I Plead Guilty
"I am guilty of loving you."
Ch-5
Tumblr media
The next evening, after the heavy family meetings, Kai and Y/N met privately at a quiet café that EXO often used for discreet gatherings. Yeorum was already there, sitting at the farthest table, her expression unreadable.
Kai approached cautiously, pulling out a chair for Y/N before sitting across from Yeorum.
Yeorum looked up slowly, her gaze sharp and cold. "So... it's official now," she said, voice clipped.
Kai nodded stiffly. "Yes."
Yeorum scoffed, stirring her coffee aggressively. "You really went through with it. You really let them parade you around like some helpless fool."
Kai leaned forward, voice low but firm. "You know I had no choice, Yeorum. If I didn’t fix my public image now, everything me and the boys worked for would be gone."
Yeorum looked at Y/N with a mocking smile. "And you. The 'good girl' lawyer swooping in to save the poor idol. How noble of you."
Y/N met her gaze calmly. "I'm not here to replace you, Yeorum. You can continue your relationship with Kai. I won’t interfere. We made that clear from the beginning."
Yeorum leaned back in her seat, arms crossed. "That's easy to say now. What happens when feelings get messy? What happens when the world starts treating you two like a real couple? You think you'll stay unaffected?"
Y/N didn’t flinch. "I'm not naïve, Yeorum. I know exactly what I've agreed to. I’m here to make sure Kai survives this storm. Nothing more."
For a moment, silence hung heavily between them.
Kai finally spoke, voice weary. "Yeorum… please. Trust me. We’ll make it through this. Together."
Yeorum stared at him, her eyes softening just a little before the hardness returned. "I trusted you once before, Jongin. Look where that got us."
Y/N rose from her seat, not wanting to escalate things further. "I’ll leave you two to talk privately."
But just as she turned to go, Yeorum’s voice called out sharply. "No."
Y/N stopped.
Yeorum sighed, slumping slightly in her seat. "If we’re doing this fake marriage circus, then we’re all in it together. No secrets. No lies. No side conversations."
Kai looked surprised but nodded. "Agreed."
Yeorum gave a hollow laugh. "Congratulations, Miss Y/N. Welcome to hell."
Y/N smiled politely, refusing to be baited. "Thank you. I'll be just fine."
After they left, Yeorum stayed behind at the café, her coffee long cold. She pulled out her phone and stared at it for a long moment.
In her heart, jealousy was twisting and growing darker. Y/N’s calm acceptance, her nonchalant strength — it was infuriating.
Yeorum wasn't just going to sit back and watch her life get rewritten without a fight.
She opened a secret group chat — one she had with a few old "friends" from her trainee days — the ones who had always hated idols and companies that "controlled" everything.
Yeorum:
"I need help. I have a story to sell. It'll make headlines."
Friend #1:
"What's the story?"
Yeorum:
"The truth about Kai. About Y/N. About their 'perfect engagement.' I want the world to know everything isn’t what it seems."
Her fingers hovered for a second, but then she typed one final message:
Yeorum:
"And I have photos too."
She hit send.
Kai sat with Suho and Kyungsoo in the living room, the weight of the day's events still heavy on their shoulders.
"You really think Yeorum will stay quiet?" Kyungsoo asked bluntly, sipping tea.
Kai ran a hand through his hair, frustrated. "I don't know. I can’t control her, hyung. I’m just hoping she sees the bigger picture."
Suho frowned, ever the leader. "Hope is good, but preparation is better. We need to be ready if she decides to act out."
Kai nodded reluctantly. "I'll talk to Y/N. We need to prepare for the worst."
Kyungsoo leaned back. "Good. Because something tells me this engagement... it's only the beginning."
Just three days after the engagement press conference, the calm began to crack.
It started with a post on a mid-tier gossip blog known for unfiltered celebrity news. The title screamed in bold:
"KAI’S ENGAGEMENT FAKE? Lawyer Bride Just a Cover-Up for Secret Girlfriend!"
The post included grainy photos of Kai and Yeorum from nearly a year ago — holding hands outside a private hotel, entering a seaside villa late at night. One photo, particularly damning, showed them kissing behind a van, partially shielded from the camera. The photos were time-stamped, and the article claimed:
“Sources confirm Kai was still in a relationship with his long-time secret girlfriend Yeorum while allegedly dating now-fiancée Y/N. Industry insiders speculate that the engagement is a PR cover-up after Kai’s sexual assault scandal, to salvage his career and keep sponsors intact.”
