you were dying. a million knives stabbed into your body as you cried out for help. that’s what your period felt like to you. cramps made you want to end it all. you were laying in your bed, not DARING to move because even if you moved a muscle, your whole body would ache like someone stabbing you with a sword over and over again.

“what would happen if i just ended my life?” you thought to yourself. “these cramps would sure go away.” as you were talking to your inner-self about k*ll*ng yourself, you saw luke, your wonderful, amazing boyfriend lay down beside you.

“hey princess. what’s got you so tense?” luke asked, about to hug you. “get. your. fucking hands. away from me.” you said in a very serious tone while making a very serious face. luke instantly retracted his hands and his expression changed from happy to worried. “what happened angel? are you sick? did i do something wrong?”

then, all of the sudden, you started bawling you eyes out while barely getting out, “n-no i’m on my st-stu-stupid period and you didn’t h-hu-hug meeeeeeee!!!” you cry with big tears streaming down your face and off your chin.

luke registers what’s happening and automatically scoops you into his strong arms, kissing your tears away. “hey hey hey. it’s ok. i’m sorry. i love you so much sunshine. i’m sorry i didn’t hug you.” he says in a very empathetic tone. you continue to cry and he continues to whisper sweet nothings into your ear until you stop crying.

you sniff and shakily say, “sorry babe. i’m just hurting and i hate life.” “no no it’s okay. i don’t blame you at all. it’s not your fault you deal with these cramps!” he says hugging you and kissing your neck. just then, he had an idea. “i’ll be right back angel. i’m not leaving i just forgot something in my cabin ok?” he asked, making sure it. was ok to leave you. “ok..” you say a little suspiciously.

as luke is walking out of your cabin, he think who to go to about this stuff. then it hits him like an arrow hitting the bullseye. clarisse and annabeth. first he goes to the athena cabin to see annabeth. he knocks on the door and coincidentally, annabeth answers. “oh hey luke. what do i owe the pleasure of?” she asks curiously.

“hey annie. i was wondering if you had any of those uh.. things you stick in to stop from bleeding? i think they’re called tampons?” he asks while whispering the word “tampons”. annabeth rolls her eyes at his slight immaturity and shut the door in his face.

just as luke is about to walk away, the doors opens again and annabeth stands there with all kinds of tampons. “before i give these to you, who are these for exactly?” she asks, cocking a brow. “oh. they’re for y/n. she’s on her period and im making her a bay basket.” (i mean bay basket cuz like its summer and bay yknow? i thought it was clever lol).

“oh wow. that sucks for her. tell her i say feel better .” annabeth says before smiling and shutting the door. next, luke went to clarisse. he was just about to walk towards her cabin when he found her irritating a kid. “hey clarisse that’s not nice. knock it off” luke says, giving the kid a chance to run away. “whatever luke. what do you want?” clarisse asks as she starts walking back to her cabin.

“well y/n’s on her period and i’m making her a bay basket. i was wondering if you could help me get some stuff she might like since you’re her best friend.” luke says, fidgeting with his hands. as soon as luke says “y/n” clarisse’s mood instantly changes to happy and she energetically exclaims, “of course i’ll help you! i love y/n.”

luke is walking back to the aphrodite cabin with a basket filled with a pink fluffy blanket, a whole bunch of chocolate, tampons, a squishmallow (don’t ask how he got all these “human” things from camp half blood lol), fake pink roses (so they never die), a candle, and some extra goodies like his hoodie and matching pajama pants with him.

he knocks on the door and you open it, looking angry at who disturbed you. but your expression softened instantly when you saw it was luke. you pulled him inside as he presented the bay basket. “surprise! you should not be going through this much pain on your period so i hope i could make it a little better.” he said while smiling from ear to ear.

you look at the basket and then at luke as you take it and set it down. you walk over to luke and throw your arms around him, jumping and wrapping your legs around his waist. “thank you thank you thank you!” you says while crying because of how happy you are.

the rest of the day/week is filled with luke, luke, and more luke until you’re finally done with pain (for now hehe).

