead resting on yours.
“I am sorry for me avoiding you. I did not know how to tell you tiyawn, I am ashamed, and you deserve better.”
“Why are you worrying about that now? I understand, I understand and I chose you.” You said between peppering his face in chaste pecks. Slowly devolving into open mouthed kisses along his jaw and throat.
“Very well.” A smirk pulled across his face, kind but roguish all the same. He gripped the back of your neck, bringing you back into his kiss. His teeth nipped and tugged at your bottom lip, as your kiss further deepened, pulling into one another. Your hand reached into his hair, tugging his braids gingerly as he let a raspy groan slip past his teeth.
His tail coiled round your thigh, its tip tapping rhythmically against your skin it soothed your nerves as the rhythm carried through into the movement of his lips. His hand crawls down your back, chills rising up your spine and in an instant his mouth moves to your neck, leaving messy love bites down onto your shoulder.
You pulled your kuru over and past your shoulder, looking over to him expectantly, eyes half lidded and pleading. Hand laid on his chest. His hand pushed your own down your queue with it.
“Allow me to court you properly, please.” He took your hand in his, your five fingers intertwined with his four, you fit together so well for how different you really were.
“What difference does it make?” You sigh pushing your head under his chin, your words muffled into his chest.
“You deserve it.”
“I don’t care about all that, just you.”
“In due time.”
His arms encased you, glow from his illuminated freckles dotted your own skin. Floated aimlessly for what might as well have been an eternity, if he hadn’t insisted on dragging you both out from your weightless drifting. Onto the soft moss decorating the forest floor, your fingers lingered on each other as you gave way to your mind’s drift, still laid out in each other’s arms.
He fidgeted with your hair, breathed in your scent even as it braided with his own.
“Mm, tiyawn?”
“What is it, love?”
“What is a ‘cannonball’?”

"I'm sorry, but you must be a level 4 friend to unlock my tragic back-story." The prince jokes. "And call me Stiles, even I can't pronounce my actual name."
Or the one where Derek and his crew are assigned to be the glorified babysitter of an alien prince, and everything is not as it seems.
Triton's Folly by Kaye_Fraser, S3anchaidh
(8/8 I 46,185 I Teen I Sterek)
As an officer in the United Earth Alliance, Major Derek Hale understands the order of things and his place in the world. Yet, a decade of war and a lifetime of dedicated service have taken its toll. The only thing that has kept him sane all these years is the video logs of a scientist he’d found years ago, buried in the rubble of a research station on Callisto. He knows that the man in the videos – Stiles – is long gone, lost to the vastness of space, but to Derek, he’s alive. In fact, he thinks he has fallen half in love with the boundless energy and bright-eyed optimism of the image he sees on his screen. Then, everything changes when a fateful mission strands him on the surface of a desolate moon … and brings him face-to-face with a man he had only ever dreamed of meeting.
Relationships That Start Under Intense Circumstances by seraphina_snape

When he uncovers a conspiracy and finds evidence of an anti-werewolf movement that spreads into the highest positions at AWI, he knows he must do what he can to stop Kate and Gerard Argent from destroying what the rest of the Argents (and the rest of the world) have worked for so hard.
Things get a little complicated when Kate and Gerard turn the tables on Stiles and accuse him of treason and espionage. On the run and with killers on his tail to shut him up, Stiles has to find a way to stop the release of a dangerous product, prove his innocence and find a way to implicate Kate and Gerard in the conspiracy. With his dad, Scott and Allison in danger from Kate and Gerard, Stiles is incredibly grateful when he meets Derek Hale who promptly saves his life. But it soon becomes clear that Derek is hiding something that could be the undoing of Stiles and everything he's trying to do.

(10/10 I 73,419 I Not Rated I Sterek)
“What the hell kind of a name is Stiles?” he asked.
“You know, a series of sounds spoken in a particular sequence that represent my identity, primarily, referring to me?“ the AI – Stiles – answered cheekily, crossing his own arms in front of his chest, mirroring Derek’s position.
“Ooh, this one’s feisty,” Peter smirked.
War Crimes by loserchic
(69/69 I 81,840 I Mature I Sterek)
In a fantastical military state, Stiles, an orphaned nobody, street smart omega was rescued as a child by war hero alpha, Commander Derek Hale. Six years later, Stiles still maintains an obsession with taking care of himself and a blatant mistrust of alphas. Stiles becomes the first omega to be accepted into elite training with the Black Wolves, the military's special operations force. Derek has always intended to mate with Stiles and is furious at the idea of him entering training. However, Stiles' guardians only agree to allow Derek to mate with Stiles if he allows Stiles to attempt Black Wolves' training. Derek becomes Stiles' commanding officer and the war between them begins. Also a lot of fraternization.

A/N: I just want to start by thanking everyone for all the love on this story so far. Let me know if you want to be added to the tag list. I'm so sorry for being MIA - been a bit held up on the writing (so I may drop back to one chapter a week for a little while), but hopefully, I can get ahead again quickly and return to normal soon. But this is a longer one so I hope that makes up for it. Anyways, please heed the TW below and only read if you feel comfortable - otherwise I hope you enjoy!
Potential Trigger Warnings: mentions of violence, rape,
A Sweet Mishap Masterlist | Main Masterlist
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
It’s just past two in the morning when I wake up drenched in sweat with my heart racing. I feel a hand on my arm and I instantly recoil into the pillows as close to the headboard as I can get. As my eyes slowly adjust to the sudden brightness of the room I see Jensen kneeling in front of me in a plain black henley and sweatpants with his hands up in surrender.
“It was just a nightmare. It’s to be expected. You’re safe.”
I wipe at my wet cheeks. “I’m sorry.”
“Hey, it’s okay. I would’ve been surprised if you weren’t having nightmares. I expected this, that’s why I wanted you to be here. So, at least you wouldn’t wake up alone.”
He reaches over to the far bedside table and grabs a water bottle. He breaks the seal and holds it out to me. I take it and a take a few small sips. He watches me intently to make sure I’m okay. I slowly relax, put the water bottle to the side and lay back down on my side. He moves to climb off the bed. “C-Can you stay? I-I don’t want to b-be alone.”
“Of course.” He crawls up to the top of the bed and sits beside me. His arms crossed over his chest as he leans against the headboard. I try to close my eyes but I instantly flash back to being crushed into my couch. He senses me jump and places one hand on my shoulder. “Tell me about your time in Texas. That white horse.”
I look up at him and his eyes are closed. The guilt at keeping him up comes rushing back. He continues, “Snowball, right? Did you rear her from a foal?”
I nod. “I-I wanted a pony, but my dad said no. We, uh, we always had horses but they were all so big and I was scared of them. So I begged him to get me a pony. But then one of our mares got pregnant. Starla. She was a beautiful horse, black with white speckles. I loved her too. Generally, my dad would sell the foals to keep numbers down but my birthday was coming up around the time she was due and she actually did end up giving birth on my birthday. So, my dad let me name her and said she was mine. Of course, I had just turned 10 so my dad did most of the work, but I did come down and check on her daily and brushed her. And as she got bigger and older I learned to ride on her. She was such a well mannered horse, thanks to my dad. Once I got confident, I used to ride her all the time. Whenever I was mad at my parents or friends, or stressed about finals, I’d just get on and ride her into the hills. I miss it.”
As I tell him, I picture myself on her back amongst the trees in a forestry behind my childhood home. The wind in my hair, the warm sunlight on my skin. I start to relax.
The bed is empty when I wake up. I stretch, feeling slightly better. On the end of the bed is a pair of thick blue jeans, and a black long sleeved shirt and socks that I don’t recognise. I get out of bed and slip into the ensuite to shower and then change into the outfit. That’s when I spot a pair of black riding boots. My jaw drops. I rush out to the living room in search of Jensen, still with my hairbrush in hand. “Jensen, what is all this?”
He runs his eyes over my body as he saunters over to me. “Good mornin’ beautiful. It’s the break you need.”
“But…Work and my classes and broadway.”
“It’ll just be a couple of hours. We’ll be back in time for you to go to your afternoon class and for tonight’s show. And you’ve got the day off.”
“But my rent and bills and…”
He places his hand on my cheek softly to make me look up at him. “You have a doctor’s certificate, it’s all paid. It’s all handled. Just let me look after you. I leave tomorrow, it’s all I could get, so just let me have today.”
I take a step back. “Wait…How’d you know I have class this afternoon?”
“I asked Stella for your schedule. Sorry, I should’ve asked you, but I just…I’m sorry if I overstepped.”
“No, it’s okay. It just-”
“I understand. I just wanted to know so I could make plans before you woke up. Plans that can be cancelled if you really don’t want to, but I think you’ll enjoy it and that you need it.”
I nod and finish brushing my hair before securing it back in a low braid, slipping on the boots and then following Jensen downstairs to the car.
Less than an hour later we’re walking hand-in-hand into a large stable. A wave of nostalgia hits me as I breathe in the smells – they’re not exactly pleasant but to me it’s home. None of the horses are white like my beautiful mare, but they’re all beautiful in their own way. As we’re taking it all in, a lady with short brown hair, blue eyes and dressed similar to myself just with a little extra dirt approaches us.
“Welcome to our stables! You must be Jensen and Y/N. My name is Mia and I’ll be your guide today. Let’s go meet the horses and get them all saddled up.”
She leads us over to the stables one by one introducing us to each horse and letting us pet them. She pairs me up with a sweet and gentle, tan and white patched mare and helps me saddle her up while Jensen gets a larger black stallion. Once our horses are saddled and we clip on our helmets we climb onto our horses backs and trot out of the stable side-by side with Mia out slightly infront on a slightly younger and more unruly brown stallion. As I look over at Jensen the sight of him on horseback makes my breath catch. He winks at me and I blush as I turn to look ahead at Mia.
She leads us through a winding trail through the trees to an open field where she lets us have a little more free reign once establishing that we’re both seasoned riders. He speeds out in front and I chase him. My horse handles well and the longer I’m on her back the more at ease and at home I feel. That’s when I realize why I feel so at ease with Jensen. Unlike Travis and Tyler who took me away from my home, Jensen keeps bringing home to me. As I slow to a trot, he turns his horse to come back over to me with a smile.
“You okay?” he asks once he gets close.
I nod. “Better than. Thank you for continually making me feel at home.”
“Anytime. I know what it’s like to miss home. I spend more time in my trailer in Vancouver or on a plane or in foreign hotel rooms than I do in my house in Austin or with my parents in Dallas. Home is where your heart is. Once you realise that, anywhere is home. It’s just about finding those experiences.”
He rides his horse up so he’s next to me before leaning over and kissing my cheek. He’s gone before I can react or protest. He rides off, leaving me to chase after him again. As the sun beats down on us, we finally get the first taste of spring. Everything else falls away and it’s just the two of us riding together and I can’t help but imagine a future like this, with him. No insecurities, no fear, no traumatic past, just me and him finding home together in different cities.
We make it back just in time for my classes, but I can’t seem to focus on any of my notes. My head is still in that field on that horse with Jensen. I’m honestly just going through the motions as I copy down the notes from the board and even during the show. I only finally come back to reality when I get in the car with Jensen at the end of the night. He wraps an arm around my shoulders and pulls me to his chest as we ride in comfortable silence back to the hotel.
On his couch he reminds me of the early morning with him flying out. That’s when my mom texts me, reminding me that they’re also arriving bright and early tomorrow. It’s perfect timing really because now I can see him off before going back to my apartment with my parents and I won’t have to be alone. As it gets late we both take turns to shower and then lay down in the large king-size bed together. He initially leaves space between us, but I snuggle close in search of comfort. In the back of my mind, I know I’m falling fast and hard again, but I can’t make myself stop. I’m too far gone. As I rest my head on his chest, he places his hand on my arm.
Eventually I cut through the darkness, “When do you finish filming?”
“The end of March. What about broadway?”
“Same. How d’you feel about Summer in Texas?”
“I can’t think of anything better. Do I get to see you in that dress?”
“Maybe…”
“Let’s work towards that then. But for now, get some sleep, beautiful. And if you have any nightmares I’ll be right here.”
“Good night, Jensen.” I snuggle into his embrace and let my eyes fall closed as I relive the morning until I drift off.
I get through the night without any nightmares, but I’m not convinced that’s the last of the other night’s ordeal. I still have to tell Anna afterall and when that happens I know they’ll return. I quickly pack my few things back into the bag that Stella brought over for me while Jensen shoves everything into his backpack. Despite being the first time we’ve ever done this, it feels like a well-oiled machine. I smile over at him as we each zip up our bags. Within seconds his hands are around my waist. I let myself get swept up in the passion, feeling safe and at home in his hold.
“I’m gonna miss you,” he says.
“Me too. Thank you.”
“Anytime, Darlin’. Come on, Clif’s waiting. I’m gonna be in so much trouble if I miss this flight.” He throws his bag over his shoulder and takes my hand. The ride to the airport is tense. Neither of us are ready to say goodbye. I can tell he’s still worried about me, while I’m worried about being without him and what it means to be with him. With his sweet talking, he gets me into the VIP lounge to wait with him until either his flight leaves or my parents’ arrives. We both have a coffee and some light pastries while we wait. I’m convinced that despite the early morning there’ll be photos to contend with later, but with Jensen in this with me, I let the anxiety wait.
When they call for boarding he pulls me in for a quick hug before standing up and making his way towards the boarding gate.
As he hands over his ticket I call out, “Call me when you get there!”
He turns and nods briefly before boarding. I wave until I can’t see him anymore. I wipe away a stray tear as I make my way to the gate where my parents’ will be collecting their bags once they land. I distract myself by going over some of the readings on my phone for the classes that I’ve been neglecting.
Once they finally arrive and collect their bags, we hail a cab back to my apartment and my dad pays the driver.
I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing. Groggily, I reach over and answer it, my heart skipping a beat when I hear Jensen's voice on the other end.
“Good afternoon,” he says softly. “I just landed. I wanted to let you know I made it back safe and sound.”
A smile tugs at my lips as I sit up, suddenly wide awake. “Hey, Thanks.”
“Shouldn’t you be with your parents or getting ready for work?”
“Yeah, good timing. They’re out being tourists, but yeah, I gotta work soon. How was the flight?”
“Uneventful,” he chuckles. “But now that I'm back, I wish I could teleport back to you. I already miss you.”
I can't help but blush at his words, feeling a warmth spreading through my chest. “I miss you too,” I admit shyly. There's a brief pause on the line before I speak again, “I should let you go. I have to go to work anyways. Thanks for the wake up call and for letting me know you got back safe.”
“Have a good day. Don’t over work yourself.”
I smile as I hang up and jump off the couch where I fell asleep to rush around to get ready for work.
After my shift, I spend the little time I have between that and the show to I move out of my room to let them have the queen-sized bed while I take the couch. Despite the bad memories, it’s the best option. I just hope that with them around I’ll feel better.
One of the first things my mom notices is the now-wilted roses sticking out of the top of the bin. “Did Stella and Nick get you those for your debut? I know roses are the done thing. We wanted to send you something but we thought we would come here instead. I’m sorry we couldn’t make last weekend.”
I try to avoid the question, “You’re here now. That’s what matters.”
As she takes a seat at the bench she sees the card and being the curious and border-line nosy mother that she is, opens it. “J? That one of your co-stars?”
“Uh…No. He’s the guy a told you about…from Texas.”
“The movie star? This mean you’re putting yourself out there again?”
“I guess…Maybe…” I look at the roses and blush. “He’s great guy, but it’s a complicated situation. He works in Canada and I’m just getting my shot on broadway.”
“He works in Canada and flew back here for the show?”
“Yeah…It was a surprise.”
“Sounds like you might finally have a winner on your hands. Someone who’s willing to fly to you rather than making you move for them. Eventhough I know New York is where you want to be now…The move was never really your choice, was it?”
“Yeah. I hope so…We haven’t known each other long, but I think I like him, Mom.”
She rounds the island to pull me in for a hug. “I’m glad to finally see you happy, especially after that call about wanting to throw it all in and come home. You’re so strong and it’s finally your time to shine. Of course I wish you never went through such dark times but it’s all so far in the past now. I’m so proud of you.”
“Thanks, Mom.” My dad then comes and joins, wrapping his arms around both of us. He missed the whole conversation since he was busy setting up their bags and using the bathroom, but I can tell from his squeeze that he shares her sentiments.
When I go to the theater they stay back to relax after the long flight and from walking around the city. But they go to the show the next night and then out for the most New York-style food we can find; New-York-Style Pizza, hot dogs, cheesecake, and bagels. While I work, they take the chance to sightsee around the city. It’s not the first time they’ve visited since I’ve lived alone in New York, but there’s always more to see.
After waking them up with my yelling from a nightmare, I end up recounting the terrible tale of the attack. It’s hard to tell them and for them to hear, but they provide support and help me through yet another bad boy experience. Despite what I expect, my mom doesn’t pressure me to come home. She just encourages me to talk with Anna and lean on Stella and stop letting the actions of bad guys dictate the state of my life. I can’t help but smile at the similarity to Jensen’s sentiments. Just knowing I have people on my side makes me feel more confident and at peace. My dad offers to take the couch, despite my protests and his bad back, while my mom and I share my bed.
We talk until I can fall back asleep. I end up telling her more about Jensen and how he helped my through the days until they got here. I tell her about the horse riding and the Texas Barbecue and how everything he does is to make me feel more at home. She tells me he sounds like a good man, but to be cautious, because we thought the same of Travis and Tyler in the beginning, and insists to meet him one day. So, I tell her about our plans to spend summer in Texas and promise that if those plans eventuate, then I’ll bring him home with me.
The rest of their trip flows quickly and we’re all a little disappointed that I don’t get to spend more time with them over the few days that they’re in the city, but they understand I can’t afford to take anymore time off or skip any of my classes. They insist that I come home during the summer at least for a little while, regardless of whether the plans work out with Jensen, and promise to buy the tickets for me if he doesn’t. And once their seemingly whirlwind visit comes to an end all too soon, I catch an Uber to the airport with them to see them off.
