Wanted to draw the goobers all front facing also with open mouths (where applicable). I've drawn front facing Fynn many times before, nothing new there, still very round. Euphi I've drawn front facing once, but she was looking down and I screwed up some of the details. But Nauno I've actually never drawn front facing before! He looks pretty weird tbh I feel like I screwed something up but I could not tell you what.
Figured I'd also mention that the way I draw their eyes means that yes, the eyes technically slide from the side of their heads to the front. Oh well. You can explain it away with Euphi at least by just saying heart can move heart eyes like that. But for Fynn and Nauno that is purely a stylistic decision.
Also I decided to put their names on this pretty late on and it was kinda funny when I realized I'd have to make Euphi's name smaller cause heart ears are too big lol. I've never really thought about it but compared to the other two Euphi is fucking huge wow. Fynn is a Gray Wolf, which is meant to be the largest species of canine. So what IS Euphi? Either Fynn is really small for Gray Wolf standards or Euphi is some sort of Dire Wolf. But even then Dire Wolves were the same size as modern Gray Wolves so what? I've never considered what Euphi was before heart became a Protogen. But I sure am now!
#fynn art#paint.net#furry#furry art#sfw furry#furry anthro#wolf furry#wolf fursona#avali#protogen#Seriously why Is Euphi so big#I mean I'm not complaining! Just really curious if anybody knows of some extinct canine she could theoretically have been do share!#I like learning about extinct species they're super neat

Do you have a favorite bug? Mayhaps a favorite flower?
gonna answer in opposite order so i can pic spam before the bug lol
i LOVE flowers a lot lot, i adore flowers, my absolute FAVORITES tho are tuberous begonias!!
they're maybe kinda a basic flower, they're all over the place in bouquets and gardens, but i love them, and i do specifically mean tuberous, the wax kind just look like a wind ripped through them and tore off a lot of petals but the tuberous ones with those big fluffy heads are just soooo pretty. i especially love the yellow ones, there's the ones in the pic that are mostly yellow with a tint or gradient towards the edges (pinks or oranges are the most common!) and also a really soft almost pastel yellow that's common and THAT yellow is my favorite i want a whole planter full of them
i also love cyclamens!! they're these lil guys that look like butterflies!!
they also come in a lot of colors but pink and white are fairly common, they're a popular flower around valentine's day and mother's day. they're very striking and unique when you spot them, and i just think they're cute!!
i'm not going to post pics of the bug because tumblr is REALLY prone to breaking readmores and i don't feel like jumpscaring anybody unintentionally, but just in case, if you don't like spiders, don't click on any of the links following this paragraph.
so while i don't particularly have a favorite bug, i will say i'm very attached to one particular little Real Fuckin' Big Guy, the goliath birdeater [wikipedia]. i'm not even that super keen on spiders, appreciate the work they do, even more appreciate them staying on their own side of the room and not FALLING OFF THE CEILING ONTO MY FACE-- ahem. i just think the goliath birdeater is really neat!! here's a couple other sources that aren't wikipedia and aren't super picture- or video-heavy: [AAAS] [the reptarium]
i learned about it from an old article over a decade ago that i dont feel like digging for, back when cracked.com was a thing and actually worth reading, titled "5 endangered species that aren't endangered enough." the birdeater was at #5, and the author's reason for including it was.... Big Spider. that was it! not that it's harmful or aggressive or anything! just that it's a big damn tarantula larger than your face! and that just struck me as damn rude. like, the spider living in the amazon threatened by deforestation isn't bothering you, random internet clickbait author living somewhere in the us. he's not coming to your home and walking on your face to make you acknowledge he's larger than it. he's just chilling somewhere in the amazon, eating mostly small invertebrates and toads. they don't even eat birds very often, they're opportunists but they're still just tarantulas and flying things are pretty hard for tarantulas, even very large ones, to catch. they aren't dangerous to humans, they might hiss at you to tell you to go away but they don't really want to bite, leave them alone. they're a useful and vital part of a very cool and important ecosystem in the world. what have YOU contributed to your ecosystem recently, random clickbait author.
basically! i just think it's cool that evolution allowed this to happen! it's a real big spider who's perfectly evolved for the niche it's filling! that's very cool! and i think just because people are scared of spiders and it's a Really Big One doesn't mean it deserves to go extinct with the rest of the rainforest! i care about this big damn spider so you don't have to <3
