I have not forgotten the mini mushroom guy pattern or the Toothless backpack! It's just been a stressful week at work and it's my birthday week so I am letting myself follow my crafting whims a little more than I usually do

Crafting update: I've crocheted a few more rounds on the lovey, am almost done with another knit beanie, quilted a few more squares on the hand quilted baby quilt experiment, and keep getting sidetracked I've also gotten to the point in my Spanish learning where it's started to help on days where my brain loses access to a random assortment of words for a bit, in that I can usually still come up with the Spanish word even if the English word is unfindable, but unhelpful in that no one else in my family speaks Spanish I mean, they are learning some because of me? But not much lol

#I mean. not that I don't follow my whims other times #but normally I'd be a bit better about finishing a project completely before setting it aside #when it's so close to done #and instead I am kinda making things at random #almost my birthday! I will be 30 #I was 29 when y'all explained to me I was ambidextrous #which is (to me) kind of hilariously late to learn that #especially since I did do activities where it did come up!#I did martial arts! my instructors talked about left handed vs right handed stances!#and I never really understood why it mattered and would swap between them interchangeably #they taught us a special walk so you'd move forward without switching which was your leading foot #so that if you are right handed your right foot stays in back to be better able to kick #and I did learn it but was like why???? just kick with the other leg #so it wasn't that it never came up I just thought the other people were bad at kicking things
