#I don't think Hawke even brings it up when dealing with Bartrand and Varania?

I was thinking about Hawke earlier right? And how they have the little blood smear on their nose?
So Carver or Bethany dies in the prologue, right? What if as their dying, they reach up towards their older sibling's face, trying to comfort them, and smears some of their blood across the bridge of Hawke's nose.
Hawke leaves Fereldan with their sibling's blood still caked on their face. It's gross, but Maker, they can't bring themselves to wash it off. It hurts far far to much, and the thought of loosing the last tie to their younger sibling rips their heart out.
Years later in Kirkwall, Hawke can often be found buying cans of face paint whenever they get the chance. For the smear of red across their nose (they would use blood, but Leandra had called it unhygienic) Most assume the smear is a way of taunting their enemies. It's fearsome, it's bold, it's the symbol of Hawke.
But to Hawke? It's their way of honoring younger sibling, even in their death.
#Dragon age#Hawke#Do I care if there is any ounce of canon in this? Nope. Not at all#Dragon age 2#I just thing that there should have been more callbacks#TO THE FACT THAT HAWKE LOST A WHOLE SIBLING???#Leandra and the alive sibling are the only ones who seem to mention it for the most part#Hawke does occasionally but like#It doesn't feel the same?#I guess bioware just didn't want your Hawke to have to care about the dead sibling#But still#I don't know. Wish the dead sibling had a bit more of an impact outside of the fact that Leandra and Alive sibling bring it up#I don't think Hawke even brings it up when dealing with Bartrand and Varania?#If there's a dialogue option for it I've never seen it#Oh wait I forgot to tag half of what I meant to shit#Bethany Hawke#Carver Hawke#Marian Hawke#Leandra Hawke#garrett hawke
