I have literally two fics with MCD so it could be either 💀 but to me, it's gotta be I know I'll never get it (there's not a day that I won't try)

I have literally no idea?? I don't really do unhappy endings (apart from MCD, and even then very rarely) so I could say any of them

8. Do you get hate on fics?

not really?? I got a bitchy comment once but that was about like. nothing related to the fic, which was weird osieugnsoeiugnfdivjn

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

yes. I don't know, I just- sit down and type it? idk what kind, I've written a wide range of different smuts I believe.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

that will depend on what you view as crossover. httyd au could be considered a crossover bc toothless and the fury light are literally part of the story??? the one where they are shadowhunters with our lord and saviour Magnus bane making an appearance (and Alec being mentioned). the proposal au? (I wouldn't say Lucifer au is a crossover bc I literally just based myself on the whole idea of celestial beings and whatnot. maybe it's a bible crossover??)

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

not that I am aware of, and I fucking hope not!!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

I've had a request for it, but I'm not sure if the person is still thinking about it or what's going on. it would be an honour!!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

YES!!!! THE JUSTLY FIC!!!!!!! I love this fic so much and I love justi so much (debatable, we are in our enemies phase right now so I don't think I can say that in public) and it was SO MUCH FUN and I love writing with friends and I sure want to do it again!!! (friends..... if you want..... you know where to find me...... 😏😏)

14. What’s your all-time favourite ship?

definitely piarles. I will sometimes venture myself into other ships (especially if I want to write for a fren and I don't mind that ship)

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I don't have any published work that's unfinished bc I keep myself on a very tight leash about wips. if I start posting it, bet that I already have at least half of that story written and the rest is already meticulously planned. I have a few half-finished wips on my docs tho, but if I stop writing it's usually bc it's not bringing me any joy anymore. the nanny x ceo tho.... I stopped that one bc I got a bit depresso espresso at the time and life got busy as shit but I want to finish it so badly.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I ask myself that every day kkkkkkkkkkk I guess the fact that I can write really quickly? like if I have an idea I can just write down a whole 10k in like. 2 or 3 days.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

first of all I can't shut the fuck up. I have to restrain myself when I want to write anything less than 5k. im not sure if it's a weakness per se but yeah.

I also am very aware I have issues with describing the locations and with ending a fic. like. I never fucking know how to.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I don't mind when it's specific words or the occasional phrase and there's a translation to it. other than that, I won't lie, I kindof despise it. I can't speak, for example, Italian, so what is the point of reading a fic where the whole dialogue is in Italian if I won't understand shit?

19. First fandom you wrote for?

I couldn't possibly choose only one! all the fics I post is because they bring me joy and I love writing them, so I don't think I have a favourite.

I have 14, although it certainly feels like more bc i have compilations of drabbles

As of right now, I'm only writing for 911, but I used to write for spn, suits and the mcu. the only one of those i see myself going back to is spn, the others are long gone obsessions.

Yes, I respond to them all! Im pretty sure ive missed some along the years tho.

i feel like i have only one with an angsty ending and its bc i used to think they all had to have a happy ending dfghjjhgfg anyway, its my latest one Not your fault (but mine)

sometimes but its not a lot. sometimes id write something unrealistic within the rules of the AU and they would criticize me but i usually just took it as cc.

Yes ma'am, a lot LMAOO. I have written pretty much anything, including watersports (which are not my thing but i had it as a request). Only thing ive never written is r*pe or cnc, and skat. no thank uuu.

i dont believe i have. i wrote a foursome once but they were all from the same world.

I think im very good at descriptions of both place and thoughts. i feel like i used to be really good at smut bc i would write so much of it lmao. i hope i still got it.

Finishing something, for once. wrapping up is also really hard. happy endings that dont feel like a low budget romantic movie (im a rejection-aro bro lmao).