Within an hour, the blog post was reposted on Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram. By noon, it was trending on every major Korean portal site.
The EXO conference room buzzed with anxiety. Kai sat at the end of the table, head bowed, fists clenched. Y/N sat beside him, composed but visibly tense.
Kyungsoo, pacing, was fuming. "How did they get those photos? Those were over a year ago. That’s not public media access!"
"It had to be someone close to Kai or Yeorum," Suho said gravely. "Someone with access to their private locations."
Kai didn’t lift his head. "It was Yeorum."
Silence.
"What?" Y/N asked softly.
Kai finally looked up, eyes dark and regretful. "Those photos… we took them on a trip when I was filming overseas. No one else was there. She had the files."
Y/N closed her eyes. "Then she didn’t just leak them. She planned this."
Junmyeon turned to the legal team. "Do we have anything we can use?"
The firm’s attorney nodded. "Yes. She signed a non-disclosure agreement last year when she was allowed into private company spaces as Kai's guest. Leaking these photos violates that NDA and also breaches privacy laws. We can file for defamation and intentional harm."
Kai shook his head. "No lawsuits. Not yet. I want to talk to her."
Y/N turned to him. "She’s trying to destroy your career, Kai. This isn’t jealousy. This is malicious."
"I know. But she was someone I cared about. I need to understand why she’s doing this."
Y/N didn't argue, but her jaw tightened. "Fine. Talk to her. But not alone."
Suho agreed immediately. "She’ll meet you with her claws out. Y/N, go with him. And Min-soo, get a press statement ready just in case."
Later that evening, the trio met in a quiet room at a private residence. Yeorum looked calm — disturbingly so.
"So you’re here to yell at me?" she said, sipping a latte.
Kai was first to speak. "You leaked our photos."
Yeorum tilted her head. "You sure about that? Could’ve been anyone."
"You were the only one with access."
Yeorum rolled her eyes. "Fine. Yeah, I did. You made me a villain anyway, so I figured I’d at least have control of my own narrative."
Y/N remained quiet, letting Kai handle it.
"You’re hurting everyone," Kai said. "Not just me. Y/N, the company, my fans—"
"Your fans?" Yeorum snapped, suddenly emotional. "They always mattered more than me! You were more loyal to them than to me. Don’t act like I owe you anything!"
Y/N finally spoke. Calm. Measured. "You owe him peace. If you loved him, even for a second, you wouldn’t ruin everything just because you feel betrayed."
Yeorum scoffed. "You know what hurts the most? He looks at you now the way he used to look at me."
Kai blinked. "Yeorum…"
"No. I'm done." She stood up, grabbing her bag. "Sue me. Drag me to court. I don’t care anymore. But don’t pretend you two are the victims. This whole 'perfect couple' act makes me sick."
With that, she stormed out.
Y/N looked at Kai. "Are you okay?"
Kai leaned back in the chair, eyes distant. "I honestly don’t know."
At the dorms, the members gathered around the television as Suho read the prepared statement live on the news:
“In response to the recent resurfacing of old private photos, we confirm that the images were taken over a year ago while Kai and Yeorum were still in a relationship. At the time, Miss Y/N and Kai were not involved in any personal capacity. The current engagement was not influenced by any scandal, legal or otherwise. The leaking of these photos constitutes a serious breach of privacy and legal action is being evaluated. EXO Entertainment stands firmly behind Kai and Miss Y/N, and we request the media and public to refrain from spreading unverified information or edited content. Thank you.”
That night, as Kai walked Y/N to her car, the air between them was unusually quiet.
"Thanks," he finally said.
"For what?"
"For not walking away. Even now."
Y/N gave a tired smile. "I don’t walk away from my clients. Especially when they’re telling the truth."
He laughed quietly. "Even if they come with crazy exes and media firestorms?"
"Especially then."
They stood in silence for a moment before Kai said softly, "You were right, you know. She didn’t love me… not the way I needed her to. I don’t think she ever saw the real me."
Y/N looked up at him. "I do."
Kai blinked.
"And that’s exactly why this will work," Y/N added, getting in her car and driving off.
