Masterlist
That night as laid with your mother on the sleeping pile, you couldn't stop thinking about that boy. Sure you have seen the Omaticaya na'vi before, but never one so close. You began to have these feelings that you had never felt, you didn't know how to explain them. That night you barely got any sleep due to your constant thinking of those feelings, it felt weird, specially thinking of that boy who's name was Neteyam.
The next morning you were woken up by your mother, you didn't want to since you barely slept that night but your mother wasn't having it. You along with her and some cubs went into the woods to search for something to eat. It was your turn to help the pups hunt and defend themselves. After a while you had manage to get them to pay attention since all they wanted to do was play.
Your mother had manage to hunt down a Hexapede, so you and the cubs could eat. She always made sure you and the pups ate first then she had her share. As you ate the bloody raw meat, you had been distracted, normally you'd tell the cubs to not play with their food but your head was in the clouds, thinking of that boy.
Txurtu had been the one to lightly hiss the pups as a warning to stop playing and eat, they immediately did as they were told. Then she turned to you who was finished eating, but still thinking. She lightly licked your hand to get your attention which it worked. "What is it mama?" you asked, looking into her cat like green eyes. She let out a soft growl in which you understood. "Nothing just thinking" you responded, looking back at the cubs who were now finished eating and playing around with each other.
Your mother gave you a look, making you glare at her "no I'm not thinking of that boy!" you protested, looking away from her with your face heating up embarrassed. Txurtu made a noise which sounded as if she was laughing at you, she probably was. "Okay, so what if I am, he is making me feels all sorts of things I can't explain" you admitted to your mother, knowing she'll learn sooner or later. Again, she purred and licked your hand as a form of comfort. "See him again? I don't know mama, he probably thinks of me, as if I were a monster... I mean look at me" you said sadly looking down at your pale hand.
Txurtu gave you a sad look and licked your cheek as form of comfort, making you giggle. "You only say that because you're my mama" you said, making her give you a stern look causing you to giggle at her reaction. Then she stopped to think for a moment, then she gave you a playful look, in which you knew what she was implying.
"Meet him? Mama who knows if I'll ever see him again, he must be busy with his people like I am with the pups" You said, seen how your mother began to eat the butchered animal, but her idea didn't sound so bad, maybe you could meet him again and maybe properly introduce him to your mother. After your mother had been finished with her food, you along with her and the cubs went back to were the pack was located.
Just like you Neteyam couldn't stop thinking about you, he had never seen anyone like you in his life. It was his first time ever coming across someone like you, even though he just met you that night, he couldn't help but think how beautiful you looked. Specially with that spear and spirit of yours, he had to meet you again, get to know you better and this time you don't try to kill him.
That afternoon, Neteyam had finally been free from his duties, so he decided to go find you again. He'd hoped to find you in the same spot that you both had met. He left the hut in a hurry, not noticing someone go right behind him, it was non other but his mother.
You were back the spot, waiting, you felt dumb waiting for someone who you may never see again, but at the same time you hoped that he'd somehow show up. You were sitting on the grass with your mother who was fast asleep on your right, you ran your hand on back top of her head into her back. She did the same to you when you were much younger, so you'd do the same to her.
After couple more minutes, you heard someone approaching. You got a hold of your spear, ready to defend your mother, only to be met by the boy. "You're here" Neteyam said panting, trying to catch his breath, assuming he must have been running. This made your heart flip, seen him again made your stomach flutter as well, were you getting sick?
You cleared your throat, getting up from the ground. Ignoring how your tail began to sway from side to side, happily. "I mean, this part of the forest Is my favorite spot" you avoided eye contact. Looking at your to your left while holding your spear tall. Also trying to brush off the blush that had grown in your face.
Neteyam only chuckled, it was obvious that you were shy, but also feisty. "Yeah, it is nice here, I might make it my new favorite spot" he teased, making you turn to him, chocking on thin air. "Wh- I called this spot first" you said glaring at him, only for him to laugh at your now cute red face. "Hmp! Rude!" you said crossing your arms, then your mother had opened her eyes, causing Neteyam to back off a bit nervous.
Seen his reaction, you looked down at your mother who was now staring at the nervous boy. "It's okay, she won't harm you" you said as your mother then got up, showing how much taller she was then you and him together. Neteyam still wasn't sure whether to run or to approach you both, until you reached out your hand to him, motioning him to come closer. He slowly walked over to you, not wanting to alarm your mother.
He had heard stories about the Paluluka, how they were aggressive and dangerous animals. His mother had rode one during the battle when he was slowly growing in her stomach. Which made her Paluluka Makto. He was now face to face with you and Txurtu. "Just breath" you responded, slowly taking his hand. Neteyam nodded and took a deep breath to calm down a bit. You had brought his hand up to your mother's snout allowing her to smell his scent.