Once they’re on the plane I go back to Stella’s place, ready to face the music and tell Anna everything. I’ve already left it way longer than I should. I sit down on the couch with her and slowly and carefully explain everything: what happened, why I haven’t been around, why it took me so long to tell her. She seems to understand and accept everything I tell her. While her first instinct is to go back to him to stop him from hurting anyone else, I try to persuade her that it would be more beneficial for her to go to the police and corroborate my story. Whether any charges will stick, they at least have a better chance if she’s willing to share her story. She agrees and so we both go to the police station together before my class. I sit in the waiting area while she talks to the same detective I did. She’s in the room for a long time, but it’s to be expected, I imagine she has a lot to tell.
When Anna finally emerges from the interview room, she looks drained but determined. She tells me that she's given a statement, and the detective seems to believe her. I pull her into a hug, and there’s a changed energy and understanding between us. We both know we’re forever changed and bonded through this experience, but as I pull back and look at her, we silently agree to help each other through it. And for the first time in a long time, I feel like everything is gonna be okay. Despite everything, I know I have people on my side that want to help me, and someone that I know I can help. We catch the next available subways in opposite directions, she goes back to Stella’s while I go to class.

His Hero Pt 1
|Hello Everyone who comes across this. I saw some fan art drawing Dan Heng as Spider-Man and my brain refuses to let go of the thought. Dan Heng is my Favorite Star Rail character and Spider-Man is my favorite superhero so I'm mixing the two in this au. It will be more than one part. The reader will be shorter than Dan Heng. Anyways as always feel free to change the pronouns to fit you own. Enjoy and I hope you have a wonderful day or night.
Scenario: He got bitten by a radio active spider. Before that happened he was a standard college book nerd. He was working on his biology degree. He has a high moral obligation when it comes to people in need. That is if he is able to do something. He somehow manages to find a balance between his life and his life as a vigilante. Though getting closer to his crush is a bonus to the chaos that is his life.
Dan Heng x A Male Reader
Warnings: minor spoilers for Dan Heng and Blade's lore as well as the main story quest, mentions of death, injuries, minor angst, and very long|
Dan Heng:
Dan Heng had gotten injured during his last battle. He never expected he'd get into that situation. He was against a new organization that had arisen in his city recently. They claimed their leader could predict the future.
He was against the person named Blade from the group. He looked familiar to Dan Heng. The hero couldnt place his finger on the familiarity until he said something. The thing happened to catch him off guard. Blade called him by his dead brother who caused a lot of problems for him. It made his blood run cold and muddled his mind for a moment which lead him arm getting cut.
His late brother was the reason he wasn't living a normal life. He was the one that raised Dan Heng. He had cause a lot of issues for a lot of people. Dan Heng unfortunately looked similar to his brother that many mistook him for the other. He did a lot of things that upset a lot of people. However before things went down hill he was considered a hero and highly respected. He wished to not be his brother's shadow anymore.
His brother was the original Spider-Man. He bitten and relied on two of his friends. They were named Yingxing and Jiang Yuan. Dan Heng sort of remembered them but somethings happened when his brother had his down fall and his memories were scattered about.
He never met the two as he always hid in his room when they were over. He had seen them a couple of times when he peaked out of his room to see if they had left yet but they never saw him. With Yingxing he never saw the other's face while once or twice he caught a glimpse of Jiang Yuan's face. His brother also never mentioned him as they had a rocky relationship.
Dan Heng only found out about his brother being a hero because he came home injured. He took care of the wound. Though he had no clue about the experiments his brother was conducting until he found himself bitten by a radioactive spider that bit his brother. He remembered not wishing to even be in his brother's lab but Yinyue Jun forgot something important at home. He brought to his brother. His sort of remembered Yingxing being there but he doesnt trust his memory of the incident. After all his mind became hazy and memories fragmented.
He hadn't seen nor heard anything involving Yingxing since Yinyue Jun had died. Which happened not soon after he visited the lab. While Jiang Yuan mistook Dan Heng for his brother and arrested him for a short period of time. The arrest was removed off his record when they discovered that he was Dan Heng not Yinyue Jun. Jiang Yuan is kind and wished to help Dan Heng if he needed but the dark haired male was always mistaken as his brother.
Dan Heng also sense the white haired male held guilt for anything that happened involving his brother. He remembered everyone talking about his brother at the funeral. So many mixed emotions and opinions that he couldn't make heads or tails about. With his memories scattered it was hard to sort his thoughts and memories about the other. He choose to separate himself from his brother but people still claimed he was just living in Yinyue Jun's shadow.
He managed to make it out of the fight just fine. He had taken Blade down though he figured it wouldn't be for long as one of his comrades showed up. He had left quickly as Kafka was one of their group he didnt like messing with. He was safe from the two but he was still shaken up. Dan Heng hadn't changed out of his suit just yet. He just found himself in an alleyway hidden from sight trying to calm himself. He was trying to organize his thoughts. While he didn't sense any danger he heard footsteps approaching.
Dan Heng gave a sigh just what he needed. It was bad enough his vigilante side gig was exposed cause he ran into March 7th one night. Of course she thought he was Yinyue Jun as he reused his brother's suit design. He was now the same height as his brother once was. The general public minus Jiang Yuan thought he was still the original Spider-Man. The only difference was he refused to work during the day to avoid being seen. His brother was once again the original hero.
He wanted to leave before he was seen by this new person. He readied himself to swing out of there bracing himself for the sting that will occur. "Wait a second!" The person called out. He mentally cursed to himself.
For the second time that night his blood when cold. He'd recognize that voice anywhere. It was someone he holds dear. They met because of group project the shorter male had to work on with his roommates. Stelle and Caelus had fought over who was his friend. March wasn't home that day. They got acquainted then but didn't become close until he started his job at the local library. They were studying science and history. Which was very fitting for the other.
While he was reminiscing at how they met he felt a hand on his wrist. (Eye colored) eyes staring at him. "Look I'm sure you prefer not to be touched but I noticed a gash on your arm. My friends are constantly talking about you. You saved two of them once so I dont think youre a bad person. I know you're a hero and most likely wish to keep your identity hidden which I fully respect. Just hear me out please. I want take you to my home to patch you up. It's not far from here. I just worry about you swinging about with that wound Spider-Man." The shorter male said with a worried look. His eyes staring at the gash with a frown.
Dan Heng started thinking about everything. He knew (Name) was trustworthy. After the two became friends he learned the shorter of the two was very kind and gentle. He was also someone the hero would trust his life to if the situation called for it. Dan Heng thought it would best to just nod. He knew the other would lose sleep from worry. He saw relief flood into the other's eyes.
He was lead to (Name)'s home. It wasn't far and he was positive no one saw them. Dan Heng became a bit red under his mask due to the fact (Name) hadn't let go of his hand yet. The smaller male had sat him down. "Make yourself at home while I go get my first aid kit. Is it also possible to pull your arm out of your suit? If so pull it out please. I don't wish to damage your suit further but I want to make sure your arm is properly wrapped." (Name) said letting go and
"Caelus and Stelle are going to kill me if they find out about this. It'll be even worse for me if they tell Dan Heng." Dan Heng heard him mutter to himself while grabbing the first aid kit from the bathroom. While he was grabbing it Dan Heng pulled his arm out of his suit. It was made with the mask and body suit were separate. Had he not ran into (Name) then he'd be in that alleyway still.
He was rather nervous about this. (Name) came back and accessed the wound. He quickly began tending to the wound. "It may sting for a second. I'm going fo clean it." His soft voice said. The hero thought his voice had eased his mind a bit. He winced slightly from the disinfectant.
"If this happens again feel free to come here to get taken care of. Both of my parents are both in the medical field. I learned a lot from them. They taught me since some of my friends were constantly getting hurt when we were kids." (Name) couldn't believe he just offered that.
The (eye colored) male knew his friends would yell at him for this but he couldn't help it. The hero saved March and Caelus both in the past. His identity was a secret so getting help must be hard. It must be so lonely and hard. He had no interest in prying at all. He took care of his wound with ease. The hero was gone quickly after with a soft thanks.
What he just offered had finally sunk in what he offered. The adrenaline of seeing the wound and his need to help others died down. He pulled out his phone and opened his chat with Himiko. 'Hey Himiko I may have done something extremely dumb.' He quickly typed out. He couldn't go to his other friends after all. They'd make a trip this late to come scold him.
'Is everything alright? Do you need me to send Welt to stay over for a bit?' Himiko quickly replied as he cleaned everything up. This was going to be stuck in his mind for awhile. He just hoped making a deal to aide the hero wouldn't come to bite him in the butt. He chatted with Himiko for awhile until he was able to relax about the situation.
Dan Heng swung through the city until he snuck his way back home. His other three roommates didn't know about him being Spider-Man. In fact the only ones who did know were the oldest of the friend group. Himiko and Welt helped him immensely from making his suit to improving his gear.
After he got changed out of the suit he leaned on a wall. He had tossed his phone on his bed to not think about it. He covered his now extremely red face. There's no possible way he'd actually take (Name) on his offer to patched up as much as he yearned for it. It would put the smaller male at risk if anyone saw him heading there to get help.
He was trying to calm his racing heart when he noticed his phone light up signaling a message. He picked it up to check who could be messaging him. His eyes widened when he saw Himiko asking if he was ok. It was as if she had a second sense. 'I am fine you don't need to worry about me.' He responded.
'Glad you are ok.
A little birdy told me our dear (Name) patched up your wound and offered for you to come to him in the future. Though you did make him worry and freak out afterwards.
He messaged me freaking out because he offered to help a certain hero.
He was worried because he knows nothing about the hero but had a run in with him being injured tonight. I am relieved he patched you up regardless. Anyways get some rest and good night Dan Heng.' Himiko messaged.
Dan Heng gave a sigh. The smaller male was too kind for his own good. He'd be extremely worried had it been anyone else that was Spider-Man. He should plan something as his hero alter ego to thank him for patching him up. He also makes a mental note to persuaded him to not offer that. It could very much put him into dangers sights.
His hand subconsciously went to the bandages on his arm. He remembered the soft tone and gentle hands. His heart sped up once again for that night. He'd just realized he'd never been at the other's home. His face started heating up. He hoped he wouldn't have any late night knocks on his door from his roommates.
Needless to say the two males were up for the rest of the night. Dan Heng thinking about the shorter male. While (Name) was thinking of him without knowing know it. The following day started off normal for Dan Heng which was nice after a night of fighting crime.
His roommates had left their shared home earlier for classes or work. Making him the only one home. He didn't have any classes to attend that day which he was happy about. It also meant his arm would be able to heal more easily. At least for one day. He replaced the bandages on his arm carefully
All Dan Heng had to do was work his shift at the library. Which was a relief for him considering how much sitting in a lecture hall coping notes may irritate his cut. He heard a small knock on the door. Which he went to go answer. He looked slightly surprised seeing (Name) upon opening the door. His expression went back to his typical stoic one.
"Hey Dan Heng is Stelle here? She left something at my house the other day. I wanted to meet up with her but she hasn't been answering my texts. I think she's mad at me after Caelus made me draw for him in their gatcha game. Caelus got the character she wanted. She got a duplicate and blamed it on me rolling for the other." The shorter male said with a smile. Dan Heng shook his head.
"She has already left for her classes. Would you like me to put it on the counter for her? You also might have to roll for her later. Next time tell them both anything that happens isn't your fault." He said knowing how those two are. The shorter male nods. He gave a smile glad to have ran into Dan Heng. He was invited in for a moment. "Do you work today? If so and our shifts align we should walk there together." His gentle voice said.
"I am closing tonight so I won't be in until later. However I am happy to walk you there if you work earlier." Dan Heng answered setting the notebook on the counter and leaving a quick note for Stelle. It just meant more time they can spend together. He looked into shining (eye color) eyes. Dan Heng had a fond look in his eyes. He would deny it if anyone asked but he could get lost in those eyes.
"That would be appreciated. I am a mid shift today so when you clock in I'll be clocking out. If it's no hassle for you." The shorter male answered rubbing his neck. Dan Heng noticed his posture seemed timid. He tiled his head concerned. The other had a habit of not liking to bother others. He was worried someone was harassing his friend.
"Is everything ok?" The taller male asked with a worried look. His ocean eyes watched the other look away. "You know you can tell me whatever is troubling you. I'm always willing to lend an ear if you need one." He said softly. The other gave a sigh. His tone make the shorter male's heart skip a beat. "Promise not to get angry?" The response caught the hero off guard.
"If you're in danger or anything I won't be angry just worried. I can arrange for myself Caelus or Stelle to pick you up and walk you to work if you need. If none of us are available we can ask Mr. Yang." Dan Heng answered coming closer to the other. He was observing any movements that might spark concern.
The shorter male shook his head. "I'm not in danger I promise. It's just I have been feeling as though someone is watching me lately. Plus I want to spend more time with you as I haven't seen you very much." He lied for the first half of his sentence. It felt like something was amiss but Dan Heng couldn't place a finger on it.
Dan Heng frowned hearing his response. "If you have that feeling why didn't you ask sooner? I am happy to walk you. After you get off come here someone should be home. Wait for me here and we'll talk with the rest of our friends if we can work something out until the feeling is gone alright?" He offered a reassuring look.
"I'm fine with waiting at the library until you get off. I have some exams to study for anyways." (Name) said. He was happy go be around the dark haired male. His presence soothed him for some reason. He loved being around the young biologist. He was glad they met. He gave a nod in agreement.
"I am happy to help. It's better safe than sorry in this kind of situation. If it's just a feeling it should subside soon. Let me get ready and I'll stay with you for the rest of the day. I don't have any classes today and wasn't planning on doing much." Dan Heng got a nod in response. He'd make sure nothing would happen to the other.
"Also if the feeling is truly nothing then that's ok as well. I'd rather you feel safe. I can also teach you some self defense just in case if you want." Dan Heng stated. The other quickly shook his head no. His face was slightly pink. "Though it wouldn't hurt to learn I don't think we need to go that far." (Name) said looking away.
The two walked to the library chatting a bit. There was periods of silence but it was very comfortable. The two walked together as if it's was natural for them to be by each other's side. It has always been this way since they became close. As they were walking Dan Heng sensed danger and pulled the shorter male closer to him.
He winced and gave a sharp breath. He grabbed the other with his injured arm. "Dan Heng?" The shorter male asked worried. He felt safe in the other's arms but that sharp breath worried him. "Don't worry about me." He said still holding the other close. He looked around trying to find the danger it was in the middle of the day so there wasn't many people around.
He got slapped on his injured arm. He took another sharp breath. "What are you so on guard about Dan Heng?" March asked while looking at him holding (Name). She quickly took a picture. "You both are together and didn't tell me? How rude!" She shouted. She watched the shorter male go super red. While her stoic roommate had a faint blush. He quickly let go of the other.
"You're misunderstanding March. I am just walking him to work. I felt something was off and then you appeared. Also delete that picture" Dan Heng said. He shook his head at March 7th. While (Name) looked concerned. "Did you injure your arm? I can look at it if you need." The shorter male quickly asked grabbing his hand which made his blush darker slightly. He couldn't let the other see his arm since the other may piece together his identity.
"Some of my books fell on me last night while I was organizing my shelves. Which bruised my arm a bit. I am fine. Again dont worry about me." He stated. There was the worry in the his friends' eyes. "It'll heal soon I'm ok I promise." He reiterated. He didn't need March seeing it too. He was still high alert and his senses were going crazy. He wanted to ensure his friends safety.
The shorter two started walking. They were barely in front of the taller male. March wrapped her arm around (Name)'s basically dragging him. Dan Heng followed and out of there corner of his eye he spotted long black hair disappearing into an nearby alleyway. He knew it belonged to as well. A frown appeared on his face.
He heard a creaking sound and reacted quickly by pulling his two friends back into his chest. "Hey what's the big idea!?" March yelled. She was about to go off more until a very old looking sign fell onto the ground. Had he not pulled them back it would've fell on the shorter two. March immediately looked at him wide eyed. "Do you have super powers or something?" She asked.
Dan Heng looked at the building. It was very old and looked abandoned which is probably why the sign fell. "I just have a good intuition. Are you both alright?" He asked letting go of them both. (Name) just looked at the crumbled sign in shock for a moment. "Dan Heng you're amazing for saving us. You're always so reliable!" He said turning to his dark haired friend. His eyes shining in awe.
Dan Heng looked away his face a bit pink. "Let's get you to work and talk about this later. I don't want you being late." He mumbled. March stared at the other. She started plotting in her mind since these two obviously liked each other. They were about to start walking again when a police car pulled over. "Are you three alright?" The cop asked getting out and coming over.
Dan Heng recognized that voice and sighed. "We are fine Jiang Yuan. Do you need a statement from us?" He asked glancing at the other. March looked between the two in surprise. She was shocked Dan Heng new this person at all. He was so anti social she thought he only knew those of their little friend group.
The white haired man shook his head no. "I saw everything that happened so no need as long as you're all fine." He stated with a relaxed smile. Dan Heng gave a quick nod ready to leave. "How do you know Dan Heng?" March asked before they were able to leave.
Jiang Yuan gave a small head tilt and another smile. "I was long time friends with his older brother. How have you been doing by the way? You ignore my messages so much that I worry." He said. Dan Heng sighed. "I'm fine and March before you ask I don't wish to talk about my brother. Now if you'll excuse us we'll be off." He said quickly. Which cause Jiang Yuan to frown a bit.
"I'll talk to you later Jiang Yuan." Dan Heng said as they started walking off towards the library. He should ask the other if there was anyone other than him and Yingxing that knew who Spider-Man was before him. That would help him when dealing with Blade and may lead to the stellaron hunters' fall.
They made it to the library without further delay. After the sign fell Dan Heng's sense stopped sending warning signals. When (Name) was safely in the library he dropped March off where she needed to go. She had tried pestering him to learn information about his brother until dropping it when he said nothing.
When he was alone he pulled his phone out and called Jiang Yuan. Who to his surprise answered immediately. "Dan Heng I didn't think you'd actually talk with me. This is a pleasant surprise. I had gotten off work not that long ago so I can chat for as long as you need." He said in his usual tone. Dan Heng just listened for a bit. "Could we meet up I have some questions involving your old group with Yinyue Jun?" He asked.