Despite how much they love each other now at some point cal Lia and rolan were just kids, mean little grubby jelly beans who didn't think about what they said.

At some point in time it never occurred to either cal or Lia that rolan didn't feel like he's one of them or maybe they just didn't know?

Sometimes grumpy kids say awful things and they don't realize how awful it is until later much later.

Let's assume they all [the kids] share a room in a small apartment with their single struggling mum. Space is limited and they do step on each other's toes, cal and Lia are so close in age its easier for them to stay together during arguments.

It just is. Rolan being so much taller takes up more space even when he doesn't mean to.

So they argue they argue and cak or Lia winds up screaming at rolan, with all that young thoughtless hangry rage

That they wished he wasn't there. Then maybe they could be comfortable. By the time they've finished Rolan is breathing heavily, eyes glassy with his hands gripping the front of his shirt. They know what they said and the weight if it hits them like a ton of bricks and now... there's a stunning silenece...but for rolan trying to stay calm.

Cal and Lia bolt from the room, they don't didn't mean it. Why did they say that?

Unsure what else to do. Rolan looks around the room and begins picking it up, all the mess. He rolls up his own clothes into tight roll, trying to make sure everything of his fits into the bottom drawer. Out of the way.

When he comes out he doesn't see them, but he can hear them kicking around their mums room, wanting to be left alone.

In the kitchen he sees their mother rattling noisily about, frustration on her brow.

" can I help?"

She jumps at his small voice. She seems to glance into the cupboard and back to him

" actually I think I've forgotten to grab a few things from the market. Would you run out for me please?"

Happy to be of use, rolan slips into a coat riddled with patches and takes the small purse she hands him along with a small messy list and almost heads out.

At the door his mother stops him to kiss the space between his horns

" If there's enough, maybe a bit of sweet bread too?"

With a lopsided smile, he hurries out and down the hall out of sight.

A few minutes later, cal and Lia come out grumbling. They look around the living room, he isn't in his spot by the window, his little stack of books are gone. Cal points to the empty spot, Lia can feel something clamp tight in her chest before she bolts back the bedroom.

Cal immediately behind her, they freeze. Both of their beds are made nice and neat, lias with a little bear on its pillow. Rolans bed sits blank and bear, his blankets nowhere in sight. They begin frantically shouting for him ripping open the closet to find him hiding.

Where are his things!? They come out and cal sees a coat missing on the rack. His lip wavers

" mum, where's rolan?"

They watch her trying to pry open the shell of something they don't care about when she answers with mild annoyance.

"He went-ouch!"

She whipped her hand away sticking a finger in her mouth. She looks up stunned to see the pair suddenly falling apart, bawling and screaming at her. She drops what she's doing to try and figure out what's going on, impossible with them hiccupping and breaking their words into jagged parts.

a few moments later, the door creaks open and a very happy rolan steps in with an armful of grocery.

" mom! There was- what happened?"

He blinks at the scene his siblings have made of themself, knocked off his feet when they rush him.

" IM SORRY!"

" I DIDN'T MEAN IT!"

Their mother swift as can be manages to grab the bag from his arms before it can all go flying. She shakes her head at them unsure what argument is being resolved.

After dinner and clean up the place is quiet and empty. Their mother narrows her eyes suspicious of the silence before peeking into her own room.

She can't help the smile at seeing them all curled up together under her blankets, cal and Lia absolutely refusing to let go of rolan.

Allow me to present my Half propaganda!

- The slower tempo adds a very relaxing feeling to the song. Kinda ironic, but I like it! It sort of reminds of old indie songs from 2012 (especially with what I think is whistling added in the instrumental in-between chorus and verses.)

- Kazui’s voice. Enough said.

- It’s very easy to listen to, and I find it’s one of the only songs from Milgram that I like to listen to out of context (besides After Pain, Backdraft, and Purge March, oddly enough.)