Neteyam looked away, still having his hand out by you who had let go of it. Allowing him to do this on his own, he felt as if the blue had drained from his body, feeling as if he was going die in the spot, but then he felt something wet on his palm. He slowly looked over, seen that your mother had her snout on his palm. You giggled seen how pale he was, even paler than you. "See, you didn't die, my mother likes you."
This made Neteyam sigh in relief, he couldn't believe that a Paluluka had approved of him "I'm sorry, I just, never been face to face with a Paluluka" he admitted, making your mother gave him a look, which you knew it was a smile for sure. "Well, my mama is the first one" you said teasing him a bit, still feeling him nervous. You couldn't help but smile by this. Then you thought of something. "How would you feel if you rode her as well?" you asked with a small smirk, seen him turn to you in shock. "Ride? But.. are you sure she won't have a problem?" he asked, seen you hop on your mother's back and latched your queues together.
"Come on, don't you trust me?" you teased at him. "I mean, we met yesterday, but a little trust wouldn't hurt" you said, seen that he was hesitant at first, but then finally made up his mind. "No, it wouldn't" he said with a smile, then you helped him get on your mother's hand. "Hold onto me" you said, feeling how he wrapped his arms around your waist, then you instructed your mother to take off in which she did.
The ride was fun, Neteyam was used to riding his Ikra, but a Paluluka? It was a new experience for him. As he rode with you, he felt as if he had never seen certain parts of the forest, you must know the whole forest like the back of your hand. What was even better was your company, every time you both would look eye to eye, you'd quickly look away from each other, making things a bit awkward but also funny at the same time.
You'd smile every now and then, feeling his arms around your waist made your stomach and heart go crazy. You had never had this much contact with anyone other then your mother or the cubs, the feeling of another na'vi touching your was different. Was it just with him or would it be the same feeling with any other any?
The ride had come to stop, it had was going to be dusk soon, and Neteyam needed to head back home or a search party will be sent out. Your mother had taken him near the village, she decided to keep her distance since she didn't want to risk hers and yours safety.
Neteyam had got off your mother. "I really enjoyed the ride" he said with a smile, petting your mother's snout. You smiled back at him, seeing him interact with her. "I'm glad" you responded, then he turned to you, looking into your red eyes. As you both locked eyes, you felt as if time had stopped, not to mention your heart was beating at a fast pace. "I hope I see you soon." Neteyam said, causing you to break out of the strong trance.
"Y-yeah! me too! but only if you want to, it's not like you have to" You rambled, feeling your face heat up, not to mention the small chuckle that came from your mother. Neteyam smile, greeting both you and your mother a goodnight then left. You watched him leave into the light, you missed him already. Then your mother let out a purr. "I don't know why but I miss him already" you said sadly.
Your mother turned the other direction, walking away from the village, giving you a response by your statement. "You think so mama?" you asked her, seen her look to her side at you as a form of reassurance. "I mean, not that I-" you stopped, seen the side eye your mother was giving you, making you just sigh and lay on your stomach with your arms crossed on top of her head. "Yeah, I guess you're right" you admitted.

It is my birthday next month.
As I live in Hong Kong & my family are slowly realising its not feasible to ship me gifts from England themselves, I sent links to my sister for the things I want: everything from art supplies to cosmetics to books.
My sister forwarded the Book Depository links directly to my mother. 'Send these to Yado directly, its free shipping to HK,' she said.
So, what did my mother do?
She copied the book titles down, ordered them from the Waterstones website and got them sent to the store.
In England.
Now, I don't know if you know this, but Hong Kong is not in England. There are around 6000 miles between the two places.
And did you also know that books are rather heavy? And p&p is often calculated according to the weight of the package?
#not a payday post#Yado irl#My sister went ballistic btw#I have told her she must make my mother sort it out & pay so she'll learn for future#Yado's crack'ead stories

When your crush is angry all the time
Ch.6
"A red haired bitch that glows"
2nd person pov
ยฐโขโโโโขยฐโขโโโโขยฐโขโโโโขยฐ
You weren't sure how things could even possibly move so quick, but as fire burned and terrifying creatures tormented citizens, all You could do was stand. Nomus, is what endeavour called them. Some gross being that seemed to have multiple quirks, you'd never seen anything like them.ย
Even with all of the times you'd been beaten and interrogated and harassed by villains, nothing like this ever happened. It could have been the fact that you spent most of your young life hiding away in a castel in the middle of nowhere, but seeing all this destruction froze you in place.ย
"Kid, help get the citizens out of here! Do not engage in combat, understand? Hey! L/n!"
You broke the terrified stare that was burning into the ruined city streets to meet eyes with your boss. He seemed so calm, even though everything was going wrong. The world was quite literally burning. Those monsters were hurting people. There were screams of horror, and still his calm demeanor was all you could focus on. How was he so calm?ย
"Now!"