"Certainly. Where would you like to meet? I am free for the rest of the day. It sounds serious though. If I may be so bold to ask. Is everything ok?" He answered. "I am unsure at the moment. You know Himiko's coffee shop? Let's meet there." Was the response he got back.
Dan Heng felt himself grow anxious at this meeting. He wondered if he was actually going to get the answers to some of the questions that have been on his mind for awhile. He ordered himself a coffee and sat in the corner of the shop waiting for the other. He had started texting Caelus while waiting.
After 15 minutes Jiang Yuan showed up. He ordered a tea and then came over and sat across Dan Heng. "So what do you need to ask?" He said giving his full attention to the younger male.
Dan Heng sent a quick got to go message to Caelus before putting his phone away. "Did anyone know about my brother's side gig other than you and Yingxing?" He asked. His eyes watched golden ones look surprised. He must've caught the other off guard with his question.
"How did you find out about his side gig? As far as I was aware he kept it a secret from everyone but Yingxing and I." Jiang Yuan said. He placed his arms on the table and rested his face on his palm. He thought that Dan Heng had no clue who he was when they met for the first time. Much less Yingxing.
"I knew cause he messed up and came home bloody. Before his passing I got bit by a spider like him. As I'm sure you're aware from reports the hero is still active." Dan Heng said. Even though they plus Himiko were the only ones in the shop they were still in public. Which made Dan Heng keep things as vague as he could.
Jiang Yuan gave a nod and an understanding look. "Only Yingxing and I knew. Yingxing was the one who made all of his tools and I'd help him stay out of trouble with the law. Your brother didn't trust our other two friends with the information. Even I wasnt given all of the details. Yingxing was the one that every secret was entrusted to and the same goes for vice versa. Anything else you wish to know?" He explained.
He watched the younger male frown and go into a deep thought. Jiang Yuan grabbed his cup and took a sip waiting for the other to process the information. Dan Heng wondered if Jiang Yuan knew of Yingxing's where abouts. "Where is he now?" Dan Heng asked when the older male placed his cup down.
"He's presumably dead. With Yinyue Jun being his murder. Which is why our first meeting was less than Ideal. I had no clue he even had any living relatives after all." Jiang Yuan answered. Dan Heng's stoic expression changed to a perplexed one for a second. "What's the matter?"
"Did my older brother fight a bad guy with red eyes and long hair? He goes by the name Blade." Dan Heng asked. He was trying to make sense how Blade knew his brother's name while he was suited up. Jiang Yuan put a hand to his chin to think for a moment. "That description doesn't fit any of the villains he fought. Why do you ask?" The white haired male tilted his head again.
"I fought him last night and in the middle of battle he called out my brother's name. He laughed like a mad man while lunging at me with cracked sword. It looked as if it had been repaired with gold." Dan Heng explained. Jiang Yuan frowned.
"I wonder if my old friend is still alive. Which would make me more curious about what happened when your brother died. Yingxing had several conditions and was nearing his death bed when your brother started to fall from his title as a hero. Unfortunately I am unable to provide any more details as I dont know them." Jiang Yuan said. He noticed the younger male going back into a deep thought.
"Looks like it's time to permanently change my suit. If I encounter Blade again I'll try taking a picture for you to confirm or deny. I wish to right the wrongs caused by my brother if possible. Would you mind if I worked with you for a bit?" Dan Heng asked. Jiang Yuan agreed happily. He seemed fine with the idea of being relied on.
After the older male left. He spoke with Himiko about them working on a new suit design that fits him better with Welt. She seemed to agree eager to dress him up in different styles. He looked at the time and noticed it was close to his shift so he made his way back to the library. He quickly clocked in for work greeting his coworkers who just got off. He was working the front desk today.
When he arrived to the front desk he was an unhappy Stelle standing at the front desk with her friend Gepard from one of her classes. "Why didn't you tell anyone that you brought an injured super hero home last night? Then you chose not to tell any of us? I only found out because Gepard had seen you with Spider-Man in an alleyway while he was picking something up for his sister." They asked crossing their arms.
"Because you and the other over protective members of our group would scold me. He was injured and I couldn't just leave him to bleed out." (Name) said quietly looking away. "Of course we would." They said with a blank look. He was treating it like it wasn't a big deal.
"That's extremely dangerous (Name). Is that why you've been feeling like someone has been following you? If so you should've told me earlier. What if you became a target." Dan Heng stated as if he had no clue. (Name)'s eyes widened and Gepard had jumped being startled by the dark haired male. The shorter male looked down defeated he definitely didn't want Dan Heng knowing.
"I know but the hero had saved both March and Caelus before. He's not a bad person. Anyways what's done is done. Even if I could go back amd change it I wouldn't. Doesn't matter how angry you all are at me. I gotta clock off." (Name) said quickly getting up.
Stelle and Dan Heng exchanged looks. They gave a nod to the other. Gepard looked confused as if the two had a whole conversation without exchanging any words. "I'll leave it to you then. You better bring him home with you tonight so he's not at risk. Caelus will also be informed." They said turning to leave. They both knew he'd handle it. Seems he wasn't as careful as he thought to not be seen.
(Name) returned holding his head low. He refused to look at Dan Heng. "I don't wanna talk about it." He muttered pulling out one of his text books. He looked defeated. Dan Heng wouldn't admit it but he felt hurt when the other refused to look at him.
"I won't scold you anymore but please be more careful in the future. If Spider-Man puts you in danger I have no clue what I'd do if you got hurt. While it's great you helped him take better care of your own safety ok?" Dan Heng said with a sign. He started scanning books that were recently returned.
"I will thanks Dan Heng." (Name) muttered. Some of the taller male's words had made his heart stutter. It was going to be ok. "Hey Dan Heng would you mind spending the night? I'm honestly paranoid about being alone. Having you with me will put my mind at ease." Though his voice was quiet Dan Heng heard every word perfectly.
Dan Heng smiled thinking about how much he was trusted. He was entering things into the library's data base. "Only if you agree to stop avoiding looking at me." He answered. He glanced at the chair (Name) were sitting in to see his (eye color) eyes looking up at him. His face becoming red as they met the other's ocean blue colored eyes. "I promise I'll stop." He muttered going back to studying.
Dan Heng thought he was cute when he was all pouty like that. He was going to skip his vigilante duties for just one night. It wouldn't hurt anything right? He hoped but his moral obligation was guiltiling him from the inside. He would just go out while the other slept. Couldn't hurt right?

Honest Answer Eddie Munson
Summary: Your best friend Steve Harrington has a party but his usual dealer is out of town, so he asks you to go to the only other dealer he trust who happens to be the person you despise. Eddie Munson. Warning: mention of drugs, swearing, mention of drink there are gonna be 2 parts. MDNI
"This school sucks" you rant to your best friend Steve, "yes it is shit, but we have my party tonight so we have something to be happy about and it's gonna be sick". he assures you while removing his books from his locker and placing them in his bag.
You and Harrington have been friends since middle school and have always been close, you too were practically brother and sister. He's always got your back though anything."yeah well i haven't even picked out a outfit i was gonna just go in jeans and red crop top but i feel its too basic, it's pretty much what i wear on a daily" you sigh walking down to the classroom taking a seat next to Steve. "Well please don't do what u did last time and turn up late after going though 20 different choices to only go decided on the first one" he said making you roll your eyes "look i'm just a girl" you place your hand over your heart you both laugh then turn to face the front. Half way though the class Eddie walks in taking the only seat left right next to you, you turn to look at Steve giving him the annoyed look he knew you hated Eddie.
You didn't always hate him,he used to be sweet, kind, understanding but he changed in the last year. You never understood why he just started been horrible, once you saw that side of him you hated him."why so late Edward Munson". The teacher spoke as she shifted her eyes away from the bored to face him, he shrugged at her question "well detention after school" she spoke turning her head back to teaching everyone in the room Eddie then flopped his head down on his desk. It's not like Eddie not to answer back normally he tries wigging his way out of it yet today he didn't "you okay dude" Steve leaned over your desk Eddie nodded his head in response Harrington sat back in his chair waiting for class to end
2 hours later
You were home trying to pick out a outfit for Steve's party you couldn't decide between the black strapless dress or the red skirt with the matching top,you was stood there trying to choose one for longer than 10 minutes till eventually you choose the black strapless dress, you matched everything up to it your hair was in curls and your makeup was a smokey eye look and you went with a leather jacket. Soon as all that was done you set off to Steve's .
Once you arrive at the party it was already full of people Cheerleaders, the Basket ball team pretty much everyone from Hawking high you weren't really expecting this many people but then again Steve was a popular guy i mean how else would he get the name the king of hawking high."hey your finally here"he rushes over to greeting you with a hug. "Yeah sorry". You shout over the music playing from each end of the room from the expensive speakers."i need a favour you know how you owe me for getting you that movie for free from the video store for your date?", he half yells at the top of the music "yeah i remember that date it went horrible he ended up having a girlfriend the dickhead" you stated, "yeah well we are running out of weed ,my dealer in out of town and the only other dealer is..." you cut him off immediately, "ABSOLUTELY NOT NO.." he stops you from reacting. "Please you know i wouldn't ask but Eddie is the only other person that sells weed cheap and he is down the road most people are drinking i have to stay here and robin is finally getting somewhere with Vicky " he pleaded. You sigh rolling your eyes back "Fucking hell fine where's the money " Steve then points to the draw and leaves you to go stop someone from breaking the vase,You then leave the party hoping in your car and beginning to drive over to the Munson's trailer in Forest Hills trailer park .
Ones you arrive you debate on just turning back and going home but you did owe your best friend a favour. So you went and knocked on the trailer and about 3 seconds later the door swings open, "oh it's you" the long haired brunette stood in front of you in no clothing but grey joggers, his body on show, exposing his tattoo's that you have never seen before, his hair soaked from the shower water. "I..I just came for Steve's weed for his party he should of told you it was me coming" you rubbed the back of you head trying to shake the view of Eddie's perfectly shaped body out your head "come in I'll grab the bag", you nod walking into the room. Your eyes circle the room it's different to what you imagined. "I want money first never know what girls like u are like" he commands, "girls like me?" baffled about what Eddie just said, "i mean girls like you would do anything for there boyfriends even steal" he replied you look at him annoyed with his response. "Whatever Eddie you really know how to be a dick" you pass him the money as he hands you the bag. "Just get out I've seen your face enough today ". So you do exactly that you step out the trailer but just before the door shuts "wait Eddie" you speak "what?" he reacted to you "why" you stutter "why do you hate me please give me a honest answer please cause i really don't know why" you add "I don.." you cut him off "don't say you don't cause it's clear you do i mean don't think i haven't heard what you say around school, so please don't lie you, just stopped talking to me you blocked my number you dogged me eds and i never knew why" you tear up as you are speaking your words the tears making you stutter, You don't know why it was happening or why it was all coming out but it did and you wanted to know the truth" he glared at you he could hear the pain in your voice he never meant to hurt you like that he never meant to hurt you at all. "i...

I maybe be a day late (Got caught up in quite a few things...) BUT I, have a story to tell 😌
*Insert the ENTIRE DotD transcript below cut*(I wasn't gonna type all of it so have the transcript.)
(The Yin-Yang Eclipse appears onscreen before transitioning to the Sea of Sand.)
Kai: (Lands his bike off the hill) Move, move, move. We're running out of time. Pick up the pace.
Cole: Yes, ninja. It's up to us to save the day... (lands his roadster off the hill) again.
Nya: Roger that, Kai. Zane, do you have a read?
Zane: ETA too late, unless we break all speed limits. Increase velocity.
P.I.X.A.L.: Already on it.
Wu: (comes on Lloyd's screen intercom) Ninja, I have reached the rendezvous point. Where are you?
Lloyd: The museum is still 5 clicks away. We're on our way.
Jay: (flies by in his Jet) Look out, kids. Jay to save the day. Hey, race you there, Lloyd.
Lloyd: I still don't understand how you got the Supersonic Raider Jet.
Jay: Uh, because I called dibs. Guy who calls dibs first gets it, right, Cole? (Cole drifts off in his vehicle) Right, Cole? Cole?! Let me go get him! He's drifting off again! (turns around his jet)
Cole: (Fidgeting with controls, terrified, his hands ghosting through them) No. No. Come back. Come... No. (vehicle drifts up a mountain and nearly hits Jay)
Jay: Cole! Look out!
Cole: Oh. Uh. Oh. (lands) S-sorry, Jay.
Jay: Whew. I know you're a ghost, but I'm still in the living world, and I'd kinda like to keep it that way.
Wu: Ninja, time is of the essence.
Cole: He's right. Engage.
Lloyd: We have one last shot if we wanna make it. Combine for maximum impact.
(Team combines their vehicles except Cole and Zane's.)
Kai: (attaches his bike to the left side of Lloyd's) Locked.
Nya: (attaches her bike to the right side of Lloyd's) Loaded.
Jay: (attaches jet to the top) And jet speed, reporting for duty sir.
(The different Ninja vehicles all transform into Ultra Stealth Raider.)
Lloyd: Fire all engines.
(The ninja race off in their vehicles towards Ninjago City. They arrive at the museum.)
Jay: (Panting) Master Wu, are we too late?
Wu: There may yet be time. (points towards eclipse)
Ninja: Ninja, go.
(The ninja all Spinjitzu into the museum.)
(The ninja head out the gift shop)
Jay: (laughing) Mission accomplished.
Lloyd: Yeah, good thing we got to the gift shop before it closed.
Zane: Yes, a Day of the Departed celebration is incomplete without a Day of the Departed lantern.
Nya: Oh, this is my favorite holiday. I love all the lights.
Kai: And the costumes. (gestures toward kids who just finished trick-or-treating)
Jay: And the candy. Hit me, kid.
(One with a pilot costume tosses Jay a piece of white candy into his mouth)
Jay: Mmm. Best day of the year.
Wu: Yes, enjoy the fun and festivities, but never lose sight of the true meaning of the Day of the Departed. Today is about remembrance. We light lanterns to remember our ancestors, and to settle our debts.
Jay: Yeah, got it, got it. Lanterns, ancestors, debts, but candy too, right?
(a man in a red suit with a rather long mustache comes to greet the ninja)
Dr. Saunders: The ninja. The Master Wu.
Wu: Dr. Saunders.
Saunders: Oh, please. We are all friends. You must call me by my first name, yes? Sander, yes?
Kai: (whispers to Nya) Dr. Sander Saunders?
Saunders: At your service. (chuckles) I am so pleased to be seeing you at this now. We are opening our new exhibit. Come. You see, come. (Walks to the entrance to the hall) Might I be presenting the Hall of Villainy.
All: Wow.
Saunders: Cryptor.
Zane: A plastic mannequin.
Saunders: Kozu.
Lloyd: Uncanny.
Saunders: Chen.
Nya: Memories.
Saunders: Samukai.
Jay: Is he looking at me?
Wu: Maybe from the past.
Saunders: And Morro. Checking this out! We don't just open on Day of Departed. It's Day of Departed lunar eclipse. A special eclipse.
Wu: The rarest Yin-Yang eclipse.
Saunders: Oh, poetic, is it not? Scary holiday, scary exhibit, scary moon, (Voice changes) There is magic in the air. (Normal voice) Boogily-boogily!
Kai: (looks around) It's... every villain we've ever faced.
Cole: (walks over to Master Yang's portrait) Not every villain.
Saunders: No, there are many more to unpack. Overlord, Golden Master. All the ones who tried to destroy you. Exciting.
Jay: Uh... yeah, exciting.
Saunders: As we proceed further on the tour you can...
Cole: (looking at Yang's picture) "Although known to some as the master without a student, Kodokuna Yang will be remembered by most as the creator of Airjitzu, the most powerful martial art in history." Huh. Actually, I remember Yang as the guy who turned me into a ghost. (Looks at the relic encased in clear material) Hey, uh, Dr. Saunders? What's the story on this thing? (his hand ghosts through the clear material) Hello? Dr. Saunders? Anyone?
(Team notices the relic encased in the clear box)
Nya: Look at that. Cool.
Saunders: Ah, you have a good eye, Nya.
Cole: Her? I'm the one who spotted...(Saunders and the ninja walk through as if he wasn't there) Uh, hey, watch it. You guys are walking right through me!
Saunders: (Describes to the ninja what the relic is) The Yin Blade belonged to Master Yang. It is said to possess much dark magic.
Cole: They don't hear me, o-or see me. It's like I don't exist anymore. And it's all your fault! (Points angrily towards Yang)
Yang: Cole. Come. Come.
Cole: (To the ninja) Uh....tell me you heard that.
Yang: Come, Cole…
Saunders: ...which is why it is sealed in this case made of Clearstone, the hardest substance known to human. Impenetrable by any living being.
Yang: Cole.
Cole: Yang.
Yang: Close the circle.
Cole: Close the circle?
Yang: Close the circle...
Cole: Close the circle.
Cole: (Gasps, waking up from the trance) Huh. (looks out window to see the ninja outside)
Wu: Thank you so much for such an informative tour, Dr. Saunders. (they both shake hands) ninja, at the eclipse's peak we will return here, for the concert. But first, we must go forth and honor those we have lost. Those who have departed.
Cole: They don't realize I'm gone. Maybe...I'm departed. (echoes)
Kai: See you guys soon.
Nya: Happy Day of the Departed, everyone.
(The ninja each go in separate directions.)
Wu: (Voice-over; Lloyd and Misako release a lantern in the Corridor of Elders) We honor our ancestors. Because if we never look to the past, we cannot envision the future. (Inside Four Weapons, Nya holds a lantern for Kai to light with his Fire before they turn to gaze at a picture of their parents. Meanwhile, in the Birchwood Forest; Zane places his lantern in one of the hands of his father's statue before covering it in a layer of ice, making it shine) On the Day of the Departed, we pause to remember those we've lost. (Jay, Ed, and Edna look through a photo album outside their trailer) And enjoy our time with those we are still fortunate to have. (Onscreen; in the remains of the Monastery of Spinjitzu) I raise this cup of remembrance tea to you, Father. We never forget.
(Cole is shown driving towards the Temple of Airjitzu.)
(The Royal Blacksmiths wait in the city's stage.)
