You were like a breath of fresh air and something like an alluring enigma amongst the common folk the moment you stepped through those doors. Your hair is swept up into a loose bun with stray locks falling around your face, framing it in the most beautiful way possible. The white cotton shirt you’re wearing is sheer and I can almost see the outline of your bra if only you weren’t wearing a cardigan over it but it’s ok. It looks flattering on you and does nothing to detract you from your beauty.

There is a hint of a smile on your lips, the sunshine illuminating the side of your face and bringing out the liveliness in your eyes that I rarely see among people these days. As you mutter your apologies and slide past an old man who has been staring at the same hammer for the last ten minutes, you exude grace even just by the way you walk and hold yourself.

“Hi, do you work here?”

It takes me a moment to register the fact that you are actually in front of me, looking me in the eye and talking to me. Your voice is as angelic and beautiful as you are, almost like music to my ears. I can already imagine how it would sound when I take you to bed and thinking about it makes me all tingly in the inside. I tap on the brass name tag pinned to my shirt and gesture towards the tool belt I have hanging loosely on my waist. Realisation dawns upon you, followed closely by mortification.

You smack yourself on your forehead, an embarrassed giggle escaping from those cute lips that I want on mine.

“I’m so sorry, that was so stupid of me…” You say and you squint to look at the tiny black letters on the name tag. “Jaehyun.”

“It’s completely alright. We all have moments like that,” I laugh and a smile tugs on your lips.

“It happens so much more often for me though.” You sigh and I wonder if anyone has ever made you feel like you’re any less intelligent than the average person. The thought of that makes me annoyed but I don’t dwell on it.

“Anyways, I was wondering if you guys sell ropes and duct tape here?”

Ropes and duct tape? My, my. What could you possibly need them for?

The question is itching at the back of my mind but I push it away as I flash you a bright grin.

“We do. Right this way.” I turn and you follow behind me.

Manoeuvring between shelves and people, we finally reach the rope section and it takes you a moment to get past a burly man blocking the aisle. He checks you out with those leery eyes of his as you walked towards me and internally I feel irritation creeping in. Creeps like that don’t deserve to look at you that way. You should be respected and men like that don’t respect women like you. I try not to think of how many times this must have happened to you without your notice as I gesture towards the spools of rope of all thickness and colours.

“We’ve got a wide selection here and you’re free to choose whichever you want and however long you want it.”

“Wow, you guys have every kind of rope here.” You said, amazement written all over your face as you grazed your fingers over the spools.

“Yeah, kind of essential since we are a hardware store after all.” I reply. How would those fingers feel on me?

You laugh and there it is again, that smile of an angel. You are so unlike other girls as cliche as that sounds and I can’t help but want to know more about you. Just who are you?

“You’re right. I ask some of the weirdest and most obvious questions ever sometimes, don’t mind me.”

I’d never mind if it’s you.

“I won’t, don’t worry.” I smile as I stuff my hands into my pocket and watch you take your pick of which rope to purchase. As you walked up and down the aisle, I can’t help but notice how snug those jeans looked on you. They look gorgeous on you, bringing out the shapeliness of your legs. When you turn your back to me, I try not to let my eyes drift down to your bottom.

“I’ll have about ten metres of this one!” You declare with a satisfied smile after a moment of deliberation, patting a spool of thin, straw rope.

“Alright,” I pull out a pair of scissors and measuring tape from my tool belt and get to cutting the rope.

“If you’re wondering why I’m buying rope and duct tape, I can assure you I’m not a kidnapper. I just realised how my shopping list could give you the wrong idea.” You say suddenly with a nervous chuckle and I raise my eyebrow at you.

You see the curious look on my face and continue, “Neither am I engaging in…BDSM… This isn’t a fifty shades of grey thing.” The flustered expression on your face is so cute, my heart could burst. What a cute and pretty face with such mature thoughts. Nobody said anything about fifty shades but here you are, assuming that was what I thought of. I wonder, just how dirty your brain actually is and realise with a start that you probably want me to know that you harbour such naughty thoughts so that’s why you said what you said.

I couldn’t hold back the chuckle at the back of my throat as I ask, “Then what is it?”

“I’m actually an architecture student at the local college nearby.” You say and I detect a hint of pride in your voice. You want to impress me - I can tell with that overly bright smile of yours when you said that.

“That’s amazing. Architecture must be pretty hardcore to study,” I say as I loop the cut rope over my elbow.

“It is,” you roll your eyes and groan. “I’m only a freshman and I haven’t even been here half a semester and I’m already dying.”

I laugh softly at your words and you smile. You like the attention I’m giving you.

“Well, it’s only going to get worse so I suggest taking it easy…” I trail off.

“Y/n.” You beam at me and I find myself replaying the sound of your name over and over in my head.

Y/n. Y/n. Y/n. What a charming name.

I grab some duct tape for you off the shelves and we head to the cash register which was as usual unattended to. Normally, I would have given Haechan a piece of my mind for his negligence again but this time, I couldn’t be more grateful.

“Is that all you’re purchasing for today, y/n?” I ask as I scan your items. I love the way your name rolls off my tongue, I could say it a thousand times and never get sick of it.

“Yup! Can’t really afford anything else at the moment either but I’ll probably be back when I need more supplies.” You sigh before adding, “College kid things.”

I’ve never been to college but I nod in an understanding way anyways and you grin.

“It’s just so tough these days, you know? Student loans and all plus the costs of living in the city? Insane.”

“Insane, indeed.” I repeat after you and as you hand me your credit card, our fingers touch briefly. Did you do that on purpose?

I take a good look at your credit card as you were staring out at the streets, seemingly preoccupied with a child who was chasing a flock of pigeons.

Y/n l/n.

Hm, you could have given me cash but you gave me your credit card instead. You want me to know your name, not just your first name but also your last. I see what you’re doing.

I smile to myself as I proceed with the transaction. Bagging up your purchase, I pass them over to you and you say thank you. As you head out onto the street, you turn back and give me another of your dazzling smiles and I feel my heart stutter. How do you already have this effect on me?

I watch you glide down the streets outside with your hair flowing in the wind and the sunlight bringing out the brightness and liveliness in your eyes. The group of girls walking by can’t even hold a candle to you and as you walk past them, they regard you with envious looks which I can’t blame them for. You look simply beautiful.

Once you are out of sight, I whip out my phone.

Y/n l/n. Architecture student.

First, I open up instagram. A quick search of your name doesn’t yield any results. Huh, figures. I try searching up your college instead and this time, I’m slightly more successful.

I find the architecture faculty’s instagram page instead.

A simple scroll down the page shows me a freshmen group photo and I easily locate you within a heartbeat. How could I not?

