I posted this a few other places, but was curious about your thoughts on it: The Scene starts with Rose inspecting a present someone left on her desk, wondering what's inside... only for it to blast open and smash a pie into her face, the sound of cruel laughter coming from behind her. She turns her head to see Marinette and Chloe, both decked out in gold, and asks why Marinette became so mean. Marinette's answer? "Because someone needs to keep little losers like you in their place!" Before moving in to kiss her girlfriend... and then Marinette wakes up screaming, wondering why she dreamed of dating Chloe of all people... and why the thought of being so cruel felt so right.

Meanwhile, across town, Chloe is experiencing a dream of her own. One in which she's no longer rich, and isn't particularly famous. One where she spends most of her days either keeping the house in good condition or helping her in-laws run the bakery. A simple life with a loving family, when her wife, Marinette walks through the door... carrying their daughter in her arms. She moves in to pull her wife into a kiss... and wakes up, blushing bright enough to be seen from space, and instantly going into denial that she would EVER want to be with Dupain-Cheng OR give up her wealth and influence... no matter how at home she felt in that little shop in her dreams.

To make a long story short, my thought is that both Marinette and Chloe are crushing hard on each other, in denial, and would gladly throw away their current lives if it meant being with the other. What do you think?

I think that's what makes Chloenette my favorite ship in the series. They won't throw away all the life they built away (technically) but they would want to do everything that hey can to build a future for them.

Marinette growing a more firm and decisive backbone due to Chloé's influence is pretty much accepted within the chloenette fandom and I personally think it's great. Despite her growth (canonically...there still is) I don't see why she can't be a bit more aggressive in situations. Plus it's funny when Mari's being mean but also feeling kinda bad but satisfied later and Chloé's just proud and smug. 'That's my girl.'

I don't know if y'all have read the fics, but Tacomuerte's stories 'Best Frenemies' and 'Divided Loyalties' are one of the best portrayal of Chloé slowly settling down with Mari's lifestyle and Mari with Chloé's. Chloé is artistic (a bit perfectionist in a way as well) and I can definitely see her fussing and making sure all of the pastries are decorated to the tiniest of details and that every box doesn't have a single speck of dirt or crumpled. Baking also requires physical exertion especially in large orders so that's one way for her to let out some steam without causing an akuma xD.

They grew up with different backgrounds but I can see them having multiple common grounds aside from Fashion. One of them is their devotion and loyalty to people they like (in Chloé's case, people she genuinely respects and looks up to) which can get pretty aggressive and sometimes obsessive (obsessive chloenette is a fave).

Basically, yeah, I can see them doing a lot of unexpected things just to be together and to build a future they both want and need.

hiii I was given an excuse to talk my head off so I will! any excuse not to think about current events tbh!

my crownie's name is Asphodel, but I just call them Azzie. idk if their name fits with the other siblings well like, Salvatorem, Percival, Asphodel, Orla? I'm iffy, but i feel like im too far in now. a big like, design note for me about them is their hair is naturally like dark brown but they fucking bleached it to shit so it's totally fried. it was a major impulse choice, it's gotten to the point where the roots are pretty visible but they are not gonna fix it. in my brain the way the roots split up are the actual flower. I wanna draw them later so it's more clear... not realistic at all but my artist design brain takes forefront. I imagine they have really droopy eyes. in my head they're very wet cat.

my favorite characters are Sally and Percy!! I love sibling dynamics in IFs and I love that we actually get to spend time with them in game. I made lime a bunch of design notes about them to match Azzy at some point but I definitely lost them. one thing I do remember is noting I think Percy would have like 3B textured hair if you know what I mean? and Sally is thicker at like 3c - 4a but would either keep his hair really short or in locs for tidines sake so it's. irrelevant. i just like to think hes stressed out so hed like a hair style that doesn't require as constant Maintenance to look good. this is the situation that they are black men cause my crownie is black so (vague hand wave). I imagined Orla also has like 3b hair.

I ended up romancing Lorcan because. man do I love sibling dynamics! I love the idea of Azzy seeing in Lorcan something they couldn't have, a remnant of their sister, someone they miss but also resent to some extent. of course not consciously, I always imagine they like can acknowledge they feel something towards Lorcan, but not fully what and that freaks them out so they just choose not to think about it? especially since I play them being very nice to him and I like to think they don't even fully know why they're being like that. they're naturally conflict avoidant, you get into so much trouble for things you can't control, you sort of want to avoid it whenever you can now, but this is weird. and they're already weird if they think something Is weird? what the FUCK is going on? can't tell anyone either, want to more reasons for people to think you're a freak? choosing not to think about it. 3000 other things to think about that are not this.

What’s interesting about that name that refers usually to lilies is that it is also associated with Hades (the place) and even if it’s more ritzy than the other kid’s names as a classics major who thinks about the Roman Empire and Ancient Greece 24/7 I do like anything that reminds me of antiquity ☺️

As you said 3B I knew your characters were likely black and that’s cause for Nia I thought about her her hair type far too long than was necessary I literally agonized for some reason 😭😭😭 and honestly if one day you find them or make other art for the family I would love to see it

okay and here’s my essay on Ekko as James (though you’re SO right jayce is so james-coded). So ofc, that scene was a big factor when i was thinking about cos can you imagine??? just a lil canon divergence to have james and sirius have their iconic friendship, but after it all goes to hell in episode 1, they're split up??? and then the reunion they would have later in that scene??? DX Iconic. I would LIVE for it. And then also I think it would be really interesting to work with James and Regulus' dynamic as Ekko and Jinx equivalents?? Cos honestly, ideally I'd have James be Caitlin cos of the way Jinx got so jealous of her the same way reg did of james when he adn sirius became friends? But wolfstar is more important i'm sorry XD Unfortunately, I may have to forsake platonic moonwater in this au which is DEVASTATING cos I live for platonic moonwater QwQ Anyway and then i just think James fits a bit better into the scenes with Ekko than he does into Jayce's (even though it WOULD be a very neat take on james as a character to put him as jayce)

ADDITIONALLY to what you added, I also had the idea last night, if James is Ekko, to have the Firelights be called the Marauders? Kinda as homage to the marauders themselves?? Which is also why I'd love to have james and peter have more interaction even if he's in marcus' role, cos then once James takes Sirius and Remus to their hideout, all the four og marauders would be together and idk i just like it :)

i’m conflicted about izumi bc on the one hand i like fleshed out female leads but on the other hand because i’m so different from her i find it hard to relate to the game sometimes

the anime is still not perfect but I like it for what it is