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Well spanish is quite easy bc its my mother language. other than that, if its not one of the 8 i speak, then i wouldnt feel comfortable unless i have someone fluent helping me (not google).

yes, it’s somehow become both more pretentious and much, much sillier. (i mean, i’m english, i feel like this is barely my fault).

what else? mm, i think it’s got(ten) more Intentional, there’s probably less dialogue, i guess it’s tauter, definitely more attention paid to sound/rhythm, probably less repetitive

10.  What’s a theme that keeps coming up in your writing?

miscommunication, which actually is kind of weird bc i’m not really drawn to stories abt that, lol. or maybe i am but i think ive seen a lot of shows or films where it’s like OMG THIS IS SO UNREALISTIC THIS COULD BE SOLVED BY A SIMPLE CONVERSATION, YOU SENT THE TEXT TO THE WRONG PERSON OR BLAH BLAH WAS EAVESDROPPING AND ASSUMED IT WAS ABOUT THEM and also i find that stuff a bit trite cos...you know what beats it will hit

i guess i am interested in stories where the miscommunications are character-grounded and couldnt be simply solved (or i mean they could if the characters werent idiots but you get what you get!) and where maybe you cant predict exactly what’ll unfold?

(also i spend a lot of time ripping my hair out going OH MY GOD IF YOU ASK A QUESTION IN SUCH A LUDICROUS WAY TO THIS PERSON THERE IS NO WAY YOU ARE GOING TO GET AN ANSWER THAT WILL ACTUALLY HELP YOU, or IF YOU TELL THAT IMBECILE ABOUT YOUR PROBLEM IN THIS LUDICROUS UNDETAILED FASHION WHERE I KNOW YOU HAVE THE DEETS TO HAND BC WE JUST DISCUSSED THEM, YOU DONT DESERVE THEIR HELP...AND ALSO YOU’RE NOT GONNA GET IT SOOOOO, so perhaps that bleeds in ahahaha)

but yea i guesssss it’s more poor (meshing of) communication skills, rather than straight up miscommunication slapstick?

9.  What do your fic bookmarks say about you?

well, they’re private (which, yes i do tend to be). 

they’re very inconsistent. sometimes i read a story and think: ah, i should bookmark this! and smile to myself at the thought as i exit the story without bookmarking it, all happy with myself for having had the thought, assuming that means the thing has been done. sometimes i’ll catch myself like 5 mins later and go back and bookmark it lol.

they’re not organised in any way. i don’t think that i’m a disorganised person per se (more organised chaos). but also.... i don’t need to organise things, i perceive all things at all times in all ways, it’s fine.

they’re an absolute mismash of genres, ratings, tropes, pairings etc. but they are all gg (well plus crossovers i guess). which i guess speaks to my tastes.

there aren’t many WIPs (unless they’re apparently abandoned). i’m more likely to bookmark something when i know i might want to reread it i guess? and you can’t trust that it’s not gonna go beth/dean or something mad till the end can you???? (so yea, not hugely trusting haaaa)

they’re growing! ive been getting better at bookmarking but i’m pretty bad at it still bc i assume that my device is psychic. so i love rec posts that include old faves cos then i find them again n bookmark them!

im pretty sure there are no dupes bc im actually organised despite every impression to the contrary, haaaa.

honestly it is satisfying to watch you write and publish for yourself i am glad you find it freeing because this is what hobbies/passions should feel like in my own opinon !! also love reading your tags because you are very precise with how you feel and it's nice to know what you're going through - both as a writer but also as an individual, your hindsight is enlightening !! wait I think tumblr ate the second ask 😭 but I believe I’m getting the gist of what you were saying, either way I’m gonna put it under a read more cause I have a feeling this is gonna get long

(3/?) like i had started something with some svt member, then i obv changed the character and wanted to write for someone else but i don't want to use celebrities as characters anymore because i do hate the rich and i need consistency and i don't want to promote shitty people like this. So i'm writing this cute piece that i think could come out really well but i have zero character lol. also i had almost finished the second chapter of living alike but well, i don't want to publish it either

(4/4) and NOW with atla i'm like "oooh... could it be....?" so i don't know. There is also a feeling like, I LOVE to spend hours and days thinking about writing, alone in my head, but I think I would like to write something with someone or exchange precise ideas and such. Anyway, atla's 3rd season is indeed the bomb, but in the 2nd, "appa's lost days" episode had me cried so much the ENTIRE episode i had to eventually take off my glasses because I couldn't see through them.

