Nonny from earlier, my predictions on who gets their reality checked.

Jo is going to be the fuse that's sets it off. When it falls, she'll survive. She always does.

Gio's fabric is already unraveling, and the guy is hanging on for dear life as Jo snips away at the strings. Reality smacking him will probably just be more internalized guilt.

Antoine knows Jo better than anyone. He sees the bus coming. Reality isn't going to smack him, he'll jump in it's path.

Dear Zelda, as much as she's a dreamer, is also observant and has become less naive. With Antoine on the road, her radar will be on high alert. When it hits, she'll double down "Keep Calm and Carry On"

Violet, she's the one I see catching the shovel to the head. The stability her people have fought so hard to provide blips out of existence. The wheels are falling off the bus, the brakes are back in Nutbush, and she has no idea where it's going. She hasn't built community here she is going to find herself very alone. Just her and her ballerina.

Now, revolving around the question, “which character is gunna get a rude awakening” I think this can go so many ways, because it depends what that rude awakening is for each of them. And we can see the potential for every single character to have one already, can’t we? Now may I be so kind as to play devil’s advocate and pose some questions to you? 🙂‍↕️

If Jo always survives…then what’s the point when she would get a rude awakening? When she just has to change how she lives or how she views the world for better or for worse?

OKAY so Antoine may know Jo better than anyone…but does he see her? Or is he fooled by her? And if he sees the bus coming, who’s he willing to lay in front of it for? Is it Jo?

Zelda, Zelda. We do love a “keep calm and carry on for her,” don’t we? My goodness does it fit, even if she wasn’t our local Brit. But when does Zelda lose her calm? When is reality gunna smack her in the face and make her wake up?

And oh, little Miss Heiress. It has been quite some time since we’ve seen her, hasn’t it? Alone in her room with her spinning ballerina, waiting for her father or someone to simply give her more attention than she will ever be satisfied with. She does at least have Will, but in some ways her connection to him runs through her father as well. So her reality check isn’t in the distance, it is here, more than anyone else’s. Because the stability and the nuance doesn’t matter so much to her, does it? Not with Poppa and Aunt Jo leaving her after they promised they never would…
