night: What does your OC wear to sleep? Do they have a favorite pair of PJs, or are they more the birthday suit type?

Balthazar's not really fond of sleeping naked when he's on his own. It feels like unnecessary exposure, and it's too cold most of the year. Before the wings he usually slept in a shirt and underwear. After them it started feeling like a hassle to change shirts to sleep, so gradually it became just underwear. He also often wraps his hair in a scarf before sleeping.

formal: What's your OC's formal look? Do they like dressing up? Do they have different looks for different occasions?

It's hard to pin down just one, because he's definitely the sort who loves having a wardrobe for every occasion and every mood! Really, there's probably not so much difference between his everyday clothing and formal clothing because he enjoys dressing in such a flashy way any time he can get away with it. I suppose it would be a difference mostly of degree. Certainly it would have his heels, and it would be in the kinds of bold colors he enjoys so much. Something with an outer layer in heavy gold woven brocade or bright velvet for the cooler seasons, or in fine, light cotton or silk or chiffon for the warmer. Terribly decadent and flashy as always. And of course it's his way to love detailing in ribbon or lace or detailed embroidery. Having access to a personal tailor is one of the great delights of being a noble for him... he's got some finicky ask for Sharel every season. All that extravagance with eye catching jewelry to complete the look- he's always flirting a bit with the limit of what's too much, but always with a careful eye on what runs the risk of becoming vulgar. But he's good at striking that balance. And he loves to be the most commanding thing in a room. He loves the thrill of turning heads. As tiresome as they can be, he loves formal events for that opportunity to show off.

bling: What jewelry does your OC wear? Does it have any meaning?

Balthazar is especially fond of earrings and pins, brooches, hairpins, and cufflinks- things which are eye catching but don't dominate a look. He wears rings on occasion depending on the outfit (but nothing too ostentatious). He favors gold, and prefers things in diamond or tear shapes. It's an aesthetic preference without much other meaning. Very little of his jewelry has special meaning attached- he just likes collecting things he enjoys the look of. And being able to have a collection of things to match specific whims or outfits is very satisfying. He's not fond of things that feel too loose or like they'll catch on something, which is part of the reason he's not especially fond of necklaces or bracelets. Although things tight enough to feel like a collar or cuffs are no better. There's never a medium he's quite satisfied with between those.

He often has Nyrissa's charm on his person somewhere- sometimes worn tucked out of sight, sometimes carried in a pocket. A token of a hated rival.