and since you liked "living alike", i think you might like "to eat flowers and not to be afraid" it was an answer to svtwritenight at first (im pretty sure you had left a comment about it!) and I turned it into a proper piece. it's post-apocalyptic and not dystopian but i think it has similar vibe (it's a woozi x read for now, i don't know what to do about it yet, and obv i understand if you're not interested!) and i'll stop the spamming for now ! (5/5 i guess!!)

yes i totally agree hobbies should feel like an escape and it should be freeing so it’s satisfying for me as well lol i’m finally at a place with writing where it does really feel like a joy and posting doesn’t make me feel any sort of way like it used to. 

and jbdjax me and my tags, at this point its weird if i dont leave a whole essay in the tags, but i find it almost funny that you think i sound precise when expressing my thoughts because i feel very much the opposite when im rambling in the tags and ah yes hindsight truly is the best

so here im assuming youre talking about svt and their scandals i guess if you could even call it that and that whole situation turning you off from writing for them, and yeaa i definitely relate to you there, when the whole situation went down i was in the middle of writing ‘the world is ours to remake’ and that’s what pushed me to reconvert the world to an original work, but it was really disappointing for a number of reason obviously but also because writing svt fanfic was my main outlet to write in general so once i decided to stop writing for them i had to find a new channel to write for, and i was in a similar predicament as you where i had a whole bunch of pieces/ideas for them sitting in my google docs collecting dust, so i actually posted them as half-finished fics basically and just the terrible writing that they are but it did feel good to rid myself of all those first drafts and ideas that i no longer had the motivation to return to. 

but its good to hear that you’re still writing in some way even if it sort of has no where to go! and yea if you’re interested atla fanfic might just be the way to go ehehe. and i get what you mean with sharing ideas, sometimes i feel almost lost in my wip in my head, for me it helps to write stuff down idk why but it does. and yes i remember that piece from svtwritenight, i think it was the first piece of yours i had read and oooh yes a full fledged piece sounds interesting!

as for atla,,, yes those episodes are so sad, for me irohs story in the tales of ba sing se are always what gets me when he sits down and sings that song for his son gahhhhh it makes me sad just thinking about it.

first of all, i love that u typed keith as enneagram 5 and not 8(like i have seen most??), and that you think pidge is infp and not intp- i had intp for her but after rethinking i can really see infp. However I don't see Coran as entp, i think enfp is a lot more likely? as for lance, im very torn about esfp and estp, could you elaborate why you see esfp as more fit?

Okay wow this is a loaded ask and I’m quite terrible at writing explanations, but I love personality analysis talk sooo *cracks fingers* I’m gonna try my best.

We’ll start with Keith’s enneagram.

So yeah, I totally see Keith somewhere in between type 5 and 8.. but tbh, it’s still really hard to say. I think he’s definitely an ISTP which makes him look like an 8, but the whole “knowledge or death” thing… to me it looks like he could be a 5 wrapped up in 8 appearances. He definitely hates being controlled (like a type 8 would) but I feel like his main driving force is more about competency and just, knowing. Like the fact that he was led to the Blue Lion because he just wanted to know and seek out answers, the fact that he finally gave up the knife because he hated the idea of standing by and watching idly as the world fell to pieces outside his shack. (see Type 5 Basic Fear: Being useless, helpless, or incapable.)

On the other hand, Keith doesn’t really have a type 6 or type 4 wing bend… which makes this all a little more complicated to me. Type 5′s key motivations are to “want to possess knowledge, to understand the environment, to have everything figured out as a way of defending the self from threats from the environment.” I think Keith wants to understand and have things figured out as a more universal preservation more than SELF preservation. (The preservation part is where the wing 6 comes from for most type 5′s, which is something we definitely see in Pidge way more.)

Also, type 8′s have a growth bent towards type 5′s when they are stressed.

This actually may fit Keith really well. He certainly acts like a type 5 in stressful situations (i.e. losing Shiro, having internal struggles about his past and therefore the dagger, etc.) possibly? So I’m… honestly still on the fence about this. I toy around with him being both when I write fic. The ISTP is for 100% sure though.

