Fig. 1: Winterhorn live on high mountains and in groups, usually bearing short coats of fur with spring-like legs that act as both an effective way to traverse their terrain and as a way to spread out cold air and keep them warm.

Fig. 2: while known to be peaceful to other members of their group, fights over prey or leadership break out and the winterhorn will use it's namesake as a weapon during the fight. The horns are made of ice and the first one to shatter their horn(s) loses. During the process of regrowing them, the horns begin with one long spike and descending icicle-like branches that eventually curl upwards into their distinct shape.

Fig. 3: A fully grown horn curls inward on a winterhorn's head and, if the heartless remains healthy, only gets shed when spring arrives. The winterhorn remains without it's antlers until it regrows them in the fall.
