God I'm so insane about episode 49 of mahoutsukai precure. The shot of Mirai walking through the cherry blossoms as the seasons go by and she grows up hits so hard knowing she waited years and years for Liko and Haa-chan to come back. In Mirai Days it was revealed she even kept her curtains open just in case they would come back so she would know immediately

After Liko left, Mirai first tries to figure out how to get the worlds together, but that quickly fails. Now matter how much she says "cure up rapapa" she can't do magic. She can do nothing but wait.

So, she waited and waited. Not knowing when Liko would come back. How long would it take? How old would they be when that time came? She knows they are gonna return one day, but she misses everyone so so much. She enjoys life, she makes the best of everything, but she's sad. They aren't with her after all.

Mirai keeps going, one day. One day, they'll see eachother again. She has to keep believing in her friends...
