reading another book series where the only sane solution is throuple and I have no faith that that’s how it’ll turn out.
I just want to make a note to authors: My dislike of love triangles has been said louder and better by a thousand other people and I don’t want to tell you what tropes you can and can’t put in your book. I don’t know what your editors and publishers are asking you for. I’m also not trying to say every time there’s two possible interests they should be a throuple.
BUT let me tell you something about the dangers of dragging out a love triangle interminably if a triad is not what you’re interested in writing. If, by the end of book two there are still two love interests, they’re both full characters with their own motivations, they both still bring out different and meaningful sides to the female protagonist, they both love her and know about each other, she would be devastated with the loss of either, and if the dudes could get their heads out of their asses they could probably be good for each other too... what you’ve written is a throuple. What’s more - you’ve slowly developed a throuple over several books. You should make your ending honor the books you wrote rather than having us watch a character you’ve made us care about get their heart broken, make a villain turn, die, or get ruined by annoying jealously plot lines.