Leaving Kai standing under the streetlight… a little stunned, and maybe a little hopeful.
Tumblr media
The cameras flashed. The room was silent but charged with expectation. At the front of the hall, Suho, Kyungsoo, Kai, and Ms. Y/N sat at a long table draped in deep navy fabric embossed with the EXO Entertainment logo. Behind them, the wall bore two banners: one from EXO Entertainment, and the other from SooSoo Legal.
Suho leaned toward the microphone, his expression calm but resolute.
“Thank you all for coming today,” he began. “We understand that over the past few weeks, there has been confusion, misinformation, and deeply personal speculation surrounding EXO’s Kim Jongin—known to you as Kai—and his now-public engagement to Ms. Y/N.”
He paused to let the cameras adjust and murmuring settle.
“What you may not know is that this misinformation didn’t originate from misunderstanding or speculation. It was deliberately constructed.”
At that, Kyungsoo leaned forward. “After a full investigation by our internal legal and cybersecurity teams, we’ve confirmed that the source of the leaked personal and professional details was someone close to the matter. Someone with motive and access.”
He looked over briefly at Kai, whose jaw was set but calm.
“The individual responsible is Yeorum, an artist under ORYX Entertainment, and someone who was in a personal relationship with Mr. Kim Jongin at the time.”
A stunned silence spread through the room. Whispers began to ripple from the press gallery.
Kyungsoo continued, firm and composed. “Yeorum had access to confidential internal documents and private relationship details. She used that knowledge to submit altered, exaggerated, and in some cases entirely fabricated claims to multiple news outlets—anonymously and through falsified email addresses.”
Suho stepped back in. “We want to be clear—this wasn’t just gossip. These were deliberate attempts to paint Ms. Y/N as a manipulator, to imply that the engagement was a legal façade, and to reignite distrust in Mr. Kim’s cleared name following the incident involving Kim Si-un. These actions crossed the line from emotional hurt to reputational sabotage.”
Kai finally spoke, his voice low but audible.
“I want to say this once, and clearly. I never wronged Yeorum. But she chose to weaponize her proximity to me in a way that hurt a lot of people—including herself. And I won’t pretend it didn’t happen.”
A reporter raised a hand, carefully. “Will legal action be taken?”
Suho nodded. “We are currently in private talks with ORYX Entertainment. We are not seeking public retribution. But if defamation continues or escalates, we will act without hesitation. Our goal is not vengeance—it’s the protection of those who’ve been unfairly targeted.”
Kyungsoo closed the session firmly. “To the public: we urge you to wait for verified information, not viral headlines. We stand by our artist. We stand by Ms. Y/N. And we stand by the truth.”
He placed the microphone back into its holder and stood. One by one, the others followed.
No further words were spoken. But none were needed.
As the four walked out of the conference hall, the silence in the press room said more than any headline ever could.

Pairing: implied spiritshipping
Warnings: slight angst
Happy, happy birthday Judai.
Tumblr media
The sun was already high on the endless blue sky, showering the small apartment room in golden light when a big, orange and round thing pushed the door open with its head. The cat made his way through the mess and straight to the bed, where his owner was still sleeping. Confuting his own respectable weight, he jumped easily into the bed and snuggled up to the sleeping boy’s side, purring loudly. The quiet snoring suddenly stopped as the boy slowly opened his deep brown eyes, his hand automatically searching for the cat’s fluffy head.
“Let me sleep, Pharaoh! Just five more minutes!” Judai pleaded and covered his eyes with his free hand.
But it had been proven to be an unacceptable answer to Pharaoh. If he was hungry, nothing was an excuse for being late for breakfast. And in fact, it was almost lunchtime.
“Meow!”
However, Judai still didn’t seem willing to move, so he had to try harder.
“Ouch! Pharaoh, I know you are hungry, but I’m not your food! Don’t eat me!” Judai moaned as he sat up reluctantly. He squinted in the vivid lights, reaching the phone on the nightstand. The screen was showing 11 AM and the date below: 31th August.
31st August. The last day of summer. And his birthday.
Judai almost forgot about his nineteenth birthday. But to be honest, this day is going to be just like any other of the past week. He had nothing to do besides sitting at home and feeding Pharaoh occasionally. There was no real difference from what he did ever since he arrived from his last journey.