- The MV is rife with imagery, and is used to beautiful effect. It really makes you feel for Kazui and his situation.

- The scene with him and Hinako before the key change… that makes me so emo.

- The overlapping part at the end… the lyrics combined with the dialogue in the background makes me really sad in a way I can’t explain.

Propaganda for MAGIC:

MAGIC MY BELOVED MAGIC!!! Its one of the best MVs in the entire series, even including T2. Magic is visually stunning and has some fantastic art direction but also is very clever in how it conveys its themes and ideas. Magic doesn't really hide anything from you, not really. It's all symbolic but it Tells You Things. It shows you the abuse, it shows you the cat. There's a fun little relationship going on here where, In Magic. Amane's pain and suffering isn't taken seriously by the people around her and the Audience we are discouraged to take it at face value due to the fictionalized nature of Magic. It's so cool. I'm so fond of the song as well, it's one of the best in the series purely cause of the Layers in it. The implications of this Inability to be good is seeped into Magic. Amane knows this isn't reality, Magic knows it's a show, she watches it at the end. And it's so Sad to me that even in her fictionalized happy world she Cannot be a good girl. It's a standard completely out of reach for her and that idea is just conveyed so well visually.

Im not even talking about the goddamn cat yet- the cat symbolism goes Deep. That cat is HER it has the same wounds Amane has in Purge March. I- I cant talk about the intertextuality of Purge March and Magic here this is Magic propaganda only- I- there's so much good stuff to Magic. I Re watched it over and over again. It has some the Best Writing and Visual Communication in Milgram and I will Die on this Hill.

It worried Giyuu and Yuna for a bit

But then she went into an independent phase—

She wanted to do everything by herself, despite being so tiny and not having the motor skills to much of anything

The shock on his face when he saw your childhood house- no, mansion - was quite amusing. You would laugh if it wasn't for the nervosity of your boyfriend meeting your filthy rich parents.

Let's just say that you and your parents never stopped financing him and his ideas. They love him.

i love what remains of edith finch. all of the characters have such a deep and emotional meaning. i love the mystery and the thought of trying to figure out exactly what happened to the family.

edie believed that their family was cursed, but the first story you see of molly, she didnt die because of the "curse", she was sent to bed without dinner. edith saying "i'm not sure i believed all that, but im sure edie would have" just leaves me in SHAMBLES

calvin's story broke me. sam's letter on how he wanted to remember calvin was so sweet and heartbreaking, got me in my feels ☹️

barbara's is so mysterious and eye-catching, no one knows what really happened to her. the leading theory is she was killed by her fans but i dont believe it, even though i dont have any other idea on what it could be

same with walter. did he really get hit by that train? in his letter, he said "i can already imagine the sun on my face" implying he didn't leave the bunker when he wrote that, but the gameplay was him leaving. his letter hit me so hard 👎 what exactly was behind that door? what was he so afraid of?

i dont many thoughts on sam's story but omg it was sad. poor dawn

im pretty sure everyone teared up at gregory's story. that poor baby didnt deserve that. "maybe if i hsdn't called that night", "i'm sure hes happy" i will fucjing sob.

idk what to say about gus, just that i wished his family payed more attention to him.

milton is, by far, the most mysterious story out of all of them and up on my list of fav stories. where exactly did he go? is he still alive? maybe he is, and i like to think that he still is.

lewis hit me the hardest, by far my favorite. depression along with a gloomy, factory job, daydreaming about a life better than the one you have until it seems like the only way out. i love how well his story captures what he was going through and the derealization. "my imagination is as real as my body" dude. when i tell u i bawled

all dawn wanted to do was protect her kids. her character is so complex and misunderstood, i wish i could learn so much more about her.

