Me and my dad are watching One Piece together (I've already watched it, he hasn't) and because the streaming service we're using has Egghead as the title screen my dad will keep asking me "When do the Strawhat's get their space ship" and every time I can feel more of my sanity slip between my fingers, and my dad, the bastard, is well aware of this. So you can imagine how he reacted when he found out Eneru made an actual spaceship.

I regret introducing him to One Piece. He's just found more ways to annoy me.

#i say this all affectionately #i fuckin love my dad #i cannot WAIT to see him react to Merry's death. He bawled over Bellemere so I just KNOW he's gonna be heartbroken over Merry #I'd be surprised if he can't tell already tho that we're gonna lose Merry #he's very good at predicting things #and oda hasn't exactly been subtle #tho i'm not sure if he's guessed she's going to die much less how emotional it'll be #he probably just thinks they'll say goodbye to her and get a new ship instead #he def suspects something considering how many times i've winced or protested whenever Merry gets damaged #i had to look away when Merry hit the water after Skypiea bc that's when her keel cracked #god she was such a strong ship to have pushed through that for three more arcs