Lou: Cole. Cole, where are you? My son was gonna meet me before the show to light a lantern. (They start to sing.)
Royal Blacksmiths: Gave you your voice. Gave you your song. Put music in your heart. Now my heart is gone. To pieces. Pieces, pieces. Pieces, pieces. (Dareth walks in.)
Dareth: Hey, guys? Hey, listen. (They keep singing.) Guys? Guys. Guys! Stop it! (They stop.) Ah, kids. Always letting you down. That's why I don't have 'em. Not cause Gayle keeps turning down my marriage proposals, even though I'd make an excellent provider. Ahem, anyway. It's a good thing your manager is here to help you focus on the important things.
Lou: What's more important than family?
Dareth: A paying gig for a festival audience. (He grabs a microphone.) Have a good show, boys. (He goes on stage.) Hello, Ninjago. Hey, look at you. Look at that once-in-a-lifetime lunar eclipse. It's really happening. How about a warm Day of the Departed greeting for the Royal Blacksmiths! (The crowd cheers. The band arrives on stage.)
Royal Blacksmiths: Be my Day of the Departed baby. Cold and spooky-hearted love. Still, my love for her is off the chart-ed.
Ronin: (He watched the quartet.) Everyone's here, so no one's home. Time for a little scrap-hunting. (He leaves.)
(Cole arrives at the Temple of Airjitzu.)
Cole: All right, Yang. Show yourself. You hear me? Show yourself.
Yang: You received my message.
Cole: I got it, all right. And I've got one for you. It's direct from the business end of your own weapon. (He pulls out the relic.)
Yang: (Gasps.) The Yin Blade. But how? It's encased in solid Clearstone. That case is impenetrable.
Cole: Not to a ghost. Which, thanks to you, I still am.
Yang: What are you going to do?
Cole: There's magic in the air. You know, eclipse and all?
Yang: Please, where is your holiday spirit? It's the Day of the Departed.
Cole: Uh-huh. And I'm settling my debt. (He charges at him, but he dodges. Cole breaks a vase instead, and Yang laughs.) What? What's so funny?
Yang: This. That. All of it.
Cole: What's happening?
Yang: My plan. (The spirits from the vase leaves the temple and possesses mannequins in the Hall of Villainy. Kozu starts to talk in his own language.) You never should have played with dark magic, boy. This Day of the Departed will be remembered as my Night of the Return. The Yin Blade, if you please.
Cole: Yeah, I don't think so.
Yang: I do.
Cole: (He turns around and sees that he is surrounded by Yang's students.) What? (They handcuff him and bring Yang the Blade.)
(The villains take control of the mannequins.)
Morro: Huh?
Samukai: Huh, Who-Who are you?
Morro: I should ask you the same thing.
Samukai: I am Samukai, Skulkin general, fearsome master of the ax.
Kozu: Ha! Fearsome? You call that fearsome? (He slices a pillar with an Elemental Blade.) This is fearsome! I am Kozu, destroyer of all foolish enough to challenge me.
Cryptor: Yeah, so how did you do against a guy who destroyed you?
Chen: But what has brought us back? Oh! Buttons, buttons, buttons! (He presses one, causing his chair to inflate. He then pressed another one, bringing it down. He then pressed another one, sending fortune cookies flying out of it. He then pressed another one, causing two mechanical legs to come out from underneath his chair.) Oh. Brake? No. Brake? No! (He crashes.) I'm all right! (He crashes again.) Still all right.
Samukai: What is going on here?
Cryptor: Well, the skinny man in the silky girl robes can't control his chair. And—
Samukai: No, I mean with us.
Morro: (He points to Yang's portrait.) Perhaps he can explain.
Chen: Still all right.
Yang: (He takes control of his portrait.) My magic has brought you back from the Departed Realm to Ninjago, but you can only remain for the duration of the eclipse. Unless...
Chen: Unless?
Yang: Unless you destroy the ninja who destroyed you. Use your Departed Blades, and you will take their place among the living.
Pythor: (He comes in reading a map.) Hall of Villainy? More like, Hall of Empty-ny. (He sees his mannequin.) Oh. Nice. (He takes his Anacondrai Staff.)
Yang: The ninja are dispersed around Ninjago, and you will have revenge. (The villains cheer.)
Pythor: Did someone say revenge? I want in. Ah, Cryptor, my loyal friend. (Chuckles.) Chen.
Chen: Pythor.
Kozu: Oh, frosty.
Yang: You must each choose a ninja and—
Samukai: I call Zane.
Cryptor: No! He's my clone.
Pythor: Technically, you're his clone.
Chen: The Blacksmiths’ brats are mine.
Pythor: How come you get two?
(Everyone starts to argue.)
Yang: Silence! Time is wasting, and I've got my own thing going on. So work it out! (He leaves.)
Chen: I have a score to settle with Nya, so she's mine. Her brother too.
Pythor: Lloyd, I destroyed the father. Well, more or less. It's finally time to destroy the son.
Cryptor: I'll take Zane.
Morro: Master Wu. We left things...unfinished. I will settle our debt, once and for all.
Samukai: (He groans and turns to Kozu.) That only leaves Jay. One ninja, but two of us. Okay, rock, paper, scissors. One, two, three. One, two, three. (Kozu walks away.) It doesn't seem to work.
Kozu: (He sees Dareth.) I want him.
Samukai: Yes.
Pythor: Then it's settled. Although, the ninja won't go easily. Perhaps we could use some help?
Cryptor: (He reads the map.) The Hall of Sidekicks.
Pythor: (Laughs.) Convenient, is it not?
(Yang's students surround Cole.)
Cole: So guys, what say you help me out? You know, student-to-ninja? Hello? Look, I know Yang's your master, but how can you be on his side?
Yang: Your pleas are useless. My students, well, they're loyal to no one but me.
Cole: Come on, guys. Yang is like the definition of evil.
Yang: Actually, "Yang" means "good". But I always did aspire for great. I dedicated my life to the study of the martial arts. I mastered them all, and even created my own. Airjitzu was my first achievement, but it was nothing compared to what I would discover next. My research revealed the location of the Yin Blade, a weapon whose magic was so powerful, it was said to hold the key to eternal life. Control that magic and I'd be forever remembered as Ninjago's greatest master. Immortality was so near. It was time for the ultimate test... myself. But something went...wrong. So while I will live forever, it is only as a ghost. Cursed to haunt this once-proud temple as Master of the House. Never able to return. Until tonight, thanks to you.
Cole: Thanks to me? How?
Yang: You said it yourself. There's magic in the air. On the Day of the Departed, when there's a Yin-Yang lunar eclipse, the Yin Blade can cut the Rift of Return. So thank you for this.
Cole: You're not welcome. And you won't get away with it. I'm supposed to meet my friends soon. When they see I'm missing, they'll come for me.
Yang: See you're missing? Ha! Look at you. You can barely see yourself. (Cole groans.) Besides, you've caused quite a few problems for your friends.
(Kai and Nya celebrate the holiday in Four Weapons Blacksmith.)
Nya: It feels strange being back in our parents' shop after all this time.
Kai: Nya? Do you think we'll ever find out what actually happened to them?
Chen: I could tell you. But you have bigger things to worry about.
Nya: Chen?
Kai: (He grabs two swords and hands one to Nya.) I don't know how you're back, but it's two against one.
Chen: Is it? (He reveals the Anacondrai Cultists have also been resurrected.) Goodbye, ninja. (He presses a button. His chair starts to punch him. He presses another button, causing carnival music to play. He presses another button that plays disco music.) Nope. Hmm. Uh, almost. Ah. Found it. Yes. (He activates the weapons.) Doodle pep, ninja.
(Zane celebrates the holiday in Birchwood Forest. A statue he made of his father crumbles.)
Cryptor: Oops. Did I hurt your dear old dad? Or should I say our dad?
(Jay is with his parents at the junkyard.)
Ed: Uh, Edna, dear, is that crumb cake ready? Jay's starving.
Jay: I'm fine, Dad.
Ed: I know, son, but I love your mother's crumb cake.
Samukai: (He walks out the trailer while Edna is being held hostage.) Guess who's back?
(Lloyd and Misako visits the Corridor of Elders.)
Lloyd: I know Dad's gone, but sometimes it's like he's still with me. (They see someone behind a boulder.) Pythor?
Pythor: When we last met, I decided to help you and your father, Garmadon, defeat Chen. Do you remember why?
Lloyd: You said something about how if anyone was going to take over the world, you'd rather it be you.
Pythor: Precisely. Time to finish the job.
(Wu is back at the Monastery of Spinjitzu.)
Wu: An eclipse is always an omen, but is this one a sign of good...or bad?
Morro: (He goes up behind him.) Bad. Very bad.
(Cole watches as Yang shows him the events.)
Cole: My friends. What have you done?
Yang: No, Cole, what have you done?
Cole: How? How could I steal the Yin Blade and release all those ghosts?
Yang: You were scared you were departing and that your friends had forgotten you. So I took advantage of your fragile mental state to trick you. Oh, oh, you weren't literally asking, were you? Give up, Cole. You're by yourself. There's no one to help you. Now, excuse me, I have a rift to open. Watch him, just in case. (He leaves while his students watches him.)
Cole: All by myself. Hm.
(Pythor slithers closer to the two.)
Misako: Pythor, what are you doing?
Pythor: Giving the kid a one-way ticket to join his daddy.
Lloyd: Sorry, I don't really feel like going on a vacation.
Pythor: But it's a holiday. Respect your elders. (He throws his staff at a statue. The head starts to fall.)
Misako: Lloyd! (Lloyd carries the head.)
(Chen presses more buttons.)
Chen: Who designed this thing?
Kai: Raider bikes. (They get on their bikes. Kai falls off his and lands in front of Chen.)
Chen: (He laughs and presses more buttons.) Oh, good. Better. Best. (Nya saves him before he can fire.)
(Cryptor brought more Nindroid Warriors with him.)
Cryptor: Escape is futile, Zane. You and I share programming. I know your every move before you even make it.
Zane: Even this one? (He Airjitzus into a tree.)
Cryptor: If you know it, I know it. Enjoy the Departed Realm. And say hi to dear old Dad.
(Wu realizes it's Morro that's behind him.)
Wu: Well, my former student. How have you returned, Morro?
Morro: The question is not how, but why.
(Cole tries to talk to one of the students.)
Cole: So I didn't get your name. (He doesn't talk.) Okay, I'll just call you "Chuck." Look, Chuck, I know you think you're Yang's student, and maybe you were once, but now you're his prisoner. Don't you see? He's not your friend. He's your captor. You gotta shake off his spell. Then, we can stop him. Together. You and me. (He doesn't talk.) Okay, no pressure, but you have three seconds to decide. One, two, three. (He jumps and kicks Chuck.) Guess I'm working solo, Chuck.
(Jay prevents his father from going after Samukai.)
Ed: Don't you worry, Edna. I'll take care of those piles of bones.
Edna: Oh, now, Ed, be careful. Dr. Berkman says not to strain.
Jay: I got this, Dad. Lightning! (He shocks Samukai's sidekicks.) I have no idea what you want with my parents.
Samukai: It's not your parents I want, Jay. It's you! (He throws Edna to Ed. He and Jay start fighting.)
Ed: Feisty. He's his mother's son. (Krazi and Frakjaw stand by the two and watch the fight.)
Samukai: Fools. Don't just stand there. Grab them. Then he won't fight me.
Jay: No!
Samukai: Oh, yes! (He trips Jay.)
(The Royal Blacksmiths continue singing.)
Royal Blacksmiths: Be mine. Day of the Departed baby. Cold and spooky-hearted love.
Dareth: Royal Blacksmiths, everybody. Aren't they fantastic? Hey, speaking of fantastic, it's my duty as manager to remind you that there's fantastic merch available in the gift shop. Hats, CDs, mugs. Show you're a real fan. Now, before my boys continue, I just want to say thank you for coming and getting into the spirit of the night. Look at those costumes. Funny clowns and aliens and astronauts. Wow, those Stone Warriors. (Kozu speaks in his language.) So realistic.
Kozu: Revenge will be mine!
Dareth: Well, normally my guys don't take requests, but it is a special occasion. Boys?
Royal Blacksmiths: Revenge Will Be Mine. And you know I'm feeling fine. 'Cause my girl's coming. (The warriors jump on stage.)
Dareth: Hey, that's no costume. (He runs.) Can we at least talk about it?
Kozu: Revenge!
Dareth: Okay, we're talking. (He runs toward the museum.)
Kozu: Destruction!
Dareth: Talking is good!
Kozu: Crazy!
(Dareth screams)
(Cole tries to find his way around the temple.)
Cole: Yes! No. (He comes across more students.) Hey. So any chance you wanna tell me where Yang is opening that rift? (They grab weapons.) So...that's a no? Whoa, let's not be hasty. This isn't a fair fight. I'm handcuffed. (One of them broke the cuffs.) Ah! Oh. So you might want a few more guys. (He disarms and defeats them.) Okay, sports fans, the score is Cole: 3, evil possessed students: 0.
Yang: Hurry up. I haven't got 3000 years. (Cole goes the opposite direction before he notices. He comes across some of his students.)
Cole: Okay, Cole, it's showtime.
Yang: Deal with him.
Cole: (He defeats the students.) Maybe I can do this myself. Whew! I'm coming for you, Yang. It's over. You don't have any more students. You're all alone.
Yang: Oh, I am not alone. Not at all. (More students appear.)
Cole: What's the matter, Yang? Too afraid to take me on by yourself?
Yang: Too busy. The eclipse is beginning to fade, Cole. Just like you. Take him. (They start to fight.)
(Wu wields his staff.)
Wu: We have fought twice before. And although it pains me, I will do so again if I must.
Morro: No, you misunderstand. I'm not here to fight you. I'm here to warn you. Master Yang has put your team in terrible danger.
Wu: What has Yang done?
Morro: He's made you forget one of your own, one who was already slipping away.
Wu: Tell me more.
Morro: I will, but aboard the Bounty. We have to warn the others.
(Kai now rides with Nya on her bike. They try to escape Chen and his Cultists.)
Nya: Duck! (Kai ducks, and Zugu hits a tree and is forced out of his mannequin.)
Kai: This is my stop. Ninja, go! (He uses Spinjitzu.)
(Misako confronts Pythor while Lloyd tries to hold the statue.)
Lloyd: Can't...hold...on.
Misako: Yes, you can.
Pythor: Fool! You continually underestimate me. You're so like your father.
Misako: He's right, Lloyd. You're brave and noble and—
Lloyd: And a master of Spinjitzu. You are still with me, Dad. Ninja, go! (He uses Spinjitzu to free himself.)
(Yang gets on the temple's roof.)
Yang: Good to see you, rare eclipse. Now help me to finally open up the rift.
Cole: All right, guys, time to take a break. Or not. (They fight again.)
Yang: Open the rift. Set me free.
Cole: Okay, okay, how about that break? (The students get back up and fight again.) You guys are more tiresome than Jay!
Yang: Yes. It is working.
(Samukai towers over Jay.)
Samukai: For what it's worth, this isn't personal, Jay.
Jay: It kind of feels like it is, Samukai.
Samukai: It's only so I can return. I promise that as soon as this is over, I'll release your parents.
Ronin: I'm on that one. (He appears with his Salvage M.E.C. and frees Jay's parents. He kicks Samukai.)
Jay: Ronin. Thanks for coming.
Ronin: Yeah, I came to help. I definitely didn't think your folks would be at the concert so I could, um...borrow...some free scrap metal for my mech.
Jay: What?
Ronin: Um, nothing. You're all clear, kid. Finish them.
(Zane tries to escape the Nindroids.)
P.I.X.A.L.: Zane, they have flight capability. It appears you have miscalculated.
Zane: No, I didn't. (He destroys their jetpacks.)
(Lloyd and Misako jump on the statues. Pythor attempts to push her off, but Lloyd stopped him, giving her enough time to pull herself off. Meanwhile, Dareth roams the museum.)
Dareth: Helmet of Shadows, where are you? You control the Stone Warriors, so I can control the Stone Warriors. (The warriors find him and begin chasing him.)
(Yang watches as the rift opens.)
Yang: Ah, here it comes.
Cole: Ugh, they just keep coming. I can't do this much longer. One last time. Ninja, go! (He uses Spinjitzu.)
(Nya gets off her bike and confronts Chen with Kai.)
Chen: Fair fight. I win. (He fires a missile, but Nya repels it with Water.) Unfair. (He gets hit with the missile and is forced out of his mannequin.)
(Ronin chases the Skulkin. Jay releases a giant magnet and crushes Krazi and Frakjaw.)
Jay: Old foe, new trick. Watch me, Samukai. (He shocks him.)
(Cryptor starts to attack Zane.)
Cryptor: I know your every move. I know how you hit. I know how you will kick. And I know you never give up.
Zane: Then I give up. (Cryptor attacks him, but falls and is forced out of his mannequin-)
(Lloyd and Misako outnumber Pythor.)
Misako: Time for you to call it quits.
Pythor: No, just time for a spectacular exit. (He jumps off of the statue.)
Lloyd: Think he's gone for good?
Misako: I hope so, but Pythor is as much cat as he is snake. He has nine lives.
Pythor: (Groans.) Next time I'll take my own advice and bring some sidekicks.
(Jay eats one of his mother's crumb cakes.)
Jay: Mm. Mm. Great crumb cake, Mom.
Ronin: Happy Day of the Departed, guys. Oh, and thank you for the bag of scrap.
Ed: All you had to do was ask.
(Dareth crawls toward the Helmet.)
Dareth: Helmet of Shadows. I found it. Security, eighty-six this guy.
Kozu: (The army grabs Kozu and rams him against a wall.) No, no. Release me.
Saunders: My museum! What have you done?
Dareth: (Nervously laughs.) Sorry.
(Cole defeats all but one student.)
Cole: Don't make me hurt you too. (The student runs away. Cole replaces his broken staff with his sword and goes out the window.) Stop it, Yang.
Yang: Freedom. Return. It's all mine.
Cole: No! You...are not going...anywhere! (He Airjitzus after him. He grabs him and they both fall back on the temple's roof.)