i love this game with all of my heart and i think it shows

i had a horrible memory due to depression and it made me forget a lot of important things like schedules and birthdays and pretty much all of charlies childhood. lilith got mad at me for it quite often

lilith and i never really got officially divorced, she just kinda up and left one day. she still talked to charlie, just not to me. it was about three years before she stopped talking to her too

i was autistic and adhd. like, bad. one of my most vivid mems was charlie talking to vaggie about something like, two feet away from me, and she looked back at me and went "plus i think hes autistic" and i said "no im not! i dont know that that is but i am not that."

my cane wasnt just for looks. keeping my wings hidden most of the time really did a number on my back

adam and i started dating in secret sometime in between episodes five and six. he warned me ahead of time that the extermination was being moved from six months to one, and that it had been seras idea. i didnt believe him until it was too late

he wasnt NEARLY as bad of a guy as he is in the show not by a LONG SHOT. he was foul mouthed and had anger issues but he had a lot of respect for his troops, especially lute. they were best friends. he was also homoromantic bisexual and it took him until we started dating to realize that that was the reason why he wasnt happy with lilith or eve

after ep 8, he came to my palace as a sinner telling me he had fallen (which! holy shit had it been a long time since there was any fallen angels of such a high status)

he and i had adopted a hellhound at some point. he named her after lute. she was a little dalmatian that looked a bit like the background one from helluva boss with heart shaped spots and one white eye and one pink eye. charlie loved her SO much. i remember handing little lute to her and she just started bawling. when she turned 17 i made her a deal that as long as she was okay with being a public royal figure (she had been mostly out of the limelight), she could also be immortal like the rest of our family.

another kid related thing was cain was the only one of adams kids that ended up in hell. he didnt have a special demon form, he just looked like a normal human. i reintroduced them (kinda hard to not keep track of the first other sinner!) and he became part of the family too (though not nearly on the same level as lute or charlie, he just dropped in every now and then)

there was some sort of massive falling event where a bunch of angels had gotten kicked out of heaven after they instated more official rules. adam ran a program on one half of the hotel to get them more accustomed to life in hell, sort of like the opposite of charlies plan

Ok opinions on the end of the untamed beyond incoherent screaming

Perfect open-ended conclusion. The right amount of bittersweet but with possibility. Can’t believe the needle they managed to thread there with the censors incredible work round of applause.

Kinda the same as point one but they do an incredible job wrapping up the Wei wuxian Jiang cheng conflict like… nobody is completely in the right nobody is completely in the wrong and at the end of the day no matter how much you wish you could just cut ties and move on you’re permanently linked together. You can’t hate them because you still love them. You can’t love them because you’re still angry. It’s so ugly and it’s so good. That final take care gutted me im bleeding out as we speak

The only woman to survive this show is, at best, a tertiary character. I hate to see it

My actual biggest disappointment was that it’s a cop out to have jgy be the one to actually kill jin xizuhan. Sorry but I think it makes the story less complex and the relationships less interesting if wwx bears no responsibility for that at all! I liked the story better and it hurt worse when wwx did in fact kill his brother in law with friendly fire sorry. I may make a longer post further justifying this I feel v strongly about it

The pacing on this show is horrendous. I’m addicted yes i binged it in 2 weeks yes but that’s despite everything about the show. Why was the climax 5 episodes long and each episode is a different conversation in the same room. Who planned this

Obsessed with the way that all of his fucked up uncles love jin ling so much. Jin guangyao strangling jin ling coming like five minutes after he says with heartbreaking sincerity that one of the worst things his father did to him was keep him from holding baby jin ling. That poor kid suddenly understands the fuckedupness of family relationships on a whole other level after that line

I feel very strongly that there is no way wen ning can possibly have simple uncomplicated entirely positive feelings toward wwx and being resurrected as a zombie like… the themes of consent and autonomy and the number of times someone in this story saves someone they love by warping or imprisoning or violating them… it’s so complex and painful. That said wwx wiping dirt off his zombie’s face like he’s a little kid makes me bawl

also the fifth episode had me sobbing, cuz the way ellie thought her blood could save sam, and then henry having to kill his own brother- like even though his brother was starting to turn, he killed him, and then decided a life without sam wasn't one worth living, I think this show is just so good man I've cried so much-

the third time was ep5. sam and henry's death didnt make me cry. i knew they were gonna die. ellie helping sam made me cry so bad. it hit so fucking hard.