In the list of tagged usernames, I find yours and…

I’m at your instagram profile and I’m shocked to find it on public mode. You’re not very cautious online and I’m not sure if your parents ever taught you about staying safe on the internet but even if they did, you clearly didn’t take them very seriously. I understand why you left it on public though. You want to be seen and to be heard. Well, here I am.

Barely a minute into looking through your instagram, I already have to control myself. The pictures you take are extremely flattering and you look exceptional in every single of one of them even though some of your post captions say otherwise.

I see a picture of a room’s interior from the corner of my eye and I click on it.

It’s a picture of you and another girl which I presume must be your roommate in a small room that looked more like a broom closet than an actual room. The captions say ‘Move-in day! Super excited and unfortunate to be in the same dorm as Haseul ugh ( jk love you )’

I smile despite myself. How cute.

You have a goofy smile on your face, your friend has her arms around your waist and the two of you look so happy. Yet, I find myself looking at something else instead.

last song: I’m predictable as all out so it was Joanna Newsom, “Sapokanikan” which I always want to rec to Breaking Bad fans due to the Ozymandius references (I mean I guess this means I want to rec it to Shelley fans as well...? Lmao)

last movie: Wong Kar Wai’s “Fallen Angels”, I’m working my way through the Criterion Collection box set of his films and this one was my least favorite so far lol whoops but his gay-themed film is next so I have that to look forward to while I chill out after getting my first vaccine tomorrow (!!!!!!)

currently watching: Almost done with the penultimate season of Ripper Street and am an emotional goo pile over the main characters, I’m gonna have separation anxiety from them when the show is over. On season 4 of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and am eager to reach the what I know is iconic finale even while I’m trying to savor going at a steady pace. I stg I am always hearing Charlie yelling in the back of my head, boy is louuuuud and I live for it. And I’m watching Succession for the third time both to enjoy it and to try to get ideas for new meta pieces. I want to make a portfolio lol

currently reading: “Shirley” by Charlotte Bronte, I’m back on a Bronte kick and this one is slow going but I still savor every sentence. I would love to get a Bronte tattoo, all four of their signatures would be so cool.

currently craving: to hang out with a friend lol I have seen no friends since February of last year and my soul feels pretty downtrodden :( I also want to write a new fic but I have only a vague-ish premise that’s not enough to expand on yet and I pine because writing is so enjoyably life-affirming. It will happen...

(but thinking about it all the other mute!reader fics are good but they wont nsfw so it didnt interest me-) furthermore, its so good. so pure. so hot. 11/10 would recommend.

my thoughts: i ride this books ASS for updates. my favourite bakugo au’s are fantasy (wit da dragoons) and were!katsuki (haluween). i fucking love it, i love their works. theyre busy with school (like i should be but scholars are all different-) trust me its so good. it has that good spice that make fill my heart with sexy uwuwuwuwuwuwuwus. love it.

So royalty au w jeno omg. okie dokey, so you are both royals kinda. it’s a little bit enemies to lovers au whereas the second oldest (brother being first) you aren’t allowed to reign so bc of tradition (bad tradition) you have to marry into royalty of sorts. introducing lee jeno son of the lee’s who though not the strongest country are known for their activities and just tourism because their country is beautiful. you are shipped off to nct country to spend some time with your future husband. Now you don’t really hate jeno but you hate the idea of being shipped off to marry hence those feelings causing hate and aggressions towards jeno who is just like trynna be a nice and understanding bean (like he doesn’t want this either, and he’d just broken up with his s/o ). Fast forward three months and you slowly come accustomed to the place, learning about its government, and jeno begins to also warm up to you. Though you still don’t talk too much it gets better and you bond over the internal struggles that both of you have and slowly start to develop feelings for each other. but you still wanna have a say so your families agree that you won’t just be married but that you’d have power in both kingdoms kinda like an ambassador and im gonna stop here bc this is very long im soRRY.

For some reason (idk why just go along with it) there have been people dying in the spaceship. So the space ship crew the adults decided to make an investigation but don’t include anyone that aren’t “adults” but chenle isn’t having it as one of the people who died was his cousin. Now you two have best friends for a really long time so naturally you support him. So you two along with bb jisung who dragged along much to his protest of this being too scary for him and because he knew that chenle was in love with you so no way was chenle letting him out of his sight. You guys have an assignment for your choreo class and are assigned partners that specialize in a diff style than you do. Jeno gets high key nervous and stressed af bc a. He’s an introvert and is awkward around new people and b. Kinda has a small crush on you, well on your style of dancing :) so you two are paired up, lets say your majoring in contemporary/modern dance and he’s specializing in acro and hip-hop. overall it’s just a cute lil thing and because the project is a whole trimester long ( so like 3 months ) you guys get pretty close and right as you end your performance on the day you do it on front on the whole school the ending is like a twirl type thing, and umm he leans in or you lean it and boom.

Chapter one

Pairing: Jungkook x reader, eventual Ot7 x reader in later chapters

Genre: Angst, fluff, uhh maybe smut eventually??

Theme: Based kinda on sword art online a lot of similar ideas and themes kinda combining the idea of them trapped in the game, but the world is closer to ALFheim online

Word count: 2.1k+

Warnings: Swearing?..I swear a lot it can’t be contained. Giant Bees?? Not too much to warn about for this chapter but future chapters might get crazy

A bright light shone in from a missing blind. One of your bothersome, but too cute to be mad at cats must’ve broken it, you made a mental note to fix that later. It woke you up earlier than usual for a Friday, probably not a bad thing, you had a big day ahead of you. Working from home had its advantages such as being able to create your own schedule.

You had set the day aside to mentally prepare for and then try out your dreaded birthday gift you had received just the day before.

The clock read 8:00 am. You sighed as you pulled yourself out of bed, startling the young calico cat who had been sleeping on your stomach throughout the night. “Sorry velvet” you mumble sleepily. Though she should be used to the rude awakenings by now, given that you on the other hand had not gotten used to having a cuddly cat and always seemed to accidentally throw her off your lap in the mornings. Your other cat Tiger always kept to herself and usually slept on the top of her cat tree or on a top shelf in one of your closets.

Last year when you bought your new apartment you had marveled at the spaciousness of the classy two bedroom layout. You debated on turning that second bedroom into a room for Tiger to have all to herself, but decided that would only feed into your family’s idea you were becoming a crazy cat lady hermit. Instead it became your office, and today it was the room you decided you would try out the full dive gaming experience headset in. You had a comfortable black leather office chair that you usually spent most of your days in while you worked on your designs. You figured that would be fine to recline in while you went into the game.

After getting yourself a filling breakfast you fed Velvet and Tiger a little extra, not knowing how long you’d be in the game. Part of you hoped that your mom would be satisfied if you just tried it for 30 minutes or so, then you could get back to the practical reality you preferred to live in. But you still wanted to be prepared in case the impossible happened and you actually enjoyed yourself.