His yell broke You from your trance and you scrambled around, eyes searching for someone, anyone to get the hell out of here. However there wasn't just one, there were hundreds. Some under building scraps, trapped behind fire burning the streets. Too many people, too much noise, it was never this loud back home. Why could you just focus?!ย
One of those boys from earlier today let our scream. You only recognized it because it was the same as how he'd screamed at bakugou earlier. You whipped your head around looking for his sound, body, anything. Spinning in circles until you caught that little red shirt cowering beneath one of those things.ย
"Hold on, i'm coming!" You didn't know if he could hear you, the statement was more a confirmation to yourself. You wouldn't stand there cowering. You didnt wanna be the helpless princess waiting to be saved. You were going to save others, it was like an instinct, like you had to.ย
Being unsure of your abilities with vines and plants, you opted to use a power long ago mastered. Twirling your pointer finger in a circle to slowly collect wind into a tiny ciclone and build it up bigger and bigger. This action disrupted the wind in the area, some of the bystanders' hair began flowing with the force of it, getting shivers from the chill.ย
Then with all the focus you could muster you let your eyes bored right into the head of that nomu aiming with your mind and following the action with your finger. Then, with a snap, the ciclone flew off towards it, lifting it into the air and growing larger the more he struggled.ย
You felt the pressure of all that wind, and its body on your back. Hundreds of pounds of pressure on your spine, but adrenaline forced you forward. Sprinting to the boy in the red shirt, crouching down under all that weight to wipe away his tears. You completely ignored how underdressed you were and brought his small form into a tight embrace, whispering sweet nothings to which you didn't know you could say.ย
It all felt so wrong, so opposite to what you wanted, but you couldn't help it. Grazing the lasso on your thigh an idea sprouted in your mind as to how you could get this crushing weight off of your back. You let the boy down telling him to stay behind you.ย
Don't engage in combat.ย
Do not engage.ย
Get them out of here.ย
Ignoring your mentors words, you snatched the lasso off of your thigh, doing as you were taught and lighting it ablaze, if your mother was thinking straight, she'd have it made of mineral wool- fire retardant and easily manipulated. The flames would not be actually catching on anything but the air, therefore saving her from an uncontrollably fire.ย
As it lit up your hair not only changed, but shined a bright red. It was so brilliant that it lit up the area around you, the boy behind you shocked and the people in the vicinity scared.ย
However, you had a hero suit on. That meant to them, that you were trustworthy.ย
You swing the lasso all but twice above your head before releasing the ciclone, and the pressure on your back, and whipping it towards the monster.ย
It had activated some sort of electricity quirk once free from the wind and as the lasso made contact, rather than burning and bringing the nomu to the ground, it sent a high-powered electrical current through your already spent body.ย
You should have stopped there, tossed the kid out of the way and called for help. Yet, for some reason you couldn't. Being shocked only numbed the pain on your spine more, and upped your adrenaline. Bad news for mr.nomu, huh?ย
"Whew, that's one way to boost your energy huh, kid?"
ย You smirked back at the worried boy behind you, hoping a joke would lighting the mood now. Similar to how you would joke in class yo avoid any real emotions or connections.ย
Only, now, it held the benefit of an adorable smirk appearing on his face and a little giggle exciting his mouth.ย
"Watch this!"ย
Despite being electrocuted your lasso was still intact, so you took to attacking it around the monster's leg and pulling back towards you. Once it was too close for your liking, you shot a roundhouse kick into the empty space in front of you. It seemed like a fruitless action, until the surrounding citizens noticed how the wind around them mirrored your actions with equal force.ย
The nomu went flying out of the city, likely landing somewhere around hosu (๐Yes, hosu) and you released the pressure on your leg.ย
As soon as you took the time to inhale, your back gave out, and you fell to the ground.ย
However you hadn't given up, using the little burst you could make with your fingers, you shot several people away from the mess with winds. Then, after what you counted to be person number 34, you gave out and the world went black.ย
The heroes in the area who were not distracted by nomus had been paying close attention to your actions, surprised they haven't seen you in the sports festival, or anywhere for that matter.ย
Mr. Woods was disappointed at the initiative you took, knowing how injured you must be from being out of practice with most parts of your quirk. However when endeavour informed the other pros of some sort of incident in hosu, he was forced to leave you there. Limp body cold against the concrete.ย
When doctors and healers arrived, you were one of the first in an ambulance and on the road to the hospital, and the news reports of your body being wheeled off were matched with that of your battle with the nomu. Streaming across all platforms and displaying on one particular tv screen, in the hotel room of one fire quirked boy.ย
A boy who truly was noticing he had no idea what you were capable of. A boy who was angry you'd been holding it back in class. One who had been thinking of the way you spoke of fire to that little boy all day, and above all a boy who was entranced by the glow of your hair when it turned red.ย
