There's a photo of me at age 11 tied to a tree with a jumprope and wearing a Green Bay Packers helmet while a white-tailed deer is standing literally within a few feet of me and looking directly into the camera ft. green eyeshine.

The photo only exists on the hard drive of a dead old computer and I want to see it again so badly but it might be irretrievable and it breaks my heart...

#I remember the photo VIVIDLY it's one of the funniest things I've ever seen.#I remember the actual incident pretty vividly too. I was making a 'movie' with my little brother that involved me being tied to #a tree in a football helmet (don't remember why) and he went inside to get more props. Was just sitting there and I heard the deer #coming up on me. It had to have smelled me but I don't think it knew where I was so it was proceeding very slowly and cautiously #so got almost within touching distance. My dad saw this happening and took the photo and then the deer bolted.#I've had so many funny encounters with whitetails I love them.
