The way Prowl's anger and suspicions regarding Megatron was read by the Maltos and certain audience members are a prime reason I have beef with official "Megatron is a good guy now" stories.

Anyone who is still rightfully angry at Megatron is treated like they're wrong.

Yes, on Earth, Megatron has been working with the Autobots and Dot for 15 years.

However, Megatron was the leader of the Decepticons for many, many, many years.

Prowl's feelings towards Megatron were completely justified. When seeing Megatron on Earth again, the last time they saw each other, they were on opposite sides of the war. That perspective is not going to go away in 5 minutes for someone like Prowl. It's not going to go away in a week. That's (possibly) millions of years of history. Unlike the Maltos, Prowl hasn't had any good history with Megatron. He is going to be angry and suspicious of Megatron and he, historically, has been right to. Just because the Maltos are the only humans Megatron is actually chummy with has no impact on Prowl because Prowl did not know the Maltos. He has no reason to care about the Maltos more than any other organic is because he just met them. He just barely met humanity at all! He has had no time to adjust before the kids are glaring and saying "I liked him better in the comics".

An aside, folks calling Prowl "salty" for Optimus sharing his friendship with Megatron really skipped over Megatron pouting and saying "but I'm your friend" after Optimus introduced Prowl to the group. Not to mention Optimus and Megatron arguing while Optimus and Prowl just slipped into their old relationship.