You picked up the sleek looking packaging that held the headset and the game you had been given. You let out a sigh and looked over to your pets, “lets give this a shot huh?�� you said, looking at them as if they could understand you.

When you arrived to your office you plopped down into your comfy chair and finally opened the packaging. The headset was shiny and heavy, looking similar to a motorcycle helmet. In the back by the base of the neck there was a long wire the same shade of silver as the rest of the headset. You pulled out the instructions from the box and skimmed it over.

“Internal battery, internal memory to store data, in game items, and achievements”

“Pre-programmed with Faerie Realm installed, no updates or installation required”

“To enter the game is simple, put on the headset and click the large button on the side of the headset and say the command ‘LINK START’”

You felt skeptical of this whole thing, but you reasoned that they wouldn’t sell it to the public if it was unsafe.

With one last see ya later to Tiger and Velvet you plugged in the headset and carefully placed it over your head. It was a snug fit and there were straps to secure it underneath your chin.

A small wave of nervousness ran over you, you took a few deep breaths and put your pointer finger to the side of the headset and held the button. Loud and enunciated so as not to mess this up somehow, you said the command…

“LINK START”

Almost instantly, like falling asleep suddenly, everything went dark. It only lasted a few seconds until you were standing in a bright, white, empty room with no doors or windows. You looked to your left and right in a slight panic, you felt like you could hear some music start to play.

Then, catching you off guard a giant holographic screen projected onto the wall in front of you.

“Welcome new player!” A chipper voice rang out from the direction of the screen “It’s time to chose your fairy race, and dive into the world of Faerie Realm! Point your hand straight out fingers spread out to the screen and swipe to the right to scroll through the choices, make a fist for 10 seconds at the screen on the page of the Fairy race you choose and you will move on to the next step!”

On the screen an example character popped and you giggled at it. It was an image of you, but not totally you. Your hair was longer than in real life and it was dyed a turquoise shade of blue, you were wearing a tight royal blue and white dress that was much shorter than anything you’d ever worn before.

You had to admit from a designers point of view, that it was pretty interesting how they’d managed to do that. The thing that really caught your eye was that coming from behind your back was a pair of beautiful shimmering turquoise wings matching the hair, they were slightly transparent and had a light blue glow coming off of them. The title under this character “Water Fairy”

You scrolled over the other choices shortly, five options of fairy races each with different styles, perks and nerdy sounding stats you didn’t even bother to read. You were mostly focused on the look, and none stood out as much as the first you had seen and you settle on the Water Fairy, holding out a fist to the screen as it instructed.

The next step you were prompted to complete was to choose a username. You decide on “Velvet Tiger” in honor of your bestfriends at home. Once you held out your fist again to declare that you were sure of your name, the room turned dark again. Next you felt like you were falling, falling falling, and the perky voice echoed around you “Have fun in Faerie Realm!!”

With a loud thud you felt yourself hit grass, strangely you felt no sort of pain from your fall, odd.

You picked yourself up from the ground and brushed the dirt off of what you now realized was the same blue dress from the screen. You pull your now extremely long hair in front of your face to see it was indeed also the hair you had seen on yourself in the preview. “Color me impressed” You chuckled aloud.

You started to look around to get a bearing on your surroundings. “Umm...what exactly am I supposed to do?” You spoke aloud again, not sure if you were hoping someone would answer or that some sort of screen would pop up at your question. But nothing happened.

You were alone in the middle of the most perfect flowering field you’d ever seen in your life, it was beautiful, cream colored daisies scattered all around you. It was sunny and bright and the temperature was perfect. You could feel a light breeze press on your cheek, you brought your hand up to your face. “Woah…” you muttered. It was crazy to think none of this was real.

A noise suddenly snapped you out of your state of awe. You cocked your head to the side slightly. It was a humming noise getting louder and louder by the second.

To your surprise and horror the objects in question made themselves visible. “What the fuck!!!” You scream, and immediately start to book it in the opposite direction.

BEES? But not just regular bees, a swarm of GIANT bees about the size of your cats were headed straight towards you. You found yourself screaming out a series of fucks and holy shits as you tried to outrun the swarm, they were catching up faster than you could run. ‘Thanks mom, this is real fun’, you thought.

You were about to get to a treeline that was up ahead when you tripped and fell flat on your face, you winced, not because it hurt, (you realized this game must not let you feel pain, which is nice), but because you were just embracing the fact that giant bees were about to be your ‘game over’ only 5 minutes into the game.

A loud POW sounded out right behind you and you covered your ears and buried your head into the ground. A crackling noise like fireworks followed. And then...a beautiful sound.

“You okay miss?” A silvery voice spoke from above you.

You uncovered your ears and lifted your head up from your embarrassing position you had assumed when you thought your demise in this game was upon you.

What you saw when your eyes met the figure standing over you took your breath away. You had to try and keep a straight face and contain your awe so as not to further embarrass yourself.

The man standing over you looked like an angel covered in black. He had on a tight fitting black shirt with a gray jacket that was styled fitting to the theme of this game draped over top, and tight black skinny jeans to go with. From behind his back you could see a pair of shimmering translucent wings similar in design to yours but the color was a charcoal black.

He extended a strong looking hand towards you, but you were still frozen in a combination of awe and embarrassment. He retracted his hand, chuckled, and ran his fingers through his pitch black hair. You scurried to get up on your own snapping out of your daze and standing eye to eye with the man you asume must’ve just saved your ass from the killer bees.

“Um, thank you” You nervously mumbled his way. His eyes were kind as he met your gaze with a smile. You had to force yourself to keep your eyes on his as they seemed compelled to trail over all of his body. “You’re welcome” His smile grew bigger than it previously was. “You’re lucky I got here when I did! They were gearing up for some power stings that definitely would’ve sent you to a black screen at your level”

“At….my level?” You said with confusion. “Yeah, I can see your level right there” he pointed just to the left of your face. You for the first time notice a small screen was there that had your username, level, health and an option for ‘menu’ listed. “Oh..” you managed an awkward smile. You realized you could see his too, ‘Kookie, level 10, full health’ listed on the screen hovering next to him.

“I’ve been here since 12am when it opened” he said sheepishly running his hand through his hair again. “Games are kinda my thing and when I heard this was coming out I wanted to get ahead right away...did you just get here or something?” He questioned.

“Yeah, literally just a few minutes ago” you laughed “That was about to be a real short run” you winced at the not too distant memory. “I...uh..games aren’t really my thing”

He smirked at your comment “You don’t say?” he teased. You stuck your tongue out at him, then immediately felt embarrassed. Not totally sure what came over you to do that to a total stranger, but hey, it is just a game and he started it right? So you shook off the awkward feeling and decided to just go with it. He laughed a full belly laugh at your action and shook his head “Ok, I like your style ma’m, so I’m gonna take pity on your and show you the ropes here” He spoke cockily.

