#I feel bad about cutting him off mid-monologue but also bro this whole conversation started with why I'm studying

thought that I was going to get a decent amount of studying done today, but one of my coworkers has a tendency to monologue for aaaaages and I’m not sure how long he talked today, but we covered bio for non-majors/general lack of bio knowledge in non-science people, animal behavior and the problematic assumptions that come with intelligence studies, biochemistry and chemistry labs when he was in undergrad, a very long impression of his Russian arthropod professor (at which point the head tech came in and was like ‘what the actual fuck is going on’), potential for life on other planets, plate tectonics on Venus(I think?), the max age for humans given our DNA, and a couple other random tangents.

anyway I did not get very much studying done.