(Jay makes it to the museum, where the other ninja are waiting for him.)
Jay: Guys, I have the ghost story to end all ghost stories. You will never guess what just happened.
Kai: You battled the possessed mannequin of a mortal enemy?
Nya: Him and his goons tried to send you to the Departed Realm with magic blades?
Zane: But you defeated them first.
Lloyd: And saw their ghosts disappear into the night.
Jay: Oh, okay, fine. You guessed. Well, since you know so much, why were all those ghosts out here?
Wu: (He approaches them.) Because distracting you was part of Master Yang's plan.
Morro: And he had help.
Lloyd: (The ninja arm themselves.) Morro.
Jay: Any other villains want to show up tonight?
Kai: We've stopped five, what's one more?
Wu: No. Put away your weapons. He's here to help. Morro, tell them.
Morro: Yang tricked Cole into helping him open a rift to return to Ninjago.
Jay: Cole? How'd he trick you?
Zane: Jay, Cole isn't here.
Jay: Are you sure? He's been fading a lot lately. He's kind of easy to miss.
All ninja: (Gasp.) We forgot Cole!
Wu: To the Bounty. They must be at the Temple of the Airjitzu Master. Thank you, Morro.
Morro: Happy Day of the Departed, Master.
(Morro returns to his pedestal and he poses. His spirit leaves the statue and goes back to the Departed Realm.)
(Cole walks toward Yang.)
Yang: Just give up already.
Cole: No. I'm keeping you here until the eclipse ends and the rift closes. Your evil will never return to Ninjago. (They clash their weapons.)
Yang: What are you even fighting for? Your friends have abandoned you. (Laughs.) Your master has abandoned you. You are all alone.
Cole: No! (Yang destroys his sword.) Can't...go on...alone.
Yang: Yes. Yield. Soon I will be gone, but you will remain forever Departed, destined to haunt this temple forever as the new Master of the House. (Laughs.)
Cole: I'm...fading away.
Yang: Just one more lonely ghost. Not a friend in the world.
Nya: Cole!
Cole: Huh?
Yang: What? Who's that?
Cole: My friends. (He stops fading and kicks Yang.) Ghost or not, I'm gonna do what I came here to do, Yang.
Kai: We have to help him.
Nya: I can't bring it any closer. The wind's still too strong.
Cole: And you're wrong. I'm not the one who's alone. You are.
Yang: No. I have my family. (He points to his students.)
Cole: No, you have prisoners. That's not family. That's captivity. (He punches Yang.) Whoa, I feel...different. Like, like, I can punch through...anything. (He destroys the Yin Blade. The students return to normal, but are still ghosts.)
Yang: No. No! You broke my spell!
Cole: The rift! If you hurry, you can be free of this place forever! (The students uses Airjitzu and enter the rift. They cheer as they become mortal again.)
Wu: The rift is almost closed.
Yang: My...my students. Leaving me. I...I failed.
Cole: Yeah, you did.
Yang: I always fail.
Cole: Yeah, you—Wait, what?
Yang: I dedicated my life to studying the martial arts. Alone. I got arrogant, I wanted to live forever.
Cole: Why? No one lives forever.
Yang: Because I knew the day I was gone, no one would remember me.
Cole: All of this was so you wouldn't be forgotten?
Jay: What is he doing? Is-is he talking to Yang?
Wu: The rift cannot be opened again until the next Yin-Yang eclipse.
Zane: Which, according to my calculations, won't happen for 3,721 years.
Kai: Cole, the rift! You gotta pass through the rift!
Yang: You must think I'm a fool for having such a petty desire.
Cole: No, I get it. Believe me, I get it. I know what it's like to feel forgotten. Alone. It-it hurts. But Master Yang, you are already gonna be remembered forever.
Yang: Me? How?
Cole: You created Airjitzu.
Jay: Cole! It's now or never!
Cole: Now come on, there's still time to go through. Both of us.
Yang: No, I'm afraid that's impossible. The curse of the Temple requires that at least one ghost remained behind as Master of the House.
Cole: One of us has to stay here?
Yang: It must be this way.
Cole: Hey! What are you doing?
Yang: Settling my debt. (He launches the screaming Cole through the closing rift. The rift closes and the wind becomes stronger.)
Wu: Brace yourselves. It's going to be a hard landing. (The ninja land and get off the ship.)
Misako: Is everyone all right?
Zane: Nothing that tightening a few screws can't fix.
Lloyd: I'm okay, but where's Cole?
Jay: Oh, no!
Nya: Did he make it?
Jay: He was too late. He's gone forever. I'd give anything to have him back.
Cole: (off-screen) Anything?
Jay: Anything.
Cole: (He jumps from behind a boulder, a human again.) Even the Sonic Raider Jet?
All ninja: Cole! (They embrace him.)
Jay: You're back!
Lloyd: You're not a ghost anymore.
Nya: You look good as new.
Cole: Ah. Pretty much. Thank you, Nya.
Kai: Speaking of good as new...(He points to the temple.)
Wu: (Sighs.) The Temple of the Airjitzu Master has been returned to its original condition.
Zane: It's beautiful.
Cole: You know, that would be a pretty cool place for a ninja to train.
(The team gathers around a campfire with their friends and families.)
Cole: Whoa. And was I right or was I right?
Jay: (Sighs.) Yes, you were right. Are you going to retell this story every Day of the Departed from now on?
Cole: Only until you admit that you didn't want to move in because you were scared it's still haunted. (Everyone laughs.)
Jay: I wasn't scared. I was cautious. Okay fine, I was scared. And wrong. There's no more ghosts here.
Cole: Nope. No ghosts. (He and Yang secretly wink at each other.)
Wu: (They release the lanterns.) Happy Day of the Departed.

"Maestro's Home" || Michael Jackson One-Shot
Imagine going to Maestro's home to meet him. When you do, he is intrigued as you are not scared of him. You become fast friends.
Based off my imagine I recently posted, but I changed it a bit to fit the story version lol
It's been a long time since I wrote a one-shot, so I'm sorry if it seems rushed - I didn't know how long was too long and how short was too short LOL
There also shouldn't be any identifiers such as gender or appearance - just simply you :)
You hadn’t been to your hometown in a few years - admittedly a long time. Growing up, you never had many friends and you sometimes would get picked on for things out of your control. You felt like all you could do was travel. You tried not to stay in one place for too long, as wherever you ended up never felt right. One day you arrive in a town called Normal Valley. You had just set up your apartment with the essentials - that being a sofa, a TV, and a bed. Amongst other little knick-knacks you picked up while you had been on the go. You had made the lease only six months. You went to work downtown and suddenly, you got a feel for the people there. They seemed awfully judgemental and terribly, well, normal. As you finish up your shift at the local grocery store, an older woman could see you were new. She probed you for a moment.
“I haven’t seen your face around here before…What’s your name?” She asks.
“Oh, yeah, I’m new…for now. My name is (Y/N),” You say as kindly as you can.
“What brings you to Normal Valley?” She asks you again.
“Oh, you know. Just looking for a change of pace,” You chuckle nervously.
“A change of pace, huh? Well, it sounds like you won’t be sticking around for long,” She says, getting a bit annoyed. Before you could speak again, she continued talking.
“As long as you stay just the way you are, you’ll fit in fine here. Nobody likes a freak…Which reminds me - Don’t go up the hill at the edge of town. That’s where the biggest freak of them all lives,” She says, widening her eyes as she gossiped.
You felt that was quite rude of her to say but you nod.
“Uh, thank you for the tip…,” You say, feigning a pleasant smile. You watch the woman walk away and speak to an older man with white hair and black glasses. He had a hearty laugh. You must have made a face because your next customer spoke up.
“That’s the mayor! Pleasant man, keeps the order around here better than anyone,” He said.
You look at your customer then look back to the mayor. He seemed like anything but pleasant to you.
That night as you lay in bed, you couldn’t stop thinking about ‘the freak’ that lived on top of the hill. You had seen the grand old mansion that rested there but you didn’t think anyone actually lived there. It looked run down and vines encased the whole thing. Someone really lived there? And ‘freak’? Why was he called that? You felt bad as you had been called many names in your time and it was always hard to hear. You sat up and sat on the edge of the mattress. You couldn’t shake the feeling - the feeling of something innately calling your name. You stood up and walked to the window, peeking out of the blinds. You hadn’t noticed that you could see the mansion from your window, but you could. And oddly enough, you could see a light on.
“I guess someone does live there,” You say to yourself outloud.
You grab your hoodie laying nearby and slip your shoes on. You put the hood up and zipper up the zipper. You were trying to look inconspicuous, but you potentially looked a little more like you were up to no good. But, at any rate, you grabbed your keys and left your apartment after locking it. You got in your car and drove to the base of the hill. You parked your car and looked around before you got out. It was around 10 PM and the town was dead. You took a few steps and looked around once more before you began to ascend up the hill. When you got to the top, the hill plateaued. It was foggy and honestly quite a bit spooky. The home was surrounded by a large fenced in yard. The yard had dead grass and tombstones. You couldn’t tell if they were just decoration or not. There was also a gate at the entrance. The gate said:
“SOMEPLACE ELSE”
You weren’t sure what you were going to do. Go forward or turn around and go back home? You pulled your hoodie closer to your body as a chill went up your spine. Then - the gate opened by itself. It let out a loud, rusty, squeak. You look around. There was still no one in sight. But, the decision had been made for you, clearly. The thing that was calling you seemed to be this mansion. It was like it wanted you to be there, too. You step into the gate with a shaky breath. You weren’t sure why, but your feet kept moving. Your feet took you to the front door. And that, too, opened by itself. You blink for a moment.
“I must be out of my damn mind,” You say out loud. Part of you urges you to turn back and go home. But, the other part of you is far too intrigued. You take a deep breath and inhale, close your eyes, and exhale. You then open your eyes and step inside.
You look around. The mansion is even more grand on the inside. Marble pillars and checkered linoleum floors. Tall walls and a picturesque central staircase. You walked straight through and entered into the parlor, as that door was open too. You look around - the moonlight shone bright through the large bay windows.
“H-Hello?” You call out. You don’t get an answer but you hear a loud bang. You don’t necessarily jump but you look quickly over to where the noise had come from. You walk over to a doorway with a black curtain in front of it. You sigh and turn back towards the windows.
“Well, I guess this was a waste of time,” You say.
But, just as you’re about to walk away, something touches your shoulder. You freeze but for a moment before you turn around and are met with a tall, lanky, cape with a skeleton face. You blink. You’re a little scared but mostly just confused. The figure stands there for a moment, almost staring at you. You clear your throat.
“So someone does live here,” You say with a chuckle.
The figure pulls the skeleton face down, revealing that it was a mask. You are met with piercing brown eyes staring you down.
“Did I scare you?” He asks.
“Eh, maybe startled me a little. But, no…I’m fine,” You say with a smile.
“I’m (Y/N). I was told not to come here by the locals. But, I had to see what was going on for myself,” You say.
“Is that so? Come to see the freakshow?” He asks a bit harshly. You shake your head.
“Quite the opposite. I came to see the poor soul that they called ‘the freak’. What should I actually call you?” You ask in a friendly manner.
He pulls the mask down further and furrows his eyebrows at you.
“Maestro. You can call me Maestro,” He says a bit shortly, but he’s intrigued by you now.
"You know, people don't just come here to say a friendly hello to me…,” He says, taking the cape off and laying it down on a chair. He circles around you. You watch him closely.
“It’s late for you townsfolk , isn’t it?” He asks, pacing the floor a bit.
“I guess it is but, erm, I’m not really part of the townsfolk. I’m new around here,” You say a bit nervously.
Maestro stops and looks at you with a bit more of a kinder smile, but still quite mischievous.
“Oh? When did you get here?” He asks, crossing his arms.
“A few days ago. I work at the grocery store. But, I never stay in one place for long,” You say softly, a little sad at your own answer.
Maestro tilts his head a bit.
“Why is that?” He probes your mind once more.
“Well…Truthfully I don’t really have a place to call home. No where has ever felt like home to me,” You say, crossing your arms now.
Maestro looks at you with an even softer face now.
“You're not like the others, either, are you?" He asks, giving you a sincere look.
You look back at him, looking him in the eye.
“I guess you could say that,” You say with a smile.
Maestro opens his arms and looks around.
“You’re welcome to stay here for the night - should you see fit,” He says with a kinder smile.
“Just watch out for my family,” He says with a mischievous laugh. You look at him confused before you hear a growl. You look up and see a werewolf-like creature hanging on the ceiling, staring at you. You look at Maestro.
“They don’t scare me either, you know,” You say matter-of-factly.
Maestro laughs and smiles.
“I think you’ll fit in here just fine, (Y/N),” He says.
“We can be ‘the freaks’ that bothers the normies in town,” You say with a playful smirk.
This makes Maestro laugh again and he nods.
And thus was the start of a beautiful friendship between the two of you - and the rest of Maestro’s family at Someplace Else. After your friendship became stronger, you decided to stay and live with him. Finally, able to call a place home and it feel like home. And when the mayor’s angry mob came to the doorstep in efforts to kick Maestro out of town - you joined in on his hijinks and scared the townspeople as well. You especially enjoyed scaring the older woman who you originally met at the grocery store who called Maestro a freak.
“You’re a freak, too, I knew it!” She shrieks.
“Maybe I am. But you know what? I’m with people I love and people who love me. And yeah, we might be a bunch of weirdos - Yet, we are kinder and more unified than this entire town is!” You proclaim to her, and to all.
Maestro smiles proudly at you. He was very happy to have taken you under his wing but also happy that you were strong enough to stand up for yourself and for him and his family. And with your help, you were all able to stay in town by the vote of the community, after they realized none of you were an actual threat to their town.
#i am so glad to be writing one-shots again tho#i am ready for the next#and i got ideas#i believe maestro has the ability to be soft under all that mischievousness#did i spell that right#idk lol#anyway#enjoy#michael jackson imagines#michael jackson one-shots#michael jackson#michael jackson ghosts#maestro#imagines#one-shots

summoned (pt. 10)
hi everyone! thoughts on God of Music??? I finally listened to it over the weekend (still have to listen to the mini album). Maybe it's just me or maybe i'm just into different music these days, but it was not my cup of tea. it felt too cookie cutter for me? the meaning was sweet and the visuals were vibrant. loved the saturation of the video. naturally they all looked great. and i loved getting to see coups' parts. but overall? i was underwhelmed by the song. shall listen to the whole mini album before i post again. then we'll see. BIPOC rec (been a while since i've done one of these): Portrait of a Thief - Grace D. Li. A book about art, art heists, colonialism of Western museums, experience as children of immigrants. For a debut novel, I was pleasantly impressed. Was a bit disappointed, but overall, a good read.
pairing: woozi x fem!reader/fem!OC
w.c. 3.7k (a bit longer than the past parts, just because I didn't really wanna break these sections up)
part 1 | part 2 | part 3 | part 4 | part 5 | part 6 | part 7 | part 8 | part 9
"You're going to have to talk to them alone," Jihoon says when they pull up to the first house. "Because if it's a demon—"
"Okay, but we need a real game plan now," she says. "Because what are we trying to do?"
Jihoon taps his fingers on the steering wheel. "We obviously know what they're trying to do, but how are they trying to do it? What's the purpose of going through humans and dumping their bodies?"
"My guess was create as much havoc as possible without drawing attention from the angels."
"Confirm it."
She frowns but decides this isn't the hill to die on. She climbs out of the car, but Jihoon quickly leans across the gear shift so he can meet her eye.
"Scream if they try to possess you or kill you."
"And you'll come running?" She slams the door closed. She looks both ways before crossing the street, because dying from a car accident on her way to ask a potential demon what the fuck he's doing is not how she wants to go out.
She glances down at her outfit, realizes who she can pretend to be, and pulls her phone out. Luckily, this is also the bag with her tiny sketchbook in it, so she takes that out too. When she knocks at the door, she has a cover story ready.
The person who opens the door is the person they're looking for: Rhett Palmater, gang member.
Well, ex-gang member. She'd had time to do a brief social media search, scrolling and reading posts prior to his hospital stay. They show an ex-gang member trying to turn his life around. Until he got shot. And wound up in his mother's care.
"Hi, are you Rhett Palmater?"
The man gives her a once over. When his gaze meets hers, she knows. There's a demon in there. His pupils have either dilated so much that they've completely overtaken his irises, or possession changes eye colour. His eyes almost feel hollow.
"I am."
Voice sounds normal enough.
She makes up a name and tells him she's a journalist. "I'm doing a story on gang members who are interested in leaving the gang life. I was just wondering if you would be willing to chat about your story." When he doesn't respond immediately, she adds, "I wouldn't name you, of course. I know you were in the hospital recently."
Rhett gives her a slow once over. This would have been unsettling in and of itself. However, knowing there's a demon possessing this man's soul, she feels even more discomforted. Her mother's words ring in her head.
Stand straight, be powerful. There aren't any other humans with angel-demon blood running through them. She can feel her mother straightening her spine. Don't let them in.
At that last statement from her mother, she thinks of Jihoon. Who she had definitely let into her head, even if it was just to ease her suffering.
"You came alone?" Rhett asks. His eyes go out to the street over her head.
She nods.
The way his lip curls sends a shiver down her spine. "Come in."
Jihoon watches the human disappear into the home. When the door shuts, Jihoon frowns. He is suddenly feeling very antsy about her going in alone. He hesitates, worried about getting caught. Resigned, he gets out and walks across the street. Sneaking around the side of the house, he tries to find a window he can see into.
The first few windows look into a relatively empty living room. They don't seem to be there.
However, he notices a faint smoke trail on the floor, floating out from another doorway. But he can't get too far, because he's met with a gate.
Experience tells him that this gate will be noisy. Experience also tells him that there will likely be a dog on the other side that he'll need to placate. Jihoon soundlessly scales the gate and peers over the edge. Sure enough, there's a dog staring up at him. It's a black dog, medium-sized. Jihoon's bad at differentiating between dog breeds, but black dog and unlikely to maul or attack him are the only things he really needs to know.
The dog is quiet, ears back. Jihoon swears is shaking.
This dog is not going to attack, but it may definitely start barking. Jihoon slides down the other side and squats in front of the dog, one hand out to it.