Bakugou wasn't sure how to process these overwhelming feelings towards you, the stalker girl who said dumb shit about his eyes. Still, after seeing that video, the feeling your own eyes held, staring up at that devilish creature. He could no longer say he didn't know what you meant by being obsessed with the look in his eyes. He was now too.ย
A six year old girl struggled against her restraints tirelessly. She has a power that she doesn't know how to use, and yet these men want to take it from her. There is one door exit, it's blocked by tall men in black suits. The whole room echoes with screams from children. It crashes against the walls and her little ears, and she cant get it to stop.ย
Why was this happening to her? Why couldn't she do anything to stop it?ย
"Please, just let my brother go! Please I'll do anything. Im sorry. Im sorry. Plea-"
Her words are stopped by a suffocating hand, larger than her whole face, it reeks of bleach. Her little eyes can only release so many tears before they are running over the hands knuckles, wetting his skin with her despair. The man doesn't care, though. The men never seem to care.ย
Her brother, only two years old, cries in a stranger's arms. The stranger showed her how he could completely disassemble any object, or put it back together. What a horrible powerful quirk. With something like that, she really couldn't tell why he needed hers too. Still, he did.ย
So the tiny boy whined in his firm hold, terrified, but not sure why. They both just wanted their Mommy. Mommy always comes to save them, she and her friends will take them home. To the castle, with the comfy beds, the pillowy blankets that their small bodies float on like clouds.ย
Not this rough metal wall, with arms chained, and bruises forming from their so-called interrogation. Why didn't they understand?ย
She doesn't know how to give her quirk away. She is only six, after all.ย
Mommy told her that men are greedy. Men like these have all they want and still need more. They take things, without asking. They took her and her brother without asking, so where was Mommy? To tell these men that you aren't supposed to take things, or hit people.ย
Where are their mommies? Did no one tell them hitting people is bad? Especially smaller people. Is that why the men are bad? Because they didn't have a Mommy or daddy to tell them how to be good? The little girl is lost in a pit of sympathy. Sympathy that she does not owe these horrible men, yet she can't help it.ย
"I don't give a shit princess, your brother can go home when you give us the quirk."
"Mommy never told me how! I'm sorry mรญster that you don't have a mo-mommy!" She sobre through the rough palm over her mouth. At the response he removed his grip, though. Opting to allow the girl her voice.ย
"P-please. I'm sorry, I'm sorry no one told you not to be mean. It's okay though! My Mommy will come, she'll tell you, okay! Please j-just-" though her words held great meaning to those men in suits-bad men- she couldn't finish. Her sobs were too loud and violent. Her little arms shook, because though she was such a sweet little girl, she was terrified.ย
Her cheeks hurt from screaming and tensing to release tears.ย Her arms hurt from being suspended at her sides. Her little legs had lost all feeling, gone numb under the pressure of standing for so long. She just wanted to go home, to keep her brother safe.ย
Even being only six, she felt so stupid for being so helpless. It was her job to protect their family quirk, but she wanted to give it up. More so, even though she wanted to give it away, she didn't even know how.ย
A small, weak girl, helpless really. She never wanted to be helpless like that again.ย
"Now!" His hand collided with her cheek. Hard, swinging, jaw snapping pressure. It rang through her ears, like her baby brothers sobs, til she shot up from her bed.ย
-
-
-
Sweat covered by/ns face as she jolted awake in her bed. Around her were some unrecognizable faces, or that's what she thought at first. Except, in truth, they were simply blurred in her eyes.ย
As she was taught when she was little, she began recounting things to herself that might make her come back to reality. Might help ease the fear of her dream.ย
- I am not 6 years oldย
-my brother is at home in the castleย
-im not in a warehouseย
-those men are in prisonย
-i am aliveย
As she was repeating each of those truths in her head, her eyesight began to come back so that she could recognize the faces of those around her. Three boys: todoroki, midoriya, and iida.ย
Midoriya was furthest from her, as she now noticed she was on a bed. Then iida, and closest was todoroki. The familiarity of his stone face gave y/n great comfort. However, he looked troubled.
The three boys in the hospital room with her were truthfully at a loss. This girl who had been at their school for one week, had proved more honest and heroic than them. After being scolded by the chief of police, they were each confronting their own feelings about the events.
However, each came to the conclusion that y/n was the only participating hero-in-training that followed the rules and fought earnestly. Little did they know, she had been breaking rules too, except her wouldn't be hid so easily.ย
What were the police meant to do, a teenage girl-princess no less- save countless lives, that heroes were neglecting, and its broadcast all over japan. Unlike in the boys' case, where the media didn't even have to know, everyone had already seen her heroism, but they had no idea where she came from.ย
Some viewers pointed out her position as a princess, but no one expected to see her in a hero outfit anytime soon. They knew what happened was illegal, but what backlash would they face for arresting her. Could they even arrest her?ย
Still, all y/n knew was that she was scared, and she needed to hide it as deep within her as it could reach. No one likes a cry baby, anyway.ย
"Oh..uh, hey guys?"