In fact, he was stuck in Domino City and had to stay there until he would eventually get a phone call from Chancellor Samejima. In the past one year of his life, an incoming call from his ex-headmaster meant one thing: a new job is on the sight. Not that Judai minded that. He loved travelling around the world and solving intriguing cases with his dueling skills. He didn’t continue his studies in a college, nor joined the Pro Leagues like his other friends. No, he just did the same as in his Academia years: slacking and occasionally saving the day. That is the duty of the heroes after all.
…And at least he could be useful in something as well.
Judai spent the last two weeks in this apartment, which he and Johan were renting together. In the first days, it wasn’t so hard to stay put, but Johan went on a holiday to his family in Sweden more than a week ago. He promised that he will get home before the end of summer, yet he messaged his roommate that he had to stay for a few more days. So in the end, Judai was left alone for his birthday.
Okay, not completely alone. At least Pharaoh was there for him, he thought as he strolled out to the kitchen to find some breakfast for his hungry cat. And for himself.
One year had already passed since they graduated from Duel Academia. A lot of things happened to everyone and it appeared that nobody had the time to greet Judai on his birthday. At least none of his friends told him that they would like to see him today. No missed calls, no unread messages yet.
Have they already forgotten him?
No, that was nonsense. They might be just… busy.
Sho and Manjoume have joined the Pro Leagues right after their graduation, so they were already living their restless life just like his other pro friends, Edo and Kaiser. Well, in his Academia years Judai already got used to that Edo is as much unavailable as the Emperor of Japan himself, but it appeared that Kaiser is that kind of celebrity too. Since he more or less recovered from his heart condition, he started a Cyber Pro League along with Sho and they both attended various events actively in the country and lately overseas too. Of course, Kaiser was told that he must not overstrain himself and stress too much in general, but Judai would bet that he disregarded all of those rules anyway. Especially because he hadn’t talked to him in months, so he must be busy as hell as always.
On the other hand, as far as Judai knew the Tenjoin siblings still lived in North America – Asuka was still studying in Duel College for sure while her brother, Fubuki-san was… doing something too, he assumed? Judai hadn’t heard much of them lately, but he knew that Fubuki-san followed his younger sister to chase his dreams and become an idol abroad. Judai didn’t know much about the school system of America, so Asuka might have classes at this very moment, maybe that’s why she hasn’t called him yet.
For his younger friends, Kenzan graduated from Duel Academia this summer, while Rei is going to start her last year in October. Maybe they are both on a vacation right now, enjoying themselves on a beach or something. It was still summer anyway, Judai couldn’t blame them for that.
And oh, there was Aurora, too. She was the roommate of Edo (and maybe his stepsister as well? Or something more? Who knows. She was a mystery anyway), who befriended him less than a year ago. Judai supposed she doesn’t even know that this day is his birthday.
After he gave some salmon flavored cat food and fresh water to Pharaoh, he decided to grab a bowl of cereal for breakfast and lunch at once.
As much he wanted to act like his birthday was nothing, if it was just like any other day, it made him hurt deep inside that nobody, even his closest friends haven’t paid attention to him on his day. He already got used to that his parents don’t care about him, but he thought he found a new family in his friends.
Maybe he was wrong.
But hey, it was him who abandoned them in the first place, Judai reminded himself. He was the one who left the Academia without saying goodbye and ran away from them straight to another country. He shouldn’t feel sad, because he knew that their friends would be estranged from him sooner or later. And he was the only one to blame.
Judai was so lost deep in his thoughts that he didn’t even realize that the milk was long overflowed the bowl and it was already spilling down the table. Pharaoh didn’t waste a single second: he leapt to the white liquid dripping from the edge of the table and licked it with such joy as if he had never tasted it before in his entire life.
“Dammit!” Judai moaned, then hastily wiped the milk off from the table and the parquet.
Oh well. He hadn’t been awake for ten whole minutes yet, but he already knew, birthday or no birthday, this was not going to be his day.
As the day continued, Judai climbed back to the bed and chose to do nothing today besides watching silly TV shows. He could have gone out at least for a walk, that’s true. He lived in Domino City after all, the city he loved the most. If you are a duelist, this is the best place for you in the entire world, especially if you live in downtown. The coast was not too far, Kaiba Land and other fun places were within easy reach too. But nothing was entertaining enough if you had no friends around.