Jihoon tries to keep his voice gentle and non-threatening. He lets the dog decide whether it wants to come to him or not.
It sniffs him out but recoils so quickly, Jihoon realizes what the dog is smelling.
You know I'm a demon.
"Are you scared of your owner in there?" Jihoon whispers. "He's probably really different from what you remember, hmm?"
Jihoon takes the time to talk to the dog for a while, reassuring it that it will be okay. "I need to check on the person your owner let in. Is that okay?"
The dog doesn't know what he's saying, that's obvious, but Jihoon still thinks he should ask for its consent. When the dog simply watches him as he checks a few more windows, Jihoon has made a decision.
The dog trails after him as he moves along the side of the house. Jihoon peers through every window until he finally finds one he can look through that won't get him caught. The human has her back against the wall, which is probably a smart move; the demon across from her.
They each have a glass of water before them, the human also has a notebook in front of her. He wonders what she's asking, because it seems the demon is doing most of the talking.
Is this demon just laying out the Grand Plan? That would make his life a lot easier if that was the case.
Jihoon feels the dog curl around his feet. It seems to be sleeping; most of the shaking seems to have stopped. He gives the dog a quick pat before straightening up again.
He happens to catch the human's eye. Her gaze darts back to the demon across from her. She nods and jots something down.
Jihoon makes sure the rest of the interaction goes well, and when they start to stand, Jihoon acts on the decision he'd made earlier. He scoops the dog up and hurries to the gate. He launches the dog over the fence, making sure to quickly follow after it. He manages to catch the dog before it hits the ground, and it stares up at him with fearful eyes.
"Sorry, can't scale a gate, race some humans, and carry you. Come on." He sprints across the street, shutting the car door, dog tossed in the back seat, just as the human exits Rhett Palmater's home.
He placates the dog with head pats until she climbs into the car next to him. Her cheeks are red, and her hands are shaking.
"Good?" Jihoon asks. He scans over her, making sure she hasn't been possessed.
"Fine. That was terrifying." She takes a few deep breaths before realizing they aren't alone in the car. "Where did you get a dog?"
"I didn't get a dog. You got a dog."
"Where did you get me a dog?" She twists in her seat and the dog rests its head on the center console between them. When she holds a hand out to it, it nudges its nose against her fingers. She gives it a scratch behind the ears.
"I stole the dog for you."
Her jaw drops. "You stole a dog of an ex-gang member?"
"I stole the dog of an ex-gang member who is now being possessed by a demon for you."
She shakes her head. "This is a lot to process."
"What did you learn? What were you writing in there?"
She relays what had happened from the second she stepped foot into the house. As she does so, she punches in the next patient's address into the GPS.
"How did you even get him to talk about the demon stuff?" Jihoon asks, pulling out of the parking spot. Their new furry acquirement moves to the window and watches the house disappear.
She reaches back a hand to pet the dog. "Why don't you sit and watch the traffic?" she asks the dog. It moves to her side of the car, and she asks Jihoon to crack the window open.
Reluctantly, because he feels stupid for indulging this dog's whims even more, he opens the window a crack.
"Once I got him talking, it was actually pretty easy to ask him anything. What's he going to assume? That I know he's a demon? We started talking about Heaven and Hell. Started talking about the reasons why he wanted to leave the gang. I asked him if it was because he found God."
Jihoon snorts. "What did he say?"
"Started bad-mouthing God, obviously. Asked him if he believed in that kinda stuff. God and the devil and whatnot. He asked me if I really believe the world is so good. I said no, and he went on this passion speech about how the world is tipping to chaos."
"Tipping to chaos," Jihoon echoes.
She nods. "He mentioned that there are servants 'all over the globe'."
"So, it's not isolated here." Jihoon flicks his left turn signal and listens to its rhythmic click as he thinks.
"No, and he also alluded to something big coming. I asked how he knew and if he knew what it was, but he wouldn't speak more on it. Thought I should get out of there before I could show my hand. My questions were getting pretty specific."
Jihoon hums. It was a good call to get out of there. "Something big is coming."
"Yes."
"Nothing in his house to show what that is?"
She shakes her head. "No. He was clearly in the middle of working when I got there."
"Working? On what?"
"No idea." She turns when the dog starts whimpering. "Do you want to come sit here?"
"No, human. He stays back there."
"You can't be allergic to dogs."
"Why can't I be?"
"You're a demon. Does your body even work like a human's?"
"It might."
She rolls her eyes. "Fine." Unbuckling her seatbelt, she grumbles about useless demons. This time, he definitely hears her. Then she's climbing over the gearshift.
"What are you doing?" Jihoon demands. He nudges her butt to help her into the back seat.
"You've kidnapped a terrified dog, and it doesn't even know where we're going or who we are." The dog rests its head in her lap and the whimpering stops. She scratches behind its ears and takes a few deep breaths. "You're going to need a bath when we get home, pup."
"So, the possessed human said that something big is coming, we don't know what."
"Well, let's see if the others will be more forthcoming."
Two of the patients weren't home. Neighbours had told her that one had gotten evicted; the other had moved abroad. Another patient hadn't been seen or heard from in months.
"I called the police, because I was getting worried," The elderly neighbour had said when she'd knocked on their door. "She doesn't have any family members, but I know she was putting herself through school."
She doesn't ask what exactly the elderly woman meant. But she hopes the girl knew that someone was looking out for her.
"We'd made a sort of code. She'd knock on my door in a specific pattern to let me know she was back and safe. I haven't heard the knock in a while, and then she just stopped coming home."
She can guess where the young woman had gone.
She collapses onto her couch. Yawning, she lays onto her side. Both angel and demon are now standing in her living room. Hansol's on his way with a very late dinner. Her new dog, Pup, is curled on the floor next to the couch.
She and Jihoon go back and forth on what it could mean that two of the patients aren't home. They've been at it all day.
"Well, Rhett did say there were servants all over the globe," Jihoon starts.
"You think they've moved to join some sort of cause?"
Seokmin has been watching their conversation volley, impressed at the way they finish each other's thoughts. "Seems you two are getting on well."
She and Jihoon share a look before he begins pacing in front of the TV. She turns to Seokmin. "What did you and Sollie find at Mrs. Han's?"
Before Seokmin can respond, the door opens.
"I've brought food for the supernaturals!" Hansol calls. He joins them in the living room and kneels next to the coffee table. The man has been obsessed with tacos lately for some reason. Despite Jihoon's annoying protests at tacos, she'd told Hansol to buy whatever he was craving.
When he notices Pup on the floor by her feet, Hansol stares a few seconds before saying, "I didn't get any tacos for our new friend."
She scratches Pup behind the ears. Both feel much better now that he's had a bath. "That's okay. We stopped by to grab food for him on the way home."
Hansol doles out the food to his friends, already knowing what they wanted. He looks up at Jihoon. "Figured you'd want something spicy. Being a demon and all." He sets a box on the table with four large Xs on it.
"Does that mean you took all the toppings off?" Jihoon asks as he picks up the box.
She chuckles as she tilts her head to take a bite. "No. It means it's going to literally burn a human mouth."
"Yeah, they triple checked that that is what I asked for on the phone," Hansol says. He falls back on his butt. "I hope it's okay, hyung."
The honorific makes her choke on her taco. "You're going to start being casual with the demon?"
Hansol shrugs. He pulls a tiny piece of meat from his taco and holds it out to Pup. It seems Pup has gotten used to the demon and angel aura, but he clearly prefers the humans. "I need to be nice to the demon, don't I? He can take my soul."
She glances at Jihoon, who is munching quite happily through his first spicy taco. "I don't think this demon wants your soul."
Once everyone's settled and she's brought refreshments to the table, Jihoon asks again what the angel and Hansol found at Mrs. Han's.
"Well, as I was about to say, Hansol said all she had back there was a computer."
"Seokmin hyung got me in through the back alleyway door."
"We were debating just going in there without my distracting her," Seokmin continues. "But I was worried she'd be sat right at the computer."
"Which she was. I caught her leaving just as I pushed the door open. But anyway, while hyung was distracting Mrs. Han, I poked around in the back. There isn't anything back there. It's just a storage room, and she has a computer."
With his mouth full, Jihoon asks what was on the computer.
She waves him off for bad manners, clicking her tongue in annoyance. Jihoon rolls his eyes.
"Well, she was watching a drama."
"Did you click around on the computer?" she asks.
"I snooped, but there didn't seem to be anything of interest on it. But I can't say for sure."
She sighs and turns to Seokmin. "Theories?"
"For the black smoke literally spilling out of her back room? Sollie took photos." He juts his chin in Hansol's direction. "Show them."
"She didn't hear the shutter sound?" she asks, stepping over Pup to sit by Hansol on the floor. Pup scoots forward to rest his head on her leg.
"I downloaded another photo app."
Jihoon moves to stand behind them, careful not to drop any food on the floor in case Pup tries to eat it. "Why?"
"Turning off the shutter sound on the phone's camera is illegal," she explains.
Jihoon's expression can only be described as one of disdain.
"It's made me very aware of people taking creepy pictures of me."
"Then can't everyone do what Hansol did?"
"Sure, but for some reason, they don't."
"Oh-kay," Seokmin butts in. "Hansol, photos."
Hansol holds his phone up so that everyone can see. Then he flicks through very slowly.
"Well, it's obviously coming from the computer," Jihoon states. "Now, I really wish you'd looked at the computer properly."
She swats Jihoon's leg behind her, as she leans against Hansol's arm to get a closer look. "Sol can't see it."
"See what?" Hansol asks.
She gets up, despite Pup's protests, and eases around Jihoon to get to her desk. When she returns, she has a scrap piece of paper and a pencil in hand. She does a very arbitrary sketch of the desk, computer, and the black smoke coming off the computer. "To us, the photo looks like this."
"That's... what all your building drawings look like."
"And that's what we're concerned about," Seokmin explains.
"But those were associated with bodies when we went." Jihoon finishes the last of his taco. He straightens up to look at Seokmin, arms crossed over his chest. "It's not just bodies."
"You guys said that all the people that you spoke to said something big was coming."
"Which we assumed was the Grand Plan."
"It ends in the Final Day. But it's hard to stop it if we don't know how they're doing it."
"Which is the problem."
"So, we've gotten nowhere."
The humans watch them talk before Hansol says, "Well, we're somewhere. You guys thought it was just bodies. We can assume now that it's anything 'bad', and can be attributable to the Grand Plan."
"Attributable," she murmurs, nudging Hansol. "Good word."
Hansol smirks.
"Hansol's right," she says so that the supernaturals can hear. "We know that they're thinking that something else is happening."
Jihoon hums. "Do we know that?"
"Yes." She tips her head back to meet his eye. "Demons have been pretty direct in my knowledge. 'Something big happening' is really vague by demon standards. That suggests that they also don't know what's going on."
Seokmin nods, picking up another taco. "That's a good point. It must be something that the demons can't even fathom."
Jihoon doesn't know why, but he feels offended.
"Could it be possible that Mrs. Han is possessed too? And whatever I took pictures of are just remnants from her having been in the room?" Hansol asks. He looks between Jihoon and Seokmin. "Can demons even possess angels?"
The two supernaturals size each other up.
"Unknown." Jihoon's gaze drops down to Pup, who is looking up at him with begging eyes. "You can't eat this. Steal from Hansol."
Pup wiggles his way between her and Hansol.
She leans back on her hands to look up at Jihoon. "What do you need to possess someone? A vulnerable host, right?"
"Sometimes people just let us possess them." He scowls at her. He actually hates this parasite description.
She either doesn't notice or doesn't care about Jihoon's irritation. She leans against Hansol, deep in thought.
"We can't just ask her, can we?" Hansol asks.
"Who? Mrs. Han?" She shakes her head.
Jihoon looks to Seokmin. He hadn't been paying much attention to whether the older angel did or did not have a soul. "Did you notice Mrs. Han having a soul?"
Seokmin nods, running his hand over his face. "She had one."
"Then it's most likely the computer." She turns to Hansol, making sure not to squish Pup in the process. "Can I see the picture again?"
Hansol hands the phone over to her. She zooms in on the computer screen.
"What are you trying to see?" Seokmin squats down next to her to look over her shoulder.
"Whatever's on her dang screen."
Despite zooming in as much as she can, the icons are still quite blurry. She, Hansol, and Seokmin are able to pick out some of the obvious applications. They go back and forth on a few of them, Seokmin going so far as to looking them up. They're left with 3 that they can't identify.
"Why does this old woman have so many apps?" Jihoon laid down on the couch, Pup snuggling against his side. He gives the dog languid pets and can feel Pup fall asleep again.
Angrily, Hansol ruffles his hair. "I'm just so frustrated that I didn't think to take a picture of the actual computer up close."
"You were panicking." She yawns. "It's fine. But unfortunately, this actually tells us very little."
Jihoon studies his human, notices the way she leans into Seokmin. "Maybe we call it a day." He nods at Seokmin. "For the humans."
Seokmin glances at the time. It's early for either human to be going to bed, but then he notices her eyes closed, now muttering to Hansol about what she needs for a dog.
"We still don't have a plan," Seokmin says to Jihoon as the demon leads them out of the apartment.
The humans trail behind, discussing picnic plans with the others.
"Yeah, I'm down," she yawns. "Just..." She rubs her eyes, yawning so much she feels her jaw crack. "Just set it up. The demon has to come too."
Hansol nods with a smile at Jihoon. "Of course."
Jihoon nudges her towards her room once Hansol and Seokmin leave. "Go sleep. You're tired."
With one eye open, seemingly half her body already asleep, she says, "You're being nice. And taking care of me. It's weird." Pup waits for her by her bedroom door.
"You're no use to me tired. Go. Sleep. Now."

"IronStar"
Chapter 1
"Starlight"
A "Fairy Tail" fanfic
Pairing: Gajeel x fem OC
A/N: A new fic from me for "Fairy Tail", one of my favorite animes ever!! 🥰 My hubby and I have been rewatching the show and I've had it on the brain quite a bit, hence how this came about!
A couple notes: I'm not gonna do what I normally do with my OC fics and try and insert them into canon events cuz...Fairy Tail has a LOT to follow. It's gonna be kind of its own thing with maybe a few couple canon events being referenced (I would say this is probably post Tenrou Island/the seven year time jump) I don't know how long this fic will go, but hopefully for quite a while 😊 I'm just gonna say this right now: I LOVE Gajeel so freaking much 😍😍
Also, the magic my OC uses is all made up by me and might not completely follow any sort of "magic rules" from the show, so I apologize in advance 😅
Otherwise, I hope you all enjoy!! 💜

》 Chapter 2
All chapters
Explanation: A new face arrives in Magnolia in search of Fairy Tail, but not before running into one of its members.
Another beautiful, sunny day shined down on the fair city of Magnolia in the country of Fiore. In the streets strolled a newcomer to the city: a young woman with pale skin and long, curly hair that was turquoise in color; half of it fell loose down her back while the other half was pulled up into two fun buns on the top sides of her head. Her light blue eyes scanned the city as she continued walking through the streets, taking in the buildings and booths opened for the day. She wore a dressy shirt of different shades of purple with short, ruffly sleeves, white pants and ankle-high purple boots. Around her neck, she wore a dark purple bandana scarf. She had never been to Magnolia before, but she was a woman on a mission.
To find the Wizard guild of Fairy Tail.
She had heard a lot of great things about this guild and she was in search of one. She needed a better place to go; hopefully somewhere she could fit in. She too was a Wizard, but her previous home was not somewhere she felt she belonged. It was time for a change and maybe Fairy Tail, if they were willing to give her a chance, would be a great place to start over.
Being lost in her own thoughts and in awe of the city around her, she didn’t see the person in front of her and accidentally ran into them, stumbling backwards after the impact.
A deep, gruff voice spoke to her, "Whoa! Careful where you're goin', kid." He spoke to her more with caution than with anger.
"I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention," the girl said.
She took in the stranger's appearance before her and he was unlike anyone she'd ever seen before. He was younger; probably a couple years older than her, tall, had very long and spiky black hair and wore a black, sleeveless top that looked like an overcoat with tattered ends, tan trousers and black boots. On his shoulder was a dark green fur mantle and around his neck was a black scarf. Then on his hands were brown leather, fingerless gloves. What was most peculiar about him were two key details: his piercing red eyes and the silver studs he had on his face and body. He had them along the edges of his ears, three studs above each eye in place of eyebrows, two on both sides of the bridge of his nose, two in his chin and four on the underside of each forearm. He had what almost seemed like a permanent scowl on his face. She'd never seen anyone as intimidating as him before. Yet he didn't appear threatening, which was a good sign, at least. Just more caught off guard than anything.
He eyed her curiously, but then just stated, "It's no big deal. Just be careful."
The girl gave him a nod and without another word took off in the direction of her quarry.
A few more minutes passed until she came up a hill and then she saw it: the towering building with the name "Fairy Tail" over the entrance and the flag of the fairy emblem hanging above the open doors. There it was, the place she'd been searching for.
"This is it. I almost can't believe I'm here," she said aloud in awe. Then she took a deep breath and exhaled loudly. "All right...here goes nothing."
Steeling herself, she walked through the open doors and was met with a wall of noise from a huge crowd of people hanging out in the guild hall. Human men and women of different varieties were spread out about the room. Some big, some small, some young, some older. She spotted two spiky-haired boys arguing and getting close to fighting over in a corner; one with pink hair and the other with black hair. Two girls were watching them, a blonde and a bluenette. There was also...a cat? The girl swore she saw a blue cat standing on a table nearby them. In seconds, the two boys were throwing fists and the girl kept walking over to the bar area.
Behind the bar was a beautiful woman with long white hair with a small ponytail at the front. When she saw the girl coming, she greeted her with a bright smile and said with a high-pitched voice, "Hello there! Welcome to Fairy Tail! What can I do for you?"
The turquoise-haired girl sat on a barstool and told the woman, "Hi, I was hoping to talk to the Master of Fairy Tail. Is he here?"
The bar woman answered, "I'm so sorry, Master is away right now, but he'll be back soon. Maybe I can help you." She held out a hand to the girl. "I'm Mirajane, but you can call me Mira. I'm one of highest-ranking Wizards here."