The first to look up was the green haired, face widening in surprise and worry.ย
"Y/n! Y-you're up!? Wait, don't sit up yet..um they said your bac-"
"You left damage on all your thoracic vertebrae. You could have killed yourself with that amount of pressure!"ย
Todoroki interrupted. Face still void of emotion, but his voice held anger.ย
Making sure to agnowledged how touched she was that he cared at all, y/n then quickly brushed it off. In the mood for jokes, not fights. She just finished fighting, why would she wanna argue some more about it?ย
"Aww~todoroki, were you worried about me?"
"Yes. It was stupid of you to use your quirk like that, out of practice and such."ย
"Um-"
"There's no um. he is right y/n, i didn't know your quirk could do that, but you obviously haven't been keeping it in practice during class, that was really risky..." midoriya added on in a ramble.ย
Feeling a bit cornered she settled for sighing and staring up at the ceiling.ย
"Can I walk?"
"No"ย
"Why not?"
"Did you not here the whole vertebrae thing, i-"
"No, I did, but I don't feel any pain...is it not healed?"
"I'm not really sure, we can ask.."
So slowly but surely, the boys helped her sit up, and yes, she did feel an immense pain shoot through her. Additionally, she was compensated with shoto conspiracizing about his negativo afecta on peoples hands, getting to know these classmates better. They even let her in on why they were in the hospital to begin with.ย
She would have to admit, though these boys being around made her happy, she was still thinking about bakugou. Was he in the area during the fight? Is he okay? Why do I give a shit about that mean old fact face anyway? Oh, right. His eyes.ย
The rest of her time was spent ignoring the extreme trauma these events reminded her of, and fantasizing about those angry eyes.ย
Bakugou pov ๐ก
ยฐโขโโโโขยฐโขโโโโขยฐโขโโโโขยฐ
There the bitch was, right on my hotel tv screen, fighting the same fight on replay. Those media bastards hasn't stopped talking about her all day. How even when she was barely alive on the ground, she kept saving people.ย
I know it wasn't about me, hell, I wasn't even there, but it feels like a taunt. Some karma cause I called her an entitled princess, or her purposefully saying "Look what I can do."ย
Well I fucking am. Looked like some sort of wind quirk, but I saw her use fire with those kids, and in class she makes that plant shit. So what the hell is she? She thinks having multiple quirks makes her better than me? Good enough she doesn't have to use them all just to beat me? Thats bullshit.ย
I'm just so fucking angry at her for it, but I have to be. Or else, the next time they show her shitty face on that shitty screen, looking
...shitty, i'll start to worry.ย
That maybe she has only been here for a week, but she is already gone. That the whole time at school she spent avoiding me, to make me happy. Worrying I'll never hear her say what she looks at in my eyes.ย
In her eyes, that night, I saw pure rage. It almost looked as if she couldn't control it. An impending anger that loomed over her, and controlled her; made her strong. Not stronger than me, but strong.ย
Still, I can't go "falling for'' every girl that I see with strength. If a dunce 's face hadn't told me that feeling I had at the festival was a crush, I could have spared myself a week worth of it, I don't even know what.ย
Stupid dunce face.ย
Now, though, that shitty princess, even if she is shitty. Well, she has at least my respect.ย

Sandy sat next to Arthur in the hospital room. His mother laid next to the two of them. Gently comforting Arthur, Sandy rubbed his back. His eyes stayed focused on his mother.
"She'll be fine, sweetheart. I'm gonna go get a coffee. Do you want one?" Sandy got up, kissing Arthur's forehead.
"Yeah," He whispered, gently.
Sandy walked down to the hospital's cafeteria, grabbing two black coffees.
"So in a world where everyone thinks they can do my job. Get a load of this guy, who thinks that if you just keep laughing, people will think you're funny." Murray Franklin spoke through the television screen. Sandy looked over at Arthur, who was holding onto his mother's hand.
Sandy never liked Murray Franklin, it always reminded her of her uncle's cigars. It made her shiver. She knew how much Murray meant to Arthur, even though she didn't care about the guy all that much, she loved seeing Arthur happy.
"You know, haha, I hated school, ha, when I was a kid. I, ha ha, h-hated school. My mother would say 'You should enjoy it, one day you'll have to work for a living.' No, I won't, ma. I'm gonna be a comedian."
Arthur's eyes were glued on the television screen. He turned over to Sandy, and grabbed her hand, pointing at the TV to prove it was him. She smiled, holding his hand.
"Heh, you should've listened to your mother." Murray said, as the audience roared with laughter. "Play another clip, Bobby. I love this guy."
Another clip of Arthur's stand up began to play.