“I feel like you’ve forgotten something,” Judai heard a familiar voice from all of a sudden. Slowly, the television screen became blurry as he was still staring at it, and a demonic shadow appeared at the end of his bed.
“Yubel,” he spoke their name aloud as he closed his eyes. “What did I forget?”
“Me,” came the obvious answer. “Why do you feel so lonely?”
“I’m not lonely. I’m just…” Judai began but then realized that the sentence had no continuation. “No, Yubel, everything’s good.”
“You sure?”
“Uh, yeah! I’m glad you’re here. It is enough for me.”
“You are a bad liar, Judai. You know that?”
“Hey, I mean it! I’m glad you are here, Yubel.”
“… I know.” Yubel smiled, gentler than it was imaginable from them. As they took a short break, their heterochromatic eyes curiously scanned the boy who was bound to them for an eternity. “But I still don’t understand, what is the matter with you?”
Judai didn’t answer their question. At least with words. He thought it was enough for an answer that he checked his phone every five minutes if someone messaged him already. But sadly, nobody had searched him so far.
It was already late afternoon when he finally heard the standard ringtone of his phone. He almost fell asleep again, and the vibrating sound made his heart pound in excitement. He immediately grabbed his phone, but when he checked the screen, he had mixed feelings.
The caller was Aurora, Edo’s roommate. And the last one who Judai thought would call him on his birthday.
“Hello, Rory! What up?” he greeted her, a soft smile unintentionally crossed his lips. But it had soon vanished when Aurora didn’t answer immediately. “Rory? Is something wrong?”
“Judai,” she spoke finally. Her usual melodic voice was trembling somewhat as if she was nervous. “I’m glad I could reach you!”
“Yeah, I mean, you could have totally called me all day! I had nothing to do, you know.” Maybe he shouldn’t have hinted things like these, but still.
“I see. Sorry, Judai, but may I ask you something?” Aurora’s voice still didn’t sound too firm.
“Sure, anytime!” Judai’s eyes sparkled at thought of the adventure. “But you’re fine, aren’t you?”
“Y-Yeah. I just… need to talk with someone. With you.”
“Really? Well, I’d gladly chat with you, but if you wanna talk about some… girlish thing, you know I’m not your man.”
“You will be completely fine. I wanna talk about something else, not girlish things.”
“Something happened with Edo maybe?” Judai guessed.
“Not at all! Ahw Judai, stop asking questions! I will tell you everything if I see you in person. So get ready and come!”
“Come where?”
“I’ll be waiting for you at the entrance of Kaiba Land in fifteen minutes.”
“Why there? You’re not even a duelist—„
“See you later, Judai!”
Before Judai could remark that he may not be there in fifteen minutes, Aurora had already hung up the phone. Surely, she became weirder and weirder. Maybe it was Edo who was a bad influence on her.
When Judai arrived at the said place, he was nearly jumping out of his skin. He was curious about what Aurora wanted to talk to him about, and at the same time, he was glad that he finally had a reason to leave the apartment.
Though it was still a bit unexpected that he would spend his birthday with Aurora, but why not? They were friends after all. He should have thought about her sooner.
“Judai!” Aurora shouted and waved him from the distance.
As he came closer, Aurora silently turned around and headed into the Park. It was almost sunset, the monstrous structures of Kaiba Land were glowing in orange.
“Okay, would you tell me now what are we doing here?” Judai asked while he barely could keep up with her.
“You will see, I promise!”
“Come on, Rory!”
“No worries, we are almost there!”
And that was all she told him, no matter how hard he tried to get more information. But the sparkle of hope ignited in his heart, that something bigger was standing behind this weird invitation.
Kaiba Land was slowly emptied out as the closing hour was coming, so they didn’t meet too many people. Especially as they got deeper and deeper into the amusement park.
They were nearby the rollercoaster when they finally stopped.
“Judai,” Aurora turned to him. “I know that this whole thing came from all of a sudden, and I’m so happy that you followed me without a question anyway.”
“Well, actually—”
“I hope you know that it means a lot to me. Not just me. To all of us.”
“What do you mean?”
“Judai, you have amazing friends. And you are the best among the best for all of them.”
“Rory, I’m not sure I understa—„
“SURPRISE!!”