The girl shook her hand. "I'm Genna. I just came here hoping to maybe join Fairy Tail. I'm a Wizard, too, and I've heard a lot of things about this guild: some good and some crazy and I thought it sounded like my kind of place."
There was a loud crash behind her and she jumped in surprise, seeing the two fighting boys having destroyed one of the tables.
"Will you two cut it out? We just fixed the tables!" cried out one of the onlookers.
Ignoring them, the pink-haired one cried out, "You want a piece of me, brain freeze? I'll take you down right now!"
The other boy spat back, "In your dreams, hot shot!"
Genna turned back to Mira, who simply said with a grin on her face, "Yeah, I'm sure the crazy things you've heard aren't too far off. We're a rowdy bunch, as you can see."
"No kidding. Is that normal?" inquired Genna, gesturing to the wrestling boys behind her.
With a giggle, Mira answered, "Oh yes. Natsu and Gray fight each other almost every day, but they do care about each other deep down. They just don't want to admit it."
Genna chuckled, amused.
"You said you're a Wizard, too. What magic do you use?" then asked Mira.
Just as Genna was about to answer, someone sat down a couple seats away from her and a man's gravely voice said, "Hey Mira, mind pourin' one for me?"
"Sure thing!" Mira obliged, turning her back for a moment.
Genna turned to look and was shocked at who saw she saw.
It was the red-eyed, long-haired man with the studs that she’d run into on the street.
"Oh my gosh! It's you!" she exclaimed.
The man looked at her and grinned slyly, leaning his arm on the bar. "Well, well...fancy runnin' into you here, kid," he said.
It was then she noticed the Fairy Tail emblem on his left shoulder, which she didn't see the first time. "You're a Fairy Tail Wizard?" she questioned, stunned at seeing him there.
"Sure am. What's it to ya?" he asked, still grinning as Mira handed him a drink.
"I just didn't notice your mark when I ran into you. I had no idea," she replied.
"You two have already met?" inquired Mira.
After taking a sip, the guy answered her, "Yeah, she wasn't watchin' where she was goin' and ran right into me."
Shyly, Genna said back, "I said I was sorry."
"You got a name, kid?" he asked.
"I'm Genna Whitesun," she answered.
Satisfied with that answer, he aimed his thumb at his chest and responded, "Gajeel Redfox. Or Black Steel Gajeel."
Her eyebrows rose up and she looked impressed with quite a name.
"He's one of our resident Dragonslayer Wizards," Mira added.
Genna's eyes went wide. "You're a Dragonslayer? No way!" she cried out.
"Indeed and he's an exceptional one at that."
There was a second deep male voice that suddenly came from behind Gajeel and another cat came into view, but he had white wings on his back and landed on the bar next to Gajeel. The cat was small, black with round ears, a scar by his left eye and wearing pants.
With a small cry, she exclaimed, "You can talk?"
While the cat folded his arms across his chest and smiled, Gajeel told her, "This is my cat, Pantherlily. All of us Dragonslayers have one."
"We're called Exceeds," said Pantherlily.
"Fascinating!" she said back. Though, in her mind, she was secretly fawning over how adorable he was.
"So what're ya doing here at Fairy Tail?" Gajeel questioned Genna.
Mira answered for her with glee, "She's looking to maybe join the guild." Then she looked to Genna and spoke up curiously, "Genna, you never got to answer my question. What sort of magic do you use?"
Beaming proudly, she stated, "I use Starlight Magic."
Gajeel's studded eyebrows went up. "Ain't ever heard of that kind of magic."
"It's super rare," said Mira. "I'd love to see what you can do."
Feeling confident, Genna stood up from her stool and brought her hands up in front of her, touching her fingertips together. "Starlight Magic Art," she stated, conjuring a shimmering, iridescent magic circle. "Aurora Borealis!"
She thrust out her hands in front of her and in the air over the crowd appeared a sparkling wave of colors that looked like a river of stars. Everyone inside stopped what they were doing and looked up in wonder at the amazing display above their heads, crying out in astonishment. Then all eyes turned to the source of the lights as it dissipated, meaning everyone was now looking at Genna.
She just smiled and looked back at Gajeel and Mira. "That's just more for show," she told them. "There's more I can do in terms of combat and other abilities."
Gajeel had never seen such a dazzling show of magic and it was a sight to behold. The stars that hung in the air almost to seemed reflect in her eyes and he was almost literally starstruck for a very brief moment. This girl was something else. He couldn't help but wonder what else her magic could do.
However, in seconds, people were already clamoring over to her, wondering who she was, where she came from and how she did her cool trick. Then, to her surprise, the pink-haired young man pushed through and put himself between her and the other people.
"Hey, back off, everybody!" he yelled with great force. "Don't be crowding the new girl! Get back before I send you flying!"
That seemed to deter the crowd and they all dispersed and moved away. That certainly wasn’t what Genna had been expecting.
Then the young man turned around and said with perhaps the largest smile ever, "Sorry about all that. We just get pretty excited around here. I haven't seen you here before. I'm Natsu. Welcome to Fairy Tail!"
She couldn't help but smile back at his contagious enthusiasm and told him, "I'm Genna. I'm happy to be here."
Getting a better look at Natsu, she saw he only wore a black vest with gold trim over his torso, a skirt-like garment that matched the vest over white puffy pants with black ties at the bottom and sandals. Then around his neck we wore a white scale-patterned scarf.
"Are you looking to join our guild? We may be a big guild already, but we still always have room for more," Natsu declared.
Timidly, she answered him, "I mean...I'd like to, but I'm waiting to talk to the Master first."
"What are you waiting on Gramps for? After what you just did, I'd say you've got what it takes to be a member of Fairy Tail," he boldly stated.
Then Gajeel said in response to him, "Yeah, but last I checked, you're not the Guild Master around here, Salamander, so you don't get to make those decisions."
Natsu immediately whipped around in his direction and asked with a growl, "Okay, you wanna go, too, Gajeel? I can still voice my opinion if I want to."
"Wow, Natsu really can go from zero to a hundred in nothing flat," Genna thought, perplexed.
Then the blue cat she'd seen earlier came over, also with wings sprouting him his back and he cried out in a tiny voice, looking at Genna, "Wow, those lights were so pretty!"
He was followed by the blonde girl and the black-haired boy who Genna now realized was Gray, whom Mira had mentioned. He only wore black pants and that was it; he had no shirt on and his blue fairy emblem was on his chest. The blonde had on a white sleeveless top with blue accents, a mini-skirt of a matching shade of blue with a belt and knee-high black boots. She had a half pulled back ponytail tied with a blue ribbon. On her belt was a small leather pouch that Genna could see a couple keys poking out of and also a whip.
Gray spoke first, saying in a cool voice, "That was really something."
"Seriously! That almost reminded me of my celestial magic," spoke the blonde.
"That explains the keys," thought Genna.
Then the girl lifted a hand and said in greeting, "Hi, I'm Lucy." Then she pointed to Gray and then the blue cat. "This is Gray and this is Happy."
"Aye, sir!" exclaimed Happy.
Genna giggled. Were all Exceeds this cute?
Mira then told them, "This is Genna. She's looking to join the guild."
"Great! We could use some more girl power around here," said Lucy.
With a smirk, Genna replied, "Well, here's hoping I make it in."
"Oh, you will. Master Makarov hardly ever turns anyone away," stated Happy.
"Gramps believes that everyone deserves a place to belong and if Fairy Tail is where they wanna be, then that's enough for him," said Gray.
Then Mira put in, "Well, he might still have her take on a job first to make sure she's up to the task."
"I'll do whatever I need to," said Genna.
"Heh, famous last words," said Gajeel through a small scoff.
Genna stole a look at him and saw he was smirking at her. There didn't seem to be any malicious intent behind his words, but there was definitely some ribbing come from him for sure.
He kept going, "You say things like that, the old man might give you the hardest job on the board."
"If that's what he wants to do, then I'll do it," she replied.
"You've got moxy, kid," he said back.
Natsu slammed a fist into the palm of his other hand and let out an good-natured snicker. "I believe in you, Genna. You're gonna do great."
Touched at his support, Genna told him, "Thank you for your faith in me, Natsu."
He then added, "Whatever Gramps decides to have you do when he gets back, you'll show him you've got what it takes to be a Wizard of Fairy Tail."
"Is that so?"
An older voice spoke from behind Natsu and he jumped in surprise. There behind him was a very small old man. He was bald with tufts of white hair pointing out from behind his ears, a white mustache and wearing a white coat with fur lining. Next to him was a taller woman wearing silver armor with a blue skirt and her hair was long and a beautiful crimson color. She had a sharp and stoic look on her face.
"There you are. Welcome back, Master and Erza," said Mira gladly.
Genna looked at the old man. This was Master Makarov, Fairy Tail's leader? She never imagined he would be so tiny, but there was certainly a fierceness she could see in his eyes.
He looked up at her, as well, his interest piqued at the new face before him. "You wish to join our guild, young lady?" he asked her.
Nodding, she replied with a steady tone, "Yes, sir. I'm Genna Whitesun; I've been looking for a new guild and I thought Fairy Tail would be a good place for me."
"I see," he said. Then his mustache curled up slightly as he grinned. "Well, we're always happy to welcome new members. Though, not just anyone can enter Fairy Tail without first proving themselves in some way. I did see the display of Starlight Magic you just showed as we were approaching outside. Quite impressive, but we'll need more than that."
"Understood. I'll do whatever you'd like me to do. I want to prove that I'm worthy of the Fairy Tail name," she said, giving him a bow of her head.
The armored woman, Erza, grinned with amusement and laid a hand on her hip. "She's a determined one," she commented to the Master, her voice a touch deeper than Mira's or Lucy's and with a velvety tone to it. "What do you think, Master? What task shall we give her to test her mettle?"
"She could fight you, Scarlet," suggested Gajeel smugly.
"Are you kidding? We don’t want to scare the girl away," Gray rebuttaled.
"Actually, I have just the job in mind; one that I've just received," stated Makarov. "There have been reports of possible dark creatures lurking in the forest outside of Magnolia and even along Akane Beach. These creatures, whatever they are, are causing mass panic among the people and must be dealt with."
That sounded like the perfect job for a Starlight Magic Wizard in Genna's mind. "I can do that, no problem!" she declared.
"All right, that's the spirit!" cheered Natsu.
Gajeel snickered again. "Not sure if that's the kind of job you should do alone, kid," he commented to Genna. "You don't wanna get in over your head too quick or you're gonna fall flat."
"He's right," agreed Erza. "With this sort of job, you'll need someone to accompany you...and since he's shown great concern for your safety, Gajeel will go with you."
Taken by surprise by that remark, he spit out the sip of his drink, splashing Pantherlily in the process. "What?" he cried out.
"You had that coming, Gajeel," Pantherlily jabbed at him, shaking the excess drink off of him.
"Oh...okay," Genna relented, also caught off guard.
She wasn't displeased by Erza's order, but it just wasn't what she was expecting. Gajeel was a hard book to read thus far. He wasn't being mean to her; he was sarcastic and a tease, for sure, but he also wasn't exactly going out of his way to be nice. He was somewhere in between and it was interesting to her. The others; Mira, Pantherlily, Natsu, Gray, Lucy, Happy and Erza were all more than kind and welcoming to her, but Gajeel...he seemed indifferent. Just who exactly was he? Well, if he was gonna be going with her on this mission, maybe she'd get to find out.
Before Gajeel could further protest, Makarov chimed in, a pleased look on his face, "It's settled then. Gajeel and Genna will head out as soon as possible and deal with the dark creatures terrorizing the forest. I wish you the best of luck, young lady, and we look forward to your return."
Smiling giddily, Genna said with gratitude, "Thank you, Master Makarov. I won't let you down."
"You're gonna do great, Genna! Can't wait for you to get back," said Lucy, giving her an encouraging thumbs up and a wink.
"Go knock 'em dead," added Gray.
"Thanks, guys," Genna replied.
At the bar, Gajeel downed rest of his drink and groaned heavily as he set the cup down. "Ugh...well, this oughta be good," he complained to Pantherlily.
"You brought this on yourself, my friend," the Exceed refuted. "You had to make a comment to her."
"Hey, if I'm going, then you're in this with me, Lily," Gajeel replied, annoyed.
"I'm already aware of that," Lily responded.
There was movement out of the corner of Gajeel's eye and he turned to see Genna standing there.
"I guess it looks like you and I will be working together," she said to him, a hint of shyness in her voice. "I don't want to be a hindrance, but I appreciate the help. I'm currently staying at a hotel in town. I can go get some of my things from there and meet you back here. Does that sound good?"
"Fine by me," he replied flatly.
"Great. I'll be back soon," she said and quickly took off.
He watched her run out of the guild hall, seemingly unsure about how to feel about the whole situation. He was a seasoned Wizard who didn't always like associating the bright-eyed and bushy-tailed newbies of the guild who seem to think they can take on the world. He'd been through his fair share of trials and hardships already that hardly anyone else would understand. Newer wizards had no idea what they were getting themselves into and he didn't have the time or the energy to deal with them. Now, he was getting stuck with this new girl on a job. She was eager, definitely, but he didn't seem as bothered by her. Yet, anyway. She couldn't be that much younger than he was and she seemed more mature than some other new Wizards that had come to Fairy Tail. He wasn't annoyed with her and instead, just felt the urge to be teasing and smug with her; have a little fun and mess with her a bit, which didn't happen often.
He said to Lily, who was still standing on the bar and also watching Genna leave, "This job's gonna be interesting."
"I agree. She's got drive and spirit...she'll make a perfect addition to Fairy Tail," Lily stated.
As she ran through the streets to her hotel, Genna couldn't stop smiling with elation and slight disbelief at everything that had just happened.
"I can't believe it," she said to herself. "I've got my first job already. It's finally happening. I'm getting my chance." Her eyes lifted up to the sky. "Just you wait, Father. I'll prove you wrong. I'll show what I'm made of to everyone and I'll become a Wizard of Fairy Tail! You'll see!"

a dissection of King of the Hill Season 4, Episode 1 - Peggy Hill: The Decline and Fall and why it made me feel insane
this episode was so insanely dark & miserable i need to pick it apart and just talk about it or i will never be normal again!
i will now post most of the script with my thoughts added in. some parts were deleted for "brevity" (this is still a longass post i'm sorry)
[Grave instrumental music]
Peggy?
[Hank exclaiming]
l think my wife.... l think, might be dead.
l'll be right back.
[Luanne screams]
the man thinks his wife is dead which is kinda sad but Luanne is so funny in this ep lol
[Dramatic instrumental music]
[Hank grunting]
HANK: Peggy!
BOBBY: Dangit. Didi. Push!
MEDICAL STAFF: lt's okay, son. The baby's here.
-He's beautiful. -What's his name?
MEDICAL STAFF: Here you go Daddy. To cut the umbilical cord.
kinda messed up that they think Bobby is the dad......hes like 12......... but ok
BOBBY: [Softly] Oh. My uncle.
Hank: Peggy?
[Peggy gasping]
[Gasps]
LUANNE: Aunt Peggy?
[Sobbing]
No!
[Gasps]
luanne haters suck my dick she's so silly i love her
[Somber instrumental music]
Hank: Okay (seeing Peggy from afar, on the ground). Think one piece. Peggy?
Peggy: [Weakly] Hey, hey, hey.
Hank: God! You're all smashed up. Peggy: -l'm alive.
Luanne: Uncle Hank, we're too late.
TV ANNOUNCER: Aikman takes the snap, a quick pass over the middle to Smith,,,the 20, the 10, Emmitt Smith scores! HANK: Yes!
DOCTOR: Hank Hill? HANK: l wasn't watching.
Just for a second.
l have no idea what the score is. l couldn't tell you.
wait why did he lose interest in his wife's condition..................actually nvm we all deserve a lil stress free moment when experiencing tragedies right?
DR: Your wife is gonna be just fine. Hank: Yes!
DR: Peggy has a compression fracture of the bones in her back.
Thank goodness for the mud.
She would not have survived if she had fallen on concrete...
or a fence.
HANK: But she's okay?
DR: Yes. They're putting her into a body cast to immobilize her while she heals.
HANK: What color is the cast? DR: What does that matter, Mr. Hill?
HANK: l don't know. l've never been through this before.
l'm just trying to ask the right questions.
DR: lt's white. Sponge bath. Bedpan. HANK: -Thank you.
that was a good scene i liked that
[Peggy humming]
-Peggy? -Hank. Come on in.
Look at me. l'm in an ensemble.
My top cast and my bottom cast match.
[Both chuckle]
Yeah. Quality plaster.
[Luanne comes in, immediately leaves sobbing hysterically]
the voice acting is just so good in these
PEGGY: l'm guessing that was Luanne.
l wish she wouldn't feel sorry for me when l feel so terrific for me.
l have had a near-death experience. Most people never get that,,,
except when it's next to their death experience. Then they can't appreciate it.
You know what's odd? The last thing l remember was deciding not to jump. What or who would have made me change my mind?
HANK: (Lying) l'm not sure. l don't know. l wasn't in the plane. l was on the ground, remember? l'm the one who found you.
gaslight girlboss gatekeep
-Mom? -Bobby?
-You really fell out of a plane? -Yes, sir. l did.
HANK: Your mom is one of only 16 people who have survived parachutes not opening.
PEGGY: Now, 16 is my estimate. l'll double-check my numbers later.
[Luanne walks in]
LUANNE: l'm sorry about before. l don't know what came over me.
[Starts sobbing]
Oh, God!
[Luanne runs out]
another great luanne moment. W for luanne fans.
[Cotton comes in]
COTTON: What did you do to your wife? l didn't teach you that.
cotton sucks i hate cotton. even when he's speaking up against spousal abuse.
[Door creaking open]
Where's my new dependent? l'm supposed to look at it.
cotton yikes #1
DIDI: Where did l put.... There it is.
BOBBY: Uncle, l present you to your father.