“Oh? And what makes you think I need your help?” You tried to come back with, only eliciting further laughter from him. “You’re right,” he put his hands up in fake defeat “those bees were completely defenseless to your ‘duck and cover in the middle of a field’ fighting methods”

You pouted slightly at the mention of that embarrassing part of the incident that had just occurred you are hoping to just pretend didn’t happen.

“Fiiine” you sighed “I really don’t know what I’m doing here, but don't take me for some damsel in distress that's going to worship you as her hero now or anything like that” His eyebrows raised high taken aback by your bluntness. “Of course. I have no doubt you take care of yourself well in the real world, on first impressions you seem to be a strong, independent woman…I admire that in a lady” he assured in an honest and serious tone, but then He stopped and took a few steps closer to you standing so close it sent a shiver up your spine.

He leaned in to your ear, tone changing from his previous statement into a more smooth and sultry whisper “But this isn’t the real world...you’ve stepped into my world now.” He pulled away, a smirk on his face.

Your eyes widened. What have you gotten yourself into…

Good Omens Chibi Headcanons Part 3

Chibi Aziraphale and Chibi Crowley:

• They mainly speak gibberish but they can sometimes say and use english words. Both their gibberish and english sound very cute!

• Tiny ineffable husbands/friends!

• Is it dumb luck? Yin and yang? Or the Almighty simply working in mysterious ways? Whatever it was, when Chibi Aziraphale and Chibi Crowley work together, there's nothing they can't do! Size isn't even an issue!

• They have their own best friend handshake! (It's really cute and it ends with them making a hand heart with each other's hand.)

• Chibi Aziraphale thinks that Chibi Crowley is sooo cool! He also finds him to be really fun as well! The demon has taught him so many fun, new exciting human games such as "tag", "hide and seek" and one game that Chibi Crowley likes to call "playing tricks on the mortals". With that game, the angel didn't mind playing along, s-so as long as the pranks they pulled were harmless and no humans got hurt or injured by them. (Oh, and when playing tag or hide and seek, Chibi Aziraphale had to be really careful cause sometimes Chibi Crowley would get really excited when playing and would end up using his powers which caused a bit of havoc. The demon was oblivious to the destruction he was causing.) Chibi Aziraphale really appreciates Chibi Crowley's kindness! Sure, the demon tried coming off as if he's not, but Chibi Crowley was always doing nice things for his angel friend.

• Chibi Crowley likes Chibi Aziraphale's good natured personality since having it made it easier for him to tease and tempt his friend. While he enjoyed teasing and tempting the angel, the demon would never take it too far and often did it in a playful way. Chibi Crowley is also really glad that Chibi Aziraphale has a sweet tooth because now he's got someone to share his gummy snakes with! He knows that the angel was book smart due to him spending most of his time in the bookshop with Aziraphale, but he also knew that the celestial being was innocently unaware of certain earthly things. The demon remembers once having to explain to Chibi Aziraphale what a toaster was.

• Chibi Aziraphale and Chibi Crowley put on a reenactment play about Aziraphale's and Crowley's friendship across the ages! They even wear costumes of the outfits that their big counterparts wore through those centuries. This was their first play so they had to make it something exciting, something classic, something that the audience would never forget! The performance was being held in the backroom of Aziraphale's bookshop. A toy theatre stage was set up on the table and Aziraphale, Crowley, and Chibi Aziraphale's Harry the Stuffed Rabbit plush were the audience. The lights in the room dim and the spotlights shine on the curtain. The curtain is then opened, and the show starts! When saying their lines, Chibi Aziraphale and Chibi Crowley used a mix of both gibberish and english. From the audience, Aziraphale acts like a supportive parent at their child's first ever school play cheering, applauding, and shrieking in utter excitement almost every time his chibi says or does something in a scene. This makes Chibi Aziraphale smile and wave at his big friend each time on stage. "He's so cute and talented, isn't he?" Aziraphale would whisper to Crowley, referring to Chibi Aziraphale. Did Crowley notice little errors, faults, and flaws in the play? Yes but...he just couldn't dislike it. He still appreciated the effort and dedication the two chibis put into it. I mean, the performances themselves weren't too bad, the sets, costumes, music and props seemed alright, and the two tiny entities did look like they were having alot of fun with the whole thing despite the very small audience. His favorite parts had to be seeing his chibi be over the top playing as him. It made him smile and he couldn't help but chuckle at the smaller demon's exaggerated acting. The play itself was just Chibi Aziraphale and Chibi Crowley trying their best to be accurate, but they end up making it their own cute, comedic remake due to most scenes being over the top and exaggerated, them adding in little random things that didn't exactly happen and them having characters who were also in certain eras ( like Adam and Eve, Jesus, Jean-Claude, Shakespeare, The Nazis, the group of thieves and criminals, etc.) as either small toys, small stuffed animals, small cardboard cutouts, chibi sized hand puppets or inanimate objects who they also sometimes had to play as/pretend to be. Some might say that it's impossible for a play to work with only two people in it, but somehow the chibis do, and it's very adorable.

• Imagine them doing a reenactment of the entire show.

