So, I’ve finally caught up on Critical Role. It’s been a hot minute and I am still an emotional wreck? I can’t stop thinking about it tbh. But anyway. Here is a list of some of my favorite moments of this campaign after my first watch through, in no particular order, because I need to process.

1. Caylie being Scanlan’s daughter and that time Scanlan said “Oi, Shorthalt.” It ruined my life and I still think about it and get emotional.

2. Scanlan turning around and using modify memory on the guard in the City of Brass.

3. That time they told everyone in Syngorn that they were a polyamorous group.

4. “O’ sweet Nymph!…The clouds never were quite so fluff-ey.”

5. Grog and Scanlan go shopping for hats.

6. Grog walks his badass self into the city to face down Kev’dak. Pretty sure he calls Kev’dak a dragon’s bitch? Amazing

7. That time they pitted a demon against a dragon and it somehow worked?

8. Vex opens the door, COMPLETELY NAKED.

9. And then, of course, the infamous bath scene.

10. “Spice? Spice? Do you spice?” (And then when they couldn’t figure out how to take the drugs!!!)

11. Tary and Grog go shopping and almost kill some guards.

12. “You know I’m in love with you, right?”

13. Allura and Kima confirmed. And then married. A Power Couple™

14. Vax got the final blow on Thordak and it was glorious.

15. Keyleth’s feeble mind in the Raishan fight. This and Scanlan’s modify memory are some of the most clutch moments VM ever had.

16. That time they couldn’t get in the door. It took three spells and some damage to get in an abandoned church. The curse of the doors began.

17. COWMAGFLAGE AND SNEAKY BATS

18. “Faeries, we are napping.”

19. FIX HIM.

20. That time the women said fuck you and went to find Clarota anyway.

21. “In fact, we’ll be keeping your weapons, your armor, and, I believe, your pride.”

22. That time Pike immediately opened Scanlan’s letter.

23. The fall of Emon. Terrible, but incredibly done. Kudos to Matt.

24. That fight over the skull in Percy’s workshop. Vex was caught in between her real life husband and her fake husband (although not at the time, but still).

25. Taryon Darrington’s fucking speech to his father.

26. Keyleth’s final speech after the defeat of Vecna.

27. Also, that time they were cramped in a stairwell and she decided to halt the party’s progress into a speakeasy to give a speech.

28. That time Scanlan went to burn down one of the houses in Whitestone. He became a dinosaur and then climbed up to the roof before realizing “oh shit” I have no way to start a fire and no way to get out of here. 😂😂😂

29. That moment when you figure out that the dead people on the tree are representing VM.

30. Grog singing to bring Scanlan back.

31. Vex shooting at the chickens, rolling a nat 1 and shooting Scanlan in the neck.

32. Goldfish Keyleth. “We’re practically gods.”

33. The first time Vax visits the Raven Queen.

I’ve watched some of the one shots and they’re gold. Still need to watch a few.