Pidge: INFP

Ah!! I’m so glad you understand! You see, Pidge seems like the classic INTP if you looked on the surface level: she loves theorizing, science, and robots. However, this is a very stereotypical view of both INTP’s and computer nerds. INFPs can be geniuses and come off as less emotional too! The reason both types are so similar is because they share secondary Ne, the cognitive function that involves expansive minds holding several ideas at once and bouncing back and forth between them like rapid fire synapses. Pidge definitely has that. However, INFPs and INTP’s have a very fundamental difference in that INFPs lead with Fi and INTP’s lead with Ti.

Pidge leads with Fi all the way. She’s constantly focused on her own moral judgement and it’s a judgement that comes from within herself and holds emotional weight. I think a misconception people have is that Fi = emotional, but Fi is more about personal value judgments, that is to say, your worldview is shaped by subjective feelings on the matter. In some cases, this lends to people acting emotional, but for Pidge, it mostly just means things like, her family always comes first. She almost left the team because of it until she realizes her Father would’ve encouraged her to invest in her teammates as a new family. She’s the type to think about things that matter to her and hold that close to her heart. This is so different from what an INTP (Ti-dom) would do.

Not to mention, Pidge is the type to take facts and data into consideration. INTP’s do this a lot less than people think. Ti is focused on internal logic, not external data. Pidge loves external data.

Coran: ENTP

Okay so this is a little trickier because we don’t get to know much about Coran’s internal motivations. As I’ve said above, Fi and Ti are very different. For ENFP vs ENTP, you’d have to look at the middle two cognitive functions and see how they differ (Fi-Te vs Ti-Fe). Check this quote out:

Unlike Fe, Fi is not overly concerned with cultivating positive feelings or good morale in a social environment (FPs do like harmony, but this has more to do with their being uncomfortable with conflict than wanting to cultivate Fe rapport). [x]

Fi is directed inward, toward one’s personal feelings and values. FPs, especially IFPs, are typically less concerned with going out of their way to ensure that good feelings are cultivated in the environment. [x]

I think Coran has Ti-Fe becausewe honestly don’t really see any personal feelings/values of his. And honestly? I don’t even think it’s because he hides them, it’s because it’s not how he functions. On the other hand, I think his values come more from tertiary Fe, where he is way more focused on the greater good and people/feelings outside of himself. He notices and is keenly aware of the social dynamics around him and concerns himself with cultivating positive feelings and good morale all the time. However, he can sometimes be terrible at comforting others when it gets to the nitty gritty of it (probably due to his Ti coming before Fe), but not at all in bad spirits. When he notices Lance is homesick at the party, he goes to be with him in solidarity, but says things that are hilariously not words of comfort. It’s just his style though and it’s endearing.

So I guess we don’t know enough about him to say for 100% sure, but I’m going with ENTP until further notice.

Lance: ESFP

While I can see where the ESTP (stereotypically the Promoter type) comes from, I really do think Lance is an ESFP. As both types certainly have that Se flair for drama and heroics, it can be really hard to differentiate. However, like I mentioned about Fi judgments from above, Lance ultimately shapes his values, morals, and worldviews with regards to his subjective feelings on the matter.

Although Lance may not be overly sensitive (doesn’t take things too personally), he’s definitely still a sensitive boy. He misses home, he’s kind of a romantic, he wanted to lead with the Black Lion and felt hurt inside when she chooses Keith, he wants to care for people, he looks out for Pidge when she speaks up against Iverson, he looks out for all of his teammates in very individual ways and is sensitive to each of their personal subjective feelings as well.

Now, I know the last one sounds a lot like the Fe function of wanting to keep up good morale for the sake of social environment, but I think with Lance, it’s because he’s sensitive to everyone’s nature as individuals and cares about them. Fe can sometimes come off as a little more insensitive to personal feelings for the sake of collective social harmony and larger goals (see Allura, Keith, Coran, and even Shiro to some extent). I don’t think Lance is like that. He wants a good social environment but never at the cost of personal feelings. I think he’d prioritize personal feelings of individuals he cares about, and that to me is one of the most significant reasons he’s an ESFP over an ESTP.