• Chibi Aziraphale and Chibi Crowley had been to alot of fun places in London before, but their all time favorite place where they had the most fun had to be the fun fair. (The toy shop was their second favorite, the zoo was third and the sweet shop was fourth.) An over-excited Chibi Crowley appears in the book shop one day to show Chibi Aziraphale a really cool poster that he found that showed an advertisement for a fair that was in London and suggests that the two of them go! The demon's never been to an actual fair before, but he's seen tons of commercials for them on TV at the flat and they looked like alot of fun. The angel's never been to a fair before either, but the pictures on the poster did make the place seem like alot of fun. To him, the place looked like one big playground! He agrees to go, and when the two arrive there Chibi Aziraphale is immediately fascinated by everything! Seeing the extremely interested look on his friend's face makes Chibi Crowley smile as he takes the heavenly being's hand and leads him to the attractions. The two have a wonderful time riding the carousel horses/other small mechanical rides and bouncing up and down on the inflatable bouncy castle. After that, they go looking around for more fun things to do. Chibi Crowley spots a haunted house horror ride and gets an excited twinkle in his eye! The demon absolutely adores spooky things! Big spooky fan, him! (He gets it from Crowley.) Chibi Aziraphale on the other hand...not so much. Being that he's easily frightened by stuff, (especially scary stuff) the dark, creepy look of the attraction gave him goose bumps, and at first he wasn't willing to get on. Well, that is until Chibi Crowley somehow tempts him into going on the ride with him. Now riding the ride, Chibi Crowley was pumped, Chibi Aziraphale the exact opposite. On the angel's side, ghosts and ghouls pop up at him in a jumpscare fashion, making a loud, frightening sound, followed by zombies and spiders doing the same on Chibi Crowley's side, then a collection of monsters and other spooky things all around. Each display causes Chibi Aziraphale to squeal in fear while Chibi Crowley squealed in delight. The demon even made frightening noises back at the monsters. After the last display, Chibi Aziraphale is still a little scared, but he's very glad that the ride was finally over. In the house of mirrors, the two chibis were fascinated by the mirrors abilities to make their reflections appear big and tall! When they leave, Chibi Aziraphale and Chibi Crowley both see a photo booth. Excited, they rush inside the booth and take several photos. In the first photo, Chibi Aziraphale and Chibi Crowley smile, a halo filter above the short angel's head and a devil horns filter above the short demon's head with the captions reading "Best Buds!" Chibi Crowley was pulling a little red toy wagon that the giant angel teddy that he had won for Chibi Aziraphale was sitting in. As he looks up at the carnival lights, Chibi Aziraphale moves his hand towards Chibi Crowley's hand, gently takes it and begins holding it. The move catches little Crowley off guard, but he quickly smiles when he sees the angel is at ease. Feeling playful, the demon swings his held hand back and forth a bit. The two were heading towards the ferris wheel as their final ride. A fireworks show is in full swing! The sky was filled with them! Chibi Aziraphale, Chibi Crowley, and the teddy bear were sitting together in one of the ferris wheel cars watching the show. Chibi Aziraphale watches the show in complete amazement! This was his first time ever seeing fireworks before. When the angel asks Chibi Crowley what those beautiful bright coloured lights that kept making loud noises in the sky were, the demon says to him that they're called fireworks. He tells Chibi Aziraphale that big Crowley had once told him that fireworks were these giant explosions in the sky, and the reason they exploded was because they contained this stuff that the humans put inside it called gunpowder. Chibi Aziraphale sighs blissfully at the sky. He loves the earth so much, the planet was filled with so many amazing things! He hopes that one day he and Chibi Crowley will get to see all the wonderful things this world had.

When we were younger roleplayers

So a friend of mine recently uploaded an older comic she did detailing an experience from her youth involving her first time roleplaying. This story really speaks to me, so I’ll link it here for you to see.

You know, this makes me wanna tell some of my own roleplaying stories, because boy do I have a few. ^^’’’ My nutcracker friends Freckle and Pepper hear be joke about ‘The Night of Angst Mountain’ far too much, but that’s only been within the past year. The story I’d like to tell you today come from when I first came online, back when my only account was on YouTube and we roleplayed in the comments sections of our channels.

Let me tell you the story of dreamerofchaos1 and her first time working as one of the Freedom Fighters.

Let’s set the stage. I was 14 years old, the year was 2011, and I had finally been deemed old enough to get a YouTube account. I’d asked my folks if I could have it for my birthday that year, which is March 29th. On April 2nd, my dad made a YouTube account for himself and then helped me to make mine, just so he could keep an eye on me should I ever need his help, but for the most part he wasn’t watching what I was doing. I had made this account intending to post tribute videos, you know, those fan art slideshows set to a popular song, and that is what I started out doing, but during that summer, I ended up hanging out with a bunch of roleplayers, and sometimes it was hard to distinguish fiction from reality. I’m still not sure how that started or how I ended up meeting these people, but we were an interesting bunch. A lot of this is really fuzzy for me

To start, even though we called ourselves the Freedom Fighters, it wasn’t at all the Freedom Fighters from the Sonic SatAM or Archie comics. We had a Sally, Tails, and Sonic who were barely present, otherwise, it was a lot of fan characters (most of which were recolors of Sonic, Tails, and Amy), along with an emo version of Kirby, Stitch and Angel from the Lilo and Stitch TV series, and a few others that referenced other franchises. We had a lot of fun on fictitious scenarios together, having picnics, fighting the Suppression Squad, it was a good time.

I didn’t stand out a ton among the good guys, but I definitely had my stuff together a little better. I didn’t have a character when I started interacting with everyone, but I developed one around the theme of my username named Dreamer. They were a tanooki that was an imaginary friend abandoned by their creator, a little girl named Ruth, that needed belief from other people in order to exist. Note that I refer to them as a ‘they.’ At that point in time, nobody online knew what my gender was, they all just kind of assumed I was a guy, and I didn’t say anything about it. I specified that my character was genderless, since why would an imaginary friend need to have a gender? But because you basically WERE your character unless you were in YouTube’s Inbox system, everyone thought I was a dude. To be honest...at the point in time, all of my friends outside of the web were dudes with the occasional girl that was super tomboyish. I was the girly one, I could never be “one of the guys,” and more than anything, that’s what I wanted. I’ve grown out of that now as an adult, I’m much happier just being me and not worrying what other people think about my body parts. I never directly lied about my gender, it was more that nobody ever asked, but eventually I did come clean about it. Unfortunately, the minute people found out I was a girl, my PMs (private messages, which are the same as DMs, but there was some amount of respect in actually keeping it private back then) got flooded with boys that wanted cybersex out of me, which was disgusting and utterly embarrassing, but that’s a story for another day.

The Suppression Squad was the main group of enemies, hell, the character you saw causing trouble the most was Miles, aka the Anti-Tails from Moebius/Anti-Mobius. That’s where I found two of my closer friends, Venice and Violet. Venice was the Anti-Silver, a fanmade concept as Silver never officially had an Anti version in the comics, using the concept art of Silver from Sonic 06 back when he was Venice the Mink. Violet was a fan character who was his girlfriend. Venice played a lot of different characters though, including a villain named No-Heart that had some Kingdom Hearts inspired elements. Sadly Venice, or rather Wyatt, dropped off the face of the earth, I never saw him again after YouTube changed its channel layout and everyone gave up our games there, but I do hope he’s doing well wherever he is. Same with Violet, or rather Whitney, I saw her a few times on deviantART, but not much.

There are a few roleplays that stick out to me from that time. No Heart stealing Dreamer’s heart and having them fight for the villains temporarily is one of the finer memories, hell, when I had her betray everyone and join the bad guys for real later on was quite fun. Duking it out with an evil clown and Anti-Guy from Paper Mario was kind of cool too. But the one that really sticks out to me is the one with Albert Wesker. Now, Albert Wesker is a Resident Evil character to my understanding, but I have no idea what his story is, and I wasn’t smart enough to look it up as a kid when this was going down. This guy came out of hecking nowhere, I never did learn who played him in the end. I remember he was going after everyone with needles, and once pricked, they’d be under his control. Dreamer of course had ended up kidnapped and trapped in wherever his domain was. Being the rebellious and narrow-minded child that I was, I had Dreamer go off on a long speech about how Wesker would never win, and good would always prevail over evil, blah blah blah, it had to have sounded so stupid and naive to him.

