To anyone feeling insecure or attacked because of [gestures vaguely to JatP fandom purity culture] right now please know you are loved, cherished, and appreciated.

What you write and create is read and adored by people you may never meet in real life, but still impact. You do matter, your feelings towards any kind of fandom discourse (in this specific case, smut) is valid. Just because you write or like smut does it NOT make you a disgusting or horrible person.

Fuck anyone who tries to tell you otherwise. You deserve a space to create what you want. You do not owe anyone an explanation. Your blog is your blog, your writing is yours to own. If anyone tries to make you change it or send you hate for it block em and tell them to take a hike.

HELL YEAH! i second all of this. use the block button with abandon!!!! god knows i have, especially in the last few months. i give ZERO fucks. i've been in fandom longer than most of these purity assholes have probably been alive and they ain't gonna kick me out now.