"When I told people I was gonna be a comedian, everyone laughed at me. Well, no one's laughing now."
"You can say that again, pal." Murray commented.
Arthur's joy quickly became anger. He let out of Sandy's hand.
"Now, this is my personal favorite. Some girl runs up on stage, and kisses the guy. Makes me think she's an actress getting paid to do it."
It was Sandy running up onstage, kissing Arthur. There was a bunch of ooos and ahhs from the audience.
Sandy glared at the TV. "What an asshole." She mumbled, under her breath. Sandy looked over at Arthur.
Arthur didn't look at her. He had a strong grimace on his face.
"Are you real?" He asked. He turned around to Sandy. "Or are you just a 'paid actress'?" Arthur spat out the word 'actress.' Arthur's emerald eyes bored into Sandy head.
Sandy smiled gently at Arthur. "Darling, I'm as real as you are now. I'm a real life, breathing human being. I love you, Arthur." Sandy held Arthur's hand close to her chest.
Arthur felt frozen in place as he felt Sandy's heartbeat steady in his palm. He leaned in the crook of her neck, keeping his hand on her chest.
"Let's go, Artie." Sandy smiled, kissing his head.
"Ok." He whispered, softly.
Sandy led Arthur to his apartment. "Are you sure you don't want me to stay with you in your apartment? I'd be more than happy to." She asked, politely.
"I'll be ok." Arthur jiggled his keys opening his front door. Sandy turned away, walking towards the elevator.
"Hey, Sandy." Arthur called.
Sandy turned around. "Yeah." She called back.
"Could you stay?" Arthur asked, meekly.
She smiled. "Of, course."
Sandy sat comfortably on the couch with Arthur on her lap.
"Fuck Thomas Wayne and Fuck the system." An angry protester shouted on the television. It seemed like Thomas Wayne was all over the news, as well as the riots and the protesters.
Sandy wasn't paying attention. Her hands subconsciously ran through Arthur's hair.
"So, Wayne manor didn't go well?" She asked, slowly falling asleep.
"No, it didn't. Maybe tomorrow." Arthur mumbled against her thighs, watching closely to the television screen.
"Maybe." Sandy repeated. "Tomorrow's that rally. That sure sounds like fun. I never did like Thomas Wayne."
Arthur lifted his head up from her lap. "Why not?"
Sandy shrugged, not answering his question.
She looked up at the TV screen. "My uncle died today." Sandy said, aloud. Her face held no emotion.
Arthur looked up at her. His eyes filled up with remorse. "Oh. That must be hard." Arthur got up to her eye level.
Sandy started laughing hysterically. "Ha, you know what's funny, Art. He can't hurt me anymore. Just like Dennis. Those poor, poor, fucking bastards."
Arthur got off of Sandy's lap. He looked at her in shock. Her laughter was uncharacteristic.
"Why should we feel sorry? Because I'll tell you one thing, Art. I haven't felt a single bit of remorse since those fuckers croaked." Sandy's laughter subsided.
It clicked in Arthur. "Wow." Arthur's laughter was triggered from Sandy's.
"Laugh it up, baby. Life is a comedy. That's why people laugh, because laughter takes your breath away. Much like a kiss." Sandy picked up a cigarette that was lying on the floor.
Arthur continued his laughter. "Y-you're right, Sandy. Ha, ha, ha."
She smirked holding the cigarette in her mouth.
His laughter subsided. He looked up at Sandy with pain in his eyes. "You're just like me. I've never met someone like you. Someone that understands." Arthur looked down at Sandy's arm. He saw the burn in the center of her arm. "What happened there?" He pointed to it.
She lit the cigarette in her mouth and looked at him shrugging.
Arthur held Sandy's arm. "Please don't." He kissed Sandy's burn. "Please, dear."
Arthur's pitiful expression was too much for Sandy. She held him close and broke down crying. "I love you, Arthur."
He smiled returning the favor. "I love you too." He kissed her cheek gently.
Sandy laid on Arthur's chest, feeling his heartbeat. His heart made a soft beat lulling her too sleep.
The sun shined through the window, beaming on Sandy's forehead. Her nose twitched as she opened her eyes to her surroundings. She was laying in bed next to a sleeping Arthur. Sandy smiled at his sleeping figure, leaning over giving him a kiss on his forehead. Arthur's sleepy ocean green eyes slowly opened.
"Good morning." Sandy smiled, kissing his cheek.
"Hmmm." Arthur mumbled, pulling Sandy closer.
"Hey, are you heading to the rally tonight?" She fluffed his hair a little bit, trying to get his attention.
Arthur mumbled something that sounded like a yes.
Sandy smiled. She got off the bed. Arthur made a faint whine.
"What? I have to get my stuff from my apartment." She giggled. "I'm off from work, but I still gotta check my messages. I'll be back."