ellie telling sam and helping her with her blood. there is just something in kids, alive and so caring and naive to the world. ellie in her caring nature and naivety fully believed that she could save sam. AND FUCK SHE WANTED TO. SHE HAD A FRIEND AND CARED SO MUCH. even joel saw how ellie liked henry and sam and in the sniper scene when he knew what she was gonna do to save them he didnt even question it. he helped her. he is softening. he asked henry to come with them to wyoming.

i dont think joel is the kinda person who buries people. he did it for ellie. she needed it. and as i said in my other post, for her he needed it too.

now i can’t imagine what yoongi was going through when he heard that jungkook and oc were a thing in the past and that jungkook is still into oc. seeing him kinda spiral and think that he isn’t good enough for oc and that he’ll end up alone in the end really broke me. it was also so painful seeing the tension between yoongi and oc, esp. since it was all happening in a space that yoongi considers to be safe and happy now bc of oc (im telling you, yoongi’s interlude has altered my life). i was on the verge of tears seeing them sit in the silence and knowing that both yoongi and oc’s thoughts were eating them up and making them doubt everything.

the one thing i loved so much about this chapter was that they are finally voicing everything to each other (i’m so sorry, but i have to ramble about this whole scene. i’m not kidding, this scene was so heart-clenching and beautiful). AS MUCH AS IT PAINED ME, I LOVED IT SO MUCH. seeing them voice their doubts, thoughts, and wants to each other just truly, made my heart clench. knowing that they’re putting some level of trust in each other to open up was everything. i also just loved the fact that oc caught on so quickly and became the one that guided yoongi through his thoughts and gave him the very same patience and assurance that he gave her time and time again in the past :,) so beautiful.

i know it took yoongi so much courage to tell oc that he doesn’t think he’s enough, how he’s scared that they’ll just settle, and how he thinks dalo is his fault, and i’m just so :( i loved that instead of making it about her, oc immediately empathized with yoongi and gave him what he needed in that moment. tears were in my eyes when oc told him that he’s more than enough, he is what she wants, and that nothing is his fault. i was crying when oc said if she can’t have him, she’d ask to be his friend because she still wants to have him her life and be there for him. BAWLING😭 oc handled this whole situation so perfectly and said the most comforting things ever and i want to give her a hug rn. off topic, but when they kissed and yoongi broke the kiss to take off his glasses😮‍💨 *cue that one kissing scene from business proposal* im a goner🫡

i loved that they worked through their thoughts and doubts together, and i loved seeing our wonderful oc being brave enough to take the first step. she’s grown so much and is probably one of my favorite oc’s ever 🫶🏼 i’m also proud of yoongi for being brave enough to voice his thoughts and self doubts to oc too. i also want to applaud you, ryen, for really demonstrating what a healthy relationship looks like by making these two work through it together and talk through it. this was just such an intimate and powerful scene and i loved seeing both yoongi’s and oc’s growth :)

speaking of intimacy, can we talk about yoongi showing oc one of his drafts and showing her pics and vids of holly :( this was such a soft and intimate scene and i truly am holding it super close to my heart. the fact that yoongi is such a private person already but felt okay with letting oc into his space and showing her something so raw just did it for me :( and him showing her pics and videos of holly?? im on the floor crying rn. just the fact that he trusts and loves oc enough to let her into his life and doesn’t feel the need to be so guarded with oc is making my eyes watery. absolutely beautiful. this is for sure one of my favorite fluff scenes. my poor heart was also all over the place when they were kissing and yoongi held oc’s hands :( how precious and soft :(