And then he killed my character. That had never happened before. Another player ended up godmodding them back to life with a “revival seed,” but like? It was so garbage. I felt so bad about it after the fact, like yeah, we beat the bad guy, but I felt like a dirty cheater, and I was! But it dawned on me why it happened later on in time. There was no formal system to how any of this worked, just a set of unspoken boundaries that were never crossed, and therefore a lot of godmodding happened, where people would be defeated who shouldn’t have been, powers were unfair, etc. But the thing is, I was one of the few who ever bothered to get creative with my attacks and have some sort of strategy, which in turn meant that I was often the one doing most of the fighting. During the Wesker stuff, I was the only one online that actually had any of that going on, the rest were content to play damsels in distress, that’s why my character got revived. I think Wesker showed up one more time after that and there was a fair fight before they disappeared, but dang. It was an interesting experience. I think it was the fact that I was the only one doing anything in battle that I opted to join the bad guys for a while, not to mention the good guys weren’t all that great to me. There was a lot of hugging and saying “you’re one of my best friends” all the time, but no one meant it, it was just fluff.

I wasn’t there for fluff, I was there for action, to do something, to challenge myself. Yeah, I wanted to make friends, friends with respectable people who were interested in actual plotlines. But I didn’t find that there, I didn’t find that anywhere in an RP community up until recently. Things have changed with my style over the past eight years. I’m a lot slower to jump to combat nowadays, in fact fighting hardly ever comes up, which is nice, even though I do have times where I miss it. I think I’ve realized that I’m happier being in a smaller group, about three people, where we ask each other about the plot and figure out where its going with a mix of improv and planning. One day though, I’d love to run an RP blog where I invite a bunch of people to participate in the chaos, one where I get to run the story and challenge them to survive. That was the idea behind OATS, maybe one day I’ll be able to run it. For now though, I’ve got some bigger fish to fry than roleplays. ^^’’’ Still, it was fun to reminisce on this, I hadn’t thought about this for a while.

Reworking Aoi and Miyu in season 2

For a while now, I’ve seen some fans (understandably) frustrated with the direction season 2 has been taking the Water Origin plot thread. In light of the most recent episode, and naturally everything that accompanied it, I got to thinking about what could have gone differently.

So, how would I have done this arc?

To start with, I’m leaving everything leading up to S2 the same: no backstory changes, no changes to the previous season, no headcanons nor assumptions. Everything we’ve been given is the same: Aoi’s parents die, leaving only Akira to look out for her, they struggle to get by, she meets and befriends Miyu, takes the blame for the ring, never sees Miyu again, idolizes the Blue Angel character, etc. Likewise, S1 goes exactly the same, for the sake of this little “what if”.

Here’s how their roles in season 2 could have gone:

1. Miyu is introduced alongside Haru and Bohman

The first fundamental change is that Lightning steals Miyu’s consciousness before he takes Jin’s. She’s already been completely brainwashed when the season begins with Jin’s kidnapping, and instead of Bit and Boot stalling for Bohman and Haru, it’s the brainwashed Miyu who stands in Playmaker’s, and then Soulburner’s, way.

Blue Angel witnesses this confrontation and thinks, oddly, that this mysterious girl dueling SB seems familiar. She can’t quite put her finger on why, until she’s struck by a long-forgotten memory of a much younger, but identical face.

Up until this point, Aoi doesn’t remember Miyu or think of her much at all. No memory hijinks, just the expected fading of one’s childhood memories. Somewhere in the back of her head, Aoi remembers she had a friend for a short while when she was a kid, but can’t really remember what that friend’s name was or what she looked like, just that they couldn’t be friends anymore. Over the years since her childhood, as Aoi grew more and more self-absorbed, more hungry for Akira’s approval and attention, more wrapped up in herself and eventually the Blue Angel persona, her memories of Miyu got left behind.

And now someone has the same face as that long-forgotten friend, triggering the resurgence of some faded memories, but it’s all wrong.

2. Miyu’s consciousness is mostly intact; she’s aware, but manipulated

Unlike Aoi, Miyu never forgets. Miyu was kidnapped from the playground she and Aoi met, where she spent a great deal of time hoping that Aoi would return and they could be friends again. Aoi never came, Miyu’s relationship with her mother deteriorated. Between Miyu’s stubborn determination to wait and her mother’s frustrated negligence, she gets snatched. During the Hanoi Project, she clings to any positive memories she can; her relationship with her parents too tumultuous to be much of a source of comfort, so instead she holds on to her memories of Aoi. Because of her extreme circumstances, her desperation for something to rely on, Miyu has a much better recollection of their childhood together than Aoi does.

But at the same time, Miyu starts to resent what happened. She’s trapped, isolated, and tortured, and she can’t help but wonder, if Aoi hadn’t told that lie back then, if they both simply had told the truth, would things have turned out differently?

If that lie hadn’t torn them apart, if Miyu hadn’t been left all alone at that playground, would she still have been taken?

And so Aqua is born, with the unique ability to see through lies like glass. And Miyu grows up, carrying those twisted feelings with her.

Then Lightning targets her, and uses those feelings to twist her mind. Miyu isn’t like Jin, who shut down in the wake of the Hanoi Project, but her mind was vulnerable in a different way. Lightning makes her hate her parents, for being unable to see the truth, for not protecting her. Makes her hate Aoi, for lying to protect her only to abandon her to a much worse fate. Makes her hate humanity as a whole.

3. Aoi joins the hunt for the Ignis to find Miyu

Lightning’s group escapes, including Miyu, and all that is clear to Aoi is that that girl she can’t stop thinking about, that person who she knows she knows, someone she knows she has to meet again, is related to the Ignis somehow. She can’t let it go, so she goes to find her brother and Ema, and discovers that they too are going after the Ignis.

I feel like this line of thinking gives Aoi a much more concrete reason to get involved in the hunt for the Ignis and to partner with Ema; a much more definite and personal investment in figuring out exactly what is going on, because there’s something she needs to know, not just because she wants to help Akira. It also gives her a better reason to challenge Soulburner to a duel, instead of just being frustrated by them rejecting her offer for help.

If she gets an Ignis, than maybe Miyu will come to her.

She still loses, but its a much more frustrating hit. Not just a blow against her ego, but an invested failure. Especially since Miyu and Soulburner, in this version, were evenly matched and now Aoi’s coming up short. She’s not strong enough.