Arthur lifted his head, tilting it slightly at Sandy. "You promise?"
Sandy kissed his head. "I promise."
She walked out of the bedroom, giving Arthur a small glance.
Sandy walked up to her apartment, using the stairs. The elevator was getting fixed, so she couldn't use that. Once she entered her apartment, Sandy went to her kitchen. The rats had gotten into her fridge and chewed up her paper towels and all her remaining food. She sighed, rubbing her temples. Sandy tapped on the answering machine.
"You have (1) new message." The same monotonous voice said.
"Voicemail 1:
Sandy? Hi! It's your cousin, Deliah. I've sure you've heard about our dad. Destiny has been been living out in the country for a while, but she'll be home in time for the wake. Since, Daddy's funeral isn't until tomorrow, I wanted ask if we could hang. It hasn't been the same since you've moved to the bad part of Gotham. Not to mention with the riots going on, it'd be nice to catch up."
The message ended.
Sandy rolled her eyes. She picked up the phone and dialed some numbers.
"Sandy! Hi Sugar! How are you?" Deliah's Jersey accent called through the phone.
"I've been fine, Dee. How about you?" Sandy said, tired. She had played through the motions in her head.
Dee wasn't a sort of trustworthy person. She had a long history of drug abuse, and was a trust fund baby at it's finest.
"Oh, I've been better. Ya know, I'm heading to this bar, tonight, down by Wayne Hall. You should come." Dee said, excitedly through the phone.
"I don't know, Dee." Sandy sighed.
"Come on, Sandy. I know tensions are high right now, but you should really loosen up. It'll be great for ya. Who knows maybe we can find you a lucky guy?" Dee teased on the phone.
Sandy scoffed. "I think I'm all set."
"Sandy, please. I'm begging. It'll be fun. I promise." Dee whined.
"Ugh. Fine, okay. If you'll excuse me, I have to get going." Sandy groaned, rubbing her temples.
"Great! See ya at 6." Dee hung up the phone.
Sandy gently put the phone back on the kitchen counter. She had cleaned up her kitchen, and decided to head back downstairs again.
Arthur had already gotten up. He cleaned up around his apartment. He heard a familiar knock at the door. Arthur walked over and opened the door.
He smiled widely. "Hey, I was beginning to worry about you." Arthur said, half jokingly.
"Yeah, one of my cousins, Dee, called. She wants me to come with her to some bar." Sandy sighed, frustrated while sitting on the couch.
Arthur's eyebrows furrowed into a frown. "You're not going, are you?"
"I didn't say no." Sandy shrugged.
Arthur looked down, turning his back to Sandy. "Ok." He said, coolly.
She put her hand on his shoulder. "Hey, don't worry, dear. It's near Wayne Hall. It will be lame." Her reassurance wasn't enough.
"Uh-huh." He answered back, sharply.
"Arthur, babe, please don't act like this. I know it's unexpected, but Dee kept pestering me, besides the funeral's tomorrow and I-"
Arthur cut Sandy off with a glare. He walked up to her and hugged her tightly.
"You are mine." He growled through his teeth.
Sandy's eyes widened. "Arthur I-"
Arthur cupped her face, and cut her off again with a kiss. Sandy kissed back, putting her hands around his neck. She back up into a wall. Arthur pulled away.
Sandy smirked. "Do you really think that would convince me not to go?"
Arthur looked down, backing away from Sandy. "Yeah." He smirked back. "Did it work?"
"Almost." Sandy giggled, kissing his forehead.
Arthur frowned, again.
Sandy gently pet Arthur's head. "Hey, I'll be back before the rally. I love you, Art." She kissed his forehead.
Arthur wanted to trust her. He felt happiness around her. He didn't want that happiness to go away.
"I love you too, Sandy. You're my everything." Arthur's eyes dilated.

The Life of Elara Ware
This is a Harry Potter fanfic. Main character Elara is an original character by moi and is George Weasleys gf they started dating in 5th year. she's half blood hens the mention of muggle technology before anyone asks. And it's set during the GOF. I've never written anything like this before either so be nice.
Chapter 1
Elara couldn't help the smile that spread across her face. She read the note again, unable to hide her relief at the sight of the familiar untidy scrawl. 'Elara its okay we're good. please dont worry. oh and Mom says you can still come. You'll have to share with Ginny and Hermione though. sorry we're a busy house at the moment. but seriously don't worry. None of us got hurt. A bit shaken up but we're fine. Dads been thrown into it at work though sorting it all. I've never seen him look so tired. and mums been really nice to us since we got back. Gotta say I dont know what's more annoying. The way she keeps fussing like we're about to drop dead any minute. I think I preferred her nagging. it wont last long. All it'd take is one glimpse of a joke wand or ton tongue toffee and she'll be back to her normal screaming self. Speaking of which, you wait till I show you what we've done. Think instant. projectile. vomit! genius huh? Anyway I'll see you really soon. Love your favourite red headed knight in shining armour.'