And plus, an ESFP’s tertiary Te is probably what helps Lance maintain such a strict and consistent beauty routine ;)

A Long and Screamy Rant

So this is a rant dedicated to @apvrrish's fic (aknightley on AO3) 'calling me to come back', a gem of a fic and a sincerely gorgeous work. (If you haven't read it yet, go do it here and now!! Seriously, you won't regret it)

I was originally going to make this only about how I felt, but she writes so well I have to put something about her writing style there

Spoilers for the fic under the cut!!

1. Her worldbuilding

Literally once the fic started, I had such a good idea of what the shop looked like. Even if it may not have matched her mental image, it was so clear in my head (which is extremely rare for me). Apvrrish also does amazing descriptions, and it's like I'm actually living in the moment. It's so awesome!!!

2. Characterization

She nailed it. Completely and actually nailed it; bullseye after bullseye; on point. Shiro and Keith's relationship, later on Keith and Lance's relationship, Pidge (idk why I really liked the mental image of Pidge with a bun. I just did) staying up really late to help Keith, the way pIDGE CAN USE HER MAGIC THROUGH ELECTRONICS HDKCKSKCKFD

3. Lotor and Honerva/Hagar

Honestly, I was going to make this a side note on characterization, but this is so good it deserves its own topic. Honerva is so extra and I love it? I mean obviously it's not cool that she literally tried to kill Lance so that Lotor could go to a school. But that is something that she would totally do, and I can't really express my love for the all of this.

I also love the way aknightley wrote (or rather, mentioned) Lotor. Here's a beautiful beautiful quote: "Lotor was evidently interested in genetic science, something that Alfor specialized in, but Alfor was also specialized in avoiding people he didn’t care for, something Keith found enviable."

So maybe that quote doesn't focus on Lotor specifically, but it's such a GOOD SENTENCE. It wasn't the type of funny that would make me burst out into laughter, but the kind of brilliant genius that made me stare at my laptop screen and re-read that sentence five times, because it's that good.

4. While we're on this topic, QUOTES.

"Scrolling to a number that’s only labeled with a small bird emoji and a poop emoji, he texts, Can you do some research for me?" It isn't really the quote itself that I liked, per se, but the idea that Pidge's contact name is a bird and a poop emoji. That is perfect?? And I love it so much???

“Am I wrong, Sunshine?” Lance asks, tilting his head and smiling slyly." Lance calls Keith Sunshine. LANCE CALLS KEITH SUNSHINE OH MY GOD I CANT??? !!!!!!!

"You don’t need it to look pretty, Keith thinks, unbidden." Do I even need to explain here? Seriously, look me in the eye and ask my why I love this quote so much, I dare you. KEITH ADMIRING LANCE'S BEAUTY IS MY GODDAMN JAM

"“Sure, kiddo,” Shiro says, taking a sip of coffee with raised eyebrows." This. THIS!! The amount of pure goodness in this line is enough to make me cry. Shiro knows. Shiro knows!!!

"“Besides the obvious reasons,” Shiro says, raising his eyebrows. Keith gives in to pettiness and uses his magic to fling the pieces of cereal still on the counter at his face, grinning when they nail him directly in the nose." THIS IS THE GOOD BROGANES CONTENT THAT I LIVE FOR DID YOU KNOW??? Again, with characterization,, such perfection.

"“A customer,” Pidge says, doing air quotes. “A customer you dream about and who makes you go super smiley when he calls you on the phone.”" PIDGE KNOWS. SHIRO KNOWS. THEY ALL KNOW AND STILL KEITH REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE IT. A GOOD TROPE. I VERY MUCH APPROVE.

"“So I guess I should -- um -- take this off?” He pulls lightly at the material over his chest and Keith feels his own face heat up." FLUSTERED KLANCE IS BEST KLANCE. NO, I DONT ACCEPT OTHER ANSWERS. THIS IS LAW.

