Good evening ! I'm super early today, i just, really don't feel that well

like, i had a nice day, don't get me wrong, i watched with my partner our favorite youtuber and it was really nice

but fuck, like, im trying to get more at peace with my birthday since it's a really tough day for me for things i don't want to talk about on tumblr where everyone can see it

so, like, i just wanted to get downtown and have a fun time with my roommates and my partner, and so i asked if they preferred if we go for or after lunch (because of money)

and then, one of my roommates said "im not going out on the 31rd, ive got bet-[she interrupted herself] things to do, like to be ready for my classes."

like, i know, i fucking know that she didn't mean to hurt me, she just doesn't have any tact, but she knows about how hard my birthday is for me, she was the only one i went out with last year and we found out that some friends were also downtown so we went to see them

like, im almost crying bc of her. like, girl, we talked about you needing more tact, i can't be mad -i don't have the energy for- but it still hurt as fuck

I'm sorry this is so horrifically long, but you ended up asking about one of my longest and long-standing projects! And please feel free to send as many asks as you like!

I don't even remember what I saw that reminded me of the concept of a Soulmate Goose (AO3 tag: "Alternate Universe - The Soulmate Goose of Enforcement"), wherein the premise is: one day, you wake up with a goose sitting on you and it leads you in some way or another to your soulmate, shenanigans ensue (it's often paired with the tag "Goose-typical violence"), and then you say oh and kiss and/or complete whatever other romantic rituals the author deems necessary, the goose disappears, and presumably, you continue to kiss and hold hands for eternity or whatever.

At around the same time, a friend informed me that Cody calls Anakin almost exclusively by his first name in the books and comics and the sheer disrespect necessary for that to happen absolutely killed me. I did not and will not be doing a fact-check because I believe we need whatever droplets of joy we can wring from this wretched washcloth of a timeline.

Looking at the dates, I'd just published my first Clone Wars fic and discovered two things in the process: 1) I needed to write more clone relationships immediately; 2) Cody's a right bastard.

Naturally, I decided it would be hilarious for Cody to get his goose and for it to run directly for Rex…only to be intercepted by one Anakin Skywalker. Anakin is, of course, enthralled with the idea of true love and building a home and a sense of belonging.

Cody would rather put own his eyes out with a spork. Hijinks ensue.

I started writing from Cody's perspective and got pretty well into it before I realized that in order for this rom-com scenario to work he'd have to: 1) realize that Rex likes him very much, 2) realize that, he, too likes Rex as a human person. At this point in the story they'd been fucking for months. Cody has been extremely chill and very relaxed about Rex in the CC groupchat. There was a whole thing with a grenade and a compass.

So I had to start over with someone who both had at least 50% of this mission-critical information, or at least the ability to stop playing 5D asshole chess with himself to figure it out, and also didn't make me want to do a little recreational enucleation.

Sorry, Rex.

A couple other fun facts:

The goose is a manifestation of the Living Force and therefore cannot die. Cody discovers this and starts sending GT-0101 on air reconnaissance missions.

The goose will not be paid in kisses or revelations. The goose demands blood. The goose will only accept human sacrifice; that is, total emotional honesty and nothing less.

(Does Cody just end up dying with the goose still next to him? Who can say.)

What this means is that you could fuck in front of the goose all the livelong day and it would remain, with its beady eyes and horrible beak teeth.

Cody is the first clone to get a goose. Make of that what you will.

Skywalker seems to have clasped Cody’s hands over his death grip on the bird, and Rex can practically smell the yearning as his general makes aggressively optimistic eye contact. Cody doesn’t break his glare because he’s always been braver than Rex. “Skywalker,” he says. “Don’t make me take your other hand.” Rex turns back to General Kenobi. “You want to put credits on that, sir?” “The Force works in mysterious ways,” Kenobi says, much too cheerful, and gives Rex a side hug, something he has never done before in his life. Everyone is being extremely normal about this.

i have seen snow! but it was ages ago when we went up to kashmir and some places in the himachal. it was too cold and freezing but a good experience 🤍 ooh you live in maharashtra, i have quite a few relatives there!! i'm currently in the uk so timezone would be gmt (5.5 hours behind you)

all the bright places, without giving spoilers, is basically about two depressed teens working together on a school project. it sounds bad, but it is very lovely! i will for sure add all that's left in the world to my reading list ✨

as for bucket list, always wanted to go to a 1d concert, but then hiatus happened, so i was like okay that's alright, solo concert then, and i got to see louis and harry earlier this year and louis was my first concert ever and it was such a good time ✨ what about you? what's one thing from your bucket list you've done?

About the drawing: I decided to draw Hannah working on DEL!! Right now she's trying to make sure it looks all good before seeing how the face projection goes. And yes, the background is a moon with a light blue hue. Gotta include your husband in it somehow!! I do hope that the glasses don't look off, I've never drawn glasses like them before haha.

