I managed to keep myself distracted most of the day and the dread is slightly better but every once in a while I become aware that this is actually real and it's going to happen or I remember how excited I was about the idea of living in the US under the first woman president and how historic that would be and I just feel a mix of rage and despair bubble up again. It's probably going to feel like that for a long time.
