Stepping Back! - The Next Story Begins

"So you do want to see it?" They gasped in excitement, the Distortion could barely contain their joy. "Detour time it is!! This is going to be so interesting! Now, before we start I think you should know one little itty bitty thing." "This is the past, you can do whatever you want! But you can't change the present. So don't try! Things might get a little funny if you do, I don't suggest it! You might break something! Then I'll really get in trouble!" "Oh! And please, if you see her, try not to get the little fox in too much trouble. She is very unforgiving, I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to either of you." "Anyway, I'll come get you later okay? Have fun now!!"

→ A new chapter has begun.

→ Seems someone couldn't sleep... a familiar face? Something didn't seem quite right however. This wasn't the fox you knew.

Nervously he began to look around the dark room, scanning the area. He appeared to be surrounded by various other sleeping Pokemon. Each one looked to be some kind of hybrid just as he was... every one of them seemed to be about his age. He gave a tiny exhale of relief, they were all asleep, good. With great and practised caution the fox stood up and quietly began to find his way out of the maze of sleeping bodies. He was glancing back every so often to make sure everyone was still asleep.

After stepping over a few Zorua's he soon found his way out. He gave a relieved sigh, another conflict avoided. The fox looked around once more before bolting out of the room and towards the outside. He however was quickly greeted by a large fence.

A break in the fence? Perhaps something he dug out?

Despite being quite small he seemed to struggle greatly with squeezing his way through, but eventually, after a moment of frantic struggling the fox fell forward with a loud yipe. Yikes. Hopefully, all that noise didn't wake anyone up.