COTTON: Look at him. His shins are perfect. [Cooing] Look at you. You're a handsome little soldier. You wanna kill a Nazi? A Nazi, Nazi-scrazzi.
weird way to talk to a baby. cotton yikes #2
[Cooing]
COTTON: Didi, did you name this baby yet? DlDl: What's the use?
she literally looks so sad... this is where it starts bumming me out a lil
COTTON: l'm calling him Hank. l always wanted a boy named Hank.
HANK: Dad, Hank is my name.
COTTON: Not anymore. l'm taking it back. He's Hank.
HANK: You can't take away a grown man's name.
COTTON: All right. l'll call him G.H. Good Hank.
this was unhinged too but way funnier than the other stuff
COTTON: Did you see the way my boy looked at that nurse?
Practically slapped her rump then and there.
nvm i'm back to hating cotton. cotton yikes #3
[Thunder cracking]
[Ominous instrumental music. Hank is having a nightmare.]
BAD HANK: Peggy, you've gotta do it. lt's amazing. lt's the best dang feeling in the world.
evil hank >:)
NURSE: There we go. Okay. Now you try.
COTTON: We'll see about all this.
Okay. (Putting a diaper on the baby) Put this little nipper in here, tuck this little nipper in there.
Close up shop. There. Ready for soiling.
What the.... The kid is leaking out of his chest!
NURSE: That's from his nipples. lt's a form of lactation.
COTTON: Dangit. You said it was a boy.
NURSE: He is. He's simply been ingesting a lot of female hormones from his mother. lt's so common it has a name. Witch's milk.
COTTON: Lord! What did l do? Was it the 50 men l killed?
bro is abandoning his literal newborn bc he's anti-science. cotton yikes #4
PEGGY: The maternity ward ceiling. lt reminds me of when my son was born.
PEGGY: And l am also reminded of when my next child will be born. Why isn't the baby with his mother? NURSE: Didi Hill has postpartum depression. She couldn't even gather up the strength to put on some lipstick.
And she looks awful.
UM??????? it's giving HIPAA violation. also she has POSRPARTUM DEPRESSION. that was simply..not nice
COTTON: You did this to my son. There's no milk coming out of these (groping his bare chest, shirtless)
cotton verbally abusing his depressed wife. this guy is the WORST. yikes #5
PEGGY: Cotton, stop it. You should be comforting her. COTTON: Comfort her? Comfort me.
😒
NURSE: Mr. Hill, your insurance company's automated voice says you have to leave the hospital today, in 85 minutes.
COTTON: But l can't take care of a dripping witch-child. Can't we just stay hospitaling until Didi gets her brains back?
NURSE: [Laughing] Maybe if you were the richest man in America.
lots to unpack here. america's failure of a medical system. cotton being a dick about his lactating newborn, unsympathetic abt didi's condition - but at least advocating for a longer hospital stay isn't a bad idea...................BUT THEN WHY DID THE NURSE LAUGH AT HIM LOL she doesn't care abt people
DR: You and your wife and those flowers are going home today.
HANK: Yeah. But Peggy's got a broken back.
DR: l know. l told you that. But she wants to be discharged.
l'm not so worried about her back. l'm worried about her emotional state.
HANK: Yeah. But she seems so happy.
DR: Once the thrill of surviving wears off...and it does, trust me, Jetski, July '94...she may experience a second crash when she feels her own limitations.
HANK: There won't be any second crash. As long as l'm around, l won't let her feel any limitations.
DR: There's no need for you to feel this guilty. You didn't make her jump.
HANK: Yeah. Do you think you could put that on her chart?
sus hank with 0 emotional intelligence. unsurprising tho.
HANK: Peggy, l'm here. PEGGY: Hey! We're going home today.
l have packed myself up without any help from the nurses,
this was sad to me idk she's so delusional
[Hank sighs]
HANK: Are you sure you're ready? PEGGY: Honey, ready or not, l have got to go.
l invited Cotton and Didi and the baby to stay with me...until they can take care of him on their own.
HANK: You think you can help them take care of a baby?
PEGGY: lf that poor farm boy, whose arms were ripped off by a thresher...could dial 91 1 with his nose...then l think Peggy Hill can take care of that baby.
like, you obvs can tell she's gonna break soon. kind of a bummer.
HANK: (Unloading Peggy from the ambulance into the neighborhood) Back off. Back off, everybody.
Everybody.
(They bump Peggy into the doorframe when wheeling her inside the house)
HANK: That's our fault, Peggy, not your fault.
PEGGY: Try the back door. lt'll fit.
[Balloon pops. They keep bumping Peggy into the sliding door walls.)]
PEGGY: Am l in a very wide bed?
HANK: Maybe we can get her in at an angle. Come on, guys. All right. On three.
BOOMHAUER: lf you lift on three, you mean one, two, dang ol' three and then go...or do you kind of, like, lift her on three?
HANK: Just lift now, okay?
HANK: Now.
HANK: Tilt towards me. No. Toward....
HANK: Fine. Away from me.
peggy looks really uncomfortable in this scene 🥲
[All grunting]
BlLL: Hi, Peggy. PEGGY: Hello, Bill.
DALE: l think a ''thank you'' would be in order.
HANK: Dale, get the hell out of here.
this was so unhinged i love dale
(Minh, Nancy, & Peggy inside the house)
MINH: Cast make you look good for Peggy Hill. Like you mummy, museum piece, but with attitude. Mummy for the '90s.
NANCY: Sug', you ain't helping.
(to Peggy) People spend hundreds of dollars at a spa to get wrapped up like that.
PEGGY: Yes. lt's very refreshing.
NANCY: l just can't believe your attitude. Who would have thought?
Didi's depressed and you're not.
LIKE..........the neighbor's don't have any sympathy for didi either??? THEYRE SO MEAN??
[Car horn honking]
The baby's here. [NANCY & MINGH leave)
PEGGY: Good. The baby's here. Okay. Minh, make sure Didi puts a hat on him. Nancy, you make sure he takes it off when he gets inside the house.
peggy's just talking to herself until she realizes her friends have LEFT and its????? SO QUIET??? LIKE, THIS IS SO SAD WTF
[Scene with Peggy and Hank]
PEGGY: l feel so stupid for jumping. lt wasn't worth this. Why did l do it? Do you remember? This is really bugging me. [...] Wait, wait, wait. l just remembered something. On the plane, l was talking to you on a phone, Do planes have phones?
HANK: That's a good one. l'll look into that.
PEGGY: No. l remember now. l was talking to you. But what did we say?
HANK: lt sounds familiar. But with all the noise from the engines...and then you falling and all, l'm not sure we'll ever know.
PEGGY: Please, Hank. You are gonna have to be my memory...because l don't have one anymore.
HANK: Deal.
like i get that hank is feeling guilty and it's like hahaha funny but...................................gaslighter 😒
OK THIS NEXT SCENE IS LIKE. THE WORST ONE. LIKE, ITS SO LEGITIMATELY AWFUL FOR HUMANITY
HANK: You don't have to yell. We can hear you just fine through the baby monitor.
PEGGY: Why am l being fed with a bottle? HANK: We're out of straws.
PEGGY: l do not want to be fed with a bottle.
HANK: lt's just easier, okay? Please?
and then he like...PUTS THE BOTTLE IN HER MOUTH. like i'm SORRY to be a joykill but that's literally so dehumanizing & wrong?? THE WOMAN WAS IN A HORRIBLE ACCIDENT you could at least treat her like a person & LISTEN TO HER. she is uncomfortable & in pain!!!!!!!
PEGGY: (drinking the bottle) What is that?
HANK: lt should be Carnation lnstant Breakfast.
PEGGY: lt tastes like formula.
HANK: (at Bobby, chuckling) You took Peggy's bottle, and l took the baby's bottle? Now, that's funny.
also bobby is the one taking care of the baby and he is EXHAUSTED. literally child neglect for both kids idk what to tell you...
PEGGY: (being wiped with a baby wipe) What are you doing? Look, l do not want a bottle, okay?
HANK: Shhh.
PEGGY: l'm not hungry. HANK: Shhh.
PEGGY: l want eggs. HANK: Shhh.
[Peggy crying]
[Peggy and baby crying]
at this point they have stopped listening to peggy entirely. so much that she breaks down crying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the woman is deadass psychologically broken or something!!!!!! i found this uncomfortable to watch
BOBBY: Maybe Mom just needs to burp.
HANK: Bobby, could you give us a moment?
(to Peggy) What's wrong?
"WHAT'S WRONG"??????? I WONDER???????????????????? BITCH HAS NO EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
PEGGY: [Sobbing] My life is ruined. l had to jump out of a plane for our anniversary. l'm sorry, Hank. l ruined both of our lives.
[Peggy sobbing hysterically]
HANK: Okay. Look. lt wasn't your fault. lt was my fault.
hank confesses to his evil sins of hyping up sky diving. peggy says the real reason she jumped is bc she's jealous of didi & cotton for having a baby.
PEGGY: Do you know what torture that is? l was once one of the finest mothers in the state of Texas... and now l can't even wipe a baby. And l have to watch those two, Cotton and Stupid...with their beautiful new baby that they don't even want.
[Sobbing]
DIDI HAS POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION, A LEGITIMATE MEDICAL CONDITION THAT CAN ACTUALLY BE FATAL TO BOTH NEW MOTHERS AND THEIR BABIES!!!!!!!!!! AND COTTON IS LITERALLY VERBALLY ABUSIVE!!!!!!! EVERYONE IS BEING SO MEAN ABOUT IT LIKE IF SHE CHOSE THIS!!!!! IM GOING INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PEGGY: What are you smiling about? HANK: lt wasn't my fault. lt's just such a load off my mind. l feel lighter than air.
l mean, l feel bad in a new way, for you...because what you were just saying. That stuff.
IM GONNA KILL THIS BITCH HANK WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH UUUUUUUUUUUUU
PEGGY: Just leave me alone, okay?
HANK: You just want me to leave? PEGGY: Yes.
HANK: So the right thing for me to do is leave, even though you're crying.
PEGGY: Go.
HANK: l'm skeptical, but okay.
at this point i start wondering if hank is neurodivergent & a minor. jk jk this part was funny
[Bobby signing to the baby, exhausted]
COTTON: Bobby, since you're doing all the woman's work around here...be a woman and get me my shin jelly.
BOBBY: G.H. kind of needs me right now. COTTON: So, take him along.Just get the jelly and lather me up.
child abuse, neglect, sexism, etc etc but the biggest crime is making me look at cotton again. LESS COTTON, MORE LUANNE!
DIDI: Bobby, Could you buy me some lottery tickets?
BOBBY: [Screaming] l am a 12-year-old boy. l am this child's nephew. l cannot do this. l cannot do this! [Gives Didi the baby] lf anybody makes any dinner, l'll eat. But that's it. All l'll do is eat!
not gonna say bobby was in the wrong for screaming at didi, since he is just a child & should NOT have been doing any of these things, but DAMN DID THEY REALLY HAVE TO PUT DOWN DIDI EVEN MORE????!?!??
[Baby crying]
DIDI: Baby, stop crying. l.... Oh....l'm tired. [She walks over to Peggy, put the baby on her bed, and leaves]
PEGGY: Didi, are you leaving? No, please. Someone has to watch the baby. Because unless it's flying above my head, l cannot do it,
All right, Help! Will somebody come,,,, Hank!
What? What's wrong?
HANK: l shouldn't have left, right? l had a feeling....
PEGGY: The baby. HANK: Yeah?
PEGGY: lt's crying. HANK: lt's always crying. The baby hasn't stopped crying since it got here.
PEGGY: Just do something!
hank's emotional intelligence is so low that he literally didn't even think there was anything abnormal about a baby that cries 24/7. GUYS, IF UR BABY IS CRYING ALL THE TIME, IT COULD BE IN PAIN OR DYING OR SOMETHING. DON'T BE LIKE HANK.
HANK: [Goes to Cotton] All right. l've had enough, Dad. There's a baby crying in the house.
COTTON: Go fix it. HANK: You go fix it.
COTTON: l ain't getting near that child. He's possessed.
HANK: He's just leaking a little milk. Sure, it's disturbing, but he'll grow out of it.
COTTON: How do you know? Are you a leaker? Are you leaking on me right now, Leaky?
cotton literally does not want this child. child neglect, abandonment. JAIL JAIL JAIL. wait i forgot the cotton yikes counter. what number were we on???????
HANK: You hear that, that silence?
COTTON: G.H. HANK: Something's wrong.
[Dramatic instrumental music. They run back to the room with Peggy and GH]
[Both gasp]
[Baby cooing. Peggy is rocking GH with her toe]
[Gentle instrumental music]
PEGGY: Isn't it amazing? It's the greatest dang feeling in the world.
[Theme music]
everything is ok now because peggy has proven that she is able to serve, hence she has worth again!! the neglect isn't relevant anymore!!! who cares that she was gaslit & manipulated & treated like garbage throughout the whole episode!!!! no one had any genuine care about her health after an almost fatal accident but that's fine!!!!! FUCK DIDI SHE HAS DEPRESSION!!!!
anyway that was a Not Very Nice episode in terms of human decency. the script alone doesn't really capture how heavy it felt; there was lots of ill-fitting music over the scenes that i found disturbing, it was wild! there were some good parts tho. i'm not sure if the writers just hate women with depression, or if it was all intentionally written as an absurdist portrayal of genuine human misery, like an existentialist play. regardless of intent, it was MASTERFUL as the latter. it was a piece of media written with no shred of emotional empathy towards the suffering of its cast. hbo can recreate this episode with the same script & create something incredibly gritty & dark.
anyway 4/10 needed more luanne
#king of the hill#shitpost#sorry for being an insane person#this is the wildest thing ive ever posted here#im not expecting anyone to actually ready this but if u do? ur a real one#analysis#hot take

So ever since I came to my parents' house I've been having these weird and highly specific dreams. The first night I had a dream that I was with my boyfriend and a bunch of my middle school classmates on a bus on our way to a music festival. My boyfriend was not sitting next to me, and I was a bit mad at him because he had bought full pass vip festival tickets despite the festival lineup being total dogshit. I was bantering with my ex classmates and they were laughing along, so I guess there wasn't that much tension. At some point the bus stopped or broke down, and one of the benefits of the full vip tickets that my bf had purchased was that if the bus broke down on the way to the festival, everyone on the bus would get free tickets for the bus ride. So my bf took matters in his own hands and spoke to the driver who accepted and agreed that everyone did not need to pay the bus fare. I remember one of my ex classmates started crying but not out of serious sorrow or heavy emotion, idk how to explain it. I started mocking her and said "no one: - Andra: starts crying" and a few other classmates laughed. Idk why I said that and she did not seem upset or anything, but it's not something I'd say irl lol. Somehow we made it to the festival field, and it was literally the size and shape of my grandma's garden. Like an empty orchard, and it was dark and no one was there. Then out of nowhere a whole pack of huge black dogs appeared from behind the hills, and started chasing our group. There was nobody around so we started screaming and running away terrified as fast as we could, and looking back at the dogs getting closer and closer to us. And then I think my mom woke me up or I heard a noise and woke up, but the dream didn't continue.
The second night I dreamed that one of my friends had a car and drove me around. I think I was also hugging him in the dream, but it was purely platonic. He took me to this building that was like members-only, or something like that, and then went to find a parking spot for his car. He was gone a pretty long time, long enough for me to be able to explore the place. I think we were not wanted there because people knew we were not part of the club, but they couldn't really say shit to us. I remember a morose man keeping his eye on me, but I wasn't afraid of him. I started to get hungry and thirsty and I stole some snacks and a big bottle of coca cola, then my friend came and we left (?? He went to park his car, came back, and then we left lmaooo). I think it was my boyfriend that came back actually, and I told him the story. But I'm not really sure. After this I ended up with this girl from college who I didn't really like personality-wise but she's the kind who tries really hard to seem interesting and deep, so in my dream I was telling her the story of where we had been, and she seemed fascinated by that place. Then she was telling me the story of a girl who went to look for almond oil, and her name was Andreea Almond, and I started laughing really dramatically and like somehow made my face split with laughter, then got it back to normal. She looked at me bewildered and then laughed. There were a bunch of other people with us, we were hanging out somewhere behind/between some buildings. At some point, just to be funny, we all said "let's all be silent and just walk around in circles so people will be freaked out" and we thought it was a funny idea. We started doing that, just walking slowly and nonchalantly in circles without saying anything, and people who walked by looked at us like we were insane, and then we would all erupt into laughter.
On the third night I had a brief dream about my manager. She was wearing a wedding dress and looked really gorgeous, but we were supposed to be on like a team building trip or something. It was like we were at my late grandma's house, then at a lake. Idk, the setting of the dream changed a lot, but we had to kill someone and then leave, that was our team building mission.
Last night I dreamt that I had left my apartment wearing 1 sneaker and 1 flip flop, and I was desperately trying my hardest to not make it noticeable. At some point I realized my sneaker had ripped at the tip and it looked similar to my flip flop, but it just looked much worse than before. I was walking down this nightlife street when suddenly 2 guys with a microphone came up behind me and asked me: "Are you going to *name of my hometown*?" I was like "what?" And they repeated the question, to which I replied "no way!" But idk why I said that lol. And they laughed and pushed me forward towards a big table in the middle of the street (the street now looked like the main street in the beach village) where there were some other people sitting. There was food on the table, and I remembered about my strange footwear. I looked at the two guys and asked them: "since I gave a good answer, will you guys give me your sneakers?" They were like "lol what no" so I turned to the table and said: "then I'm going to steal something from your table" so I took a bite out of a loaf of bread that was sitting there. They shouted at me but I jumped out of my seat and started running away towards my home. They started chasing me, but I was super fast, like jumping around parkouring on the streets and flying around corners, Subway Surfers style. So I was much faster than them and I couldn't even see them behind me anymore. At some point I was starting to get near my apartment building, when I passed this sort of sidewalk tunnel. But it was like an abandoned little house. And I heard vomiting noises from inside of it, and saw a bloody syringe sitting outside of it, with red insects crawling all over it. I snapped a photo of the syringe and saw a pool of blood nearby, meanwhile the vomiting noises persisted. I sprinted back home and saw a little boy selling plums by the kilogram in front of my building, I thought "you know the times have gone to shit when kids have to sell fruit outside an apartment building".
