Has anyone made a post about how the memes making fun of the german language sounding stupid/funny actually (I assume unknowingly) perpetuate (post) WWII US propaganda yet or is that up to me?
#I'm only slightly lying when I say that I hate to be the guy that goes 'no fun allowed' but#kinda think it's also just interesting bc I feel like with any other language people would not be AS comfortable with#continously making jokes about how weird it sounds#I mean who knows maybe 'greek sounds awful' might be the next big meme hit but you know#I doubt it#and before anyone tells me it'S not that deep#I'm aware of how deep it is thank you#also last note just like. linguistically speaking I kinda just don't love value being attached to language this way#but whatever#also this isn't about anyone in particular reblogging anything specific to be perfectly clear#just smth that has been on my mind for a while#marshall's thoughts
