TBH 2nd of January is the most Scottish holiday: a free bank holiday as a result of previous generations' almost religious commitment to partying on Hogmanay/New Year, on which you are expected to do absolutely nothing other than veg out on the couch
#Burns night is great but it's a lot more work and people do it in other countries#St Andrews day who#I don't know her she's only fun for the google doodle maybe having unicorns#And so we have something in November to inaugurate the shortbread and mince pie season#But 2nd January is my love and my delight#A day entirely dedicated to idly watching flocks of geese and doing fuck all#Maybe different for different families though