"Lance leaned in close so he can peer into Keith’s face.

Across the room, a cedar branch catches fire." AGAIN. FLUSTERED KLANCE IS BEST KLANCE. NEED THERE BE ANY MORE PROOF? (Also, I hope all these quotes convey the immense love I have for aknightley and her writing)

“I’m going to have to buy her something very sparkly,” Keith murmurs to himself, smiling at the little heart she’s drawn next to her name.

5. Keith taking off his protections so that he could talk with Lance in his dreams

I'm probably reading way too much into this, but Keith literally let Lance inside all of his defenses. This is his how much he likes Lance. He stripped down all his protection that he's had for like, forever and let himself be vulnerable ALL FOR LANCE. I CANNOT BELIEVE,, THE SHEER EMOTION AND TRUST SHOWN IN THIS SCENE,,, UGH MY HEART

6. Similarly, the garden scene

This is Keith's private place. This is where he goes to remember his parents, and he let Lance come with him. Again, probably reading way to much into this, but Keith is actually letting Lance in? I mean it's never stated explicitly in the fic but I don't think Keith really goes around sharing the garden with people... wHICH MAKES THIS SO MUCH MORE SPECIAL HDJCKDKSKC I WAS LITERALLY CLUTCHING MY CHEST I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS

7. Keith giving Lance his mom's jacket

Keith didn't even let Shiro, his own brother, keep some of his parents' books from him. Granted, it was a different situation, but still. Keith is incredibly protective of anything and everything related to his parents, so the fact that he let Lance wear and KEEP his mom's jacket?? Is like the equivalent of other people literally ripping out their heart for someone else. The Klance here is absolutely wonderful.

8. The 'fuck your emotions' scene

WELL DAMN, APVRRISH, FUCK WITH MY EMOTIONS WONT YOU?? THEYRE BOTH SO GODDAMN SELF SACRIFICIAL??? LIKE LANCE I GET IT YOU LOVE HIM AND DONT WANT HIM TO GET HURT BUT DONT PUSH HIM AWAY LIKE THIS PLEASE,, ON ONE HAND THIS SHOWS HOW MUCH LANCE CARES FOR KEITH AND WANTS HIM TO BE SAFE BUT ON THE OTHER HAND 'FUCK YOUR EMOTIONS' LANCE QUOTES LIKE ITS NO BIG DEAL... stop taking both mine and Keith's hearts and stomping them into bits you HEARTBREAKER

My eyes do not deserve to see the glory that is this sentence,, I had to give it a separate topic from Quotes because it was just. So good,,, Even now I feel like I'm not doing it justice, but it's so MIND BLOWINGLY AWESOME that I just can't. 👏🏻👏🏻 you did good, apvrrish.

10. Keith realizing he loves Lance

Need I say any more? Literally ALL I could dare to ask for. It's beautiful and I love it a lot. I also like how you didn't make it this big panicky moment for Keith, because honestly? Finding out that you're in love with someone isn't supposed to be all 'oH MY GOD WHAT DO I DO THIS IS BAD'. If realizing that you're in love with someone is bad, well, why are you in love with that person in the first place?

I kinda went off on a tangent there but anyways!! My main point- I really REALLY liked you portrayal of this scene and the way you wrote it. *swallows down the screams of the damned my emotional heart*

11. The dandelion

They're soul bound. They're soul bound, and Keith used a love spell thingy to track down Lance because he loves him and holy hell they're SOUL BOUND. I mean, the whole soulmate thing is low key overdone, not just in this fandom but everywhere. Yet apvrrish manages to put her own unique spin on the whole thing, incorporating magic and the idea of 'marriage bonds', which is really unique.

12. The idea of modern magic

Okay so I've been trying to go in chronological order but as I keep reading I just find this world so so cool. Most times there's a magical AU, the characters are somehow in the past, or it's a different world. But this, this is a combination of modern tech and somehow also these awesome magical abilities. There are potions with real life ingredients (certain types of wood, flowers, stones or minerals, etc.) and for realistic purposes. This is so realistic that I can actually imagine it happening, which is GREAT because it shows just how good of a writer that apvrrish is, but at the same time, makes me wish so so hard that I could be part of this world. Modern magic,, hdjckskc stab me in the heart with everything I've ever wanted, won't you?