4. Instead of switching personas, Aoi finally fights as herself

The war with the Ignis begins, and Aoi becomes aware of just how much danger Miyu is in. She meets Aqua under mostly the same circumstances, but it’s a much more uphill struggle against her fear for her friend, her own feelings of inadequacy. She’s hiding behind her avatar of Blue Angel more than ever before, clinging to the idea that maybe Blue Angel, the heroine, can save Miyu. So she hides that she’s obtained Aqua, begging Ema to help her keep it hidden from Akira and SOL, so they don’t realize that Aoi has obtained an Ignis.

Aoi hopes that as Blue Angel, this time she’ll be able to protect the people important to her. The time to go after Lightning comes, and finally she and Miyu meet face to face again, and the duel is going badly right up until Aoi realizes that it’s not Blue Angel that Miyu needs. Miyu doesn’t need some storybook hero, some larger-than-life angel, she needs Aoi. The real Aoi, not the masks she wears and the roles she puts on.

Mid-duel, Aoi casts it all aside. For Miyu’s sake, she gives up on hiding behind Blue Angel. She drops the flashy avatars and usernames and faces Miyu as just herself. She risks her identity, her real life, and her own fragile self-confidence for the sake of her friend, finally managing to make a truly selfless decision.

This is not only in line with Aoi’s arc in season 1, how she forced herself and everyone around her into roles to better suit the narrative she built up in her own head, but it also furthers the parallels between her and Go: right there and then in Vrains she duels with her own name and her own face, out in the open and not hiding behind anything or anyone.

And in turn, with her friend finally back and reaching out to her, Miyu is also forced to be honest with herself, realizing that all the resentment was just her way of hiding from her own guilt. Even though she’d become a little obsessed with the truth, she was still pushing the responsibility of her actions on others. Back then, she hadn’t had the courage to tell her mother the truth, and instead hid behind Aoi’s lies. And now she sees that Aoi has found the courage to be honest.

Obviously, it’s not perfect, but I do think this kind of plot line and direction would smooth out Aoi’s choppy character development and inconsistent motivations without simply erasing her prevalent character flaws and prominent personality traits. Not to mention the theme of honesty is ham-fisted enough for a kid’s card game show, but complicated enough for Vrains’ complex views on morality and mistakes. Can lies really protect anyone, or are they just a way to hide from reality? Did Aoi really make the right decision back then, sacrificing her friendship with Miyu just to save Miyu from a more short-lived stress? Did Aoi’s regret over that short-sighted selfless act lead to her future egotism and immature selfishness?

Plus, the idea of Aoi somehow dropping her masks feels like a more natural progression for her character than her rapidly cycling through avatars and usernames in a constant identity crisis. Instead of completely reinventing herself, she learns that it’s okay to just be Aoi, that she can change the parts of herself she doesn’t like without needing to hide who she really is. Meanwhile, Miyu gets to be an actual character, which I think is something we all desperately want.

Anyways, that’s my ramblings on the subject.

Tony Awards Thoughts

So it looks like, at least for now, the CBS website lets you watch it for free (at least in the US). Here are my thoughts using those time stamps (be warned I have a long running commentary)

0:23 Oh is this going to be a parody of her playing the piano on last year’s Tony’s

1:05 How has neither one of them won anything? I mean I get if they said neither one of them one a Tony cause I mean, they both did shows that one time…but anything?

1:18 Is there anything more Broadway than saying the same rehearsed thing at the same time and pretending it was just part of the banter? Oh theater tropes I love you

1:36 That’s always been something that bothered me, people assume that just because something didn’t win the Tony doesn’t mean its not a great show, and the show that wins might not even be the best one that season (you know who you are). I love the Tony’s but its an award show, people don’t stop watching tv shows and movies or listening to artists that didn’t win or weren’t nominated, it makes me sad that so many shows close post Tony’s just because they weren’t the big winner. Anyways…

I love me some deadpan humor and some snark but you rarely see one of these nights just wholly be genuine and not tongue and cheek and it was such a breath of fresh air. Even the hokey bits like the stupid magic jokes and banter or weaker songs like that Mean Girls number, because everything was in such a kindhearted atmosphere, didn’t feel as bad as they otherwise would have.

My one gripe is that the floor can be hard to make out, so it can be easy to accidentally run into the walls.

I haven't seen a finale that awesome since Octo Expansion. Just...INCREDIBLE.

Final thoughts: I don't know how NEO would rank among my favorite video games, but experiencing all of this mostly spoiler-free, seeing all the reveals and feelin all the emotions, just might mean this is my favorite gaming EXPERIENCE of all time. This game absolutely lived up to the hype and is the follow-up that TWEWY fans deserved while still being a fantastic standalone story with (usually) extremely fun gameplay.

