The old school song played loudly on the speakers as Ardian cleaned his dorm room. His roommates had a party that he never hung around for. He sung along to the song picking up the empty pizza boxes and putting them into the garbage bag. He hated when they had parties cause they never liked to clean up.

They knew they had dorm check yet they always had wild parties. He never stayed for the parties he usually go to his girlfriends dorm room. Was him and Haleigh still best friends? Yeah, that wasn't changing. He didn't care if Tori liked it or not. They argued about why he liked having Haleigh around so much.

Him and Tori been together for three months and he sees why he enjoyed being single. She just did too much and it irked him. She didn't like to cook. She didn't like to bake. Only thing Tori liked to do was order raw fish, Tofu, and vegan food that she made him eat.

He did not like it and neither did his tastebuds. Tori was a lot but yet he was still with her. He was so busy cleaning and singing he didn't hear Haleigh walking in. She watched him for a few minutes singing softly to herself watching her bestfriend clean.

Ardian continued to sing and clean until he felt eyes on him. Turning around he was met with an amused Haleigh. His cheeks turned a bright red as he put the trash bag down. Best friends stood in front each other one embarrassed and one enjoying seeing how flustered the other was. They stood in a comfortable silence for 15 minutes until Ardian spoke up first.

"Hey Pigtails."

"Hey Ardi. Another party?"

Ardian nodded turning back around to finish cleaning up again. Haleigh noticed Ardian was looking a little smaller and frowned.

"Not eating Crusty?"

"I'm eating. Just not my normal Chinese, Pizza, Soul Food, and dessert."

Haleigh raised a questioning brow at her best friend. Ardian sat down and started to play with his earring.

"Tori got me on this diet. I'm eating Vegan, Tofu, and raw fish. She keeps me on a detox."

Haleigh sat next to him putting her purse on the bed.

"Now you know if I was girlfriend you be eating good everyday."

"I know. How noodle head treating you?"

"He's treating me good. He's eating better than you."

"I see you got jokes today. I'm starving though."

"You also need a haircut."

Ardian ran his hand through his hair sighing. Haleigh noticed the action and did the same thing. Ardian didn't like when people touched his hair but he enjoyed when Haleigh did it. Haleigh noticed the color he had in his hair and thumped his ear causing him to flinch.

"Since when you put color in your hair?"

"Tori thought it look nice on me."

"Not only are you not eating but you making wrong decisions. I thought you said you had a girlfriend."

"I do. Why you so concerned about how I eat and what I do with my hair?"

Haleigh rolled her eyes and thumped him again.

"Cause you know if we was together you be eating very well and I wouldn't put no hair dye in your hair. So get your stuff, you getting a haircut then we going out to eat."

Peering at his best friend from the corner of his eye he let a sly smirk take hold of his features.

"If I didn't know any better I think you was still in love with me."

"No, I'm not. I'm being a good best friend."

Haleigh lied. Ardian leaned over and kissed her cheek standing up to put his Nike slides on. Haleigh felt little butterflies in her stomach. Ardian held his hand out for her to take. Both of them was still in love with each other.

Haleigh didn't mind messing up Ardians relationship. Ardian on the other hand just wanted her to be happy even if it wasn't with him.
