Personal headcanon that Lifeblood is the element of moonlight and the complimentary to void/darkness. I personally see both the Pale King and the Radiance to be more sunlight oriented and struggling for the position as the dominant "sun" of their followers. The Pale King reminds me of the crisp stark light of early springtime while the Radiance reminds me more of the scorching and wild sun in the heat of summer. Both ultimately are the antithesis of the dark and they seek to control and suppress the nature of the darkness (or to manipulate and reshape it to serve a purpose, in the king's case)

Lifeblood, on the other hand, exists within the darkness as a neutral element. Much like the moon exists as both a source of light and a complementary to the night surrounding it. I personally think that's why the lifeblood core can be found in the abyss untouched by total darkness and able to coexist within the void harmlessly. I also think this is why lifeblood has healing properties when used on void beings. It's light but moreso a reflection of light and not a dominating light that smothers and burns away the darkness. It's a complimentary to the shadows that surround it. Like how the moon shines the best when it's surrounded by the darkness of night

Just my personal headcanons since I don't see much in the way of Lifeblood content and I like pairing complimentary elements over antithesises so I made my own lol