i’m sorry but them confessing to each other that they really like each other was so wholesome :( oc telling yoongi that he makes things make sense bc she’s always overthinking and overcomplicates things just :( yoongi telling oc that he makes her feel safe from himself bc he’s constantly at war with himself mentally :( BEAUTIFUL🥺 i was bawling so hard when oc said she wants all of him, wants to call him every morning and the last thing she hears when she sleeps, wants to cook with him and give him all the good luck kisses he wants, and talk through things just (and the fact that yoongi is really a man of action and called oc every morning and night after she told him what she wanted) :(( THE FIREWORKS PART MADE ME CRY SO HARD BTW :( also, yoongi telling oc that he wants all of her too and has been her’s for a long time made me so mushy :( also when oc finally understood that yoongi’s mind is an absolute monster and made it her mission to listen and help him get through it just :( they keep giving to each other and making it their mission to keep each other happy and free from their minds, and it’s absolutely beautiful.

ryen, this whole chapter was absolutely beautiful and im sorry to friends and yoongi’s interlude, but forfeit is now my favorite chapter. this was such a delicate, intimate, and raw piece of work and it was beautiful in every single way. i loved so many parts of this chapter and hold them all very close to my heart. from the character development, the connections and references from past chapters to now, and every little detail was immaculate. i’m truly just so in awe of you, your talent, and your story telling capabilities.

now i can’t imagine what yoongi was going through when he heard that jungkook and oc were a thing in the past and that jungkook is still into oc. seeing him kinda spiral and think that he isn’t good enough for oc and that he’ll end up alone in the end really broke me. it was also so painful seeing the tension between yoongi and oc, esp. since it was all happening in a space that yoongi considers to be safe and happy now bc of oc (im telling you, yoongi’s interlude has altered my life). i was on the verge of tears seeing them sit in the silence and knowing that both yoongi and oc’s thoughts were eating them up and making them doubt everything.

NOOO it really was painful, wasn't it? like what in the hell happened in yoongi's past for him to spiral this hard and this quickly? to immediately jump to conclusions and finding outs everywhere.. god, that was truly hard to watch. and the whole thing with reader in, what you say, is finally his safe space? tragic.

and i'll say this here: meals are significant to me in writing, and especially for this couple. the meal was unfinished, which usually means there's something unresolved. they were mostly letting their thoughts consume them instead of eating themselves.

YES. COMMUNICATION. it pained tf outta me to write, but i am satisfied - at least, i feel that way for now - with the end result and resolutions that they both came to. but dear god i was living it and things were rough as fck on my brain. it was a beautiful burden, though, and i'd go through it again if it meant they had this talk again.

the trust aspect is interesting here. because it's trust, protection all in one. yoongi had been so patient with reader this whole time because he had a feeling of what she went through with all the other relationships in uni. he didn't want reader going through that again. but what did he go through? :(( reader was so strong and patient with him this time around. i applaud them so damn hard.

GODDDD i know. all of the self-sabotage and self-doubt and self-blame was so much at once. like reader didn't know shittt about any of that?? we knew all of this from dal segno, but if you go from the end of sundress season straight into this apartment scene? can you imagine the blindside? of course reader was going to be like "oh fck ok we need to address what's happening with him bc where tf is this coming from?" they were shocked into protection mode immediately.

YES. the growth of reader is outstanding. absolutely a champion in this chapter and i'm so honored you regard them like that!! but of course, yoongi was just as brave. they were mature, they were adults. thank you so much for speaking on the healthy aspect of it bc, while it certainly wasn't perfect, i'd like to think this is the best they could've done with their situation. laying everything out like that and saying/admitting big, scary things.

honestly?? i think i'm with you on this being my fave chapter along with the OG. after thinking about it and ruminating for a week, pretty sure i agree. living through it is one thing with a whole set of feelings. but thinking it over and analyzing it days later? wow. idk how i did this but. dang. thank you so much for all the kind words and for making me realize just how much this was!
