this is driving me insane. they have an entire imperial bureaucracy with a civil service exam and they still don't have coinage??? we are literally inventing equity and stocks and they still don't have banks?????
#I wonder if there's some kind of ban on 古装剧 showing coinage because I feel like everything in recent memory uses spray-painted rocks#but the irregularly-shaped rocks as a form of currency is driving me insane. how do they buy their groceries#does every vendor have a scale that they use to weigh the rocks. literally how does this system even function#《庆余年》#normally I wouldn't care but if we are inventing stocks in my cdrama then I'm going to have to start drawing the line somewhere