Shouts were coming from everywhere, and suddenly a shadow of a whole crowd appeared in the dim lights of the setting sun. Before Judai could have the time to react, a short figure stood out from them and started running towards him.
“Happy birthday, Aniki!” Sho shrieked as he bumped into Judai and embraced him closely. Shortly after, he found himself surrounded by people. Surrounded by his friends.
“Happy birthday, Judai!”
“Judai-sama! I wish the bestest birthday in the world to you!”
“Nice to see you, loser! Where the hell have you been for this long?”
“Yeah, Judai, we were all waiting for you!”
“Happy birthday, Aniki-don!”
“Damn, I missed you so much!”
Everyone was there. Asuka and Rei. Manjoume, Fubuki-san and Kenzan. Sho was still holding onto him, almost crying.
“Hehe, surprise! I came back from Sweden today just because of your big day!”
Even Johan was there. He came home finally! Judai couldn’t help, but sudden warmth flowed through his body as Johan hugged him along with everyone else. Even Manjoume was in the crew.
“Hey guys, you flatter me…”
“See, Edo? We almost missed the group hug because of you.” Another familiar voice came from the distance, and when Judai glanced up, he saw Kaiser Ryo and Edo Phoenix’s silhouettes were approaching them.
“Don’t blame me because Kaiba Seto himself wanted to talk with me. But I assume you can still join the group hug if you’re really that desperate.”
When the pros reached the crew, they greeted Judai in unison.
“Happy birthday, Judai!”
“You two…”
“In fact, these two were the masterminds for this plan,” Aurora joined the celebration too. “Happiest birthday for you!”
With suppressed tears in his eyes, Judai looked around his friends. Yeah, Aurora had right. He had the best friends in the world and now he felt terrible guilt that he had ever questioned them. Yubel were right after all, for not understanding what was his problem. Now he didn’t understand too.
“Okay, who wants some cake?”
“WAIT, we have cake?” Judai asked in shock. How the hell did they bring it to here?
“Of course! I mean you have it, Judai,” Asuka corrected him.
Before Judai could shout in happiness, his phone started ringing again. To his surprise, Chancellor Samejima called him.
“Happy birthday, Judai! Are you ready for your next adventure?”
Judai couldn’t help but smile again.
“Ready as I’ll ever be!”

You sat in front of your laptop, anxiously waiting for pledis to open up the site to buy Seventeen's concert ticket, you weren't sure if you would get a chance since they have been getting more and more popular with their career, your friend Miu was seated beside you with the same anxious expression.
"You think we would be able to snatch the tickets before it gets sold out?"
Your eyes were trained on the time that was showing at the corner of your laptop, you had tried to go to their concert before too but the first time you did, you were 2 minutes late and the other time the site crashed, you weren't going to give up this time around since they were going to be at your city and you've been staring at the opened site from the last one hour, you were sure you would get it this time.
"I swear to God I'll go feral if I don't get it this time, I just have one damn wish to see them live at least once in my whole lifetime, it shouldn't be that hard."
Your friend just giggled at your anxious state even though she felt the same but you had been waiting for this time way before she did and she understood how you felt.
The notification for the tickets to be ready to sell popped up and you immediately started the process of buying two seats in the front row although you knew it would be hard to get.
You had been practicing how to buy the ticket fastest ever since you lost the chance due to your naivety and less experience in the said field but you had spent the last couple of days watching how to buy tickets fast and you were hoping that your finger would work magic this time around.
You had Miu's laptop opened in case you couldn't do it with your own but you were hoping you wouldn't reach that stage, you were hoping for the front seats but you wouldn't mind getting anywhere at this point.
Your heart was beating loudly and your hands were shaking due to nervousness, Miu leaned closer to the laptop screen yelling incoherent words which went above your head and you gave your card details ending the process.
You looked towards Miu and then back at the screen multiple times yelling in victory once you got the notification that you got your tickets.
"WE DID IT."
You crawled on the floor as if all the strength had left your body and you and Miu stayed there for what seemed like eternity, wide grins plastered on both of your faces, you finally got a ticket for Seventeen's concert.
▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️
"Miu, get ready fast, you don't wanna be late for the concert, I'm literally going to pass out if you don't hurry up, I'm getting dizzy."
