Past Tense: "The ice in the cup melted."
Present Tense: "The ice in the cup melts."
First Person: "I walked across the room."
Third Person: "He walked across the room."
Limited: "He wondered what the kid over there thought."
Omniscient: "He wondered what the kid over there thought. The kid wondered why that boy was staring at him."
#I hope I did those explanations alright#I didn't want to make them too complex#If I did it wrong I'll just delete the poll since you can't edit them :(#But personally I tend to prefer Third Person Omniscient because then you can switch view points.#I don't really care about tense but my brain says Past is more professional and serious for some reason#I guess technically you can have a First Person Omniscient narrator but it'd have to be a pretty specific instance#Not most stories just about humans#I'm sorry if this doesn't make any sense it just popped into my head and I got curious#Me and my little pointless information hoard over here