13. “True love or some shit, I think,” Lance says cheerfully, and waves his hand.

Another quote too good for the Quotes section. He says this so nonchalantly?? It fits Lance's character SO WELL and so was really funny (idrk why it just made me smile a lot). Also, they're in LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE~

14. Red!!

Beautiful cat child is cute and deserves all the love. I ADORE witch familiars, and Red helping Keith out with the exorcism thing was really pleasing to read. Also,, Red and Lance interactions. The pLaYFuL bAnTEr between Keith and Lance. Hhhhhhhhhhhhh I love this so muchhhh

15. The ending

tHE ENDING, OH MY GOD THE ENDING. THEY LITERALLY RODE INTO THE SUNSET ON A MOTORCYCLE. IM CRYING ITS SO CLICHE BUT BEAUTIFUL??? ME, SOBBING? ITS MORE LIKELY THAN YOU THINK BECAUSE THIS IS A GORGEOUS CONCLUSION.

Also! "“Why not?” he says quietly, leaning back against Lance’s chest. “We’ve got time.”"

That. THAT. I've already said this in a comment on the fic itself, but this is so good it needs to be said again. This entire story has kind of a recurring theme of how Keith doesn't have enough time with his loved ones (his parents and Lance because of the curse). But now that he broke the curse, he finally had time to be all cutesy and happy with Lance because they have time. Lance is no longer in danger of dying, and so they can take the long way and enjoy life just because now, they can. Catch me screaming into the void again because THIS IS BEAUTIFUL.

A last note- I found a song that kinda fits for this fic. The lyrics match the best, but in general the song is also super pretty!! So if you have time give it a listen because it's,, so good (jUST LIKE THIS FIC).

I still feel like all this ranting isn't enough to do this work of art and perfection justice, but anyways!! Apvrrish, continue being the awesomely amazing writer you are.

2 [ things that motivate you ]

i think this is likely true of most people who make things for public consumption and that's honestly…when people respond to something we make? whether it's a comment or the notes on your bookmark or a message or an ask or a dm on twitter or anything just saying 'hey i read this i liked it' or something in the same vein (more or less a nice thing is a nice thing!) i touched on this with the last set in number 27's answer on the last set.... where i refer to kindnesses as a currency. to be clearer, i write fic to explore ideas for personalities i am already in love with whether characters from an era or canon images or, more likely, a hybridization of the two (plus extrapolations) and also stories/theories that appeal to me but also MEAN a lot to me and in doing so i hope will mean something to others. i write it to connect (i am a broken record but it's what it is isn't it ^^) and sort of see if the way that i think and process can in fact be translated to other people. to see that it can, here and there, is immeasurably important to me. 

i have always wanted to be one of those people who can self-motivate but i find more and more that the truth is i very much look to other peoples' approval and responses, and perhaps that will always be the case, which i suppose means i have to just keep working harder and honing the art as best i can -- give or take. i hold comments close, asks, messages, all of that. i screencap them because i'm afraid the eternal internet will fail me ^^;;; and sometimes people remove t hei r bookmarks or whatnot so like…um i'm glad i screencapped them ^^;;; and there was one twitter convo where the nice thing they said was so far back i couldn't see it anymore ;_; so lol i'm glad i screencapped that too….a-and now u all know i am crazy T////T hahikesduiojklefdsiojk OTL s-seriously though. have i said before i think sometimes people have a natural baseline? i said it in 'below zero' but outside of that i mean…so a good thing a tangible thing when i am below zero (often) ends up being…many things to me. i'm grateful even if i fail to fully harness people's generosity to the extent i ought to.

5 [ since how long do you write? ]

mmm…since i stopped drawing entirely so like hum… /squints/ /rubs chin/ /rubs head/ ahhh like i guess i really started wholly focusing and shifted from visual to verbal in my last year of middle school! ^^;;/ but i wrote fiction primarily at the time because i had a dream of writing a book that would stay with people the way my favorite books have stayed with me. weirdly i am only now able to write narrative for fanfic and otherwise all my original writing is poetry…which is significantly less relatable for people and has such an unforgiving set of standards that i mostly have lost hope for making my way in that area, though i still produce material.

