Some of the claims made in this fandom about sign language have made me very skeptical (I will never get over the ridiculous of claiming that Louis was signing ‘nag’ - rather than just using a common gesture).

I think those videos are very convincing - particularly in the context of this article from the mother of a deaf child.  That article explains that there was a sign-language interpreter - which would explain how Harry knew there were Deaf fans and where they were sitting. Thank you (which is the same in BSL and ASL) isn’t a common gesture.

I’m not at all surprised that Harry (or any of the others) learnt a few signs when they knew they had deaf fans in the audience.  It’s very consistent with how they treat fans more broadly.  I don’t think he’d necessarily remember them now (likewise I think it’s likely that Louis learnt a few signs for the fan at socceraid, but it’s not lying that he doesn’t remember them now or even learning them - particularly under the circumstances).

-he will probably ask you to record some lullaby songs so he can listen to them and try to fall asleep with your voice bc he definitely crushes on you and you know it by now lol (he’s trying to make it romantic but it’s a bit creepy bby but we love you ♥)

🐻Shownu: Gym Coach. He would be the sporty, track suit wearing, cool young gym coach. He wears a silver whistle around his neck and you can always hear it from across campus. You can find him in the cafeteria asking for seconds. He’s a very encouraging and kind coach. “Come on, you can do 10 more pushups, I know you can!!!!!!!!” He likes dodge ball a lot and for the most smiley guy on campus he sure does throw like he’s trying to send everybody to the hospital. Or maybe he doesn’t realize his own strength. DON’T CHALLENGE HIM IN BASKETBALL. DON’T MEET HIM ON THE COURT. DON’T DO IT. He is the teacher that is IMMENSELY smart but because of his demeanor, students don’t take him seriously. He talks veeeeery slowly and carefully. Always looks like he got -100 hours of sleep and blinks slow like a turtle. He’s not a very fun teacher but he’s nice and knows how to explain concepts thoroughly and easily. Says deeply philosophical things all of the time. He won’t give a lot of homework and straight up says he doesn’t feel like grading all of it. “I know you’re still waiting on your test grades but…I haven’t graded them yet.” He’s the teacher that makes a lot of puns. Before he snaps on disruptive students, he usually becomes very sassy. “Oh you were late to my class again…Maybe you wouldn’t be so late all the time if you had better shoes to walk in.” WILL ROAST YOU. Has a bowl of candy on his desk not for students but for himself. If he hears you eating in class he says “You better have enough to share with everyone” and by everyone he means himself. Teacher that goes BUCKWILD at the end of the year. He becomes extremely fun the last week of school. School rumor: A student tried to copy his mantis dance and ended up in the hospital🐻Kihyun: Chorus, History, Foreign Language, or Literature. Head of the school Book Club. Loves poetry. He doesn’t care if you’re late so long as you have a good excuse. He would assign a lot of homework but the homework wouldn’t really be for a grade. He’d send home a packet of poems with his students then ask the next class period what they thought or which were their favorites. His tests are very easy and come straight from his lessons (which are full of a lot of gesturing and hand waving) if you’ve paid attention but if you zone out for A SECOND during any lesson you’ll probably fail the whole test. His extra credit would be hard. He’d want you to do some analysis on some of the most complicated works he could find not because he’s trying to be mean but because he wants you to really *think*.