I got the job! I love the idea of the job. I love that I have my own office, that I will be using my school counseling degree for career/college counseling. There is an open door for creativity in how I can use my degree. For example, once I master the job development/placement specialist role of the position I can definitely focus on the career/college development curriculum for the student’s so they are knowledgeable of what is available to them. This is a wonderful opportunity for me to grow as a professional as well as make an impact on students. But I am a little annoyed with how I am being neglected in terms of training. Its been a week and I have been taking the initiative to understand the role using my own resources. In the first 2 days, I was gathering my information through word of mouth. I was cleaning out the office that was given to me. I was given the opportunity to go to a motivational interviewing training on the second day on the job and I began to develop resumes for the students. Over the weekend, I was thinking about what my curriculum would be, I developed a little questionnaire that I started giving out to the students this week that asked them to put a check on the topics they found to be the most interesting to their lives. This week I continued to work on resumes, I’ve started to listen to some podcasts about the art of job developing/ job placement strategies, I continued to read the papers I found to be relative to the job that I found in my office. I am taking the initiative. I feel if I did not have this inner urge to learn I would have literally sat in my office waiting for someone to tell me what to do and have nothing done. I do not feel anyone has taken the role of talking to me about what is expected of me in the next few weeks. I have been given information about the grant, which I have been reading… but I finished reading an hour after it was given to me. So, what is next for me to learn to ensure I succeed in this work? Also, last weekend I made the decision I would begin meeting with students and have them take a personality test that I had to get from my own resources. I called Alisa and she told me about an assessment she uses that is fun for the kids and gives me a good sense of their personality and what vocational themes fall around that personality. When telling my supervisor about the assessment I found that is when she tells me, we use NJCAN. She told me a brief summary about and then I am expected to use it with the students tomorrow. I looked at the website…the username and password on a document I found were not working so I had to do my research on what the current password is. Got it from a coworker...thank god…I looked at the website, did the assessments and got a feel of what the students would be doing. It looked very simple. I planned a time, a date I will administer the test to the kids. I've developed a lesson plan around that activity so the students can learn a bit while doing the test. I gave my supervisor a step by step lesson plan I will be doing with the students. Approved. I asked a few coworkers do the students have their own usernames and passwords. I was told, yes, they have their own usernames and you can test 5 students at a time. I asked were the usernames made already. They didn’t know. It seemed my supervisor didn’t know anything about what the old job developer did with that, but I was confused because she is the one that introduced NJCAN and she used it with students in the past. I did have a student username and password that worked so I asked, do all the students sign in with this username and password? From what I remember, they said yes. I was under the impression that during my administration they will all log in with the universal username and password. I made my lesson plan and I specifically wrote out a step by step note of how they will log in and what tests they will be taking in which order on my lesson plan. My supervisor looked and approved the lesson plan so I figured out log in should be fine. I didn’t ask again because they already told me that the kids ill use the universal username and password. Anyway, my classes are today…its almost 1 AM. I woke up at 11 PM because my angel told me you can not do the classes tomorrow. You did not have the right information for logging students in. I woke up wide-eyed and I started to get anxious. I looked on google how to add accounts on NJCAN and my angel sent me to a NJCAN conference video (that was recorded in Middlesex county…small world) That gave me some clear answers on what Id have to do to add account which I will do tomorrow. So, I got my information and I was trying to sleep but I was very upset that my new job isn’t really setting me up for success. I already finalized plans to do the classes tomorrow with the academic instructor but now I must tell them that I need to set up accounts which will take some time, so I won’t be able to do a class until Friday. I just feel like I will need to work hard in learning this role and I will have to find on my own what questions to ask to get answers. They won't train me to where I can ask questions about what they are training me, I must train myself and whatever questions come up from training myself they will help. What I’m saying is I need to learn the role from scratch they are not taking the initiative to teach the role to me. I can describe what I am saying metaphorically. They are throwing me into the water and watching to see how I will learn to float. They won’t give me the life jacket until I learn on my own that that option is available to me and then ask them for the life jacket. They are not handing me the tools need to succeed, I must come up with it on my own and when I ask them about what I came up with, only then will they give me that tool. I am grateful that I have a working brain and that I can research on my own and use my own resources. It is unnecessary to teach someone like that. It is frustrating to me that they are expecting me to do so much research on the role without them taking the time to train me properly, so I don’t waste my time and the student's time. Training properly looks like them telling me step by step what to expect and what is expected of me when it is expected. Allowing me to shadow the role for a day, shadow the process of talking to an employer, shadow a process of placing a student in a transitioning part-time job while in school, and explain the timeline of what needs to happen throughout the 9-month program to ensure no time is wasted. My angel sent the old job developer to my job today. She happened to visit. She was chatting with the receptionist and I only talked to her because I was leaving to pick up my check from the other site and as I was leaving, I told the receptionist I will be back. Then I saw a new face and I reached my hand to say hello to her because I know to introduce myself to everyone that looks like they may be working there. Only when I did that did the receptionist say, “This is the old job developer.” I got so happy and told her I had so many questions for her. I asked her if she was leaving soon and she said she would be there for a while. I ran to the other site got my check and came back. Its just mind bottling to me that she came in and she did not think at all to come and introduce herself. But I feel like she might have assumed everyone was doing their part in teaching me. So, it’s not her fault. But anyway, she told me a lot of very valuable information and I exchanged numbers with her and asked if I could call her if I had any questions. She said yes and I have her a resource. I can’t help but think… if she did not come in…who would have told me this information and when? Was I expected to find this information out on my own? It's frustrating to me that I am expected to know what to ask. I didn’t know what questions to ask to get this information. Luckily the old job developer was there, and she talked a lot without me having to ask any questions. She just explained everything she thought I needed to know to be successful. I want my supervisor to take that initiative. Give me the information I need in moderation amount to ensure I can succeed in this job. She is leaving it up to me and I don’t know what to ask in order to feel more supported. I am grateful that I am capable of learning how to swim. I am equipped to find the research I need and figure out questions I need to ask to ensure my success. I thank my guardian angel so much for tonight because I am more prepared with knowledge now then I was before I knocked out at 9pm. On a positive note, the reason they are throwing me in there is that they have high expectations of me and that is a compliment. They believe I can do it on my own without much supervision. My supervisor probably just doesn’t know or have the time to train. I don’t think it because she genuinely wants me to fail, I think she is very distracted right now with her family life and training someone is last on her priority list. Her brother died 2 days after I started working. I wasn’t even expecting her to make it this week. But she did and she did give me the perfect amount of information to get me researching. I don’t want to put toxic thought in my head about this job. I really want to give this job my all to see if I can do it. I can see myself doing this job for many years and gaining my professional experience with this job long term. I wanted to express my frustration with this NJCAN information I just learned about. But I am thankful I am equipped to learn about it on my own and that I have this self-motivation to learn about it and use it as soon as possible. Tomorrow will continue to do resumes and set up the students with a NJCAN account. Friday I will work with the students on taking the test. Goal for this week is to have everyone take the assessments. So far, I have worked with 6 students on their resumes…I have 9 more to go. Hopefully, I will do 4 tomorrow. Then the other 4 on Friday after testing. IDK if it is time-efficient to have all resumes done. But it gives me something to do tomorrow other than setting them up for NJCAN. It's good I am doing it now before I get busy with placement. This way I just add to their resumes as they get experiences while they are in the program with volunteer work or transitioning jobs they’ll get. I know I need to focus on Jordon, Rontea, Erin and Alianna. That won’t happen until next week after my supervisor approves my introduction speech to prospective employers.

BF: this case is one of the worst for that sort of thing, I'll admit. I've played it multiple times and there are still places where I forget how to proceed

Q: I don't like using the tutorial at all but I've had to use it twice to proceed, at least I have that. When this game came out people would just be stuck and never get to f***ing leave, and when they did they would be like "THAT WAS IT THE WHOLE TIME I MUST BE DUMB". Are the later games better at this?

BF: Um...my favorite...well, tough to say. Obviously, I'm particularly stuck on game 2, though on retrospect game 4 is pretty fascinating (both for what it is and what it could have been)

BF: Generally speaking, most people agree that game 3 is the best of the original trilogy, though (game 2 isn't hated, but it has this ONE CASE that is near universally hated)

BF: Of the spinoffs, I'm personally partial to the second Ace Investigations, though that one you can only play in English via a fanpatch

I'm still playing game 6, so I don't know how I'd rank that one just yet

and there are two spin off titles that I have no way of playing in English at all right now, which is frustrating. No idea where I'd rank either of them. but the animation for those is PRETTY.

BF: Oh, but if you get a chance, one game I strongly recommend that was created by the original creator of Ace Attorney that isn't an Ace Attorney game (though it is allegedly set in the same universe) is a game called Ghost Trick.
