People on this site are a) so dumb and b) such assholes.

The average OFMD fan has already watched most if not all of these shows, because they're completely mainstream. I know that it's become very easy to pretend there are two discrete categories of humans, those who like silly/fun things and those who like serious things, but in actual fact ... nice dichotomy, idiot; what lies beyond it?

I've seen this reblogged so many times on my dash today, and I'm just really sick of it. I'm sick of people showing off how much they hate OFMD fans because we talk about how much we feel seen/represented by our show and we (gasp) write fanfiction, which is inherently cringe to children still in the phase where they think they're cool.

@wearfinethingsalltoowell - Because it's not a real reclist, it's a list of queer shows they think we wouldn't like because we're uwu soft beans. The joke is the idea that OFMD fans have never heard of them (because people only like one genre of television) and so will watch them expecting queer joy and be surprised when they're moderately dark.