9 [ do you set yourself deadlines? ]

mmm not hard deadlines. i can't trick myself that way per se. but i can trick myself by being like mini deadlines so a paragraph a morning or something of that ilk? i'm very flow-by-flow so hard deadlines are just lolololololol however, i do have friends who work very well within the stricter parameters of a due date; basically your mileage may vary, but for me it works best to say: try to have something complete by the end of a 30 day period, and then to adjust along the way i.e. i clearly won't have this done by 30 days at least get the first draft done. etc. OTL i'm so wishy washy ;_;

36 [ one-shot or multi-chaptered story? ]

NERVOUS LAUGHTER RUBS MY EYES uiojrlekfsdiok i do better when i do one-shots i am like shudders at my multi-chapter ideas but fall down lightly began more as a vignette series and oops got a narrative in real time my MISTAKE because i know everything that happens but have basically made myself so nervous about it i've been staring at the next real chapter for five thousand years. it just doesn't seem good enough ;_; lololol so for the sake of not releasing something that is a waste of time for other people to look at i….haven't. it's a verse i love and i want to complete because I KNOW HOW IT ENDS LMFALKFJD and even what happens along the way but like lololol /stares at my hands unhappily/ ljldskjfs ah well anyway though one-shot i do trust myself more with. because when it's done/posted? it's done. barring revisions ^^;; (and typos T_T;;;)

39 [ do you want to be published some day? ]

the dream ;_; ah. i don't delude myself thinking i could ever make money doing what is most important to me…poetry is not largely a money making facet of the writing industry and even the ones that are real jobs aren't very um…whatchacallit um……huh….productive money wise? not that that should be my focus but i always dreamt if i made a lot of money i could give people lots of things and stuff…which…i always wanted to do… 

._.;;; i digress. but like to get poetry published would be nice. to be accepted a little in that way would be nice. but even honestly if i started releasing it online and people liked it that would be enough for me at this point. i had a teacher who once said to me: your real strength lies in essay writing, you should change your track. and it has been hurting me ever since haha. i don't like writing essays. i HATE it. same goes for journalism. all of which i avoided despite being told 'it's what you're good at'….i …is it weird to say poetry is what i love even if i don't love my own writing? i want my writing to be better and i'll try to keep doing it regardless but that really…ah it's funny how one thing can be a shadow isn't it? long answer OTL I apologize ;_; but like…so yes. i would love it. it feels impossible but … it would be….it would be nice.

42 [ do you plan or do you write whatever comes to your mind? ]

i do both. it depends on the story. sometimes it is literally both for one story and sometimes i run out the gate with the exactitudes and it is what i think it will be (mostly). save me was a combination. follow was precisely as i planned it and so was sidereal. fall down lightly i know the exacts of what happens but not how i want to convey them so there's that. this time around i knew exactly. time and again i had all down in notes so i do know what happens but again not how i verbalize. call and answer was PAINSTAKINGLY planned help me lmdlskfdsj…..as was so far away. dearly beloved was a moment, begin was inspired and stream of consciousness -- as was one thing and balancing act. ;; i'm not very one or the other i suppose…. T////T

44 [ do you write linear or do you write future scenes if you feel like it? ]

like 42 i am both. it depends. i wrote save me as you read it but i literally hop around time within it so i'm not sure if question means that or if i write it all out linearly first??? in which case no??? but only because weirdly if i plan to hop around in time for a story it's best if i do so in real-time as i write it or i lose the rhythm i wanted to actualize for the story's feeling and resolution/end-point. i have notes all of the time too about things i haven't paragraphed out so like…if that is part of the answer….

47 [ how many unfinished ideas/stories are you working on at the same time? ]

o_o;;;; w-well my drafts folder is divided into two parts -- one is complete drafts that need looking at again and one is unfinished works entirely, if you want the final headcount of both it's lolololol
