I obviously really like gnc and trans wwx, and I enjoy content about him recovering from abuse and trauma, but the way some of these authors treat him...the racism/homophobia of it all jumps out. it’s like they feminize him specifically to have him be saved, treat him exactly as a ‘woman’ of the relationship would be treated because of his sexual preferences, and they don’t recognize the fact that as a man he just isn’t affected by misogyny in the way a woman would be/that he has his own perspective and experiences as a bi man?

#literally read a summary that was just about fleeing domestic violence and none of the dynamics were changed at all #he was just treated as a woman #which is really sad for a number of reasons #not the least that as a bi man with significant trauma he deserves more attention than that #and it really isn't helping male survivors of domestic abuse either #I don't remember if him being called Furen was canon to the novel but I really don't like it....also the veil?#obviously he can have any relationship with gender/femininity that he wants to but it does make me suspicious about the author #ficblogging
