Hello! This is such a nice question. I'll be honest, 5 was too hard so here's a little list of movies I find really comforting:

Fantastic Mr Fox - most Wes Anderson movies are comforting but this one has got to be on top.

Valerie and her Week of Wonders - so beautiful!

Picnic at Hanging Rock

Withnail and I

Not a movie but Twin Peaks, especially the first season

Pan's Labyrinth - kind of an odd choice I guess because it's very sad, but I just love the dark fairy tale atmosphere

Amèlie

Before Sunrise

Vertigo

Roman Holiday and Charade are the most comforting old Hollywood movies imo

The Love Witch - again I just love the vibes

Pretty muchany Eric Rohmer film

La Double Vie de Véronique

Spirited Away - another obvious one but it's obvious for a reason! I also love Howl's Moving Castle.

I've probably forogtten some but if I think of anything that must be on the list I'll add it later. I also find a few horror movies comforting but I thought I'd leave them off the list. That said, some of these might be odd choices but they all just have something to them that I find so happy and relaxing.

I'm always up for recommendations if you think I'd like something!
