I like to headcanon that Jay (and his powers) is INCREDIBLY sensitive to caffeine, to the point that you'll get zapped if you're within proximity of him after he's had, like, a latte or something.

He has accidentally drank caffeinated drinks multiple times while working at the Administration and has used every excuse known to man to keep himself locked in his room without disturbances afterwards
