I HAVE A THEORY ABOUT THIS!!!

I AM PARTIALLY CONVINCED THE VIALS ARE BULLSHIT OR OTHERWISE A SCAM. WHEN WE FIRST MEET COOPER, HE'S HOOKED UP TO A RAD-AWAY DRIP. THE COLOR OF THE LIQUID IN THE VIALS MATCHES THE RAD-AWAY. IT'S NOT SPECIFIED WHAT EXACTLY THE VIALS ARE, BUT I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED IF WE END UP LEARNING THAT IT'S JUST EITHER REPACKAGED RAD-AWAY OR JUST A STRONGER DOSE OF RAD-AWAY.

On one hand, ghouls being forced to scrap and scrounge for a chem that will lengthen their lucidity has real-world parallels with the way people who rely on life-saving medicine are treated by governments, by pharma companies, by peers who are willing to overlook someone's humanity because they aren't considered worthy of the care, respect, or resources it takes to give them the same quality of life as an able-bodied person unless they can pay the cost of keeping themselves alive for one more day of being treated like garbage

On the other hand, how did a ghoul kid in a fridge-