She rolled her eyes. George was many things but a knight in shining armour was pushing it.
Collapsing back onto her bed Elara felt the tension seeping off her shoulders. Ever since the news had broken the previous day about the attack at the quidditch world cup she'd been going out of her mind with worry. No matter how many times she tried she hadn't heard a thing let alone any news on the Weasleys. Until now. She closed her eyes and pushed away the dreadful images that'd been swirling in her mind. Each scenario more terrible than the last. Its okay. They're okay. You'll see them really soon. With that final reassuring thought she sat up and made her way downstairs.
The house was silent, which was to be expected. Her parents were working so she was home alone again. She didn't mind. After all these years she was used to it. Used to the last minute I've got to gos and sorry I'm going to be home lates. They weren't to blame, such was the nature of their jobs. Elara looked around the spacious hallway. The mid afternoon sun shone through the glass door at the end of the hall and lit up the stairwell. Its beams reflecting off the crystals of the chandelier. Her parents had worked hard to pay for all this and they did it all for her. She knew better than to be ungrateful for a few lonely evenings here and there. She glanced across at the clock. 4:30. She was unsure when to expect her mother but Elara knew her dad wouldn't be home anytime soon. She looked at the letter again still clutched tightly in her hands. It was no surprise Mr Weasley had been called in. From what her father had told her the ministry was trying to get every available person in to figure out who was responsible for the disaster at the world cup. As an experienced member of the department of international magical cooperation; Hamlin Ware had been one of the first called on the scene and he hadn't been home since. This told Elara one thing. The ministry of magic didn't have a clue who was behind it or why they attacked.
4:40. It hadn't occurred to her that she'd been stood on the second to last step for 10 whole minutes lost in thought. "get a grip" she muttered to herself under her breathe as she walked towards the kitchen. She was staring at the cupboards trying to decide if she was hungry enough to start cooking dinner when the phone rang.
"Hey honey. how are you doing?" Her mother sounded exhausted on the end of the line.
"yeah I'm good. I've finally heard from George. He's okay. they're all okay."
"well thank heavens for that!" she said. Elara heard her mothers exhale of relief. "yeah I know. He said I'm still okay to stay there for the last few days of the holidays"
"see? we said he'd be alright didn't we? oh and I really don't want to impose on their family, especially after this, but... oh thank the lord for Molly Weasley. Yes. If shes truly okay with that then great. It'd be a massive help. Look I'm sorry my lovely but Adrian's sons not well again. poor lad. hes had to take extended leave to look after him. I mean, why the mother can't look after her own boy now and again is beyond me but, hey, that's none of my business i suppose. And Veronica's being her usual, I'm too important to do any work, self. Oh you should have seen her earlier. 'oh look at me in my brand new Porsche'. its orange! and not a nice orange like a sunset or something. no, like fake tan gone wrong, that's what it looks like. Uh. Anyway. Breathe Mary-Anne. The point is I'm the only other translator in the office that speaks fluent enough Polish for the conference next week. I'm sorry darling that's 2 weeks in London"
Elara could feel her mothers guilt almost radiating through the speaker.
"it's okay mum. really I understand. i dont mind. I'll go to the Weasleys and they can take me to kings cross itll be fine."
"oh my girl what did I do to deserve you?"
"hmm, not sure. but it must've been good. maybe you saved a village from plague in a past life"
Her mother chuckled. Then she grew silent. After a moment she said
"I'm probably going to be late tonight too"
there was no hiding the hint of sadness in her voice.
"I know" Elara said "it's okay. theres some leftovers hiding in this kitchen somewhere and they've got my name on them."
"Larie"
"Mum. stop. it's fine. look I'm going to have some food. have a shower. then have an early night. honestly you're not missing out on much. I'll see you tomorrow. okay?"
"okay. oh Larie I love you. more than anything in this world.
"love you too mum"
"oh and remember to check the doors locked properly and..."
"and check the security systems running. I know mum I've got it"
"you checked your trunk? you're starting your newts this year. Can't be leaving anything important behind."
"yes I've checked it. I've got everything packed dont worry."
Her mother sighed. "okay. see you later."
"bye"
Elara couldn't help but roll her eyes everytime. but still she compulsively checked the front and back door locks and the flashing screen of the home security system. Online. She knew it would be. But from a young age her mum instilled this pattern. "you must be safe Elara." she'd said. "always be safe" The overprotective persistence of her mother used to annoy her as a child. But now Elara found comfort in the metaphorical safety net her mother cast for her. It let her know that she was loved.
Making her way back to the kitchen she pushed the days worries from her mind. It looked like another evening of peaceful me time she thought. and she was going to see George soon. She smiled to herself. She had missed that cheeky grin.
