Ya girl loves some vintage/history stuff, can I request what Tae was like during the 1920s? Where he enjoyed going? If he secretly enjoyed alcohol during the prohibition? What sort of clubs he went to? Etc..? And maybe a bonus for what Yoongi was like/dressed like during that time ❣️ -chaotic anon 💃🏼🎶🎶
Girl me too djdjdj anon I rlly just 😩💕 enjoy your presence
Okay so (oh my god this is going to give me a strOKE writing this, I’m going to start foaming at the mouth and my eyes are going to ROLL INTO THE BACK OF MY HEAD) *cough* aNyWaY
Vamp!Tae during the ‘20s includes; 100% the typical fashion—the cinched, high-waisted slacks (his waist? SNATCHED!) with suspenders, definitely wore the little vest with the chain of his pocket watch slung across his side, suit jacket to match the vest n’ slacks, he wore a tie and preferred the newsboy hat during the day—he looked very proper during the day; dashing, exquisite. He would wander through the towns during the day, enjoying coffee to stay warm to the touch, in and out of shops, he would gather books from the library (some he never returned) and he would do some independent studying, he even compelled his way into a few college classes from time to time.
But at night, he shed the jacket, loosened the tie, and popped the first button on his dress shirt, a little scandalous at the time, even for a man. A dark look and an alluring smile beckoning you to the corner table of the speakeasy where he most definitely drank during the prohibition. He liked going to the speakeasies, even if he didn’t always drink, he would just go to chat and enjoy some tunes. He had a way with picking up people; he was suave, a smooth talker, he knew all the best—and of course, illegal—spots to drink, also all the best spots to walk through at night, he would talk for hours and share his knowledge and theories, amusing people with his stories. He had an array of...friends, you could say, he’s not picky about gender and he certainly wasn’t during the ‘20s, it was all hush-hush of course, he had a reputation. He was well known because he was handsome, smooth, educated, talented, mysterious and he rubbed palms with the well known, high class folk of the town—some even thought he ran with a gang—but he didn’t, he did, however, enjoy playing and betting with them during card games in these illegal bars. He almost always won, putting quite a price on his head—but even they liked him too much. A lot of people did, you could say Tae peaked in the ‘20s; he bounced around a lot, he got to experience the ‘20s in a variety of cities where met a variety of people, he enjoyed all of the favorable things the ‘20s had to offer—he loved the evolution and progression of society, how loose, and fun, and new it had all become—under the looming fear everyone shared, ya know—but he loved it. He had always loved art but this is where his love truly bloomed and he started taking up painting more seriously, he put time and effort into it, studied it in school. There are a few of his nameless paintings of his out there, all produced and sold anonymously—so no know but him knows where they are now.
So, you could say he partied like Gatsby, but Tae being Tae, took things seriously at times, he followed his love for art and music, his need for knowledge, he did make some nice, genuine friends during this time as well, he lived life as it came and floated through it doing whatever he desired.
Witch!Yoongi, on the other hand, kept more to himself during this time, holed up in his own house, doing the same thing he does today—studying, creating theories, he’s always on the hunt for something. He dressed the same during the era, though he favored skipping the vest and just wearing the suspenders and a jacket, he hated the tie so he never wore it—some thought that was a little odd and informal. People thought him to be a recluse, and he was, though they assumed he worked under the table for someone; a gang, a mod, some top shop boss because of all the research he did and how little people knew about him, and how unfriendly he seemed. People were always curious about his friendship with Tae, because they were quite different people from each other but they talked an awful lot, and what about was hush-hush too.
They always shared knowledge, debated, and talked theories, Tae had even helped Yoongi with some of his research at times. “What does he do with all of his time? Why doesn’t your friend come out with you? And why is he so...reserved?” People would ask Tae, and he would chuckle and shake his head, “He’s not one for the social scene, that man has dedicated his life to knowledge, but he’s not bad once you get to know him.”
On the nights, or even the days, where Tae would successfully convince Yoongi to come out with him, they would get rowdy. Tae and Yoongi would gang up on people, pick arguments, debate with them, challenge their knowledge and most definitely do this while destroying them during card games—how many tables were flipped? Too many to count. It’s all fun and games until someone gets a little too butthurt and pulls a gun, Yoongi laughs in their face, Tae isn’t far behind him with a sinister chuckle, his tongue darting out to lick the corner of his lips, the fun is just starting now, Tae was always itching for a rush during the ‘20s. Yoongi challenges them to pull the trigger, taunts them with words of encouragement and insults, before they pull the trigger Tae comes in swinging, and a bar fight starts—Tae and Yoongi manage to disappear before they get looped in for real, and they leave the scene behind them. They stumble down the street laughing and talking about the next town they’ll head to—because they travel together, and they always have.