You hurriedly put your earrings on, taking a run towards your shoes, you wanted to wear as comfortable clothes as possible, you knew the arena had seats for the audience but you wanted to wear something which was well planned but comfortable, it wasn't like any of the boys would notice your presence to over dress yourself and feel uncomfortable all throughout the concert, you wanted to enjoy it as much as possible, it was once in a life chance.
"I'm ready, let's go, I booked the cab and it's waiting outside."
You locked your apartment, making a run towards the cab and getting seated. Your throat felt dry and you were sure you would cry due to being overwhelmed.
You had followed the boys ever since their debut days but since you were also young your parents didn't allow you to go to the concert but now that you were finally going to see them, you were about to piss your pants.
You heard they would be in your city for almost two weeks before finally going to another city and you were glad they would spend the next two weeks relaxing along with practicing for the next concert.
The next few hours were a blur to you as you found yourself seated in your assigned seat in the front row, it was a bit to the left of the center but front row nonetheless.
"We're going to get noticed by them, I hope we do."
Miu yelled since the screams of the other carats were too loud, you were massaging your elbow since someone knocked you sideways and you collided with the wall due to the impact.
Carats can be wild when they want, the journey from the gates till the seats were one hell of a ride, you don't even know which of your body parts was hurt at this point.
"Just be glad we were able to attend the concert and were lucky enough to get the front row, it's still the dream of many carats, although it would be nice to get noticed by them, let's not make our hopes high."
You dismissed her from talking any further, you wanted to save your yelling for the fanchants. The large screen started showing the music videos of the boys from debut till the recent one and you were shocked to see everyone chanting the fanchant even at the music videos, you followed soon jumping and yelling at the same time and dancing the choreography you've learnt by heart.
The countdown began and the cheers got louder and louder as the boys made their grand entrance with Clap blasting all throughout the arena.
"ARE YOU READY?"
You could feel your eyes water and tears escaped your eyes as you took in their sites clad in king like outfits with red sash, it was a dream come true, you eyes scanned each other the boys as they performed their first song.
"Bro, is this even real?"
You shook your head not feeling it in your system to even utter a single word as you kept on cheering for the boys with a bongbong in your hand. Every single one of them looked so good you weren't sure if they were real at this point.
"Say the name, Seventeen."
The boys greeted as everyone vowed down and did their individual greetings.
"HOW ARE YOU FEELING CARATS?"
Everyone screamed as Vernon started talking, making the others laugh because he couldn't continue.
"Okay we know you're excited but please calm down."
The crowd comparatively calmed down as the members continued interacting with carats.
Every carat beside you kept on cheering and screaming their name but all you could do was stare at them in complete awe, so much for practicing to do fanchants when you weren't even able to open your mouth even when they were just talking with each other.
You calmed your nerves, a foolish smile on your face as they introduced their next song to be a vocal unit song 'Second life'. You smiled when you realized that your favorite song was up next and you cheered loudly when the boys came on the stage, dressed differently.
You nodded your head along with the bongbong in your hand as you looked at whichever member near to you, getting lost at how beautiful they sounded live.
The crowd cheered loudly again and you looked at Miu in confusion.
"They are carrying roses in their hands, maybe they'll give it to some of the carats."
Your eyes widened in shock as you took a look at the members holding single roses in their hand and disperse among the wide stage.
From where you were seated, you could clearly see Joshua and Jihoon walking towards the left of the center, where you were seated. The carats near you screamed as you just watched them, Jihoon stopped midway where as Joshua stopped right where you were.
The cheers got more loud from your side when Joshua looked down, his eyes making a contact with yours, a gentle smile adorning his face as he waved at you.
He squats down when you didn't move from your seat, you could still hear other's deafening screams but you weren't sure what was happening.
He outstretched his hands towards you motioning you to take the rose in his hands.
You just sat there looking at him shocked, the bongbong in your hand was on your lap, you couldn't even react as Miu and others yelled how lucky you were to get noticed by him.
You slowly stood up and Miu pushed you towards his direction as you shakingly reached your hands and took the flower from his hand, your hand brushed his during the process and you were sure seeing the stars.
He put the mic back and sang his lines.
"We’re already beautiful, I like it because it’s us, no words are necessary, the gaze, the touch."
He got up as he sang, eyes never leaving yours and you were sure your face was as red as tomato.
"What just happened?"
