I want to hear your thoughts on brandon dropping the philosophical questions he brings up, mossman!
Right so he does this all the time and it's really frustrating. One of the biggest is obviously the Kaladin/racism stuff the post was talking about, and there's also the idea of Odium and even a lot of the fused playing on the singer's enslavement while clearly not actually having their interests at heart.
Mistborn is also full of stuff like this. Stuff like Kelsier killing the nobility is discussed pretty frequently, although in my opinion in the books this is pretty easily dismissed as something bad but strategically useful.
Also, just like with the racism in Stormlight, it's the same with classism in Mistborn. Like Elend specifically says that Vin being able to impersonate a noble means they're not that different, but then it's outright canonized that Rashek did indeed change them? Are they equal or are they not? Did Harmony change people to be equal again? Is that why the poor aren't called skaa in era 2? In that vein, why don't they call themselves that? There's a whole ass labor movement building in Shadows of Self and yet nobody is drawing that parallel to their incredibly well documented history? WHY ARE THERE SURVIVORIST NOBLES
