kanthony is NOT an enemies-to-lovers story and I will die on this hill. real enemies-to-lovers is about being on opposite sides of a war, it's about trying to kill each other at least once, it's about one or both of them choosing love over their cause/ideological difference. it's a nuanced trope that is extremely difficult to pull off well.

kanthony is not that. kanthony is petty dislike to lovers. it is irritation at most. it is miscommunication. because ultimately the reason they work so well together is because their values are completely aligned from the start. they're both family oriented, protective, both side-line their own desires for others, work too hard. they've both experienced similar grief/trauma and elder sibling parentification.

it's not enemies-to-lovers, they're just stupid.