About you: Gosh, where do I even begin? You've been so so SO inspiring to me during the whole time I've known you!! You got me into selfshipping, you've recently(ish) helped me finish a while story, something I've NEVER done before, and you've helped me with countless drawings and even a few s/i designs! About the drawing: I was thinking about doing your bug bunny s/i, or your Scratch s/i, hell I even considered your new Mario s/i (as I am hyperfixated on the franchise lol), but in the end I went with the one who you seemed to be thinking about a lot rn. And btw, I love her design so much!! It's so simple yet so eye catching. I decided to do a small little callback to a small story you wrote with her and Fethery(def spelled his name wrong), a story of how they first met. She's sitting on the beach with an easel, trying to think of what she wants to paint. I also specifically 1. Put 2 seagulls in the back to represent the couple :) and 2. Put the clouds around her head, as if she's got her head in the clouds. I also remembered that pink is your favorite color, soooo pink beach! Also I hope the eyes are okay, I somewhat struggled 😭

About you: Okay so. Hi. You barely know me haha, but I've been seeing your art for a long time thanks to people reblogging it. Took me a bit to follow, but man was it worth it. Your art is just...so, SO pretty and beautiful!! It makes me feel all soft and relaxed, not to mention me awwing or laughing when you draw your selfships!! About the drawing: I soooorta tried to so a special spin with the hair, which I hope is okay!! I wanted it to be spikey but soft at the same time, representing that while she lives in a villain castle, she's actually pretty kind. Also I AM SO SORRY I FORGOT THE EYEBROWS BUT IT'S WAY TOO LATE FOR ME TO ADD THEM NOW AND LIKE AAAAAA. Also, I believe that once you said that Kamek taught you magic, so I figured that yours would end up looking similar to his!! I also designed the background with him in mind, doing his little magic pattern and coloring it blue and a (almost) white, but like his robes and hat!

About you: Okay so 1. Mario Selfshipper hell freaking yeah 2. I was actually a little...rude at first I guess. I saw what you identified as, and I was admittedly sceptical. But I put some thought into it, looked at that one ask you answered, and looked it up. You kinda helped me be even more open minded, and for that, I thank you. Also, I never even thought of someone selfshipping with a blue little wizard, but seeing yours with him is so cute!! Especially since you've loved him for a long, long time, like me and Weegee!! About the drawing: I def wanted the spooky Queen to have a spooky vibe, so I made her as spooky as I could without it being full out horror. The hair curls may look odd, and I'm sorry about that, but I was trying my best to make them look like the Dark Moon from Luigi's Mansion 2, just in hair form!! I also made the shadow part of the background a slight blue, for your king ofc. And you know I HAD to add some boos!! I did put a bit more white in the middle however, as I have the small hc that Boos softly glow when in the dark, like a night light!!

About you: Oh my GOD your art is so freaking good!!!! Like holy crap!!!! You can make such super complicated designs and just, draw them over and over, perfectly!!! It's so insane and awesome!!! I still treasure that b-day gift you made me it's so goooooood. Also, you're just so sweet!! Like, super duper sweet!! You're so kind and caring and welcoming, it's awesome!! Listen. L i s t e n. I have a Whump sideblog. My story has to have some kind of hurt/comfort otherwise I’m doing something wrong. I’ve said this a thousand times before and I’ll keep saying it until someone beats me till I shut up: my projection onto fictional characters is not a hobby it is an ART FORM

Non-rambly version: Hurt/Comfort is very much a stress reliever for me, whether it be writing it or reading it, especially familial focused comfort. I  c r a v e

17. On average, how much writing do you get done in a day? 

If we go with the literal definition of average, I technically get in about 320 words to 645 words a day. I will go weeks without touching my files and then I’ll magically get a spurt of days where I just vomit 10k-20k words that I originally wanted to spread out more evenly but #ProfessionalProcrastinator. Never gonna lose that fact about me anytime soon apparently 

23. Single or multi POV, and why?

Oi vey, I can’t seem to properly answer this question. I wanna say Single since the majority of my fics are written with it, but I also wanna say Multi since some of my biggest and most popular fics are that, but certain Single fics I have are some of my most favorite to have written, but then there’s a few Multi I’ve written that I just adore and aaaaaa--

I have to concede and say it’s a 50/50 opinion right now

25. Linear or non-linear, and why?

Linear all the way babeee. I’ve dabbled with non-linear ocassionally (like flashbacks/scene changes into the past) and am okay with it but, like, my mind is a giant train that is stuck on its track until the end. I suppose it also has to do with my brain and how it can occasionally get confused if there are too many non-linear jumps and such, so I tend to make sure to have a Point A and Point B with a clear straight line from one to the other

41. How many stories do you work on at one time?

Some time ago I tended to work on only one since I worried that if I jumped around too much I would lose motivation and the dreaded Writer’s Block would hit me harder, buuuut nowadays I have like 3-5 tabs open with different fics since I found out that Hey if I get down the snippets I like right away it’s easier to write the fic in the long run. W o w. What a concept
